This post is not wholly comprehensive and is intended as an overview, links provided lead to further details. Dates are in accordance with China Standard Time, the organization is chronological. 08-13 → Second anniversary of 813.

→ Fox Factory posted a bonus clip from their interview with Gong Jun. [subbed video]

08-14 → Hogan posted four photos from their Qixi commercial featuring Gong Jun that was released the previous week. (1129 kadian)

08-15 → The clothing brand GXG posted then quickly deleted a photo ad of Gong Jun, announcing a livestream for 08-29 at 16:40 (kadian!). It's assumed that this was a mistake, as no endorsement with them has been publicly announced yet.

08-16 → The Instagram posted six photos of "Zhang Zhehan" in his native habitat (airports).

→ HZ Baobao, one of the scam's million brands (the one with the ugly leopard mascot), posted an ad announcing sunglasses made in partnership with Zeiss, a high end lens company. Within a few hours, Zeiss responded to a post on Weibo made by a Zhang Zhehan anti, denying involvement and saying they would be taking action against the unauthorized use of their name. HZ Baobao hid the listing for the glasses shortly after, then reposted it with the references to Zeiss removed. Whalers proceeded to harass Zeiss on social media.

→ Gong Jun allegedly sued 100 antis including 34 whalers, with one of the whalers having made posts insinuating that Gong Jun had involvement in 813. The lawsuits are unconfirmed at the time of this post.

08-17 → Gong Jun posted a commercial he did for Hogan. (1129 kadian) This was reposted by Hogan.

→ Hogan posted four photo ads featuring Gong Jun. (1129 kadian)

→ Gong Jun's studio posted six behind the scenes photos of him from the Hogan shoot. Caption: "Seasons go by, and inspiration is throbbing. @ Gong Jun Simon moves with his heart, releasing the free and easy autumn."

→ Gong Jun's studio posted a douyin of behind the scenes footage from the Hogan shoot. Caption: "Ready for... @ Gong Jun Simon autumn!" BGM is Why Mona's cover of Wannabe.

→ QuelleVous posted a Twitter thread about Yajing (a livestream host who worked with Zhang Zhehan and Gong Jun a number of times in 2021), explaining connections she has to Songcheng and the scam. In July 2022, Yajing posted a photo of herself wearing slippers from the EHz.Z brand only to delete it shortly afterwards when fans mass-unfollowed her, later telling marketing accounts that she was attacked by Gong Jun's fans. QuelleVous' findings suggest that Yajing was involved with the scam early on but likely backed out because of this. Follow ups: [1] [2]

08-18 → Flora began translating an article about money laundering in the Hong Kong entertainment industry. On a similar note, a family from Mainland China were arrested this week for involvement a billion dollar money laundering scam. If you want to know why all of this is relevant, refer to the roughly twenty companies registered by the scam gang within the last year.

→ The Instagram posted eight photos of "Zhang Zhehan".

→ Gong Jun posted nine scenery photos. Caption: "Chasing the sky. ☁️" (in English) He also posted ten photos to his Instagram with the same caption, including four that were not included in the Weibo post. The photographer Sheng Sheng left a comment on the Weibo post complimenting his photography, which he replied to, and his studio reposted the post with the added caption: "The handsome photographer awakening the Chinese bloodline @ Gong Jun Simon is on the line" Fan Observations: - The Instagram post was made at 14:43, the same time that Gong Jun made a post on that date in 2020. The date was the anniversary of the BAZAAR joint photoshoot; it is not known if the time has a specific significance. - One of the photos (below) is of a streetlight at sunrise, recalling the line from Zhang Zhehan's unreleased song Running To Meet You, "hurry to see you before the streetlights go out." 🥺

In 2021 Qixi festival XZ chose to wear rainbow watch or he recommended the rainbow watch to wear? That point I can’t understand, can you explain it a little?

Both. There is a post linked from there that explains it. He was asked to choose three watches to represent romance, and of the three he chose one of them was a rainbow watch. In the ad he is wearing it and thinking about DD looking very fond.

The setting sun covered the cobblestoned path in a faint sheen of gold. Evan and I were taking a stroll along the old street, basking in the relaxing atmosphere of the evening.

MC: The lantern festival is about to begin.

I secretly planned to give Evan a small surprise, sneakily reaching a hand into my bag in search of a certain something while reaching another out to tug at his hand… Only to grasp nothing but air.

MC: ...Evan?

My heart plummeted. I hurriedly whipped my head around, trying to find him; to spot his silhouette within the crowd.

The lantern lights overhead consecutively lit up in sequence just as I turned around. Near and far, like a sea of brilliant stars; illuminating the long street as if it were no different from the day, opening the curtains of the lantern festival.

I was completely enthralled by the display, only snapping back to reality when a familiar warmth fell upon my shoulder. I unconsciously turned around, narrowly brushing across his cheek. The warm yellow halo cast from the lights gently illuminated his features.

Evan: Don't worry. I told you that I'd be with you, which means I'll always be by your side.

His gentle voice was like a magical balm, immediately soothing the sudden panic that had ensnared my heart into a speeding frenzy. I breathed a huge sigh of relief.

