i just come by to wish you a happy new year! (kinda late but it’s still january so it still counts 😌) i hope you have a great end of 2023 :))

also with a friend we were talking and we suddenly thought abt punzel!lucas/elu and we were wondering how these two lovebirds were doing and what would they be up to now, according to you 🤔👀 lowkey miss them now ngl sjdbdh (as well as the canon version of course)

I'm ok - I both can't believe it's gonna be the end of January and also can't believe it's still January 😂. Work has not stopped being insane since I took over this new position but I'm thankfully still loving it. And I'm especially loving living in a place where I am no longer dealing with -40 celcius through the winter 😅. I hope your holiday season and start of the new year has been going fabulously for you!

And 5 years? 5 YEARS?! How is that even possible omg 😭😭😭. That calls for a rewatch, I think. My babies 🥹. And the Maxel content yessss! I love you for linking posts thank you! One of my friends thankfully sends me things because I would end up missing them on social media otherwise. Honestly the joy their friendship brings me. 5 years and those boys are still tight. I love them so much. Also the fact that Rocco was looped into their little friend group and we have actual pics of Maxence with Rocco AND Axel? Truly... life has been good to us 😌😂.

And Punzel babies? Well, they're living their happy life together in their flat. Eliott definitely refers to Lucas as his husband even though - as Lucas insists - they're too young to get married. Eliott thinks that's nonsense because he's been waiting what amounts to their entire lives and obviously they're going to be together for life anyways. But for that same reason, he's not too fussed about it - official papers or not, they are married in his mind. They've definitely added to their little fam and have a cat in addition to their pup Pascale. The cat absolutely rules their home (as cats are known to do) and is the only one who can get Pascale to stop being mouthy (Huskies you know 😂). Lucas would definitely complain the cat doesn't like him and play up that they have some sort of nemesis relationship. Only Eliott has caught Lucas curled up asleep on the couch with the kitty on his chest wrapped up in his arms more than once. Eliott would be a little jealous about the fact that he's the one who dotes on the kitty but she still seems to be an utter suck for Lucas... only, he's the exact same way so he can't blame her 😌. Second to Lucas, her fave is Idriss. Because this cat has ✨taste✨. I'm trying to think what they would name their kitty... probably something Rapunzel adjacent because they're saps... but I don't have a name popping to mind just yet.

And of course there are the fun dynamics of their relationship that they will probably always be figuring out. Like Lucas realizing (and relishing) in the power he has over Eliott and the way he can make Eliott's brain short circuit in any variety of ways (like saying something incredibly explicit in the middle of much more innocent activities like cooking dinner). Then Eliott will remember he no longer holds his Punzel in the 'look but don't touch' category and things work out quite nicely for both of them 😌. Basically... they're living their best lives figuring out adulthood and now jobs together ❤️.

My first fic: My first-ever one was actually an RVD fic called Shattered Rose that I never finished, when white women were my OCs. I know wayyyy better now😬

My longest fic: My first baby, Into The Deep End. March 6, 2024 will make it ten years since I first published it on another platform. I worked so hard on it as a stress reliever when I was studying for my Masters, and to know that it still gets so much love on all the sites I've posted it on truly warms my heart. Targets is my second-longest, I really enjoyed that one too.

My shortest fic: Definitely Wait For You. Marian tagged me in a "Seven Sentence" challenge and this was the result. I'm terrible with <1000 word fics and it was truly a challenge, lol.

My most popular fic: So, there's three answers. Overall, Into The Deep End for sure. But for my one-shots, I still get messages and quotes about Power Couple (Roman/OC) and On Sight (Jey Uso/OC) to this day.

My personal fave fic: Lol this answer changes all the time. They're all my babies, I really can't choose. Each time I re-read one, I fall in love with it.

do you just one day realize that you have tons of ideas and Aus, and half of them- if not 3/4 of them will be forever forgotten?

Like. When I tell you the amount of things that I come up with during one day is... Is unbelievable? Sometimes it is the same plot but different scenarios.

The other week, I was going back to my old chats with my bestie, and I was shocked to find this very old Au that I came up with, ( Papa Royed obviously.) and the fact I drew for it too??

I also Reopned an older Au, called “ Roy Elric.” which, really, Roy in Trisha’s shoes. Does that mean Riza is Ho? No I don't think so. I was inspired by this older fic on Ao3, and kinda doodled for their Au.

