Guaranteed a "You are not immune to hot lady knight" situation. So long as the writers for a genderbent Siegfried don't pull a lazy and make her character thinner than rice paper, she'd be put on my exceptions list alongside Quetzalcoatl and Mata Hari.

...Before you ask, Kriemhild's a little too similar to me, so that's why she's not on my list.

Just look at Siegfried's pretty eyelashes and lovely hair. Merely watching him joust would lure you into forgetting your sexuality...but that's just my opinion on the matter.

Which reminds me. The Nibelungenlied never went into detail about how they fell in love. Just pulled another instant love at first sight like the Völsunga saga - not a trope I've ever understood personally.

So. Instead. I've grown to imagine Kriemhild initially going "Who's this Prince Siegfried and why should I care about him, Gunther?" only to catch a glimpse of him practicing with Burgundy soldiers from her window.

And, bit by bit, she slowly forgets about that dream prophecy her mother interpreted for her, despite her efforts. His voice did her no favors in trying to resist over the days he spent in Burgundy before actually meeting Kriemhild. But, what does break her resolve, is not either his voice or appearance, but a couple love letters he personally begged Hagen a servant to bring to her over the months.

Not exactly the best story idea to explain how they fell in love, but it's serviceable enough of a headcanon for me to use.

Honestly, I imagine that the personality would still be the same, just as a different binary. Hmm, hot dragon lady knight... 😳

Also, kinda like that headcanon! I personally never really question the "love at first sight" trope when it pops up (whether it's from ancient myths and legends or modern day stories, just as long as it's believable enough I don't mind), but I do like how it's given an explanation on how Kriemhild fell in love with him. And just imagining Siegfried having to beg Hagen probably more than a few times is funny in a way.

so i haven't read in a couple of months because life is busy, but i really like the variety and diversity in character designs and personalities. From what I remember, I really enjoy their dynamics and how well they all work as characters in their world. i can probably give a more in depth answer once i get into it again.

Anon because I'm embarrassed, but I have a question about creating Realta-sonas. I know there's not really guidelines for stuff like that, but what information would make sense on the character sheet?

I.e. Birthday and star sign, for obvious reasons, but what else would you say is vital character information within Realta? When you introduce a new character, what information is the reader told early on?

He missed his wife and 4 years old daughter.

A loving father. A talented violinist, an amazing chemistry teacher.

What a shame, the justice system failed him. So he decided to take them out instead.

Background:

His past is not the brightest.

His parents were usually violent towards him even if he didn’t do anything wrong.

They were quite strict, so one wrong mistake could result in being beaten up.

Despite everything, he had grown up to be a good guy.

Has friends, a loving wife and a cheerful daughter.

But all has gone too soon since XX/XX/2022.

His wife and daughter went missing out of the blue, resulting him in a state of depression and grievance.

His wife and daughter, Mrs.Williams and Emily Williams were found dead in a pond.

Found out about those information made him berserk and determined to find the murderer(s) behind that tragedy.

A year after the murder, he found out his parents were behind it. He had reported to the justice system, yet the system did not believe him, not even a single word. And this result him being in a horrible mood. After that, he reunited with his parents again. Out of rage and vengeance, he took revenge for his wife and daughter by ending both of his parents’ lives.

“You bastards, burn in hell. Pay for the bright future that you two took from my daughter and my wife”.

After being sentenced for first degree murder, he got swooped by Urbanshade who promised for his freedom after retrieving the crystal from the Hadal Blacksite. He accepted the offer because he wanted to get back his freedom as well despite everything. If that freedom ended up being false, he’ll end himself in the prison, cold and alone. He just wanted to see his wife and daughter again. He missed them.

He regretted for not being on time for them. Even though their deaths were inevitable.

That’s when he first met Realta, an expandable who is still a teenager. Despite not knowing much about them, he bonded with them quite well and quickly, seeing them as his child soon enough.

He believed Realta’s words and explanations. He believed they are innocent.

“They’re innocent. Whoever framed them for the crimes is a coward”

He’s quite protective of Realta.

He does not care if he doesn’t make it out alive, he only cares if Realta makes it out alive or not because he had already lost almost everything.

He’s not really used to physical affection from anyone, or any form of affection in general besides his friends (platonically & now ex-friends), his wife and platonically from his daughter.

He does not know how to process if anyone hug him or shown him any form of affection.

He’s mentally drained for most parts.

Someone give this old man a break and a hug he deserves.

Such a shame that he out of all people, framed you, didn’t he? Yet you still took the blame because you were scared and blackmailed by him

Realta, you don’t deserve any of this.

Background:

They used to live in Greece before moved to America.

They’re a timid teenager

They’re not mute or selectively mute, just prefer not to talk too much and would prefer express their words through body language more.

They are very passionate about drawing and tailoring clothes.

Their family is not the best.

