Mew smiled at Pumpkin, "Oh! A shaymin! You look very different of the shaymin we have back home!" Mew said gleefully, "Oh! About your question! Celebi and I get along for the most part, though he's a bit unpredictable at times, often causing problems that end up being talked about among us legends on how to deal with it, but he did build my best friend so I do have him to thank for that! Oh! There's also hoopa! They're how I got here! Speaking of..." Mew's expression changed to one of anger, her fist making contact with her palm, psychic energy manifesting around their hands, "I'm going to have to have a talk with him when I get back..." It's clear Mew has a temper and can be scary when she wants to be, though her expression reverted back to its gleeful default, the psychic energy dissipating, Celebi may not be the only unpredictable one...

After a hasty (and somewhat apologetic) farewell to the gallade, Hendrik scans the ballroom for Jasper. He spots him pacing around and quickly approaches him.

Jasper!

Ah, Hendrik. What is the matter? You seem more… scattered? Than usual.

I wish to speak to you-

Is that not what we are doing right now? Jasper can’t help but smirk at Hendrik’s annoyed expression.

In private.

The Yveltal nods, patting Hendrik’s shoulder. Ah, if you wanted me to yourself, you need not only ask. His hand trails down Hendrik’s chest suggestively and his grin is… intimate.

R-Right. Hendrik feels his body stiffen and his face heat up slightly. Will that gazebo work? He points out the door and into the grounds.

That is fine with me. He can sense some of Hendrik’s nerves, I shall meet you out there when you’re ready. Jasper strolls out the door, only turning back to send Hendrik a wink.

Hendrik paces slightly, lost in thought. He barely notices when he bumps into someone-

Oh! My sincerest apologies. He stands somewhat awkwardly, hoping that they will start the conversation…

Hm, companions… He hesitates, pondering the Shaymin’s words. Of course there’s Jasper, he smiles slightly at the Yveltal’s name. He has been by my side since I became a god. And, recently, there’s been Sarah, Artemis, and Athena…

He doesn’t notice a zoroark join them until they speak,

The Cobalion lets out a booming laugh, the first laugh anyone at the gala has (most likely) heard from him. I don’t suppose you have met Jasper? He is perfectly capable on his own… Yes, Jasper and I see each other as equals. I am his shield and he is my sword… We fight together, alongside one another…

He glances out at the gazebo, where you can see Jasper alone.

Wil’s name rang a distant bell. Pumpkin vaguely recalled meeting a shiny Weavile by that name. Wasn’t he a musician?

“Hm… I see. Well, while I can understand you’re frustrated, it might be a bit better to talk it out with them calmly rather than lashing out. People might respond a bit better that way,” Pumpkin said with a smile. “They’re your friends after all, I’m sure they’d understand your feelings. But shouting only results in more shouting, and shouting matches rarely solve anything, you know?”

Pumpkin put a hand to her chest and half-curtsied. “My name’s Pumpkin. Pleased to meet you, Edin. Hopefully now that you’re feeling a bit calmer, the event might be a bit more pleasant for you. Could I fetch you a glass of water to help calm your nerves a bit more?”

(shaymincafe) Pumpkin @ Erin: Hey now, I know you're upset but that's no reason to lash out like that. Um... I only heard a little bit of what's going on. Something about a missed dance? Do you want to talk about it a bit more? Perhaps a bit less angrily?

While Edin is still crying at the gazebo, a Shaymin in a human disguise comes to him.

“*sob* H-hey… you want to talk about…Wil?” He gets very nervous when he is questioned about “missed dance”. “Y-yeah, I was still very mad even after Wil’s leaving. B-but Rimi…she was around…before Noelle’s return… and then I continued my rant.”

“Don’t get me wrong, I like Rimi and Noelle, I just rant about their negative traits. They are still my friends and I still treasure them… *sob*” He cries with a glimpse of a smile.

He starts to slowly calm down.

“Thank you so much, miss… Oh, I haven’t asked your name. Name’s Edin by the way.” He starts to fully smile, although his crying has not fully faded.

A chime plays as you open the door, drawing the attention of the attendant standing closest to you. The blue Shaymin looks you up and down through his glasses, very obviously judging your current fashion choices. After a moment, he returns his gaze to your face.

“Scarves, over there. Rosemary will take care of you there.”

A pink Shaymin with a curly hedge waves at you enthusiastically from the section full of scarves. It seems she’s eager to chat about anything and everything, especially scarves.

“Jewelry and other accessories, over there. Best to consult with ShayingStar quickly before their partner gets in and eats all the items again.”

The sparkly sky Shaymin seems to pay you no heed as they admire their own reflection, absolutely covered in all sorts of jewelry. It would appear they’re more interested in wearing their products than selling them.