Another Au- Tangled. I have only shared this with my bestie, but basically when the “ kingdom dance.” music was trending- which has been my favorite type of music since I watched Tangled which was in 2011 😂 when I heard it again, I realized how much that song ( music.) will fit Fma, and 2 ideas came:

what if Fma had a culture? Like, dances, foods, and Music and clothes?? I started designing Riza’s costume over good 9 months ago, so if you are interested I will love to share

Idea number 2 is basically your classic Fma x Tangled. With Ed as Punzel and Roy as Eugene and Ho as mother gothal. Not that Ed is a prince, but the idea of him being locked and Roy freeing him to show him the world.

There is this other idea, that Roy adopted Ed and Al before they committed the taboo but kept them a secret to protect them?

And the idea of Royai retiring and having Ed and Roy is blind and military comes and Ed learns who his parents are?

Also, I never realized that I have been writing regressed Ed? Like, I never did until I started following Mayliz ❤️ and I was like. “ hold up, this has a name?” and then my bestie pointed it and was like, “ Your Ed always regressed,” and I was like “ oh yeah.” and kinda tempted to write a whole fic with that WITH AL AND ED being regressed

What If the taboo failed BECAUSE Ed isn't Trisha’s biological son?

Like, gah, I didn't even scratch the surface of these ideas. And I want to write after math of Hughes’ death! And OH MY GOD I HAVE THE AU WHERE ROY WAS IN HUGHES’ SHOE!

Okay okay, so instead of Gracia and Elysia, it’s Riza and Ed and Al, but the catch here is that Riza isn't a solider, she is just Roy’s wife, one day when the whole team goes around to fight Envy they find Mrs. Mustang there with her husband’s gloves, KILLING Envy? Like having no shame because he killed her husband and orphaned her kids. This would mean, that Riza is an alchemist too. Roy probably taught her to keep herself and the kids safe just in case

Also, I do want to write a fic where the boys just grief the loss of their dad

😩😩😩 I don't joke when I say this is just a normal day with my brain, haha, I just wished I had more time to draw and write. I am busy currently, but I am hoping and praying that mid of December won't come without me posting something. I want to finish Took my kids? Take my fire now- which, has been on my chest since last year and there is no way we're going to Jan 2024 with this fic unfinished

hello anon!!!!! first let me say "brother punzeling" has me SO CHARMED i feel like a little monk working on my little illuminated manuscripts (porn).

anyways - god i wish that in 2012 i knew about hockey reference dot com. love to just see who was playing a game on a given day!!!!! fundamental for my fic writing process now lmao. also espn+ which did not exist. just me and my horrible illegal streams to watch the pittsburgh penguins before my evening seminars on the politics of empire. those were the days. i also wish i'd had better access to olympics content in 2010 and 2014!!! watching international tournaments is one of my great joys and those were years i didnt get to watch much live/"live". and probably just the chance to go to more live games at more levels! until the last few years id only been to two games in the central european league and a couple whl ones, and no nhl or ahl games at all (but i did have basically glass side seats in vienna, so, you win some you lose some).

Yo so Jaime (can I call you by your name idk if that's odd) guess what I am like 2 days in and almost done with Punzel HEH also I feel bad for leaving Hollow Edge on hold but I was just curious with Punzel and whoa like this fic is a different kind of intense that I couldn't help

Like I didn't even have time to comment on your fic as I was reading I was just clicking next and next. If I thought the tension in Mood Tattoo was fascinating, this one just threw me in for a ride because DAMN the tension runs super deep. Also this Eliott I feel is the closest to his characterization in canon, I don't know why but it just is. I suppose the artsiness being maintained since in Mood Tattoo Eliott being a full-on surgeon is bound to change him up a little bit.

Also, you guessed it! I am making another playlist! Because for some reason all of my favorite songs are showing up magically in your fics as of recent. Like... Chris Isaak in Hollow Edge?? MY SECOND FAVORITE PARADIS SONG IN PUNZEL? Like?? these are too many coincidences to just not signal me making a playlist.

I'm in the process of editing the other two too to make the vibe more vibe-y ~ kind of going for a new style when it comes to playlists but as always they'll be in chronological order with the story.

