Alhaitham is nothing if he isn't self sufficient. He can take care of himself when needed and has done a lot of work to ensure that he can be independent. That's why he's not going to just give you something that you want that easily. No, you're going to have to work for it.

It's not that he doesn't want to submit, it's that he believes nothing good in life is worth it if you don't work for it. He's not going to make it easy for you either.

He's a busy man and expects nothing less than perfection of himself, which makes it nearly impossible sometimes to align your schedules for long enough for any of the things you want to do for him. That doesn't mean it's impossible though.

Cable notation:

Cont in stockinette or whatever you'd like! But I do find it looks best to close the shape off on top with one row of purls and then a minimum of 2 rows of knits, when looking at the RS of the piece.

There are like at least 3 different variances I tried and I liked this one, but I could also see it being a little jackal-like with the long ears, and it might be your preference to do the 2nd decrease row a row or two earlier than in this version. Another variance is switching one or two of the cables and/or decreases for the ears to the inner side of the ears to make them taper more to the center of each half of the face instead of following the outside line. I didn't like that shape as much for my project but everyone's taste is different!

I sewed on eyes but it works maybe even better with safety eyes. And sewing on the whiskers add a huge amount, really changes the shape and makes it look really good and cat-like really quickly.

Crotator-Tot Pattern

This Pattern does NOT have to be done in Half Double Crochet, that's just my personal preference because i don't like Single Crochet lawl. (I'm just poor artist so its also a cost saving management.

This is the first pattern i've ever written, so there will be mistakes because of that and because i've only been crocheting for 2 years ;))K

Fontaine Grind Update #2

I’ve finally gotten myself up to 83 pulls and I’m pretty sure that by the time 3.8 comes to a close, I’ll be at 100. So we’ll see where the count is once Furina’s banner rolls around, but it will definitely be over 200.

Still debating if I’ll try risking some pulls on the weapon banner for her signature weapon. Out of all the Archons I own, only Ei has her signature weapon so it would be nice to do the same for the rest of the Archons I own/plan to (at least on my main account, sorry Zhongli on my America account lol).

According to one leaker, Furina should be releasing during patch 4.2 (and she has no choice to come home, I have the guarantee. Finally Keqing, you haunting me between accounts has done something good for me) and Clorinde is still unknown.

But it’s my preference she doesn’t release until after Furina since it gives me time to replenish how many primogems it’ll take me to get Furina and focus those pulls on getting Clorinde. And like I said before, I’m grabbing the free Lynette in 4.0. The Traveler is going to be using Fontaine’s Pneuma mechanic and Lynette will be using Ousia, so it’ll be good to grab two free units with the core mechanics of the new region.

So I’m starting up the grind for artifacts to make the journey a bit less irksome for when the characters get here.

To start with Lynette, I’m going to be using the 4pc Viridescent. 

The 2pc Anemo DMG Bonus is nice but I really want the 4pc’s ability to decrease elemental resistance to the swirled element by 40% considering how Lynette’s burst works.

And due to her elemental skill’s cooldown being, presently, 12 seconds, I’ll be slapping onto her one of my Sacrificial Swords. A solid classic that never disappoints and I have two to spare that are at R5 each.

I’m likely going to have Lynette be in my initial Fontaine team with my Hydro Traveler. For starters, she’ll be my first Fontaine character and she’ll use the Ousia mechanic, so my first team is going to be centered around getting used to the Fontaine mechanics of Pneuma and Ousia and the enemies using them.

As for the other two characters, to fill in the slot... I’m thinking Candace and Kirara OR Mona and Kirara. I’ll try out both Candace and Mona and see which character I like using the most in the comp.

Anyway onto Clorinde, my Electro sword queen.

I’m also pre-grinding artifacts for Clorinde as well. One of her concepts included Mista and the Sex Pistols from JJBA (hilarious when Kaeya’s JP voice actor is Mista and Diluc’s JP voice actor is Giorno), which I hope they go with because that would make her kit so much fun. I’ll be going with 2pc Severed, 2pc Thundering Fury and I’m using an Electro Damage Wanderer’s Troupe goblet for the off-piece.

For weapons, I’ll see what I can give her once the leaks from actually beta testing her comes out since we don’t really have any hints from pre-existing characters like the Traveler to get a gist as to what she’ll be able to do, I’m going for a couple general options.

Sacrificial and it’s elemental skill reset is always a classic solid choice.

