i started drawing this the second the build-a-bear story hit the stage, but i got carried away so here they are a few days later. this was my first time joining a smosh liveshow so i got a little swept up in the excitement, happens to the best of us !

context 1: shayne mentioned that he’s never “built a bear” before, but if he ever gets the chance, he should make a chosen bear

context 2: shayne pointed out angela and spencer’s leather jacket looks, and they joked that the last guests (tommy and courtney) were the “teddy bears” and that they (angela and spencer) were part of the “after dark line.” they also said they had writers in the back prepping that joke for them LOL

basically gyro is a reddit incel misogynist loser and johnny is his anime waifu!

gyro is completely dedicated to johnny and johnny alone he has a ton of merch, makes fan edits, makes audio splices, he even cooks for johnny! his biggest dream is for johnny to become real so he can marry him

Johnny is from a relatively controversial anime! its genre is magical girl/monster of the week, but its main draw is that each girl and guy of the magical squad is built to romantically and sexually appeal to the audience. with each member filling a specific spot or trope. the show features a ton of fan service cause of this and theres a lot of 18+ official merch.

Johnny specifically was made to appeal to those attracted to the terminally ill delicate waifu. hence his disability. its similar to katawa shoujo where johnny's disability is portrayed really well but only because its supposed to appeal to those with a fetish for it. Johnny's also a big time kuudere as another charm point.

I normally post craft-related stuff on Reddit, but since I’m not using that rn, I guess I’ll put this here.

It’s supposed to look like the chameleon from “A Color of His Own”

But I kind of gave up 😂 (it’s only my second 3D felting project. I think I prefer 2D, lol)

The story is about a chameleon who is obviously (and unhappily) different from all of the other creatures. He eventually meets another chameleon, who is different in the same way. They become their own tiny community, and find belonging in each other.

I’m giving this chameleon to my friend/co-teacher, who is also a trans guy. I’ve always felt like he was my other chameleon, and I’m always very aware of those feelings every time I read this book (which is kind of a lot, since we’re preschool teachers, lol).

Something kind of traumatic happened when we went to a pride parade last weekend, but he was there for me and kept me safe. So I just wanted to do something to let him know that I appreciate him.

Time moves slowly in the sitting area of a candle-lit French powder room, and the flickering light brings out warmth from the mint-green wallpaper.

The couch you're stretched out on has been well-loved: the blush-pink upholstery is faded but distinguished and in good shape. You bury your face into one of its many voluptuous pillows and breathe in and in an instant, something floods your nose. The couch has soaked in powder from the many ladies that have graced its cushions.

You quickly unbury yourself and rush to a mirror to make sure you don't arrive to dinner looking like a beignet.