It is soooooo interesting to hear your thoughts on Punzel! And saying that Eliott is the most true to canon in this one isn't something I'd thought about but it does make sense - he's his super artsy, soft self. That was for sure a challenge in Mood Tattoo because that field didn't jive as much with his personality (which at least I was able to make part of the narrative).

I love that you do playlists so much, you have no idea!!! I was wondering what you'd think of the music in Hollow Edge as that's the only fic where I make music part of the story and a bigger aspect of a character's personality. Ngl, I'm legit proud I put in a couple songs you approve of dslkafjdslkfj. The work you put into the playlists is so appreciated. It's not something my brain is able to do, and I'm just blown away by how you come up with songs that so perfectly connect with moments in the story.

@gryffindorkxdraws has some posts about why she likes Jackunzel here, here, and here, so those are a pretty good rundown of reasons to supplement mine. But I’ll make a list of my own!

Why Jackunzel Owns My Entire Soul: An Essay in Disorganized Bullet Points ~I dig the sun/moon symbolism! Like Jack was chosen by the moon and Rapunzel has the powers of the sun. It’s such a nice contrast, and it also lends itself really well to star-crossed lover-type fantasy/fairy tale AUs (which I am ALWAYS a sucker for!) ~From what little we know about Jack’s preference in girls (i.e. the slight crush he seemed to have on Tooth), Rapunzel seems like EXACTLY his type--bubbly, energetic, optimistic girls with a bit of a maternal streak. I think even the RotG director confirmed Punz is the kind of girl Jack would like! ~Jack also absolutely seems like Punzel’s type--if Flynn/Eugene is anything to go by, she’s kind of into sarcastic troublemakers with a hidden soft side XD And she also seems to like guys who are good with kids, if Eugene reading “The Adventures of Flynnigan Rider” to the younger kids at the orphanage is anything to go by! ~They both seem to be naturally pretty social people who suffered a lot from being isolated for a really long time--Jack had it worse, obviously (300 years--OUCH), but it was rough on Punz as well, growing up for 18 years with no one for company but Mother Gothel and Pascal. Jack, spending all that time with no one able to see him and only the guardians (who weren’t even really his friends from much of that time) for company, would understand that pain a lot. I feel like they’d be able to connect on a really deep and intimate level about the pain they felt at being isolated for so long, and this would give them a really strong bond that I can easily see turning into something romantic. ~They’re both just such genuinely lively and fun-loving people, and I can imagine them having a ton of fun together and just genuinely really enjoying spending time together. Like imagine the snowball fights!!! The ice-skating!!! The sledding!!! Chasing each other through the forest!!! Jack grabbing onto Punz and her wrapping her hair around a tree and swinging them around Tarzan-style!!! Like literally the entire scene where Punzel leaves her tower for the first time and is goofing off and doing Silly Shit for like an hour straight??? Like man...if Jack was there, they’d have the TIME OF THEIR LIVES together. Idk I just really love couples who I think would have a lot of fun together, it’s so pure <3 ~They’re both so loving!!! Like Rapunzel goes out of her way to be supportive to an entire tavernful of terrifying “ruffians and thugs” because they have dreams, and she’s so sweet to Flynn/Eugene no matter how many times he snarks at her and tries to alienate her!!! And Jack loves loves LOVES entertaining kids, and it genuinely makes him so happy to give them snow days :3 I just feel like they’d shower each other with love, and it’s honestly no less than they both deserve!!! ~Rapunzel especially is such an affectionate person, and I can see her doing just absolutely everything in her power to make Jack feel as seen and as loved as possible after 300 years of being alone. And god, does he NEED it, too. Like no way is this boy NOT touch-starved, and with some MAJOR self-esteem issues (although he’s good at hiding them). Rapunzel would do absolutely everything in her power to build him up and make him feel wanted and validated--and since it’s in her nature to do so, it would never feel like a burden or an effort for her. And she’d love him so much that hyping him up just comes naturally! She’s just got the kind of nurturing personality that someone as affection-starved as Jack really needs, and I think she could help him feel safe, comfortable, and loved in a way a lot of people couldn’t. ~For all the fun they’d have together, I also feel like Jack needs someone to ground him a bit and provide the Brain Cell to perhaps reign in that Unchecked Chaotic Energy of his sometimes XD Rapunzel certainly has a smart and rational side--I mean, she charted STARS as a teenager!!! She figured out how to get this stranger she captured to take her into the kingdom to see the lanterns!!! Girl can be spontaneous and goofy, sure, but she’s got smarts and kind of a mature streak that I think mesh with Jack really well. He’d never feel like she was a wet blanket stifling his fun, but she’d also have a sense of when to transition away from goofing off and focus on responsibilities (princess and guardian responsibilities in this case, I suppose?) ~On the flipside, I don’t see Rapunzel as being someone annoyed or irritated by Jack’s antics. She might like...gently scold him if he takes a prank too far, but she never finds his shenanigans to be grating and tiresome the way other people might. Rather, I think she’d be endlessly entertained by him. Like in his memory reel when he’s dicking around pretending to be a deer, she’d get a kick out of that! Jack would always be trying to make her laugh and make her smile, and Punz would love that so much about him! ~They’re both searching for a deeper meaning and a deeper sense of purpose in their lives. Rapunzel entertains herself with hobbies, but doesn’t feel like her life has really “begun” and is desperate to find out if her hunch is right and the floating lights really ARE meant for her. Jack has no idea why he was chosen by the moon or what he’s meant to do, and he’s determined to find out so he can finally have a sense of purpose. Rapunzel clearly wants a sense of purpose too, since she wants to do more with her life than pass the time with hobbies. I can definitely see them bonding over this! ~They’re both just so adventurous, and love to explore! Rapunzel is curious, and loves to read and learn, and she wants more than anything else to see the world and all it has to offer. Jack loves adventuring and flying around the globe spreading winter and fun, and he could show Punz everything she ever wanted to see. A perfect match, honestly! ~Aesthetically I LOVE the similarities!!! Like they both like to go barefoot, kinda showing their free-spirited natures. And I love how they’re both naturally brunette, but had their hair turned a different color by magic. It’s a little thing, but I think it’s a really neat parallel and it helps cement me thinking they really ARE perfect for each other in every little way! Haha XD AND they both have small green companions, and as of Ralph Breaks The Internet, they’re hoodie buddies as well!!! Not that surface-level parallels like that are actually that significant BUT I just think they’re neat XD ~While I am fond of Flynnzel/Eugenzel (still my favorite canon Disney couple!), finding out their age gap is around 8 years admittedly made me a bit uncomfy and just pushed me further into loving Jackunzel as an alternative option. I still really love Eugene as a character and adore his and Punzel’s dynamic, but these days I prefer their relationship as more of a big bro/little sis type thing. Jack I think is the best match for Rapunzel romantically, and Eugene I prefer with Elsa--or poooossibly Tooth, Astrid, or Zarina, if I read a fic that sells the pairing well enough! ~On a related note, I was into Jack x Tooth the first time I watched RotG, but after discovering Jackunzel, there was no going back--I was hooked! Rewatching the movie, Tooth strikes me more as a mom figure/”fun aunt” for Jack, and I actually prefer her with Bunnymund (I am WEAK for “the grumpy one is soft for the sunshine one” lmao)

