But where can those seeking a bit more room go while still being within commuting distance of the big cities?

They should probably head south. John’s Creek, GA, about 30 minutes northeast of Atlanta, offers the largest average apartment size outside one of the 30 largest cities, according to a recent analysis by RENTCafe. Apartments in the Atlanta suburb clocked in at an average of roughly 1,225 square feet. That’s plenty of space for an extra work area, an online schooling nook for the kids, or even a hobby room.

The median rent in John’s Creek was $1,950 a month, according to realtor.com® data.

The rental site looked at apartments only within the 30 largest metropolitan areas, which include a main city and surrounding suburbs, towns, and smaller urban areas. RENTCafe used Yardi Matrix data to analyze apartment sizes. Only rentals in buildings with 50 or more units were included.

Wellington, FL, about an hour and 20 minutes north of Miami, offers renters an average of 1,208 square feet. Meanwhile, Lake Wylie, SC, about 30 minutes southwest of Charlotte, NC, provides an average 1,205 square feet.

Rounding out the rest of the top 10 were Pikesville, MD, outside of Baltimore, at 1,185 square feet; Longwood, FL, outside of Orlando, at 1,178 square feet; Avenel, NJ, outside of New York, at 1,176; Park Forest, IL, outside of Chicago, at 1,168; Bear, DE, outside of Philadelphia, at 1,141; Rancho Palos Verdes, CA, outside of Los Angeles, at 1,133; and Woodbury, MN, outside of Minneapolis, at 1,123.

Other notable metro areas not in the top 10 were Camp Springs, MD, roughly 30 minutes southeast of Washington, DC; Peabody, MA, about 30 minutes northeast of Boston; and Menlo Park, CA, about 30 miles south of San Francisco.

RW É SHOW!

O cantor Rafael Wellington, têm mais de 10 anos de carreira. Inicialmente, começou sua estrada com a dupla Marcos Blener e Rafael, onde fizeram diversas apresentações e gravaram inclusive um CD.

Participaram de diversas entrevistas em rádios e programas de TV, sempre favorecendo a audiência. A dupla fez apresentações em casas conhecidas no DF, como: Barril 66, Clube do Espetinho, Três Ranchos, Boliche Hausser, entre outros.

Um tempo depois, ele também chegou a formar dupla com o cantor Daniel, mas o trabalho também teve seu tempo e atualmente o cantor segue em carreira solo e com a agenda movimentada.

Para termos uma ideia do belo trabalho do cantor, o mesmo participou de várias edições da Festa do Morango, realizada na cidade satélite de Brazlândia e sempre é recorde de público.

Não é a toa que no ano de 2013, a dupla participou da edição e cantaram para cerca de 500 mil pessoas (estimativa segundo o portal G1) e no ano de 2015, a dupla cantou para cerca de 200 mil pessoas (estimativa de público conforme o portal da festa).

Infelizmente, algumas fotografias de trabalhos realizados em outras casas de shows não pudemos obter, por falta de um fotógrafo na ocasião, mas as que conseguimos arranjar, já servirão para apresentar bem o trabalho do cantor.

No último sábado (dia 18/02/2016) fomos convidados à provar a famosa Feijoada Transmontana do restaurante Rancho Português, uma referência em comida portuguesa aqui no Rio de Janeiro.

Fomos os primeiros clientes daquele dia e sendo assim encontramos o salão só pra gente, lindo, espaçoso, muito bem decorado com temas portugueses, com pratos pintados a mão, quadros de personalidades portuguesas e lugares do país, os famosos azulejos e um fado (música típica portuguesa) tocando ao fundo finalizando o clima lusitano do ambiente.

Como estávamos em um restaurante português nos sentimos na obrigação de provar os bolinhos de bacalhau (que obrigação ruim, né?! hehe). Uma porção com 7 (sete) custou por volta de R$39,00 (não lembramos bem o preço, mas era bem próximo disso!). Sinceramente um dos melhores bolinhos que já provamos e a porção é bem servida, são grandinhos, crocantes, e com um bom azeite ficam uma del��cia! Super recomendamos provar lá e até levar para casa.

Após os bolinhos pedimos a “Feijoada Transmontana”, típica da região de Candedo, em Portugal. Ela difere da tradicional brasileira na cor do feijão, na nossa usamos o preto e na portuguesa usa-se o feijão branco.

Ela é preparada com feijão branco, joelho de porco defumado, pé, rabo, orelha, costela, paio português, cenoura e chouriço. O prato, que fez sucesso na casa durante o inverno, volta ao cardápio carioca todos os sábados a R$ 160 para duas pessoas e será servida entre os dias 04/02/2016 e 04/03/2016.