Favonius Sword... as a nod to when we thought Clorinde, then Captain R, was going to be from Mondstadt lol. And the particle regeneration would be pretty decent for her with what little we know about her anyway since it could help with Burst upkeep.

And the Flute. The 1=200% ATK DMG from the Chord skill at R5 actually sounds really nice and I currently have a Flute at R5 despite it only being leveled up to lvl 60.

Typically for 5*s I don’t go for their signature weapons unless I really and I mean REALLY like the character and don’t have any characters I’m trying to pull for afterwards. So I’m probably not going to get her signature weapon, if anything I’ll be putting those savings into getting Nahida and maybe even Cyno’s. 

Team comps for Clorinde that I have in mind? None so far, I have to wait to see what she can do and see the state of my future present characters’ friendship levels. If I really like a character, synergy be damned they will be on a team of characters I really like OR on a team full of characters I want to get to max friendship. We’ll see how it works for her but if you look at her Vision in the Fontaine teaser, she has an Ousia Vision so we’ll see if that also attributes to any comps I have for her.

As for Furina, who I’m hoping will be the only Fontaine character who can use both Pneuma and Ousia, I’m going to use one of the upcoming 4.0 artifacts for her, the 4pc Marechaussee Hunter (looking forward to the lore from that set) and I’ll be using an HP Heart of Depth goblet for (but if possible, I’d like an HP% Sand and a Hydro DMG goblet).

The 2pc Marechaussee increases Normal and Charged Attack DMG +15% and the 4pc set, the buff is: When current HP changes, CRIT Rate will be increased by 11% for 5s. Max 3 stacks. I’m using this set going off of the Hydro Traveler’s kit. The Traveler kit’s are always essentially watered down versions of the respective Archon’s depending on the element.

During the hold version of their elemental skill, when the Traveler's HP is higher than 50%, they will continuously lose HP and cause Dewdrop DMG to increase based on their HP. So Furina’s kit will definitely be involving HP drain in some way and currently, with how it works in the current beta, any kind of HP change will give a CRIT Rate increase. Depending on how her HP drain works, I’ll probably pair her up in a team comp with Kokomi or Yaoyao.

Weapon-wise, we know she is going to be a sword user and since it is pretty up in the air on whether or not I’ll be using her signature in the first place, I’m looking at other options.

First is the Black Sword (currently on my physical Traveler, my preference since he can switch through all the elements). My honest-to-Archon reason for wanting to possibly put this sword on Furina is because of the name of the weapon’s skill: Justice. It’s called Justice and she’s the God of Justice, I’ve got no excuse otherwise lmao. But uh, yeah I guess the Increases DMG dealt by Normal and Charged Attacks by 20%. Additionally, regenerates 60% of ATK as HP when Normal and Charged Attacks score a CRIT Hit. This effect can occur once every 5s. is pretty nice for Furina too.

Another option I’m looking at is Finale of the Deep, one of the upcoming Fontaine forgeable weapons. The name of the skill? No idea yet, but the skill itself is When using an Elemental Skill, ATK will be increased by 12% for 12s, and a Bond of Life worth 25% of Max HP will be granted. This effect can be triggered once every 10s. When the Bond of Life is cleared, a maximum of 150 ATK will be gained based on 2.4% of the Bond for 12s. Bond of Life: Absorbs healing for the character based on its base value, and clears after healing equal to this value is obtained. Which I think is fairly decent for Furina and it’d be fun to experiment with how the Bond of Life works using one of my healers.

The only thing really turning me off from it is the fact that we have to farm hand guards to level them up and any seasoned player by now knows how stingy the fucking Nobushi are with their drops.

My plan 3 sword that I’m considering is the Primordial Jade Cutter, one of the few 5* swords I already own which I got from fucking around on the standard banner. Protector's Virtue grants HP increased by 20%. Additionally, provides an ATK Bonus based on 1.2% of the wielder's Max HP. Something that will definitely be useful for Furina considering what her kit will look like based on what we’re seeing with Hydro Traveler and with how important HP is to Hydro as an element overall. 

So glad Hydro’s Elemental Resonance changed because before 3.0, Soothing Water was just a Healing Bonus (and resistance against Pyro)... when Barbara and Kokomi were the only 2 healers for the element. (And I guess Xingqiu on a lesser scale with one of his passives) =.= Thank you 3.0 for that change, you will always be famous.