Imagine thomas running to Sam and calling him daddy because he thinks it’s Jared. Dean meeting jj and holds her while she smiles at him.And them just silently crying for a life they never had. "Dude! Where the hell are we?" Dean asked while looking around room which was beautiful but a little too exquisite for his taste.

"Dean? That's-look at this", Sam pointed at a picture which was placed on top of the fire place.

"What?" Dean said with a frown on his face and looked at the picture Sam was pointing at. It was a wedding photograph of him and-

"Is that...Sister Jo? What the hell?" Dean asked his eyes widening at thought that 'he' married Jo.

"I-I guess so", Sam said.

The Winchesters were interrupted when suddenly two tiny bodies crashed into Dean. The sudden impact made Dean fall ungraciously on his ass and before he could understand what was happening, the tiny bodies started to pile up on his body and started showering him with kisses and hugs.

Sam looked with an amused and confused expression on his face at his brother who was trying to dodge the attacks made by the kids but froze when he felt a small pair of arms wrapped around his leg.

"Daddy?" Sam looked down to see a little boy of almost eight staring up at him with brown eyes. "D-daddy?" Sam's breathing hitched when he realised the little boy was his literal reflection. Sam bend down to get himself to the same height as the boy.

"Hey kiddo", Sam smiled at the boy. The kids had climbed down from Dean's body and now stood in front the hunters. Sam stifled a laugh when he saw his brother who was lying on the ground catching his breath.

