Filmmaker Quentin Jerome Tarantino (born March 27, 1963) - Watch this - Apocalypse EXPLAINED - READ the Synopsis - Transformers: Rise of the Beasts
This movie is a high-stakes sci-fi adventure that merges the worlds of Transformers with human characters. It kicks off with Unicron, a planet-consuming entity, attacking the Maximals’ homeworld. The Maximals, led by Optimus Primal, flee to Earth with a powerful Transwarp Key, pursued by Unicron’s heralds, the Terrorcons.
The story then shifts to Earth in 1994, focusing on Noah Diaz, who unwittingly encounters the Autobot Mirage disguised as a Porsche. Concurrently, museum intern Elena Wallace discovers the Transwarp Key hidden in an ancient statue. This discovery sets off a chain of events as the Autobots, led by Optimus Prime, and the Terrorcons arrive on Earth to retrieve the key.
The conflict escalates as battles ensue, leading to revelations about the key being split in two halves to prevent Unicron’s access. Elena and the Autobots embark on a mission to find the second half in Peru, facing the threat of Scourge corrupting their allies and attempting to unleash Unicron.
Noah, initially aiming to protect Earth by destroying the key, eventually allies with Optimus to prevent Unicron’s invasion. A massive battle unfolds between Autobots, Maximals, and the Terrorcons. Noah, aided by Bumblebee and using an exo-suit fashioned from Mirage’s damaged body, plays a crucial role in the conflict.
In a dramatic climax, Optimus sacrifices himself to stop Unicron, but Noah and Primal manage to save him and thwart Unicron’s plans, leaving the Autobots stranded on Earth. The conclusion sees the Autobots accepting Earth as their new home, Noah finding unexpected opportunities, and the promise of continued protection for Earth.
The mid-credits scene hints at Noah’s resourcefulness in repairing Mirage, showcasing his growing connection to the Autobots’ world.

Happy Birthday Quentin Tarantino!
On March 27, 1963, Quentin Jerome Tarantino was born in Knoxville, TN. I could easily write a ton about what a big influence he was on me (just look at my short film To Be John Woo), how much I have watched and re-watched all of his films, read his books, saw him in a play, and enjoy listening to his Video Archives podcast. But today I thought for his 60th birthday it’d be cool to look back at his very directorial debut - yes, he did this before Reservoir Dogs.
His earlier guerrilla-style indie effort My Best Friend’s Birthday was shot this with his friends on and off from 1985 to 1987 on black and white 16mm film. Some of the film was damaged in processing, so all that exists is 36 min. A few years ago, I was shopping at Kim’s Underground Video and came upon the bootleg to end all bootlegs: a DVD of early works like The Dirk Diggler Story from PTA, the original short of Bottle Rocket from Wes Anderson, and My Best Friend’s Birthday. There’s a lot of stuff in QT’s film that eventually found its way into True Romance and even Reservoir Dogs. While it’s not his best movie by any means, it is worth seeing to see how far he’s evolved since this and what he was capable of doing on a low budget. QT was on a podcast about two years ago and he said the greatest testament to him as a filmmaker or maybe as a human being was the fact that he didn’t give up or get discouraged after the setbacks and problems with this project that was never actually completed.
The link above is the film from YouTube.