“Hats, over there. That handsome young gentleshay is Vetle. They’re taken, but available to consult with all your headwear needs.”

The lighter blue Shaymin gives a lazy wave from their station. They let out a yawn and wink at the attendant, who blushes a bit in response. They exchange quick smiles before the attendant returns his attention to you.

“And my name is Chicory. I’m the owner. Anything else fashion wise, you come to me.” He gives you another once over before offering a somewhat judgmental smile. “You need our help, darling, so don’t be afraid to ask for it.”

He turns to walk off to his station before turning back and saying, “Oh and of course…”

Mouse shyly hunkers down as Princess Cereza turned to talk to the Shaymin. "Yeah, royal weddings are a big thing. And this is my first not-royal wedding I've attended so far."

"I've seen some at home, but never really attended one." Mouse nervously signed.

(shaymincafe) Pumpkin @ Hollow: That was very kind of you to protect those trick-or-treaters. Did you know the Lycanroc that attacked them?

Hollow swished her tail around for a moment. Hoping to feel around for the one she was speaking with this time. When she did feel a presence she immediately retracted her tail back. Then she began to speak in the same voice as of the shaymin's.

Hollow: "I only did the necessary- While helping others is it's own reward, I just simply happened to be passing by- and well got caught in it all I suppose. As for the Lycanroc, I wish I could say... I wasn't able to see them. Maybe if I heard their voice I could identify, though it's pointless other than that."

(shaymincafe) Pumpkin @ Shaymin: You said your eyes are the same? Does it have to do something with both of you having been patrons? Does the eye change mean anything? They do say eyes are widows to the soul, could it have something to do with that?

Shaymin: The eyes symbolize that one is bound to their respective god, so yes! In this case I'd be bound to well, myself.

Shaymin: Since time immemorial the patron of Shaymin has succeeded their predecessors in one way or another- be it through death, the previous Shaymin stepping down, or what have you. Peace is not an easy thing to hold dominion over, and it tends to take its toll after a few thousand years or so.

Shaymin: ...It's a well-kept secret amongst the gods, you see. Our patron system is far from perfect, but if it's what mother wants...

(shaymincafe) Pumpkin spotted Nuclea making its entrance to the event. It was a little late, just like she was, but that made the perfect chance to strike up a conversation she supposed. She quickly made her way over to it and waved to get its attention. "Um, hi! My name's Pumpkin. I just wanted to say I really like your outfit. It suits you very well, especially those gem accessories. Do you have any plans while you're here?"

Nuclea had only been here a short time, but so far, those that it had met had been rather welcoming. It gave a soft smile, looking over Pumpkin. It had no idea what was deemed 'fashionable', but going by aesthetics, it had to admit, the Shaymin looked rather nice.

"Hello, and thank you. Your outfit looks very good as well, Pumpkin."

"As for what my plans are, to be honest, I hope to just make friends with some of the other Pokémon, and try to find out what I've missed while I was asleep."

(shaymincafe) Pumpkin @ Wanda: "The Great War"? Sounds... scary. Do you know exactly why there was a historical blackout? Was it caused by some sort of great literature loss? Like the purposeful burning of records?

Wanda sighed, "Honestly, I don't, no one does," Wanda began to get excited again, "But that's exactly what makes it so interesting! We do know a few things about it though, there were these devices known as pokeballs that were invented and used, though any uncovered don't work, most are barely intact, and only a few were uncovered without their pieces being scattered about! You can actually see one of these in the museum right here in Lumiose! While the use is definitely frightening, it's extremely interesting! Able to store a Pokemon in such a tiny space! Though it is definitely fortunate that none of them work and scientists are unable to reverse engineer them, I can see that being abused real quick!"

It is understandable that you would fear becoming like your mother, and the fact that you recognize it as a possibility shows you're already on the right path to avoid that. But in order to stop hurting those you care about, you will have to learn how to manage your anger. It won't be easy, but you have the ability. Unless you make the effort to learn and grow, you will not see change.

Finn looked over at the Shaymin, just the tiniest bit of hope glimmering in his green eyes, "I...I- you sound like you know what your saying is true and I hope you're right."

He shuffled his paws and drew in a few deep breathes to steady his hammering heart. "I've tried to get more help before...asked mom if I could go to the humans and see if there was a medication to help, ya know? Cause I think I'm bipolar." The Yamper sniffled and fought off the tears again, "She wouldn't listen. But Addy and Keahi care and maybe soon I can get more help. I'll keep trying to fix my temper...it can be so hard sometimes...but I do want to get better."

After a moment he looked at Pumpkin again and nodded in determination, "I will get better."