"Daddy! Come on", a little blonde girl tugged at Dean's flannel.

"Where are you taking us?" Sam asked the girl.

"Daddy! You promised us that you will take us to the icecream. Unca Jensen! You promised JJ", the boy whined.

"Daddy! Zeppy, Arrow and Odette are with Mommy and Aunt Mama. We want icecream", the girl, JJ pouted at the hunters.

"Okay okay. We will take you for the icecream. But can you give D-daddy and uh..Uncle...some time?" Dean asked JJ.

"Okay", the kids groaned and left the room.

"Hey! Stay inside the house! All of you", Sam called out behind the kids.

"Dude, what the hell?" Dean asked.

"I don't know", Sam frowned.

"No seriously! What the hell?" Dean started to pace around the room.

"Come on", Sam grabbed Dean's attention, "we need to find a laptop".

The hunters started checking every room for a laptop.

"Ahah!" Sam exclaimed when he saw one in a room which appeared to be an office room.

Sam opened the laptop and it was not password protected and he started typing on it.

"So get this. You are Jensen Ackles, I'm Jared Padalecki"-

"Wait a minute! Didn't we come here to this universe when Balthazar zapped us?" Dean tilted his head in confusion, "but there were no kids that time".

"I think this is the same universe but the actors now have kids. So you or the actor who looks like you has three kids, JJ, Zeppelin and Arrow. And me or Jared also has...three kids. Tom, Shep and Odette", Sam said.

"Why would the witch send us to this weird universe?" Dean asked flailing his hands around him to point at his surroundings.

"I don't know, Dean! The witch said something with 'et quae aliquando viderat' which means", Sam started typing again, "everything you dreamed of".

"Son of a bitch! I hate witches", Dean groaned, "what are we supposed to do now? Take the kids to the icecream and pretend that everything's fucking awesome?" Dean asked.

"Yeah I guess. I mean we promised them after all....you know what, you go with them. I will be here and try to figure out how to get back", Sam said receiving a nod from his brother.

"Great! So I'm stuck with three hyperactive munchkins", Dean groaned but went out of the room in search of the kids.

"Hey kiddos! Who wants icecream?" Dean yelled out and immediately he heard the pitter patters of small feet.

"Daddy will not go with us?" The boy who was called Shep asked.

"Shep,D-Daddy's got some work", Dean patted the boy's head but he saw the boy's lips start to quiver.

"Hey, hey! Daddy will make up to you", Dean started to soothe the boy.

"But Daddy promised!" The boy yelled. Dean felt like a fish out of water. He didn't know how to handle the situation.

"How about we cancel the icecream plan and watch a movie at home instead. Uncle..J-Jared can join in too", Dean tried to reason with the kids.

"Okay", the kids groaned but eventually agreed and Shep finally cheered up.

"Can I watch 'punzel?" JJ asked.

"'Punzel?" Dean cocked his head at JJ.

"No you can't! We watch Coco", Tom argued.

Dean and the three kids settled down into a couch. He started the movie and wrapped his arms around the kids out of his natural instinct, pulling them closer towards him.

Halfway through the movie, Sam walked into the room but stopped dead in his tracks when he saw the scene in front of him. His brother was watching some stupid animation movie with kids but there was a smile of content playing on his lips. That's what they always wanted right? A family, a normal life. Sam felt his eyes become moist.

"Dea-Jensen?" Sam cleared his throat.

"Daddy! Come join us!" Tom called out from the couch.

"I will buddy. Jensen, c-can I talk to you for a second?" Dean nodded at Sam and pointed at the little girl who was holding him in a iron grip.

"I'll be back in a minute. Let me go talk to Uncle Jared, okay sweetheart?" Dean kissed the forehead of the girl and went to talk to Sam.

"What's up? Dude, you gotta check this movie out. I get why the kids love the movie so much". Dean chuckled at the thought of liking an animated movie.

"We can go back to our universe by doing a spell reversal", Sam said coming straight to the point.

"Oh", Dean said and looked back into the room.

"Dean?" Sam asked, "we need to go back so that Jared and Jensen can come back here. It's their life not ours".

"Uh-yeah. Yeah I know. Just give me five minutes", Dean said and walked back into the room.

"Hey JJ? Can you give me a hug?" Dean's voiced cracked a bit.

"Of course Daddy!" JJ said and wrapped her tiny hands around Dean, "Why you sad daddy?"