And finally, her signature sword that we have no idea what it can do but I do know it looks great on her so I’m considering getting it (at some point). The blues are absolutely magnificent, only the best for the color that has been my favorite since I was a toddler. But regardless of the skill it will have, it will obviously be something that benefits Furina as her signature so whatever it is I will consider when making my pulls.

Team comp-wise, I definitely want her paired with a healer. Kokomi is one of my best girls and definitely my best healer, has been since 2.1 so it’s always first instinct to put her on a team but I do want to give my other healers a shot to get to max friendship.

So I’ve got two comps in mind. For a Bloom comp:

And for a Hyperbloom comp:

Shinobu

Candace

Collei

I might even try putting her in a comp with Nilou whenever I get her on her next rerun. But a special 3-person team comp I’d like to do is just putting Ei, Nahida and Furina on a team and seeing what they can do together.

And that summarizes just about my current progress/where I’m at in terms of team comp ideas for the Fontaine characters I’ll be first-gen using. Sorry everyone else that interests me, you’ll have to be grabbed by chance of being a 4* on the banners I’m rolling on or during a rerun. I want to get Lyney and Freminet at some point since it will complete the sibling trio and the Trevail duo.

Wriothesley is going onto standard (may he not get the Dehya treatment) so I will see him... at some point. See you eventually, Jotaro/Erwin.

Neuvillette is pretty and going to be a male Hydro catalyst unless something changes and his lore potential makes me want to pull for him. Bro might be actually be the Hydro Dragon?? It makes me sad because I wanted that to be Kokomi but if he is, I hope his lore is pretty damn good. We’ll see how I feel after his story quest. Ayato’s story quest being boring, in my subjective opinion, made me not pull for him the first time with no regrets. I ended up getting him later on his rerun for a sibling comp though.

I MIGHT eventually grab Charlotte since she is supposed to our first Cryo catalyst and I’m plenty interested in The Steambird.

Navia is pretty but I don’t use Geo often (nor do I use Pyro often, so LOL for Lyney I guess) so IDK if I’ll be getting her.

And we will have to see about everyone else. Hope the grind is going great for everybody else, may we win all of our 50/50s.

Anyways, more silly questions of mine! Would you rather have all your characters be C6 but have none of their signature weapons, or have all of your weapons be R5 but never get the cons you want?

broadly, i don’t pull for sig weapons anyway (though i am often very very tempted for aesthetic reasons), so having easy c6s would be preferred! c6s improve so much of their kits—my kuki reached c6 recently and it’s a literal lifesaver—compared to the boost from weapons, and yeah i only have three five star weapons but me and The Gang are doing very well as they are!

side note, i leveled my wrio recently and his normal attacks are insane. in terms of raw damage my heizou still takes it for his skill (like 80k or something last i checked?) but getting 11k combos is still so satisfying, especially when i know he can be improved upon still!

(if you’re like. a wrio main wondering why that’s low, it’s because i have terrible luck with artifacts. we make do and then Forget To Ever Improve Again)

Din and Grogu walked back from the shipyard toward their temporary lodging. It had hurt more than Din thought it would to leave Tala and Neeli alone on the Krayt. He told himself it was no different than saying goodnight at Tala’s door, but that was her home. Now he was leaving them on a sterile freighter.

“Maybe we should stay on the ship and let them have the apartment,” he said.

Grogu shook his head. “Na,” he said.

“Why not? It would give us the same amount of privacy and probably be more comfortable for her.”

Grogu shook his head again. “Nee. Kray. Ya.”

Din interpreted that to mean that Neeli preferred the Krayt. “You’re probably right. I’m sure Neeli is a little scared being someplace new.”

“Ya,” Grogu said firmly.

“So, what should we have for dinner?”

Grogu watched Din’s face carefully as they ate their meal. It was still a bit disconcerting to know that he was being observed, especially while doing something as private as chewing, but the kid wasn’t staring or anything, just looking. He still stopped and touched Din’s face now and then, as if to reassure himself that the helmet was really gone.

“You like the stew? It’s not too spicy for you?”

Grogu nodded enthusiastically and shoved another spoonful into his mouth. It was simple freeze-dried, reconstituted food but at least it was Mandalorian rations and not the bland mass produced stuff that was more commonly available.

When they were done, Din cleaned Grogu’s face and sat him on the bed while he removed and cleaned his armor. When he was done, he helped Grogu remove his own mail shirt and rondel and together they polished the tiny beskar.

