Canon presenta l'obiettivo RF 28-70 f/2.8 IS STM: tanta luce, prezzo ridotto

Top Must-Have Gear for Stunning Wedding Films
Essential Gear for Wedding Filmmaking
Wedding filmmaking is a distinct and demanding field that necessitates a specialized array of tools and equipment to capture the true essence of the special day. With the proper gear, wedding filmmakers can deliver seamless, high-quality footage that narrates an engaging story. Equip yourself with the indispensable gear required for a triumphant wedding shoot. Gain insights from seasoned wedding filmmakers on the must-have tools and equipment that will guarantee smooth, high-quality wedding films.
Camera Equipment
The camera choice is crucial for any wedding filmmaker. A favored option among professionals is the Canon EOS R5, which boasts 45 megapixels, 8K video recording, and in-body image stabilization. Its high resolution is particularly beneficial for capturing the intricate details of a wedding day.
Renowned for its exceptional low-light performance and 4K video capabilities, the Sony A7S III is another dependable option for capturing beautiful wedding footage. This camera excels in dimly lit environments, such as indoor receptions and evening ceremonies, where natural light may be lacking.
For those who prefer a compact yet powerful camera, the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro is an excellent choice. With 6K resolution, a Super 35 HDR sensor, and a built-in ND filter, it offers greater creative control and versatility in various shooting conditions.
Lenses
No camera setup is complete without the appropriate lenses. The Canon RF 28-70mm f/2L USM is a versatile lens with a wide aperture, ideal for capturing candid moments and low-light situations. Its versatility makes it a staple for many wedding filmmakers.
The Sony FE 16-35mm f/2.8 GM is perfect for ultra-wide-angle shots, such as sweeping landscapes and group photos. These shots often capture key moments at wedding venues with scenic backdrops or large family gatherings.
For enchanting portrait shots with exceptional sharpness and beautiful bokeh, the Sigma 50mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art is outstanding. It's a high-performance prime lens that can truly highlight the emotions and expressions of the couple on their special day.
Audio Equipment
Clear audio is just as important as high-quality video. The Rode Wireless GO is a compact wireless microphone system that ensures crystal-clear audio for interviews and speeches. Its reliability and user-friendliness have made it a favorite among wedding filmmakers.
The Tascam DR-10L is a compact digital recorder with a built-in lavalier microphone, perfect for discreetly capturing audio. It's particularly useful for hidden miking techniques during ceremonies and vows.
For more complex audio requirements, the Zoom H6 is a versatile portable recorder with multiple inputs for capturing high-quality audio from various sources, ensuring no precious moment goes unheard.
Stabilization and Support
Smooth, stable footage is essential for professional wedding films. The DJI Ronin-SC is a lightweight, three-axis gimbal stabilizer that ensures smooth footage during dynamic shots. It's an excellent choice for capturing fluid motion sequences, such as walking down the aisle.
A sturdy tripod like the Manfrotto 535 with a fluid head is necessary for static shots and achieving smooth pans and tilts. This equipment provides the stability needed for longer, stationary shots during ceremony coverage.
Additionally, the Peak Design Slide Lite camera strap is a versatile accessory, offering quick access and secure support during shooting. It's particularly beneficial for photographers who need to be mobile and ready to adapt quickly to different shot requirements.
Lighting Equipment
Proper lighting can significantly enhance the quality of wedding footage. The Aputure MC RGBWW LED Light Panel is a compact, portable light source that offers adjustable color temperature and brightness, making it suitable for various lighting conditions throughout the wedding day.
For handheld, battery-powered LED light, the Westcott Icelight 2 provides soft, diffused illumination. It's especially useful for quickly lighting up a subject without the need for complicated light stands.
For those on a tighter budget, the Neewer bi-color 480 LED video light kit is a budget-friendly option that offers adjustable color temperature and brightness. It's suitable for studio-like setups during pre-wedding preparations or interviews.
Accessories and Extras
Reliable accessories are often underestimated but crucial. A high-capacity memory card like the Sandisk Extreme PRO 1TB SDXC UHS-I Card is essential for capturing 4K and 8K footage. These high-speed cards ensure that you never miss a moment due to storage limitations.
For transporting and protecting camera gear, the Pelican 1510 Carry-On Case offers durability and watertight protection, making it a dependable choice for traveling filmmakers.
Lastly, the Think Tank Photo Airport Advantage Rolling Camera Bag combines portability with functionality, providing a compact, TSA-friendly solution for carrying essential gear.
Equipping yourself with the necessary gear for a successful wedding shoot is crucial for capturing high-quality footage that tells an engaging story. By investing in reliable camera equipment, lenses, audio gear, stabilization tools, lighting equipment, and accessories, wedding filmmakers can ensure a smooth and successful wedding film production.