"Daddy's not sad sweetheart. He j-just really happy that he got to see you", Dean whispered to JJ.

"Why is Unca Jensen sad?" Shep asked and crawled onto Sam's lap when he walked over and took a seat on the couch beside them.

"He is not sad, kiddo. He is-" Sam stole a glance at his brother. They didn't even know the kids very well but it all felt so normal, like they had known this kids from their birth - like they were their own. He had noticed how shocked Dean was when JJ had called him Dad but his eyes had lit up like a kid on a Christmas morning. He looked at the little boy on his lap.

"Sammy", Sam was broken from his trance when he heard Dean calling his name.

"Hey kiddos. We'll be back in a few minutes, okay? Me and Uncle...Jared need to take care of something", Dean spoke softly to the kids.

"Daddy, can you we watch another movie after this?" JJ inquired.

"Yes, yes you can baby girl", Dean smiled at her and gave her one last hug.

"Your dad will be back", Dean got up and motioned his brother to follow him. Sam pulled the kids into a tight hug. He could feel his eyes started to water. He let go of the kids saying a silent goodbye to them and followed his brother out of the room.

"Do the spell. Let's get this over with", Dean sniffled.

Sam eyed his brother and started reading the spell aloud. Within minute they found themselves back in the safe place of the bunker.

"It worked", Dean said as if he didn't want the spell to work.

"Yeah, yeah it did. Dean, what happened"-

"Let's forget about it. The kids got back their own dads, I don't want to hear about this anymore. We have more important thing in our hands now. Chuck", Dean kept quiet for a moment.

"Sammy, I know what you're thinking but trust me when I say the apple pie life is not in our cards. This life, we can't escape it. We both tried brother but it always comes back and bites us in the ass", Dean said and went off to the kitchen to get himself a drink.

Sam scoffed at Dean's words. They needed to save the world, again. Why was it always upon them to save the goddamn world? Why couldn't they have what those two actors had? Why did they have to experience that just because a witch had zapped them to that universe? Why couldn't they just be happy for once?

The Promise

An idea that popped into my head. Enjoy some Hiccunzel fic.

“Hiccup?”

“Yeah, Rapunzel?”

“Promise that we’ll always be best friends?”

Little 8-year-old Hiccup smiled toothily at Rapunzel. “Yeah, I promise.”

Little 7-year-old Rapunzel held up her pinkie finger. “Pinkie promise?”

Hiccup wrapped his pinkie around her’s. “Pinkie promise.”

10-year-old Rapunzel stood on her front steps, crying.

11-year-old Hiccup stood in front of her. “Punzel, please don’t cry.”

Rapunzel sniffed. “But- but I don’t wanna move away! I wanna stay here, with you!”

Hiccup wrapped his arms around Rapunzel. She buried her face into his shoulder, coating his jacket with snot and tear. He didn’t care. “I promised that we’d always be best friends, remember?”

“Yeah...” Rapunzel said, muffled into his shoulder.

“Well, since you’re moving away, I think it’s your turn to pinkie promise.”

Rapunzel picked her head up, still sniffing, but smiled sadly at him. “Okay.”

Hiccup raised his pinkie.

Rapunzel wrapped her’s around his before bursting into tears again and jumping back into a hug.

“Here.”

Rapunzel looked over at Hiccup.

They were sitting on Hiccup’s roof, right across from Rapunzel’s house and close enough together to jump across back and forth.

She took the small box from his hand. “What’s this for?”

“Well,” Hiccup avoided her eyes. “Since you’re moving away tomorrow and I won’t get to celebrate your birthday with you this year, I thought you might like your present now.”

Rapunzel smiled at him and opened the box.

Inside sat a small ring with a sun on it. It had obviously been taken out of a gumball machine, but Rapunzel practically glowed as she picked it up.

“Hiccup I love it!” She exclaimed, hugging him.

Hiccup hugged her back.

“Hey, Hic?”

“Yeah, Punz?”

“Will you marry me someday?”

Hiccup was surprised at her question and took a moment to think about it.

“Yeah. Yeah, I will, someday.”

Rapunzel smiled at him. “Pinkie promise?”

Hiccup smiled back at her. “Pinkie promise.”

Their fingers interlocked one last time.

17-year-old Hiccup stood at his locker, pulling his history book out of it as his friends stood next to him, arguing.