MC: Right…

Then, I remembered the gift that I’d prepared for him in advance. I’d originally wanted to give it to him the moment the lanterns lit up, but I’d accidentally missed that opportunity...

I turned around to face Evan seriously.

MC: Stick your hand out.

Evan seemed a little surprised by my request but nodded and complied, holding his hand out.

Evan: Okay.

I slowly unclenched my fist, dropping a purple perfumed sachet into his awaiting palm.

MC: Happy Chinese Valentine's.

MC: I wanted to surprise you at the start of the lantern festival, but I suppose now's not a bad time either.

The rich and full-bodied fragrance wafted from it, slowly spreading through the air.

Evan: Thank you for the present. Though… this scent is a little unique, isn't it?

MC: Looks like you’ve already noticed its unique point! Now guess what’s inside it!

Evan: With such a potent scent, I’d say it’s some sort of flower?

Evan: I’m not too knowledgeable about flowers, so this is about as far as I can get.

MC: It’s lilac.

MC: The main bloom is lilac, paired with a bit of resurrection lily. It’s my special invigorating summer sachet!

MC: It works best if you ever feel overwhelmed by work, or if you’re feeling all drowsy in the afternoon! A whiff is all it takes!

Evan: I thought it would be something along the lines of wormwood. I never expected it to be something so intense.

MC: Only because it’s a special occasion, so I thought I’d imbue it with a unique scent. I guarantee that it’ll definitely make a lasting impression!

MC: Actually… I’ve also added a special component to it. Want to try guessing?

Evan: Sure, but the scope is a little too big. Can you give me a hint or two?

MC: Just a small one. It comes from an old poem related to lilacs.

Evan: Let me guess… Cardamom?

MC: Bingo! You’re so spot-on!

The long winding street was lit up by rows of lanterns, embellishing the place with magnificent splendour under the night sky. We strolled in the crowd.

It was as if we could go on like this forever, eternal; always.

Addition to 07-30 I missed: A rumor was spread online originating from a supposed staff member of Back to Field that one of the guests used to be a sex worker (“duck”). This led to slander against Gong Jun, connecting it to slander previously spread by Sophie and co.. Back to Field did not post any official statement about this other than to say they were disappointed that people were more preoccupied by this than the show itself.

07-31 → A Twitter space was held reviewing old candy! [recording] [written notes]

08-01 → Gong Jun reposted a post by CCTV for the People’s Liberation Army’s 95th anniversary. Caption: “Thank you Chinese soldiers, thank you for your protection, salute!“

→ Gong Jun’s studio reposted the same post. Caption: “Loyal guard, fearless forward. Tribute to Chinese soldiers with boss @Gong Jun Simon!”

→ BEAST made a post on WeChat for their Qixi product line. In it, they included “Remembering that we couldn't spend the previous Qixi together as we were at different places I even secretly childishly cried, and was angry at him. He promised that he'll give me a surprise next Qixi." [quoted translation] Later in the post, there were also the lines “Love is separated by the mountains and seas / The mountains and seas can be flattened” Fan Observations:  -  Qixi 2021 was 08-14.  -  During the 05-04 concert livestream, Zhang Zhehan chose to show off a fanmade banner with the same phrase, saying it was related to his family.

→ The Supreme People’s Procuratorate posted an announcement about the anti-monopoly law that went into effect that day. One of their focuses was said to be Internet anti-monopoly litagation, with public prosecutors now allowed to launch civil antitrust lawsuits out of public interest. [summary translation]

→ The Instagram posted five pictures of “Zhang Zhehan” and “Zhang Mama” working out.

08-02 → #JunZhe trended on Twitter throughout the day.

→  #Gong Jun Fox Spirit Matchmaker white clothes# was on Weibo’s hotsearch after some very pretty behind the scenes photos leaked.

→ Gong Jun posted a promotional video for Marrsgreen to his Douyin. [subbed video]

→ Instagram-believers asked everyone to delete videos have have been going around of Zhang Zhehan working out and boxing from a unreleased Taobao vlog filmed last year. This was presumably so the videos wouldn’t be compared to the (starkly different) videos of Zhang Sanjian boxing. →  Four billboards of Gong Jun’s ad campaign with BEAST were installed at an airport.

08-04 (Qixi) → #LoveGongJun trended on Twitter, a hashtag made in direct response to the slander in the #JusticeforZhangZhehan tag. #JusticeforZhangZhehan continued to trend.

→ Kangshifu posted an audio clip featuring Gong Jun.

→ Gong Jun’s studio commented on the post of his schedule for this month with an update: Variety show filming on 08-10 to finish up Go Fighting!.

→ Gong Jun posted the Marrsgreen video to his personal Weibo, later reposted by Marrsgreen. Marrsgreen later also posted nine illustrated pfps and a photo ad featuring Gong Jun.

08-05 → #TheRealZhangZhehan trended on Twitter, #JusticeforZhangZhehan continued to trend.

→ CPFs donated over ¥87,000 to the Beijing Yangfan Public Welfare Foundation in the name of Gong Jun and Zhang Zhehan’s fans.