“Always tend to your armor before you set it aside,” Din said. “Your armor and your weapons are your protection. You have to treat them with respect so they can protect you.”

Grogu nodded sleepily. A full belly and the armor cleaning routine always settled him down for bedtime. Soon they were tucked under the blankets and Grogu was snoring away. Din stared into the darkness, wondering how Tala was doing on the ship. Was she nervous, sleeping alone in strange surroundings? Was the ship making that weird ticking sound as the metal adjusted to the gravity and warmer temperatures on a planet? Was the air fresh enough?

He sat up. Grogu stirred a bit but kept sleeping. Din slid out from under the covers and picked up the comm link on the bedside table. He stepped to the far side of the room before thumbing it on.

The comm link flashed green. Tala picked it up, her heart speeding up a little. “Is everything okay?”

“Um, yes,” came Din’s voice. “I mean … that’s what I was going to ask you. I just wanted to check in before you go to sleep.”

“Everything is fine here,” she replied. Neeli was sprawled on her back. “I fed Neeli and she’s sound asleep.”

“So is Grogu,” Din said with a slight chuckle. “I just … I couldn’t sleep without knowing that you’re okay.”

“That’s very sweet, Din, but I’m fine. I set the proximity alarm like you showed me and R5 is stationed near the hatch just in case. Neeli and I are perfectly safe.”

“I know you’re safe, I just .. I hope you’re comfortable. A bunk on a ship isn’t the finest accommodation.”

“It’s perfectly fine. Neeli knows this place, so she’s relaxed, and that makes me relaxed. And I know that you have your helmet off, since you’re alone with Grogu, and that makes me relaxed, too.” She’d felt guilty on the way there, knowing that because of her presence, Din was sleeping in his helmet. “You know, I think this is the first time we’ve spoken without the vo-coder masking your voice.”

She heard Din clear his throat. “Um, that’s true,” he said after a moment. “I … hope you like the way I sound without it.”

“I do,” she said. His voice was softer without the mechanical intervention, more rounded and organic sounding. “I like it a lot.”

“Um, well, I should let you get some sleep,” he said, flustered. “We’ll see you in the morning. Big day for you and Grogu.”

“Yeah, we should all get some rest. Good night, Din.”

“Good night, Tala.”

The connection closed with a soft chime and she replaced the comm link on the shelf beside the bunk. In the morning, she and Grogu were meeting with Bo-Katan and the Armorer, who both had some questions for the kid. She slid under the covers, careful not to disturb Neeli too much, and flicked off the overhead light. The calm blue hazard lights in the floor kept the darkness at bay.

The Armorer was much more intimidating than Bo-Katan Kryze. For one thing, she kept her helmet on, and it was a fearsome thing with two horns jutting from the top. She also wore a furred cape over her armor and there was a gravitas about her that inspired deference. Tala could see why Din respected her so deeply.

“Din Grogu,” the Armorer said slowly. “You are come here before us to answer some questions in preparation for your training as a Mandalorian warrior. Do you understand?”

“Ya,” Grogu said firmly.

The Armorer tilted her head slightly. “Your vocal skill has advanced since I saw you last.”

Grogu looked at Tala. :Tell her I try really hard:

“He wants you to know that he’s been working very hard on it,” she said.

The Armorer nodded. “All we can ask is that you do your best, youngling.”

Bo-Katan cleared her throat. “We will both ask you questions, Grogu. Please answer them as best you can. Tala can translate for us.”

Tala raised her hand. “Before we begin, may I ask something?”

The Armorer nodded. “I’ve noticed that both of you have addressed Grogu as ‘Din Grogu’. I’m curious about that.”

“Taking the name of one’s mentor while under apprenticeship is a time honored Mandalorian tradition,” the Armorer said. “It shows that the apprentice is under the care of the mentor, even if they are not of the same clan. When Din Grogu has completed his training and is ready to swear the Creed, he will no longer use the name. Now, shall we begin?”

Grogu did his best to answer the questions the women posed to him. Did he understand what was expected of him as a Mandalorian apprentice? Did he willingly choose to learn the Way of the Mand’alor? Did he know the pillars of the Creed? What was Din teaching him? What weapons was he learning the use of?

Sometimes, Grogu didn’t have the words, so he sent Tala an image and she did her best to put his feelings and memories into words. Finally, the Armorer seemed satisfied and ended the interrogation. “Do you have any questions for us, Din Grogu?”