“Ya really think tha’ Bunnymund will let us outta sprints taday? No way!” Merida said.

“He said that if one student can beat him in a race then we’ll get out of it for the rest of the month and I for one can bet that I can take that old hare.” Jack replied.

Merida and Jack were his two best friends. They’d started hanging out their freshman year when they all sat at the back of Mr. Pitchiner’s English class.

They spent the class making snarky remarks to one another and complaining about reading Romeo and Juliet (that they all secretly enjoyed).

“Care ta weigh in ‘ere, Haddock?” Merida asked before noticing the awestruck look on her friend’s face. “Er, Hiccup?”

Merida and Jack followed his gaze down the hallway where a long-haired blonde was walking, arms crossed over her books that were tight to her chest. It wasn’t hard to tell she was new and has no idea where she going.

“Close your mouth, Hiccup or you might start to drool.” Jack remarked, but Hiccup couldn’t hear him over the thousands of thoughts going through his head as the blonde came ever closer to them.

It was Rapunzel. It had to be. No one else he’d ever known had green eyes like her’s or the brightest blonde hair or- did she get braces? Her buck teeth were gone. He could tell by the way she bit her lip. Her freckles looked to still be there, though, if only he could get a closer look-

“Hiccup?”

The boy in question’s thoughts halted right there as Rapunzel stopped right in front of him.

“Rapunzel?”

He looked down at her hands and, sure enough, there on her finger was a plastic yellow ring with the sun on it.

Rapunzel smiled. “It’s good to see you! You got so tall! And are wearing contacts now, apparently.”

Hiccup laughed, scratching the back of his neck. “Uh, yeah, I got them in 8th grade. But look at you! You’re beauti- uh- um- very grown-up. Braces?”

“Yeah,” Rapunzel said. “Got them in 7th grade. Worst three years of my life. Worth it, though, I guess.”

Hiccup nodded, eyes not leaving her’s for a second. They were mesmerized with each other. It was like nobody else existed.

Someone cleared their throat beside them.

“Care to introduce us to your friend, Haddock?” Jack asked.

“Oh, uh, yeah. Rapunzel, these are my friends Jack and Merida. Guys, this is Rapunzel. She was-” Hiccup was suddenly hit with a memory. “She is my best friend.”

Rapunzel smiled up at him.

“And kind of my fiancee, in a way.”

Merida chocked on her sports drink. “Yer what?!”

Hiccup and Rapunzel laughed.

“It’s a long story.”

It was like she’d never left.

Hiccup and Rapunzel instantly fell into step with one another.

Sure, they had a lot to catch up on, but it was like they were little kids on the swing-set again.

Her favorite food was still hazelnut soup. Her favorite color was still purple. Her favorite movie was still “The Princess Bride”. She still loved to paint. And she still wore his ring.

“I can’t believe you kept that.” Hiccup said as they chatted during his lunch hour.

Rapunzel laughed. “I’d be surprised if it could come off my finger. I’ve barely ever taken it off since you gave it to me.”

Hiccup hadn’t changed at all, either, Rapunzel thought.

He still hated fish with a passion. His favorite color was still green. His favorite movies were still Star Wars. He still loved animals. And he was still the adorkable kid she loved.

“You two are sickeningly sweet, you know?” Jack said. “It’s making me so nauseous, I’m almost considering giving the rest of my hamburger to Merida.”

“Cool.”

“I said considering.”

Rapunzel laughed. “I think we’re going to be great friends, you guys.”

“Same ‘ere, blondie, same ‘ere.”

“Soooo” Rapunzel said as she and Hiccup walked out of the building after school. “Still wanna marry me?”

Hiccup laughed. “I pinkie promised, didn’t I? Those things are binding.”

Rapunzel shoved his shoulder with hers. “Seriously.”

Hiccup smiled at her. “Yeah. Yeah, I will. Someday.”

Rapunzel wrapped her pinkie around his. “Someday sounds good to me.”

153: Drunk or highI’ve only ever been kinda buzzed, so I have next to no experience with either? Can i say both or either?

134: Singing or dancingI love doing both, though I get big anxiety doing either in front of people. And it’s been so long since I was in dance classes, I more choreograph stuff in my mind. But singing is my main love. Singing along to songs, belting songs when no one’s around. Fantastic.

