Its another one, based off of puss in boots the last wish. Mc is puss in boots, Eclipse is death (might change the design I got for them so far because so far I don't entirely like it), and Sun and Moon both replace kitty soft paws. Moon doesn't have claws, but Sun does. Probably will do a lore post of how Moon lost their claws.

Pondering the idea about what if it wasn't Death following Puss from the beginning of the movie, but Life? A figure usually seen as so gracious and merciful, whose wrath was greater than Death's ever could be? She saw this cat wasting his precious lives and went 'to hell with that'

In my idea for Rotg and associated lore of the Shrekverse, I have come to the conclusion that Puss in Boots would most likely be an immortal Legend/Fable-like entity.

Not a full Guardian, but rather much like Jack Frost, a beloved Legend. A story children are told from before they can even remember.

Jack: (*notices a cat watching him. not uncommon since cats can often see Spirits*) Jack, floats over: "Hey, little guy! Why are you wearing shoes?" Puss, dressed warmly: "I should ask why you are not, amigo." Jack: (*first time meeting a talking cat*) :O!!

Puss and Kitty are a duo as ever. An orange male cat can only be so smart after all (Puss might just be the origin of that stereotype). Kitty Softpaws is the original "cat burglar". She has stolen many many many artefacts from the other Legends including; North's Naughty List, The Thousand Leagues Boots (anniversary gift for her mate),

Perrito is there too. He's not a Legend. Death just likes having him around. Also he might be a protective spirit in his own right - ghostly therapy dog. North wants him to be a Guardian asap. The little dog has been trying to convince Jack to receive therapeutic help for last century or two.

Jack adores the animal legends as close friends. Jack and Puss have caused enough havoc for both Bunnymund and Death combined that the Life and Death entities have agreed to a truce on the pair.

Death himself may have begun life as a mortal creature. He does not care to recall. He is a reaper now. That is all he chooses to be seen as.

(The loyal war hound of General Kozmotis Pitchiner waited eons for his master to return from his mission, only to come to wish that the man had died all those centuries ago. The forgotten pet becoming the first ever creature brave enough to strike Fear into the heart of the Nightmare King himself.)

So yall know I don't usually do fanart. But I've been kind of generous lately with both the wizardmon thing and now this. Consider this my thank you for tumblr existing.

This entire website is practically my safe space my god. He was very fun to draw and because I struggled to find ANY content of you thirsty mf's not drawing him with at least the coat off I did it (hopefully) first to see if I could even do that right when drawing characters from movies/fandoms/shows lol. And if there was an au for this top left image it would be called either "broken wishes/promises" or "fallen shards/glass." Those sound pretty neat I think :)

Ps. His eyes weren't supposed to look purple but the layer messed with the color so eh.

Life AU Drabble time:)

"You!"

The wolf chuckled, her cloak swaying behind her, revealing a glimpse of one of her wooden sticks clutched tightly in her paw. "That's right." Her voice cut through the cave, clear and bright like a flute. "Me."

"H-how did you find me here?" Puss knew he had to keep her talking as he scanned the cave for an exit. It was empty except for the two of them, but there was still no other passageway to be found.

"Oh Puss." She laughed again. The sound could've been beautiful if it wasn't filled with such a cold fury. "Don't think I ever lost you for a second, gatito. I'm always there, whether you notice me or not."

Puss tried to hide the tremble in his voice. "If you're always nearby, how come I'm not dead yet?"

She started pacing the length of the cave. Puss had to scramble to stay out of her way, but she either didn't notice or didn't care. "You know, I don't really deal with death very often. It's not really my thing. But you, Puss—" she whipped out one of her sticks, it's end pointed straight at Puss "—you provide an unusual exception."

Puss had always assumed the wolf had something to do with death, the way she hunted him down with lethal accuracy. But...if she wasn't Death, what could she be?

Puss scrambled back in fear, tripping over the rocky ground of the cave, eyes wide in realization. He was lucky the map was magic, otherwise he would've punctured it with his sharp claws. "W-wait. You are—"

"Life." A crystal spire sprung up from the ground between them, blocking life from Puss's path but illuminating her face. Her image split between hundreds of purple shards, and in the middle of each was one of her pure white eyes. And they were all staring directly at him.

"So-so why are you trying to kill me then?" Puss stammered, scrambling away from Life as she took a step closer to him, her wings flared out behind her, casting tall shadows over the already darkened ground.

She laughed, bringing her two, twin sticks next to each other. She gave them a swing, and they blurred together until in her hand sat a long, wooden staff. "You know, I do love cats. They are the only creatures I've blessed with nine lives. So, tell me Puss—" another crystal sprung up besides her, this one showcasing his third death. He could recognize it anywhere by his gaudy green cape, and the intoxicated hiccuping his other self made. "—how come you took all of my gifts, and wasted them?"

