#leia organa#dog#puppy#shiba inu#video#sound on#shiba scream#velociraptor#sin pin#she jump#puppy tantrum#that’s pippa’s big pen that’s like a fancy industrial outdoor cat pen my grandma bought and never used#so it’s like over six feet tall in the front and back and maybe like four feet on the sides?#it has more panels but it’s smaller right now to try to get Pippa not to pee in it as much#leia is in there because she and Pippa got into a fight over a toy so they both are in different kennels for time out and to cool down#this is also why I couldn’t crate train her because she’d do this from 12am to 6am straight#like ma’am I have neighbors I share walls with#last time she was in this pen she figured out how to use the latch after about 20 minutes#you can see how she can jump on my dining room table and destroy all my things with that vertical leap

Doing Big Boy shit.
#Yeah I've decided he's allowed to do big jumps now. Not too many times. But time to intro the spread and double and the wall#AAC does also have the broad jump but my club doesn't have one. I think only one venue in the area does. But it's also in CKC rally so#we'll be able to train on one at some point#Anyway I'm pleased with how effortless his jump looked on this. I have been worrying that he just isn't a great jumper but#I think it was a combo of puppy sillies and laziness that had him jumping bad. we've also done work on actual jumping skills so that helped#agility#arthur#video

I appreciate that you put thought into whether you can put enough time/resources into a new dog though. some people adopt pets with no plans for how they'll care for them but it's nice to see you taking it seriously. idk does that make sense. serious dog ownership

we did train every day last week i just did not remember to post about it. so we continue on this.
anyway shoutout to k'seil's friday:
40 min walk with hazard where she was largely problem-less
sat in car quietly for an hour while i worked with a client
then met the human half of the client with FOUR FEET ON THE GROUND U GO BABY
took her to work on the impression that she would be in the car for 2 hrs while i ran puppy play and nosework class, so ran her stupid in the field with a chuckit and some work on cues for 20 min
THEN one of the puppies cancelled so she subbed in and let a 17 week parson russell beat her up for 30 min
then my nosework students bullied me into running her as well
so she did 2 runs of 3 searches each, on birch--not first time on the odor but first time in that room, and because all of the students in that class are reasonably advanced, in a complicated search area as well, where i was demoing handling skills and so expressly not supporting her--and fucking nailed them all
and THEN she came home and passed the fuck out

#aaron ekblad#gustav forsling#florida panthers#2425#forsblad is so funny#“we have agreements in certain areas” (almost collides from a miscue)#ekky frantically telling benny to move up because he has his left covered#then both forsy and ekky going after mccann at the same time and almost bump into each other in the process#laughable really#do you also think about the way when ekky bumps into sasha he bowls over him like a puppy whos still getting used to their gangly limbs#while sasha does not budge at all because hes built like a freight train#also ekky is very puppy clumsy (re: that video of him falling over spences pads as he stretching during warmups)#but with forsy hes so careful not to actually initiate contact he breaks carefully#and even sticks a hand out to grab at his wrist to pull him away so he can chase after the puck#once again. very dog like.#anyways the dichotomy is very funny here#i must treat forsy like hes precious because he is vs “gotta take care of barky at all costs” (runs him over)#he is a puppy he can only contain his excitement for so long#sasha is the man that can handle ekkys big dog nature okay and forsy can too but precious#they both are to be clear ekky just shows it in different ways#you know what i think he just likes to roughhouse with finns ill be honest#insert mikksy bumpy ritual here#sorry crying at ekky treating forsy so gently but still trying to yank him out of the way like hes a princess in the middle of battle#tried to move the solidly built man like thats gonna work ekky 😭😭😭#need to know his thought process here lmao

Not much due to the warm weather but Luc and Sammy did so well.
It is so much fun to watch them.

We tried two different ways (hard to describe, I hope it is understandable, I am sorry).
1. Was that Sammy took the second hurdle (out) at the right side, jumping to Luc, into the tunnel.
2. Was that Luc called Sammy over the first hurdle to him, pushed him into an "out" at the second hurdle and told Sammy to walk away at the other side into the tunnel.