They were neglected by both of their parents, but good for them that their two older siblings are still willingly to help them. They love their two older siblings a lot.

They used to have a pet rat named Remix. Originally named Remy after the rat from Ratatouille because that is their favorite show. But changed so it won’t be too confusing.

Their life was going so well with their two older siblings before a tragedy hit them hard. Their older brother was brutally murdered with a chainsaw.

Someone from school pinned the crime on them, even though they did nothing.

The crime does not have evidence to prove them to be innocent yet. But their older sister and their friends were on their side, knowing Realta that Realta wouldn’t murder their own older brother with a chainsaw, not to mention Realta does not like gore and violence at all.

And seeing this opportunity, Urbanshade decided to swoop them by manipulating them into taking the offer of retrieving the crystal from the Hadal Blacksite as well.

That’s when Realta first encountered Comet.From the beginning, Realta didn’t trust Comet because they were paired up with an actual convict but then later on, the two bonded very quickly. They then saw Comet as a father figure that they wish they and their two older siblings had in their lives. With Comet venturing with them into the Blacksite, it made them felt more at ease and made them felt a sense of safety, a sense of being protected by a parental figure that they had never experienced before.

After hearing Comet’s story, they comforted and eventually felt more comfortable being around Comet. Trusting the man who they barely know a lot and they think his actions were justified.

“I think it’s fair. If the justice system is not going to help him, others might’ve been in more danger”.

They wanted to make it out alive with Comet so both of them can be family to eachother.

Realta is touch-starved.

Realta’s sister, [REDACTED] Sotiris attempted suicide after Realta was taken away, her only family member left.

No worries, she’s alive and trying her best to cope. Her fiancé is helping her too.

Before being experimented on, Z-187 is isolated in an all white room. With their clothes are also white. The other stuff with colors were their skin, eyes, hair, their hairclip and the crayons with their drawings.

Z-187 is shown to have a friendly relationship with researcher Kate.

Z-187 is very cooperative and is doing this out of free will.

“Someone save me please, it’s so lonely here. It’s painful here. I don’t know how much longer can I endure the experiments here”.

They have escaped alongside with stealing the crystal.

media that promises high sexual content (in this context nukige) attempting serious, high stakes plots will all predictably suffer from the same issue of not knowing how to cohesively develop the story aspect and the sex aspect. even a good writer that can integrate sex into plot progression will struggle with transitioning character building moments (casual interaction, isolated contemplation, monologues, etc) and the introduction of plot elements into sex scenes in a way that doesn't break one's immersion in the former two. it's a difficult issue to work around because conventional eroge will have sex scenes as a reward for story progression while with nukige, the upfront sex is the selling point. a character drama mediated by sex will be super easy to work with, but what about a globe spanning cataclysmic chuuni plot that weaves politics, religion, philosophy and multiple factions with competing nonsexual interests into its ever expanding stakes? a strange thing to want to see realized in The Sex Game Genre. it ultimately leaves titles that adopt this approach to storytelling 2 options: having a character go "this huge existential crisis can be solved with my peanus (and you have to take me seriously)", or having a family guy styled cutaway to random people having sex.

the game that the person in that review was writing about was mostly the second, so you would have the writer dumping paragraphs worth of text about eros and agape, the nature of suffering and survival before hitting you with a "Meanwhile..." and cutting to some messy thing. there were actually 2 characters who existed for sex scenes alone, simply so the main cast could continue with the plot (not that the main cast was above being subject to the family guy cutaway treatment, either). the game deeply wants you to acknowledge its story, the trailer for it emphasizes the atmosphere and gritty tone above all else; yet, I can't go "if only there was a realta nua type release where the sexual content was better balanced" because even in all it's larger than lifeness, the story still kind of only survives off of it's smaller character moments. the protagonists relationship in the true route was sweet, the raw feeling of struggle and hopelessness in the last arc are well conveyed, the fight scenes and body horror were actually cool and I was vested in the dilemmas of the side characters. at the same time, the philosophical elements meander meaninglessly quite a bit, the political commentary is trite at best, some characters werent as fleshed out as they should have been and I still am left with questions about major story elements that were just kind of left hanging. the game's thesis re: love is transparently lifted from madoka alongside many, many other elements (who could have seen that coming...), which is less a criticism and more an observation. the only reason I know of this game is because of how hard they amped up and marketed the nonsexual elements (not deceptively though lol it's quite obvious what you were getting into), so I feel bamboozled coming out of it underwhelmed. especially since a lot of it's content isn't stuff I would normally seek out -_-

I think what that anon is trying to say is, that given the fact that reincarnation is not limited to Realta but to other people as well, would these people be reborn as their same sign in their previous life? (For eg would Keska be born a Virgo again or would her sign change?)

Regular people can reincarnate into any sign. Only the Realta are guaranteed to be reborn as the same sign in every lifetime
