i just realised — harry and hermione literally lived together in a tent for months. i guess it’s inevitable that at some point you become quite desensitised to things like undressing in front of each other (to a certain extent obviously) or small everyday habits the other has.

so now i can’t stop imagining harry needing to take off his shirt for reasons unspecified and being awkward about it and hermione chasing him down so she can ‘have a proper look and see for myself if it’s as insignificant as you say it is, harry’ while tom is silently watching, somewhere between vaguely amused by the scene and downright angry at hermione for keeping the close nature of this relationship from him.

cherry on the cake would be hermione saying ‘it’s nothing i haven’t seen before, we’ve lived in a tent together for months’. i think that’s what would finally do tom in. i can imagine his head bursting like an overripe watermelon.