His ears pricked up. Tala listened very carefully to what he said and replied to the Armorer. “He wants to know why the big monster in the lake doesn’t want to wake up.”

Bo-Katan went stiff. No one knew about her sighting of the Mythosaur in the Living Waters except the Armorer. She hadn’t even told Din anything about it. “The what?”

“The monster that lives in the lake,” Tala repeated. “He says it’s there but it won’t talk to him. It’s supposed to be awake.”

“Din Grogu, tell us more about this creature,” the Armorer said. “What do you sense from it?”

“It sleeps in the water. It’s cold down there. It was all alone but Dad fell in and Bo woke it up. It’s grumpy. I tried to talk to it but it ignores me. It doesn’t want to leave the dark,” Tala translated. She closed her eyes. “He’s sending me a picture, but it’s not very clear. He’s never seen it but he feels it. It’s big, reptilian … there’s a consciousness there that’s more than just animal but not quite sentient.”

“The Mythosaur,” Bo-Katan breathed.

“Ya!” Grogu pointed at the Mythosaur banner hanging on the wall of the Armorer’s chamber. “Mif.”

“It waits for something,” the Armorer said. “It’s time has not yet come.” She focused her helmet on Bo-Katan, who felt a frisson of emotion run the length of her spine. “But it will be soon.”

“And Mandalore will be ready,” Bo-Katan replied. Tala was clearly confused, but Grogu had a satisfied look on his face.

“This is the Way,” the Armorer said.

“This is the Way,” said Bo-Katan.

“I won’t even begin to ask what that was all about,” Tala said as she and Grogu followed Bo-Katan away from the forge.

“Good, because I’m not really sure myself,” Bo-Katan said. “I always thought the Mythosaur was simply a tale from ancient days, but … I’ve seen it myself, and now Grogu has confirmed my sighting. It means something for our people. Something big.”

“Does Din know about it?”

:No. Dad doesn’t know.:

“Should we tell him?”

Bo-Katan shrugged. “I’m not sure what he could do with the information. But if you don’t feel comfortable keeping something from him …” She sighed. “Look, it’s none of my business what’s going on between the two of you, but from a practical, political standpoint, it’s in my best interest that Din isn’t — involved — with any of the Mandalorian factions.”

“I thought Din’s clan was too small to be involved in politics,” Tala said carefully.

“It is a small clan, but it’s not aligned to any of the Houses,” Bo-Katan said. “And I’d like to keep it that way. Now, ideally, for me, Clan Djarin would align with House Kryze, but I can’t ask him to do that. That would put him in conflict with the Armorer, who is aligned with House Vizla. And the other Houses … let’s just say they’re still sorting themselves out as to who sides with whom.” She shook her head. “It’s a big mess. There are some who want to go back to the old ways, keep the helmets on all the time. And some who say the old ways didn’t work and we need a brand new path. Then there are all those who fall somewhere in the middle of the spectrum and I have to try to keep everyone moving in roughly the same direction. Din has sworn fealty to me, but he also follows the Old Way. He’s sort of balanced in the middle and I don’t want to ask him to choose sides.”

“And since I’m not Mandalorian, I don’t affect his loyalties,” Tala said.

“Exactly. Plus, I like you. I think you’re good for him. And the kid.”

Grogu nodded. :Good for us. And good for you. And Neeli.:

“So don’t kriff this up, Pavan,” Bo-Katan said jokingly. “The last thing I need is Din Djarin falling for some Mandalorian woman’s line about ‘breeding warriors for the glory of Mandalore.’” She shook her head again. “We’ve had three marriages in the last two months and at least four pregnancies announced. The younger women aren’t wasting time. I tried to caution them that we aren’t secure enough to lose fighters from our ranks at that rate, but ….” She trailed off.

“Children are good for a society,” Tala said. “They might help people look to the future instead of the past.”

“I know, but … things are changing rapidly and not everyone is prepared to keep up.”

“Not even you?”

Bo-Katan laughed. “Especially not me. Before I met Din and this little guy, I would have told you that the Children of the Watch were fanatics, a bunch of weirdos in a death cult. And that I deserved the Darksaber and the throne because of my bloodlines. Now … I know we’re all just doing the best we can, making the choices we think are best. And that no weapon, no symbol, can confer the mantle of leadership. Mandalorians are best when we work together, as one.”

