Standard "you can do what you want forever and my opinions are naught but mine own" disclaimer, but I find characterizations of America where he believes himself to be king of the world and gets off on having power or being super dominant or is super power-hungry and power-obsessed or whatever to be kinda boring.
There's nothing particularly interesting to me about a person who is power-obsessed when they already are in a particularly powerful position and/or are perceived by others to be and/or believe themselves to be. Give me insecure America. Give me America who talks a big game but fears he will not live up to what is needed of him when it matters most. Give me America who feels crushed beneath the weight of his own expectations but knows deep in his heart that, like all nationfolk, the ship of his own life will never be his to steer.

how did Steve's phone call to Clint even go? "Hey, I know you're retired, but Tony locked Wanda in her room" "he WHAT?" "Yeah he locked her in her room" "I'm on my way" "hey we could use another team member too, while you're at it" "sure, I got you"
Clint really showed up and said "you locked my newest daughter in her room, man, that's kinda fucked" and proceeded to kick ass
