I see that the warriors wikia started adding more exact ages for the cats and I was curious about the exact age difference between Quailfeather and his kits and.

They have an age difference of 9 moons.

And if the average cat pregnancy is anywhere between 60-70 days, or two moons, this means that the kits' conception had to have happened when Quailfeather was only a moon into his apprenticeship 🫨

This has been bugging me for so long! I did make a post about it a while ago.

I personally have a theory that since Harrybrook and Quailfeather were added as fathers on the family tree on the same day, their mates got mixed up. So I believe it was the original intention for Harrybrook to father Turtle and Kite, and for Quailfeather to father Ridge and Dusk. Also there’s some evidence for this, a while back before the family tree was updated, Kate said that in her notes she had Harrybrook listed as Turtle and Kite’s father.

I personally have no idea as to why they would make Quailfeather father Turtle and Kite if it wasn’t a mistake.

While I’ve been thinking about it I have shot the website team an email asking about the whole situation and my question of whether there could have been a mix up. I’ll let you know if they ever get back to me lol
