Body wise, this was after his top surgery, he’s bulkier/beefy and works out a-lot to get in shape, now he’s more toned down.

Redwards' Revenge!

I want to try drawing other people's designs for characters sometimes, and this was a perfect place to start!

@hkpika07 has one of my absolute favourite fanons when it comes to 'Redward' - the name given to Edward's younger Furness Railway self. I have been hungry for more fanons of Edward being less than saintly as a young engine: a proto Bill and Ben who thinks his ashes don't burn, and this one ticks all my boxes so much!

So I drew hkpika's Redward with my fem!Redward, plotting some revenge mischief. Redward is a cocksure little engine with a penchant for graffiti. Fem!Redward is a Victorian aristocrat Minnie the Minx-esque engine, with a fondness for itching powder, catapults... and frogs!

I pity their intended victim(s)!

Little Lady Edward

A little concept for Edward as a child - whose early years as an adorable little hellchild and rebellious teenaged years helped shape her into the kind and wise mother engine we meet on Sodor

I chose an Edwardian coat design, given Edward's build date, and chose similar colours to the Furness Railway.

My headcanon for Edward's childhood and youth is that, while a sweet and kind child to most people, was prone to mischief and tricks to any "wrongdoers" that were careless enough to upset the little engine and his/her loved ones. An adventurous childhood and working knowledge of tricks and pranks was the perfect education for handling the spectrum of personalities on Sodor - including Edward's own twin hellraisers, Bill and Ben!

Edward didn’t come to Sodor on very good terms. He got into some scrapes on the Furness, so his manager put him on loan to Sodor in 1915. He didn’t improve; he was rough with trucks, barely trusted with coaches, and had an awful attitude. The older engines like Neil, and even the other loaners like Albert and Zach, quickly got sick of him and tried to set him straight - they all failed. It wasn’t until he found a renegade tank engine in the yard one night that he finally started to change…