08-06 → Kangshifu made a post about a collaboration with Nivea that is running from 08-05 to 08-11. Nivea’s own post about it referred to someone as Maomao, a popular fan nickname for Zhang Zhehan; Nivea previously endorsed Zhang Zhehan prior to 813. It is not currently known if there is any significance to this.

→ Gong Jun liked a douyin about an old woman who runs a streetfood stall, in which she says her operating hours are from 5 to 11. The video’s caption includes, “Don't gossip about others, and be yourself and be happy.”

→ Addition made 08-09: The anti that Gong Jun filed a lawsuit against on 21-07-06 and settled with on 04-13 had his public apology posted in Legal Daily as agreed upon.

* Removing douban article - there is Douban article that said Web and GG had broken up and it was taken down + the user was deleted permanently. same thing, 3 articles about web and qmh were taken down but users were not deleted.

* Web was wearing a jacket by a brand called SEAN by sean which turns out to be his own clothes.

* Opal necklace - In the 4th of July Graduation episode of TTXS, he wore an Opal necklace, which is coincidentally, GG’s birthstone. Interpret it as you will. It could also be it was worn because it matches his blue top.

The lantern lights of the funfair gradually lit up in succession after the night descended. The small lights, connecting, formed a bright and dazzling galaxy.

A warm yellow halo of light wavered above our heads, almost as if a layer of tulle had blanketed our surroundings. It even made Osborn look much warmer than he usually is as he walked beside me.

The crowd at the lantern festival suddenly grew. Faced with the sudden onslaught of the crowd, my hand was suddenly ensnared by the iron-clad grip of another.

Osborn: Don't get lost, Little Miss Directionless.

MC: Not at the lantern festival, no!

Osborn prodded my puffed-up cheek, taking the chance to stuff a piece of malt candy that he'd just bought into my mouth.

The sweet taste spreads throughout my mouth, fusing with the scent of fireworks that were unique to the lantern festival.

Osborn: Okay. Then, I'll follow you since you know the place so well.

MC: Leave it to me! I'll give you a pleasant surprise!

Remembering the gift that I'd hidden inside my bag, I quickly pulled him towards a corner where there were fewer tourists.

Turning the corner, we left the hustle and bustle of the fair's lively crowd.

The only sounds surrounding us were the rustling of leaves and the fluttering of streamers in the wind.

Osborn: Not going to walk around anymore?

MC: Close your eyes and stick out your hand.

He obediently shuts his eyes but doesn’t seem to want to let go of my hand at all. Instead, he stuck his other hand out.

I could only try my hardest to fish out the sachet from my bag with one hand and place it into his waiting palm. No matter how light my action was, Osborn noticed it almost at once with his sharp senses. He immediately curled his fist back up, even grabbing my hand along with it.

He opens his eyes to look at me, his orbs brimming with mischief.

Osborn: Caught ya.

MC: ... Not me; I'm giving you a gift!

Osborn: I know. But I wanted to catch you too.

MC: So you don't want your gift anymore?

Osborn: Come on now, I didn't say that. I just thought that you made yourself into a present for me.

MC: That’s way too old-fashioned, plus I think it’ll be better to do something much more fitting for the occasion since it’s Chinese Valentine’s!

Osborn: Then let me have a good look at what this surprise present of yours is.

He let go of my hand to reveal a small satin sachet embroidered with exquisite patterns.

Osborn: A perfumed sachet? That’s certainly fitting. Did you make this?

MC: Of course! It’s easy enough to make a small one.

MC: I wouldn’t ever dream of giving it to my godly R1 Racer all so easily, even if it wasn’t handmade!

Osborn: Don't worry, I'll like anything you give me.

Osborn: But… Just where should I hang this?

Osborn took the sachet from me and spun a full circle, only to come up empty. He looked to be at such a loss as to what to do that it made me laugh at the rare sight.

Osborn: Is it really that funny?

Osborn: Nevermind, I give. You help me choose where to hang it.

MC: Hmm… Let me see...

I looked him up and down before finally deciding to simply hang it at his waist alongside his other accessories.

Amongst the glinting metals, the high-quality material of the sachet reflects a faintly warm glimmer. It stuck out like a sore thumb in his ensemble.

MC: Hmm, feels like it doesn’t suit your vibe all that well. Maybe I should change the material next time so that it attunes well to your image…

MC: How about you hang this up inside your car then? I mean, your car doesn’t have any ornaments or anything hanging around either.

Having said that, I reached out to untie the sachet. Unexpectedly, Osborn had caught my hand in the act, halting its movements.

Osborn: Who said it doesn’t suit me? I like it.

Osborn: I’ll just hang it here then. Then, I’ll swap it out once you gift me a new one.

MC: Okay, sure…

I could feel the warmth of his body, radiating from the palm holding onto mine; it was a heat hotter than this summer itself. And oddly enough, the sachet hanging on his waist had managed to assimilate itself to the image that Osborn portrayed. 

It was almost as if it’d finally found a place to belong within his ensemble of accessories.