Lucas and Eliott have been best friends since childhood – or at least teenager-hood – and both value their friendship above all else. It’s the most important… the best thing in both of their lives… and not enough. Not for Lucas. It never has been. It's the cruelest trick of fate. To have Eliott in every way but the way Lucas wants him. To know Eliott loves him… just not like that. Lucas has learned to live with it, but things are beginning to feel different – or maybe it’s Lucas who is different. And he’s coming to realize… something needs to change.

12. How many WIP’s do you have in your docs for next year?

You may not believe this, but I only have 2 WIPs for next year as of this moment. I have "Power of Two" (Photo Op 4) and "Model of the Solar System." I have been trying really, really hard not to start more than I can handle. Do I have ideas? Plenty. But I only have two current WIPs to start off 2024.

15. What WIP are you taking into next year with you?

Just the two, which is so rare for me. But I guess TCV is one big ongoing WIP as well. So maybe that makes it three?

18. The character that gave you the most trouble writing this year?

Jared from "Rest and Restore." It was super difficult to write him because he had to be going through the grief of his divorce, but without coming off as annoyingly whiny. There's this fine line between "I'm letting off steam and going through something" and "I'm just wallowing/whining." He had to be fresh from his divorce but removed from it, too. It was a thing I worked really hard to balance.

20. Which work of yours have you reread the most?

This year it's been all about "Minutes Past Midnight." It's such a comforting place to be. I really want to live in Jared's yurt for a week and just experience what it must be like to live in the great wide wilderness. Of course, it wouldn't hurt if I had a Jensen there, too.

Tagging on...

I will say that I constantly have ideas in my head that might become WIPs. Like Back Pocket 3. Minutes Past Midnight 2. A continuation of Rest and Restore.

A new idea about J2 being pretending to be bachelors in the late 1800s, but they're really a couple and it's their first winter out on the prairie. I'm basing that idea off of Laura Ingalls Wilder's writing. I just love her stuff, I used to read her a lot what I was a kid.

Another idea for the Palo Alto verse where Dean, while at work in the library as a security guard, encounters a pretty nasty spirit. He has to call in back up--Sam. She shows up and kicks ass, despite not hunting in a while.

I'm also thinking about Punzel and what I need to do to move forward in that verse. I would love to start a proper sequel to it, not just a timestamp. And I think we are there? Or maybe almost? But I need to finish other projects first.

And of course, there's Photo Op 4, which I'll carry with me into 2024. We need these boys married!

Model of the Solar System is also perpetually on my mind. I'm still worldbuilding after all these years. I just still need to figure out the end, which is easier said than done.

I also have a J2 time travel fic that's at some 30,000 words on Patreon. But I got stuck while writing it and the pandemic happened, then I got caught up in Minutes Past Midnight. I just had to table it. I will finish it one day. I think it's a good fic. I really like Jared in that fic, even though it's from Jensen's POV. And I liked writing in the first person, plus the use of photography in that fic.

So that's a preview of what I roll around in my head on a daily basis, anon! I hope you enjoyed the peek. :)

Jackunzel Month, Day 25: “Trust Me” So for this prompt, I decided to make a moodboard to go with the Jackunzel fanfic I wrote on my ff.net account a while back, Manicures! Largely for the memes, a friend of mine was like “okay but what would happen if Rapunzel dared Jack to get his nails done, and Jack being Jack, he obviously can’t chicken out???” and I was just like “...fuck it, I’m gonna write that fic.” So what in the fuck does that have to do with the prompt, you ask? So the premise is just what it sounds like--Punzel triple-dog-dares her boyfriend to go to the nail salon with her, and the results are...not what she expected XD Some things might get out about Jack that he’d rather keep hidden, but he’s just going to have to trust Rapunzel not to judge. Not that his pride and secret insecurities are going to make that very easy lmao Man, this was honestly such a fun jaunt to write too, even if it ended up being like 90% corny fluff XD And damn...is that the last full Jackunzel story I wrote??? I really gotta write more of these two. I always meant to do more with the super-angsty Icicle!Jack x Rapunzel AU I came up with for Jackunzel Week 2016, so maybe I’ll write some more of that one of these days. Augh, so much fanfic to write, so little time! Lmao I remember the auto-generated border was such a BORING color so I manually changed it to dark purple, and well...if you’ve read the story, you know why XD Pic credits available upon request!