Canon Project Part #2- Creating Color with Off Camera Flash- Canon EOS R with the RF 28-70mm lens by Jason Lanier
Welcome to Part 2 of the Canon Project, a series of videos related to our time using the Canon EOS R. In Part 2 we showcase a workshop and shoot we did in Helen, Georgia in conjunction with an event we were doing for PPA (Professional Photographers of America) for their Georgia Chapter (GPPA).
**Links to Gear Used in This Shoot**
*Canon EOS R- https://bhpho.to/2U8W4Cd
*Canon RF 28-70mm lens- https://bhpho.to/2FCH9pI
*Godox AD 600 Pro- https://bhpho.to/2FH9gnu
The location for this video was the Bus Graveyard which is a REALLY cool place to shoot. This was Day 3 of our 4 day workshop that I was teaching for the PPA members and on this day the group asked me to demonstrate a shoot from start to finish as well as give them a heads up on how I recorded my Youtube videos.
So, that’s what my Assistant/Muse Emily and I did! You can follow her on Instagram at www.instagram.com/em.explores
For this shoot we used the Canon EOS R with the RF 28-70mm lens. A lens that quickly found it’s way into my creative heart. It’s one of my favorite lenses on the planet at this point.
But we just didn’t shoot in a cool location with a great model and a new camera/lens. We also wanted to illustrate the difference that using flash can make when shooting in conditions that aren’t ideal for lighting. There is nothing better than the best natural light. But that' only exists for about 1 hour a day. And that’s only if it happens to be facing the direction that you want to shoot.
So sometimes you need to have the ability to ADD light to your scenes to be able to capture what you or your clients want or need to create. Sometimes we don’t have the luxury of picking the time when we shoot. Sometimes we have to make our own light.
In this video I show the difference between the two, demonstrating images side by side showing images taken with flash vs. images taken with natural light. Take a look for yourself by checking out the images below:
The images with flash have much more light and color. Because color = light in the world of photography. I purposely chose to make this Part 2 of the project because Part 1 shows a natural light shoot done correctly which has plenty of color and light. But that’s only because it was shot at the ideal time of day.
Below are images from the shoot:
For this shoot I have to say the Canon EOS R did exceptionally well. Focus wasn’t as fast as I’m used to with my Sony cameras, but for a portrait session like this one it was more than fine. The color rendering and effect on skin tones is really nice.
And that LENS. WOW, the RF 28-70mm f/2 is just a pleasure to shoot. There will be people who complain about it’s size and weight. But for me if you want awesome results you shoot awesome glass. And that’s one thing that Canon has done right with their mirrorless system. They are bringing out ultra professional, high grade glass. Far better than the offerings made by the Nikon Z system and far better than what Sony brought out when it first rolled out it’s mirrorless cameras.
The Canon also did much better shooting flash than the Nikon Z. It didn’t require me to do anything special to shoot in HSS (High Speed Sync) mode which was great since all of these images were taken in HSS with the exception of the natural light shot.
I truly hope you enjoy the content. If you missed Part 1 of the Canon Project which is a Natural Light Shoot done in Death Valley using the RF 24-105mm lens, you can check it out now by clicking below:
Thank you so much for watching and make sure to check out our upcoming parts of the Canon Project where we explore things like Black Light, LED, LED flash and more! We thank you for joining us and invite you to click on NOTIFICATIONS and the SUBSCRIBE button on my Youtube Channel.
See you next time!

What is the best lens for wedding photography?
Tumblr media
Wedding pictures are particular in that it encompasses numerous genres of pictures: fashion, portrait, architectural, product, macro, family, and every so often even journey pictures. Few genres call for extra from photographers and their gear.
Here is a subjective listing of 6 must-have lenses for any given wedding ceremony that the best wedding photographers in Madurai recommend.
1. 70-200mm
This is my preferred lens. It creates lovely bokeh (blur) at f/2.eight, and the compression you get while you’re zoomed in from 150-200mm offers your photo a glance that’s tough to gain with some other lens. It additionally lets you get in near the motion without disrupting the moment.
DSLR Options
Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L IS III USM Lens
Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8E FL ED VR Lens
Sigma 70-200mm f/2.eight EX DG APO OS HSM Lens for Canon EF
Tamron SP 70-200mm f/2.eight Di VC USD G2 Lens for Canon EF
Mirrorless Options
Sony FE 70-200mm f/2.eight GM OSS Lens
Canon RF 70-200mm f/2.eight L IS USM Lens
Nikon NIKKOR Z 70-200mm f/2.eight VR S Lens
2. 50mm
This is some other one in all my preferred lenses. The 50mm focal duration is terrific for portraits, and it may store the day while the mild begins off evolved to drop; the broader aperture lets you rely much less on for your flash and it creates a softer, extra herbal search for your subjects.
DSLR Options
Canon EF 50mm f/1.2L USM Lens
Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G Lens
Sigma 50mm f/1.four DG HSM Art Lens for Canon EF
Mirrorless Options