“Democracy is messy and frustrating, but better than the alternatives,” Tala said.

“You aren’t going to make a speech about the virtues of the New Republic, are you? Because they’re just as screwed up as the Empire and the Old Republic and just about every other form of government I’ve encountered.” Bo-Katan made a face.

“No,” Tala said carefully. “I just … I saw what the Empire did. What blind allegiance does. And I value the idea of everyone making up their own mind about things.”

:Sad: Grogu laid his hand on her arm, his ears drooping a bit.

:Not sad. Just … remembering:

Tala looked into Grogu’s dark eyes and forced herself to smile. Yes, she was thinking about Rix. But she didn’t want to burden the child with such thoughts.

“There’s a story behind that, but I’m not sure if I’m the right person for you to tell it to,” Bo-Katan said. “Have you and Din had a serious talk about your relationship?”

“We’re taking it slow,” Tala said firmly. “I don’t want to rush him. Or myself.”

“There’s taking it slow and there’s dragging your feet,” Bo-Katan said. “Figure out which one you’re doing. Don’t string him along if you aren’t serious about this. I might not have the Darksaber anymore, but I have plenty of other weapons at my disposal. You don’t want me to have to kick your ass, do you?”

“No, I definitely don’t want that,” Tala said. “I promise I’ll talk to him when we get back to Nevarro.”

:Talking is good. But eating is better. Let’s find a snack:

“Grogu’s hungry.”

“I think he deserves something tasty after that interrogation,” Bo-Katan agreed. “I think the kaj berries are ready to harvest. Why don’t you head down to the hydro bays and find out?”

Din was sweating and tired, but it was a good thing. He hadn’t had a chance to spar with anyone this skilled in quite a long time. He’d become complacent.

“Nice comeback on that attack,” Axe Woves said, panting a little. The man wore his helmet for the match, but Din could still sense his fierce gaze. “Next time, time it a little faster and you’ll be able to disarm me instead of just deflecting the blow.”

Din nodded. “Of course, if you came at me like this …” He lunged and swiped with his staff. “I wouldn’t be able to counter you.”

Axe laughed as he took the blow. “You’re sneaky, I’ll give you that.” He straightened up and pulled off his helmet. “Time for a break. Here comes the boss.”

Din turned to see Bo-Katan striding across the sparring ring. She had her helmet tucked under her arm and a smile on her face. “It’s good to see you two working together,” she said as she approached.

“Mandalorians always work better together,” Axe said.

Bo-Katan shot him a look. “Mocking me won’t do you any good, especially when I’m right,” she said. “Din, your apprentice passed muster. I’m sure the Armorer will have a few suggestions for his training, but overall you’re on the right path. When he’s capable of reciting the Creed, he can get a helmet of his own. Although I don’t know how that’s going to work with those ears of his …”

“The Armorer will find a way,” Din said. He felt pride building inside him. He knew he was teaching Grogu the things he needed to know but getting verification that the child understood and could relay the information back was pleasing. Grogu was an exceptional being, and Din was proud to be his father.

“I’m sure she will,” Bo-Katan said. “Tala took him down to the hydro bays to look for fruit. I’m sure you can find them if you head that way.”

“I should finish my session with Axe,” Din began, but Axe waved him off.

“I think we’ve done enough for the moment. Go tell your kid you’re proud of him.”

Din bowed to the other man. “Thank you for the sparring session. I have learned much today.”

Axe bowed back. “This is the Way,” he said, with only a trace of scorn in his voice.

As Din walked away, Bo-Katan signaled him closer. “I like her,” she said quietly. “A lot. Don’t let anyone tell you you shouldn’t be with her because she’s not Mandalorian.”

“I won’t,” Din said.

She clapped her hand on his arm. “Good. I’ll try to see you again before you head back to Nevarro, but if I can’t, safe journey.”

“Thank you, Lady Bo-Katan.”

She laughed. “You’re welcome, Mister Djarin.”

Din headed for the lower area of the caves where the hydro bays were located. They had been tucked into pockets here and there, some with entirely artificial lighting and others with access to natural skylights that let in precious sunlight when the clouds thinned. It was smart to place the means of food production deep within the settlement. If there was ever a siege, the people would not starve quickly.

He found Tala and Grogu in the third bay he entered. Grogu was cramming bright purple kaj berries into his mouth, his face smeared with juice.