Feijoada de Feijão Branco

O prato é muito bem servido e tranquilamente três pessoas ficam satisfeitas com a quantidade que de feijoada que chega à mesa. A apresentação é bem bonita, em panelas de ferro, uma com o feijão e as carnes e outra com arroz preparado no caldo da própria feijoada, o cheirinho é de matar de tão bom!

Nunca tínhamos provado esse tipo de feijoada, e devemos dizer que estava maravilhosa e que sustenta muito gente! Depois do almoço fomos direto pra cama. A qualidade das carnes e o ponto do feijão estavam ótimos, nós amamos de verdade!

Berkadia Arranges $44M Class B Portfolio Refi

Wellington Park

Allmark Properties has received financing totaling $44.4 million for two Class B communities: the 260-unit Wellington Park in Lewisville, Texas, and the 164-unit Vineyard Village in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. Berkadia provided the 10-year Fannie Mae loans. The new mortgages replace existing debt of $28.8 million that Capital One originated in 2014, according to Yardi Matrix.

Located on 11 acres at 2479 Deer Run Road, Wellington Park encompasses 18 buildings completed in 1986. The community has one- to three-bedroom units. The amenity package includes laundry facilities, a pool, a clubhouse and a playground.

Developed in 1987, Vineyard Village has 17 buildings situated on 12 acres at 8950 Arrow Route. The unit mix includes one- to three-bedroom floorplans ranging from 708 to 986 square feet. The property has two pools, a gym, a spa and laundry facilities.

The brokerage team included Managing Director Charles Christensen, Senior Director Vincent Punzi and Vice President Lowell Takahashi. While the country’s lending landscape has shifted drastically as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Berkadia has continued to provide loans and broker sales, even as the firm’s employees have shifted to working from home.

Colorado breweries support Cali. fire victims

The Oxford English Dictionary defines resilience as “the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties; toughness.” Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. in California is taking that to heart, brewing a special Resilience Butte County Proud IPA to benefit victims of the Camp Fire, and nearly four dozen Colorado breweries are joining the effort.

Sierra Nevada brewed Resilience on Giving Tuesday and will give 100 percent of its sales to the Camp Fire Relief Fund. The brewing company is encouraging breweries across the country to brew the special ale. Sierra Nevada is even working with malt, hop and yeast suppliers to provide raw ingredient donations.

The Camp Fire, which started in early November, left at least 85 people dead and burned more than 153,000 acres. It destroyed about 19,000 structures in its path.

More than 1,000 breweries are signed up. Here is the list of Colorado breweries sorted by region:

The billionaire philanthropists Bill and Melinda Gates have purchased an exquisite beach house outside San Diego—splashing out on $43 million for an oceanfront mansion in the coastal town of Del Mar, CA. The prodigious purchase price makes it one of the largest sales in the area’s history.

The luxurious six-bedroom, four-bathroom, 5,800-square-foot home was sold to the Gates family by Madeleine Pickens, a former wife of the billionaire oil baron T. Boone Pickens, according to the Wall Street Journal. The home originally landed on the market for $48 million in January 2019.

The oceanfront property was built by the architect and designer Ken Ronchetti in 1999. According to the listing details, the house is well-known as a city landmark and is considered “one of the most prominent coastal contemporary beach homes on the West Coast.”

The elegant residence comes with 120 feet of private ocean frontage.

MIAMI, Estados Unidos.- Matthias Krull, exejecutivo del Banco Suizo, se declaró culpable de lavado de dinero en una corte de Miami como parte de una trama que blanqueó unos 1.200 millones de dólares desfalcados a la estatal Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA), publicó la agencia de noticias EFE.

Krull, ciudadano alemán de 44 años, aceptó un cargo de “conspiración para cometer lavado de dinero” en una demanda que también involucra a los venezolanos Abraham Edgardo Ortega, exdirector ejecutivo de Finanzas de PDVSA; Carmelo Urdaneta, ex asesor legal del Ministerio de Petróleo y Minería de Venezuela; Francisco Convit Guruceaga y José Vicente Amparan Croquer, alias “Chente”.

Krull, quien residía en Panamá, será sentenciado el próximo 29 de octubre por la jueza Cecilia M. Altonaga, informó este miércoles el Departamento de Justicia de Estados Unidos.

En su alegato, Matthias Krull admitió que ayudó a clientes privados de Venezuela a malversar unos 600 millones de dólares de Petróleos de Venezuela, SA (PDVSA), a través de un plan de cambio de moneda extranjera en 2014. El año siguiente, el esquema de malversación se disparó a $ 1,2 mil millones, de acuerdo con su acuerdo de culpabilidad.

Según el acuerdo de culpabilidad de Krull y su acusación formal, sus clientes en la trama incluían a Francisco Convit Guruceaga y tres conspiradores no identificados.