This date in rock music history…
March 16th
2019 - Dick Dale
American rock guitarist Dick Dale died of heart failure at the age of 81. He was known as The 'King of the Surf Guitar'. He pioneered and created what many call the surf music style. Dale worked closely with Fender to produce custom made amplifiers, including the first-ever 100-watt guitar amplifier. His song 'Misirlou' featured over the opening credits to Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction.
2010 - Led Zeppelin
A rare Led Zeppelin recording from the group's 1971 gig at St Matthew's Baths Hall in Ipswich, England was unearthed at a car boot sale. The bootleg copy of the audio from the group's gig on November 16th 1971 was picked up for just 'two or three pounds' by music fan Vic Kemp who said 'I was going through a stand of CDs at the car boot at Portman Road and the guy who was selling them said, 'You might be interested in this. It must have been recorded by someone standing at the front with a microphone. You can hear Robert Plant talking to the audience quite clearly.'
1992 - Metallica
During a Metallica gig at Orlando Arena fans dangled an usher by his ankles from the balcony as trouble broke out at the concert. The band were charged $38,000 (£22,353) for repairs and cleaning after the audience trashed the building.
1972 - John Lennon
John Lennon lodged an appeal with the US immigration office in New York, after he was served with deportation orders arising from his 1968 cannabis possession conviction.
1971 - Simon and Garfunkel
Winners at this years Grammy Awards included, Simon and Garfunkel who won Record of the year, Song of the year and Album of the year for Bridge Over Troubled Water. The Carpenters won Best new act and Best vocal performance for 'Close To You'.
1968 - Otis Redding
The posthumously released Otis Redding single '(Sittin' On) The Dock Of The Bay' started a five week run at No.1 on the US chart, (a No.3 hit the UK). Otis was killed in a plane crash on 10th December 1967 three days after recording the song. 'Sittin' On The Dock Of The Bay', became the first posthumous No.1 single in US chart history and sold over four million copies worldwide.
1965 - The Rolling Stones
The Rolling Stones were at No.1 on the UK singles chart with 'The Last Time', the bands third UK No.1 and first No.1 for songwriters Mick Jagger and Keith Richards.
1964 - The Beatles
The Beatles set a new record for advance sales in the US with 2,100,000 copies of their latest single 'Can't Buy Me Love.' When pressed by American journalists in 1966 to reveal the song's 'true' meaning, Paul McCartney stated 'I think you can put any interpretation you want on anything, but when someone suggests that 'Can't Buy Me Love' is about a prostitute, I draw the line'.
1959 - The Platters
Doo-wop group The Platters scored their only UK No.1 hit with 'Smoke Gets In Your Eyes' (also a US No.1 hit). The song was a show tune written by American composer Jerome Kern and lyricist Otto Harbach for their 1933 musical Roberta. Paul Whiteman had the first hit recording of the song in 1934.

Quentin Tarantino

Alors qu’il vient de présenter Once Upon a Time in…

Quentin Jerome Tarantino was born on March 27, 1963. He is an American film director, screenwriter, producer, and actor. His films are characterized by nonlinear storylines, dark humor, aestheticization of violence, extended scenes of dialogue, ensemble casts, references to popular culture and a wide variety of other films, eclectic soundtracks primarily containing songs and score pieces from the 1960s to the 1980s, alternate history, and features of neo-noir film.
Born in Knoxville, Tennessee, Tarantino grew up in Los Angeles. He began his career as an independent filmmaker with the release of Reservoir Dogs in 1992, a crime thriller film which was funded by money from the sale of his screenplay True Romance (1993). Empire magazine hailed Reservoir Dogs as the "Greatest Independent Film of All Time". His second film, Pulp Fiction (1994), a crime comedy, was a major success among critics and audiences and won him numerous awards, including the Palme d'Or and the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay. He wrote the screenplay for the horror comedy film From Dusk till Dawn (1996), in which he also starred. Tarantino paid homage to the blaxploitation films of the 1970s with Jackie Brown (1997), an adaptation of Elmore Leonard's novel Rum Punch.
In 2003, Tarantino delivered Kill Bill: Volume 1, a stylized "revenge flick" in the cinematic traditions of kung fu films and Japanese martial arts; Volume 2 followed in 2004. Tarantino next directed the exploitation slasher film Death Proof (2007), part of a double feature with Robert Rodriguez released in the tradition of 1970s grindhouse cinema, under the collective title Grindhouse. His long-postponed Inglourious Basterds (2009) tells an alternate history of Allied forces in Nazi-occupied France, and was released to favorable reviews; it was followed by Django Unchained (2012), a Spaghetti Western set in the Antebellum South, to further critical favor, winning him his second Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay. His eighth film, The Hateful Eight (2015), was a long-form Western initially screened in a 70 mm roadshow theatrical release. His ninth film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019), recounts an alternate history of events surrounding the Tate–LaBianca murders.
Tarantino's films have garnered both critical and commercial success as well as a dedicated cult-following. He has received many industry awards, including two Academy Awards, two BAFTA Awards, four Golden Globe Awards, and the Palme d'Or, and has been nominated for an Emmy and five Grammys. In 2005, he was included on the annual Time 100 list of the most influential people in the world. Filmmaker and historian Peter Bogdanovich has called him "the single most influential director of his generation". In December 2015, Tarantino received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his contributions to the film industry.
