What if Idris Elba & Damson Idris played in a movie together? What if that movie was about the richest man who ever lived, Mansa Musa? What if it was also about the first Africans to explore the Atlantic Ocean and discover the Americas over 150 years before Christopher Columbus, Mansa Abu Bakr II? Would you go watch it?

Like many of you, I want to see and tell stories about OUR people. I want to see those stories told at a Hollywood production level. We deserve it (Hollywood is uninspired, right now anyway).

I’m not using AI to fool anybody, I’m using AI because I don’t have the money or the connections to get in a room with the executives at #appletv #universalpictures #netflix #primevideo #wbpictures #paramountpics #disneystudios or #sonypictures to help them see the big picture (yes, I did just tag all of them. Here is a fun AI experiment I played with. I made this lil’ series of #microfilms using @runwayml #gen2 ‘s “text prompt to video” feature to make these - (they are a series of 6 or 7, 4-8 second individual clips) - I spliced /edited all with my iPhone using the iMovie app in about 15 mins each - such fun, and I like how fast I can ideate and iterate - more to come!
