Hello there! 

I’m Cal and I write fic! My main fandom is SPN and my two pairings are Sam/Dean + J2. I’ve uploaded 1.8 million words to AO3 since 2013. 

I’m reaching out as things with my health continue to be quite complicated. I have hepatic adenomatosis, which is the presence of more than 20 (benign for now) tumors on my liver. I’ve been in and out of the hospital since December 2017. After my first major surgery in July 2018, I haven’t been able to return to work full-time. A transplant is inevitable, my team is just not sure when. There are a few things my insurance doesn’t cover, like parking costs at my transplant hospital/doctors’ offices and acupuncture. I also have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, RA, and fibro, because I’m that awesome. XD

Patrons on Patreon help me afford utilities, groceries, car insurance, parking, and acupuncture. I won’t be back at work full-time for the foreseeable future, so any support on Patreon is incredibly appreciated.

As a way of showing my appreciation and gratitude to Patrons, I post a bonus fic (current one is “Don’t Forget the B-Side,” J2 AU set in Portland) and artwork. At the $20 tier, Patrons get to vote on what I work on next, what I incorporate into stories, and get access to unpublished fic/fic before it’s posted on AO3. B-Side has 40,000 words to it so far and has a Nat King Cole soundtrack to it. I just put up the newest Punzel timestamp for Patrons at all tiers to read a day early.

I am so happy you posted the first chapter! Then I realized that I have zero patience so now I still need to wait for the whole fic to be up before I can even start reading it. This was torture when MT was first released and I had to block all the spoilers for a good while. Girl, wish me luck for the long haul!

Truly the level of restraint… I can’t exercise that restraint in any aspect of my life 😂. Your power honestly. I wish you all the luck! When I get chapter specific asks it will be tagged as ‘Punzel chapter 1’ etc. And otherwise all under the ‘Punzel fic’ tag. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts when you do read 😘.

Oh! And FYI- Chapter 11 is the last chapter. 12 is epilogue. 13 is bonus.

14. If you can live anywhere in the world where would it be? Why?: I think I’d choose California, but like, Northern Cal. It’s cooler, less humidity, and not so far from Portland/Seattle (two places I’d love to visit on the regular). If any of y’all have an extra cottage/summer home out there and would like to host me, send word. XD Aside from that, I think maybe somewhere in Colorado (not Denver, but close to it?). Basically, anywhere that won’t make my joints hurt so much.

32. 3 Favorite Girl Names: Hailey, Bailey, Kaylee. This is why I named the triplets in Punzel those names. Faves!

76. What color looks best on you?: Dark red, blues, dark grays, and black. Anything in a darker shade, I can make it work. But I love gray and black. 

80. What is your biggest pet peeve?: People who don’t put the toilet lid down before they flush. Okay, that and people yelling. I hate raised voices. 

97. Dark, milk, or white chocolate?: Milk! With almonds! Or rice krispies! Or wafers! Though, I will sometimes eat those dark chocolate peanut butter cups from Trader Joe’s. White chocolate is way too sweet. 

98. Favorite month?: Hmm. Probably May. It’s a busy month (my birthday and my grandma’s birthday, mother’s day) so it goes by fast. The weather out here is usually pretty nice by then. My second fave month is October, or Octoberween.

86. What is your phone background?: A picture of my sister’s cat, Henry. 

82. Favorite ice cream flavor: For ice cream, it’s chocolate. Plain chocolate. (The ice cream from Baskin’s is my favorite.) For paletas, it’s either strawberry, vanilla, or coconut. 

78. Do you sleep with your door open or closed?: Closed. I’m too paranoid to leave it open. XD