She flung her hand out, eight more crystals encircling them, trapping Puss inside with Life. He looked around at the other versions of him, watching each of his foolish deaths. "Look at you. Do you know how many people would kill to have the gift I've given you? Do you have no respect for them?" Crystals shot up around her in her anger, one nearly spearing Puss. He had to jump out of the way to avoid it.

"But Life, I-I've changed! I won't waste my last one, I promise."

"You do?" She laughed again. "And how can I trust your word, gatito?" Puss's mouth opened and closed, but he couldn't form any words. He felt frozen, despite the burning heat that radiates off of her. She tsked. "People fear Death, and for good reason. I let them cling to my hand as I shoo my brother away for a little longer. But do you know why people don't fear Life nearly as much?" She struck the ground with the staff, sending cracks snaking their way up the crystals, shattering them. "I don't give people much to fear, Puss, but when I do, it's enough to send them crying to Death to go save them."

She lunged for Puss, her eyes blazing fiercely as she swung at him. Each mighty beat of her wings sent a gust of wind shooting towards Puss, knocking him off his feet. Puss managed to dodge out of the way as her staff's tip came swinging towards his chest, but it wasn't until after that he realized he was not her target this time.

The map flew out of his hands and up into the air, where another burst of Life's wind pushed it out of his reach. He chased after it as it flew towards the air, painfully aware of Life as she ran after him, her heat scorching the hair off Puss's back. It took all his willpower to not get distracted by the awful smell.

The stick collided with his back, and a burning pain spread through his body, so hot it was nearly ice cold. But the strike pushed him forward, and he managed to grab the map. He tried landing triumphantly, but the hill just outside the cave didn't allow for that, and he fell. He had just enough time to tuck his chin in before he rumbled down the hill, map clutched tightly to his chest.

He heard voices shouting for him behind him, ones that were warm and sounded like home, but he couldn't focus on them. Not with the ringing in his ears, or the haunting voice echoing from the cave's exit.

"Run."

idk how this cooked in my head but i can’t get it out after rewatching the movie

so obviously the others would be in this- i’ll get there don’t worry let me cook

tengen would obviously be a bit of a cocky bastard because he’s never been caught or killed, being the successful pirate he is, he considers himself almost untouchable. but he’s avoided death too many times— he was supposed to be dead ages ago. and then giyuu comes in.

giyuu was of course pissed off and agitated that some albino lil pirate bitch kept avoiding his clutches, so he decided to take him himself

then this scene is probably gonna be the first scene of this au, just them meeting in a bar

and the sizes would, of course, be swapped. tengens a big guy who is currently sitting next to the embodiment of death and the purge of the sea and doesn’t suspect a thing— because no way he’s taller than death! he’s not looking up at death, he’s looking down

just like he has been for his whole life

giyuu didn’t say anything (typical) and simply drank with him until tengen got a bit suspicious and felt uneasy about him. giyuu then pulled the same thing death did and told tengen “i’m a big fan- could you sign this for me?”

then pulls out the “wanted- dead or alive” thing and points to dead. then the whole fight scene happens, but it’s a bit different. tengen did land a hit on giyuu, successfully cutting giyuu in half at the stomach. but nothing happened. giyuu just simply put himself back together and acted like nothing happened, he simply said “you do live up to the legends.”

of course, tengen was confused and a bit worried now, giyuu didn’t care, he had an objective and he would complete it

the famous scene of puss actually getting touched by a blade would be blue, a bright yet dark blue— like the seas tengen rules, he just didn’t know that they’d be ruled by someone else (giyuu). also another overall headcanon for giyuu is that he’s a scary guy when he really wants to be

as for the others, i do have some ideas for them

these two are giyuu’s angel and devil on his shoulders, throughout the au, these two are helping giyuu with his decisions and even with fights! they’re like giyuu’s lil summons

i had to add genya my beloved

but yes, giyuu’s lil hell hound babygi— i mean super tough and cool is sanemi ft. two other lil hounds. genya just came along because sanemi made him(he couldn’t find a babysitter). but genya is very determined to impress his big brother.

instead of death being alone i just thought it’d be cool to have a little team for death hehe

also just found out i have a limit of ten images so ima just let yall find the 2019 halloween pics for kny (can be found of pinterest and google!) sigh 😔

but yeah, the rest of the hashira are helping tengen! most of em at least. himejina, kyojuro and muichiro are spirits that are simply wondering around, kinda sorta avoiding being put in the underworld (giyuu is going insane because of that)

and shinobu is a witch! she’s a very talented (and scary) one at that, she’s more than willing to help(may or may not have questions for death about a certain sister of hers)

mitsuri and obanai come together DO NOT SEPARATE! mitsuri is a kitsune while obanai has a big old snake buddy (with kaburamaru) (long ass name for a snake) also obanai did NOT want to go.

the kamaboko squad id also here!! but they’re the comedic breaks for this au, god bless their souls for that

and yes, giyuu shall speak spanish in this too, cause why not