Canon RF 50mm f/1.2L USM Lens
Nikon NIKKOR Z 50mm f/1.2 S Lens
Sigma 50mm f/1.four DG HSM Art Lens for Sony E
Rokinon AF 50mm f/1.four FE Lens for Sony E
3. 24-70mm
The versatility of the 24-70mm zoom lens is crucial for smaller spaces. For example, a tea rite at a Vietnamese wedding ceremony is typically held in a dwelling room. The 70-200mm might be too compressed for this situation, and the 50mm might now no longer offer sufficient versatility, as you usually don’t have lots of room for movement.
DSLR Options
Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM Lens
Nikon AF-S Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8E ED VR Lens

When this newsletter turned into first posted in 2009, the 85mm f/1.2 turned into in our honourable point-out category, however, we’ve fallen in love with this focal duration. The 85mm lens is a real portrait lens that doesn’t distort the photo the manner that a few wider-perspective lenses do (together with the 24mm or 35mm), in particular alongside the rims of the frame. This lens additionally gives terrific compression and historical past bokeh at wider apertures.

Hi Alisa! I know you use the Canon RF 50mm f1.2 lens. For your photography, what's your opinion on the Canon RF 28-70mm f2?
I had no experience with this lens and cannot judge its quality, but I used 24-70 2.8 and I liked it, especially if there is enough lighting (2.8 is dark :( 2.0 is definitely better) The zoom is convenient so as not to change a lot lenses during shooting. (now I have 35 мм 1.4, 50 мм 1.2, 85 mm 1.2)

Seeing the light - Task 1 Portraiture Equiptment & Techniques
For Portraiture Photography, you want to have a large depth of field to better emphasise your subject. For this, you will need a lens with the largest possible aperture (This is usually f2 - f.5.6 depending on your camera).
Your standard Kit Lens is able to do have an aperture of f.3.6. Though, there are lenses which offer an aperture of f.2.
The  Canon RF 28-70mm f/2 L USM Lens, to name one:
Tumblr media
Although some cameras and lenses are better equipped than others for Portraiture, just about every camera can take a good portrait. However, one tip i have come across when researching is that for candid and documentary style photography, your most appropriate device to use would be small, easily concealed, lightweight camera. This means you can take a quick, still high quality image, and not draw too much attention to yourself.
Additionally, basic equiptment you will need is a tripod to steady your camera. You can purchase them from lots of retailers for a cheap price. An SD card with adequate storage is also required.
Lighting
A photograph, in basic terms, is a recorder of light. Lighting is the most important factor when considering your photograph. You can use light to determine the mood and focal points of your image. Light is also a vital tool to showcase shape, pattern and colour within a photograph.
When it comes to portraiture, there are three basic lighting techniques: Frontal, back and side lighting. I will briefly explain these concepts.
Frontal Lighting is light who's source comes from either behind the camera or from within the camera itself. This method of lighting completely highlights the front of the subject.
Tumblr media
Side lighting is light that falls on a subject from roughly a 90 degree angle on either side of the subject. This results in one side of the subject being more in the light than the other. It creates string contrasts and interesting shadows across the subjects face. This also ensures the subject is dimensional.
This lighting style is often used for your classic constructionist portraiture. As well as images that showcase a well known individual.
Although, one downside to this method of lighting is that your portraits risk coming our looking rather flat and dull. More dynamic lighting may be required depending on your theme.
Tumblr media
Backlighting is when the light source is directly behind the subject. This makes for an interesting contrast of the subject and depending on the strength of the light and the shape of the subject, a striking silhouette can be created.
Tumblr media
When practicing Portraiture Photography in a studio environment, the photographer is required to have various tools at their disposal in order to capture their photographs. For starters, you will need an appropriate backdrop to place behind your subject. You might choose to have a brilliant white backdrop or a soft grey colour. You could have vibrant green or red. If a block colour isn't your fancy, there are various printed and decorated backdrops which each provide their own unique twist on a photograph.
Tumblr media
Your source of lighting however, is perhaps the most important tool at your disposal. In a studio, you may use natural windowlight. But in terms of controlled lighting, your best options are soft boxes, LED ring lights or panels.
These can be purchased for reasonable prices at a number of stores and are often very easy to assemble and dissemble yourself.
Tumblr media
You may also wish to incorporate different props and costume into your portrait. You can dress your model in anyway that fits your vision and have them with any item that further adds to the final product.
How are Portraits used today? // Marketplace Potentials
Portraiture is arguably one of the most common and well practiced forms of photography. There are a wide variety of uses and final homes for portraiture, including but of course not limited to:
Fashion photography to be used when selling articles of clothing
Headshots for young actors looking for work
Autobiography pieces for famous individuals
Features in a magazine
General Advertising
Wedding Photography
Concert Photography
Documentary/Reportage Photography
Social Photographers
And many many more
