Okay so since Reborn!Zero is in my little mind again I might talk about the idea that a lot of people made up some insane stories and urban legends about him.

While Crimson Wanderer is one of the names that he was given by the population, the other Winged Beast because of how he runs on fours and at a distance he looks like a lion. A dangerous monster that appears in ruins, slaying reaverbots with his sword or bare hands, always surrounded by spirits as he bathes in their oil. Listen Zero is iconic for his hair however it’s kinda a mess, but Zero tries to get it under control but man he misses showers so bad. Like it’s a bitch to get that mainted, when folks see it they think it’s a fucking Lion or something.

No one really got the chance to get close to it as most Diggers would faint or run away from him. If the Diggers ever faint in front of him he’ll just pick them up then carry them back to the entrance of the ruins before leaving.

For a time many believed he was a dangerous beast, however over time they realized that he was more of a protector than a threat. Especially that he saves Diggers from danger, despite how distant and aloof that he appears to be. However combined with the legends and myths around Spirits with their unpredictable nature. They were to constantly follow him, even aided by them in his battles. So many began to believe that he is either an Avatar of the spirits. Especially at nights when people see a flying bat winged figure with golden mane in the sky surrounded by many glowing lights, creating the belief that he is faring them to the afterlife.

Aka People think that he’s the Grim fucking reaper or basically mothman

He becomes respected to the point that on certain islands tend give out offerings as a form of thanking him for his services. Since it’s pretty hard to catch him or see him in a casual manner. Since again no one really caught a proper glimpse of him or he’s just most of the time covered in his cloak.

Zero absolutely took some of the offerings because of some of the stuff or at good shit. But another thing is that he actually notices folks trying to catch pictures of him when he pulls up on that cryptid shit. The cyber elves get on it too, taking the offerings or spooking some of the nosy folks who want to catch him for other shit.

Plus thanks to his social skills that are the equivalent of a brick, he can’t really have a casual conversation without getting people freaked out. Like listen Zero tries with Ciel’s encouragement but he doesn’t really find it as useful since again there’s absolutely no one in his time that he can converse except for her and the cyber elves (and his eventual adopted daughter).

This led into the rise of really cursed images of Zero moving around with his glowing friends. Like really cursed photos of him, like those cryptid photos that you see on the internet. Like there would be memes of him and wild tales about him.

Zero believes that this is both annoyed and amused that people thought he was some sort of deity/cryptid. If X and Axl saw Photos and heard the absolute batshit crazy stories of him from the people of Terra they would lose their absolute SHIT. They are never letting this down on to him

She barrels into the digging site without concern for the wellbeing of her Servbots or the diggers in the area. Piloting Gustaff, a large green mecha machine, she pushes past the group and towards the refractor tucked away within the ruins, its wheels kicking up dirt and large gun pointed in the direction of anyone wanting to intervene.

She has to be quick. Selling such an important piece of energy meant money to help her brother get out of debt. By now, the desperation was setting in that she grew distraught with concern. So much so that it clouds her judgement.

It doesn't matter that the refractor was being heavily guarded by a Reaverbot determined to protect it. She needed it!

She barely has a few seconds to prepare herself for its attack as it reveals itself from around the corner and shoots a laser beam of energy straight for her.

❝Miss.Tron, look out!❞ Servbots #22 and #19 shout to warn her as she clenches her eyes tight, ready to embrace impact.

I'm not really sure how to show his head is easily removable. But this is what I'd imagine a newish villain for Megaman Legends 3 would have looked. Dr. Wily is a boat salesman in this world, but what about Dr. Weil? It would explain who made all the reaverbots, right?

Megaman Legends Reaverbot!! I’ve been playing a lot of the Legends series since the break and I’ve always love the Reaverbot’s weird ancient robot designs.

Also, Ransānaito is just Lancer Knight translated into Japanese via google 😅 felt cooler and closer to a Reaverbot name haha

Jet and Morgan's last name is Willingham. Named after Travis Willingham. They are both Red Heads. They are glorified Knuckles tributes.

Rin is... I think I just thought it sounded cool. Bushido, while I'm unknown of the source, "Bushido Blaster" is something that's been floating around in my mind and I went with it.

Makoto was in fact named after Makoto Nanaya. I wanted to write a Makoto, didn't think I was ready to write that specific Makoto.

Michael is short for Bike-ael. Mike, Bike, he was a joke character from the start, don't act surprised.

Gatz is named after a side character in MegaMan Legends 2, and I thought his reaverbot form was sick. Vedastus came later, and I used a name definition site to find it.

Roy was actually named after a long lost friend who shaped my childhood.

Sofia was named after a sweet girl I knew in highschool, but like Roy; their personalities do not match. Wanna make that clear, I'm not writing real people as OCs.

Gil and Haku... Had no thought put into them, I won't lie. I googled Hawaiian names to get Haku, and Gilbert sounded funny.

Tamako was named after a Battle Network character that I thought was fun to fight against.

Raiden was named after Raiden from MGS, especially because of a moment in MGS4 with the whole "I am lightning, the rain transformed."

And Vivi was actually named by his first canonical trainer, an OC named Rosie.

Does fankid stuff count as recent ship developments? After me and Teisel adopted Anna, it took us a week or two to convince her that "No, we don't own some weird-looking domesticated reaverbot. That's your uncle Bon. Please stop hiding from him he just wants to play with you orz".

Now the first thing she does when we dock at a new island is go exploring with him. I guess you could say they're…Bon-ding.

Basically the header is just the promo image I had for my Mega Man Legends 2 streams. The Reaverbots have been the one thing in a game I've streamed that were able to reliably scare me so I am running away from them oh so scared, hoping to keep my lil U-bots safe (originally they were servbots because U-bots didn't exist yet)

CARBON LORE: Islands and Continents

Terra is mostly flooded, leaving only islands, archipelagos, and smaller continents. This means that most of the settlements are largely located on islands. Each island has a unique culture, resources, and environment; some islands are further apart than others. However, because there are only a few continents, most people believe that is where the majority of carbon is located, but this is not the case. There are numerous differences between these locations, and that is not even taking into account the ruins. Not all islands are populated, as there are hazards that prevent carbons from residing there, depending on the environment and weather conditions.

However, there is a distinction between dangerous islands and forbidden islands. A subset of islands is considered too dangerous for even diggers to visit without a proper expedition team. These islands are extremely dangerous due to the numerous threats that exist there, such as unpredictable storms, powerful reaverbots, unstable environments, and so on. Despite the many dangers, they also contain valuable treasure, refractors, and other items. There are even rumors that it is believed that the mother load may be located on one of the forbidden islands, but it remains undetermined.

In terms of the continent, it is interesting because these last areas of land are not as large as they once were, but they are still big enough to be considered continents. It is mostly where larger settlements are located; however, half of the continent is not completely populated because it contains larger ruins and dangers that islands cannot deal with. Most of the time, it is located in safer areas, such as the mountains or the coast, where others can visit their settlement. It houses a much larger population of diggers who travel on expeditions or gather resources for their settlement. It is primarily where the S rank exams are held because the ruins are much larger and more extensive than those on the islands.

Because of the society in which Carbons lived, trade was common within the settlements. Inter-island trade occurs when most islands trade specific resources for each other, particularly across continents. However, when it comes to communications,it varies since the internet doesn't exactly exist. Carbons have to rely on cable networks and reception in order to have communications however there are islands that have limited reception so they have to rely on local news or by passing travelers to receive it. So not all news spread through Terra.