“I’m not sure that’s your color,” Din said.

“Da!” Grogu dropped a berry and Force-jumped his way into Din’s arms, babbling away.

“He says he talked a long time with the Armorer and Bo-Katan,” Tala translated. “And now he’s having a reward. And he has something to tell you but not right now, because he’s still hungry.”

“Then eat away,” Din said, placing the child back on the ground. “There will be plenty of time to talk after your belly is full.”

Tala smiled. “He did work pretty hard today,” she said. “He was very careful answering their questions. I could tell he wanted to make sure they knew how much you’ve taught him.”

“He’s a good student,” Din said. “When he’s not distracted by food or toys.”

Tala slipped her hand through the crook of his arm and Din leaned into her slightly. “He’s still just a kid.” She squeezed his arm. “You’re warm. Were you sparring like you planned?”

“Yes, I had a good session with Axe Woves,” he said. “He challenges me.”

“Do you ever spar with Bo-Katan?”

“No,” Din said. “I haven’t had that pleasure yet. She is a formidable foe.”

“And a formidable ally. I like her.”

“She said the same about you,” Din said. “About liking you, not the ally part. Although she might agree with that as well.”

“She’s a wise person, in many ways,” Tala said. “She … gave me a bit of advice that I think I might use.” She leaned against him, laying her head against his shoulder.

Din felt his muscles stiffen and forced himself to relax. Tala was not a threat; he did not need to be on guard around her. Still, when things started getting — intimate — he found himself on high alert. The urge to touch her, to strip away his armor and feel her next to him was so strong. He knew that it would take a great deal of willpower to resist removing his helmet, brushing his lips against her skin, looking directly into her eyes … It was so very, very tempting. But he could not go against his Creed. Not until he was entirely sure, not unless she was part of his clan.

“I’m sure whatever her advice is, I will agree with it,” he said carefully. “Lady Bo-Katan is our leader for a reason.”

“This is the Way,” Tala said. Din’s heart fluttered at her words.

“This is the Way,” he replied.

Hello! Would you be willing to do the Red Rose Headcannons for Magna?

Alright, red roses for the one and only Magna Swing.

R1: Are they particularly a romantic person? What do they consider to the the ideal romantic gesture?

I’d like to think as Magna as the type who would try very hard to be a romantic person, but he’d suck at it because he’s never actually been in a serious relationship. As for romantic gestures, I think he’d just live quality time. He’d love to take his significant other on his cyclone and spend time alone together, he’d also appreciate if his significant other went through work just so they could spend more time together, he’d feel cared about, like his significant other won’t grow bored of him.

R2: How would they tell you they loved you? (For instance, would they use words--planned out in a speech or accidentally blurted out? Or would they prefer to show you they loved you through their actions?)

Alright, so Magna would totally overthink something like this, he’d try to make it as special as possible. He’d take his significant other to a place neither of them have been before, he’d have this entire speech written down, however before actually getting to read it, he accidentally blurted it out before either of them got there. It wouldn’t take him until halfway through to realize he already confessed earlier.

R3: What do they look for in a romantic relationship? What would make them feel the most loved and supported by a significant other?

I feel Magna would want someone who would support him through everything, someone he could really open up to about his worries that won’t judge him. He’d also like to get along well with them along with friendly banter. Someone always willing to try new things because not doing so isn’t manly. He’d feel loved if his lover did just that, support him no matter what, and spend quality time with him.

R4: How would they react to being in love? Would they want to keep it a secret--would they even be able to? Would they be awkward about it or take it all in stride?

When he realized he had feelings for this person, he swore it would be a super secret. He treated that secret like it was a weapon that could start a war, however he was horrible at hiding his feelings. Vanessa caught on and teased him about it. After a while he ended up telling Luck and Finral. It took lots of teasing (mostly from Luck) and convincing (from Finral and Vanessa) for him to finally confess.

R5: What is a love song that really suits them and why?

If I had to pick a love song to pick Magna, I think I’d go with ‘Meant to Be’ by Bebe Rexha. I don’t know, it think it just fits. It feels like the song is like, “Don’t worry about the future and live in the moment,” and that kinda reminds me of Magna. Also, Magna tries to make himself seem tough, but I feel he’s really sweet when it comes to it. Something about the language used in the song also reminds me of him if that makes any sense?

how to get a head start on getting good character builds || genshin tips for beginners

hello everyone! I recently posted a poll to see what type of content people wanted and tips for new players seemed pretty popular. So, here's a list of pointers + explanations for those of you who are new and are interested in dealing more damage or just getting a good start to the game character-wise. This guide will be most helpful if you are below AR45. Let's get started!

