Great Slave Lake, Hay River (No. 1)
Great Slave Lake is the second-largest lake in the Northwest Territories of Canada (after Great Bear Lake), the deepest lake in North America at 614 m (2,014 ft), and the tenth-largest lake in the world by area. It is 469 km (291 mi) long and 20 to 203 km (12 to 126 mi) wide. It covers an area of 27,200 km2 (10,500 sq mi) in the southern part of the territory. Its given volume ranges from 1,070 km3 (260 cu mi) to 1,580 km3 (380 cu mi) and up to 2,088 km3 (501 cu mi) making it the 10th or 12th largest by volume.
The lake shares its name with the First Nations peoples of the Dene family called Slavey by their enemies the Cree. Towns situated on the lake include (clockwise from east) Łutselk'e, Fort Resolution, Hay River, Hay River Reserve, Behchokǫ̀, Yellowknife, Ndilǫ, and Dettah. The only community in the East Arm is Łutselk'e, a hamlet of about 350 people, largely Chipewyan Indigenous peoples of the Dene Nation, and the abandoned winter camp and Hudson's Bay Company post Fort Reliance. Along the south shore, east of Hay River is the abandoned Pine Point Mine and the company town of Pine Point.

Did your family have a springhouse?
A springhouse is a small building, usually of a single room, and constructed over a spring. While the original purpose of a springhouse was to keep the spring water clean by excluding fallen leaves, animals, etc., the enclosing structure was also used for refrigeration before the coming of ice delivery and, later electric refrigeration.
The water of the spring maintains a constant cool temperature inside the spring house all year. Food that would otherwise spoil, such as meat, fruit, or dairy products could be kept there. It was also safe from animals as well. Springhouses often also served as pumphouses, milkhouses, and root cellars.
The springhouse pictured is located at the Walker Sisters Cabin in Tennessee.

Hey dream friends, what's kind of injury was the worse you've ever gotten?
KEL; "Before we came to the real world, I got into a really nasty close call with a RARE BEAR once. The last time we were in PYREFLY FOREST, we fought one of those bears and I threw a ball, it missed, and it got me real good across the leg with it's teeth. Hurt like heck, HERO patched me up after the battle but I still have a bite mark down there."
AUBREY; "I broke my arm punching a building once out of anger, HERO healed me but I had to wear a cast for a week. Stupid pumphouse and it's steel walls."
HERO; "Hit my pinky toe on a corner in SWEETHEART'S CASTLE, I think it was the first time in a while since I cried that hard. I'm just so glad that real world older me got us all shoes. I'm a little more careful around corners now."
MARI; "Bad knee acts up sometimes when I walk, sometimes it's so bad that I have to sit down and rest."
OMORI; "Stabbing myself out of habit in the real world. Fortunately, MARI saved me and I got visited a hospital for the second time in my life."
BASIL; "...I-I can't really say...I don't want to...I really don't want to talk about what happened down in BLACK SPACE."
ROWAN: "Strangled by a HELLMARI, decapitated, exploded into watermelon chunks, eaten alive by spiders, beaten to death by lookalikes of my friends, former friend replacing me and leaving me to be forgotten...Rinse and repeat until I eventually turned into a SOMETHING and lose all sense of self...Need I say more?"
BASIL; "..."
ROWAN; "Hey, at least you got to stay dead when those things killed you, I wasn't lucky to have rest in BLACK SPACE."
FLOWER; "...I cut my finger one time..."

The Pumphouse at the remains of the Homestead works (Steel Mill), Pittsburgh PA. Location of a battle between the Pinkertons and striking steel works in 1892. The July 6, 1892 battle between workers and Pinkerton strikebreakers raged around a roughly 40 by 40-foot, red-brick, slate-roof building known as the Pump House. The building has ben preserved and can be seen along the Great Allegheny Passage bike trail.
