Date: Oct. 14, 1733

Jamestown was a bust. Community of blockheads with no sense of vision.

Arrived in village of Brandenburg, est. pop. 300. Hoped to find it more amenable to my wares, but so far the townsfolk seem guarded and, at times, hostile. Little wonder - bad timing. It seems a murder took place in the early hours, a young boy. A dreadful sight, to be sure, but nothing in the town's response to the tragedy adds up to sense.

In fact, I worry I've traveled into a den of lunatics.

To wit:

Several other strangers to town arrived with me today. A shipwright sorely lacking in a sense of personal skills, a wildman trapper with a face like the backside of an ass, and Mr. Fancypants the Hessian soldier-for-hire who, from what I gathered eavesdropping, is here to deliver a package to the richest family in town. None of his story makes sense to me, but I haven't had a chance to press him for details.

Despite the boy's death being a spectacle drawing most of the town to see, his family in hysterics, the body was cleared away most unceremoniously and the task of burial fell to OUR hands. What sort of family buries a child in unconsecrated ground, with no funeral, and trusts the deed to a group of strangers? Once more, none of this makes any sense. The only local to aid us in this was a simple farm boy.

Strange things have been happening to my senses since arrival, as well. Apparitions of a most unpleasant nature, whispers in the tavern from no clear origin. A bible burst to flames in my hand and restored itself when I tried to show the evidence. At first, I worried some ergot had poisoned the ale, but I fear it's much worse than that -- for the others have seen the same things. Five men may all be driven to hallucinate at once, but not the *same* ghastly visions.

Most damning of all, I encountered a blacksmith who insisted that a demon arrived this very morning to their small town. When pressed for details, he was a most unhelpful and suspicious source, but I am convinced he was dead serious in his assertion.

One of my companions (to use the term generously) encountered a woman in the woods and though he prattled on quite nonsensically, one thing was evident: this murder is not the only instance of such an evil in this town's history, whatever the other locals may claim.

I made just one pleasant acquaintance in an otherwise very long and exhausting day, although I worry his friendship may not ingratiate me with the townsfolk. No matter. I don't think I want to stay long enough to make further friends.

The blacksmith warned against trying to pass the woods at night, so I am stuck here at least until morning light. My plan is to leave at dawn and put this cursed place and its devilry behind me.

Evbo gave a long sigh, leaning against oak paneling and looking out on a lovingly crafted pond full of axolotls. He'd traveled thousands of blocks just to find tropical fish for his beloved colony of salamanders. Still no signs of a blue variant yet, but he loved them all the same, carefully relocating many when the pond got too crowded.

He looked to the sky as it began to change colors, watching as the clouds went past. A yawn escaped his lips and he stepped towards the door.

Warm lantern light filled the little place they called home. It wasn't real. They knew that. But he liked having a place where his whole body wasn't sore from crawling through the vents and his lungs weren't always gasping for more air.

He made his way up the stairs, immediately greeted by the bark of his dog. He chuckled to himself, smiling as he went over by the bed. The dog followed at his feet and he stooped down to scratch behind its ears, head tilting affectionately.

Then he began tiredly removing armor, plates of iron and diamond to protect his vitals, placing it all on an armor stand sitting a few blocks away from a shared green and purple bed.

foolish definitely has an "rp mode", a certain lilt to his voice and delivery that has my attention locked on every word for hidden meaning and hints as he crafts his character in real time. it's most definitely subtler than others and so more easily goes under the radar to non doozers but it's undeniably there and if you're used to it and paying enough attention you come to recognise when he is or isn't in this "rp mode" and sometimes even the moment he shifts between them.

It's something about how every word is spoken with intention and deeper meaning, you can tell foolish is thinking more. Very specific wording choices and the ways he dodges around certain topics or implies others. At times it even feels like he's handpicking every word, carrying this unique weight not found anywhere else in his streams. He talks slower, his tones different, i swear the atmosphere of the whole stream shifts. Theres also an underlying smugness to it all because he's a bastard and knows he's killing it and that we the audience are eating that shit UP

foolishs rp is often discredited because he's sillier, and less "serious". He has his own unique rp style hes found for himself over his years of mc and other rp but because it's less obvious in your face crazy angst it seems like it's harder for non foolish viewers to identify. Honestly it's been really cool to watch his style develop as he finds what works best for him personally and it's only gotten better and better, I hope to see more of his rp wherever he decides to take it next.

The first thing on Seven's (Christov's... He'd have to drill his own name back into his head. Unfun.) growing list of things to do was finally sit down and hang out properly with all the fellow idiots he'd gotten to know over the last Year(s)?

Nexy on that list was a certain spear wielding Drifter, who'd finally gotten together the things to have him over for drinks. A win-win in the ex-scaldra's opinion.

When he did arrive, he cautiously knocked on the door-frame of the Drifter's chosen hideaway, clearing his throat as his unlatched the mask he was wearing, letting it hang around his neck.