1 ・❥・ don't level every character

╰┈➤ It's very important to level your characters (and weapons!) to the maximum you can for your adventure rank. But if you level all of your characters up, you'll end up wasting a ton of time and resources. It's best to choose a handful of characters you like/strong characters to invest in. You can always level your characters later on but you can never get your resources back! Additionally, your playstyle preferences might change as time goes on so limiting how many characters you level will help prevent regrets.

In the early game, I would recommend levelling no more than 8 characters with a focus on supports, which transitions nicely into our next topic

2 ・❥・ supports are your friend

╰┈➤ 3 slots of most of your teams will be occupied by support characters. While DPS characters are often only viable in 1-2 teams, some supports are great in an upwards of 5 teams! Supports/off-fielders like Bennet, Nahida, Kazuha, Xingqiu, and Yelan can be used in tons of teams. By only investing in your DPS characters, you're neglecting the other 3 slots of your team and leaving characters who will very likely still be viable in the distant future in the dust! The name "support" might seem like just healers or shielders, but i'm also referring to off-field damage dealers like Xiangling.

2 ・❥・ characters to invest in

╰┈➤ even though it's perfectly fine to focus on levelling characters you like, there are a few very strong and versatile supports that you cant go wrong leveling. If you have them, Xingqiu, Bennet, Xiangling, Sucrose, and Fischl are always great options.

3 ・❥・talents and weapons are important too!

╰┈➤ levelling characters is fun, but if you neglect your talents and weapons, you'll end up dealing very low damage. I know this advice might seem very overwhelming so my biggest piece of advice to help with this is to take things one character at a time. If you aren't feeling motivated to log in or spend your resin, you can always quickly craft some condensed resin and save it for later

4 ・❥・best weapons for investment

╰┈➤ there are 3 weapons I would recommend everybody levels and R5's (2 of them are 3 stars and the other is a common 4 star weapon so it's not too difficult). These include:

thrilling tales of dragon slayers for a massive attack boost and an hp% substat that is useful for many supportive catalysts

harbringer of dawn for easy but high amounts crit rate and crit damage

favonius weapons for energy recharge and supplying energy to your whole team

5 ・❥・save your fragile resin!

╰┈➤ fragile resin is great if you need to get a few more drops in when you're out of resin. But, it's hard to come by. It's best to save your fragile resin until you have a higher world level and can use it on things with better drop rates than what you have right now

6 ・❥・don't farm artifacts until AR45

╰┈➤ ok I know this advice looks kinda boring but I can not recommend doing this enough. At AR45, you unlock the highest level of domain that guarantees a 5 star artifact every time. Before AR45, you can still get a few 4 star and 5 star pieces that will suffice. At earlier levels, there isn't really a need for lots of damage so it's best to use your resin on more important things like levelling characters, talents, and weapons.

ok first of all, not NEARLY AS BAD AS I EXPECTED

- i was clutching my chest like a grandma watching telenovelas during every fight scene

- R5 carried obviously as he should

- felt a little anticlimactic though? no reference to palpatine’s cloning? what the heck was that one coruscant episode leading up to? felt like moff gideon died way too easily this time especially after being THAT dramatic

- the darksaber???? after all that???? come on man. so does the armourer just lead by default then?

- no mention of satine all season? i feel like the underground garden was a perfect time like she would have loved that shit.

- do not get me wrong i am so happy no one perished but like? hollywood happy ending? again i much prefer that but it is not what was advertised. u know me i needed more angst

- DIN AND GROGU FATHER AND SON BACK ON THE ROAD IS SUCH A WIN AND THAT LITTLE NEVARRO HOUSE IS SO CUTE AND DIN SITTING ON THE PORCH LIKE A COUNTRY DAD DRINKING WHISKEY AND PLAYING GUITAR

- also can u imagine if din teams up with zeb i’ll scream cry like get him in with the ghost team, grogu and chopper would either try to kill each other or get along so well

anyway i’m relieved and sleepy so i’m going to dream about din and grogu and cyare chilling in that little place on nevarro it seems so peaceful, i will integrate it into UC ending (ps. plan is only 3 parts left)
