is a zine that showcases poetry written by h moon. the poetry ranges from romantic to serious to silly. poetry can be used as a kind of therapy for many people including me.
i was first encouraged to write poetry by a late professor so i would like to dedicate this collection to him. i thank him for all that he taught me and all the ways that he helped at a particularly bad time for me.
the poems included in this zine are
With You fancy things ribcage story magic bugs disturbed off the shelf a prayer to the god of knowledge
TRIGGER WARNINGS: implied disassociation, religion, bugs, doll imagery

Three of my poems were published in "We Have Food At Home," Issue #25!
These poems are called "Hard-Baked," "Frozen Pizza," and "Christmas Cookies."
I'm so grateful to the editor, Praya, for accepting my work. I'm also happy to have my work featured in WHFAH again as well!
Happy reading!

My Hidden Key
There is a key
I used it to lock
that part of my heart
where all my feelings are
buried inside
I did my best
to make sure this key
would never be found again
the feelings there too painful
to relive
Then serendipity changed everything
you walked into my life
carrying my hidden key
knowing that opening that door
was necessary
I needed to know
what love truly felt like
to heal my heart so
it feels safe to be
loved again
We are stronger as one
hand in hand together
nothing can ever stop us
our love is destined to
last forever

New Poem Day: "Guidelines for Living Your Fairy Tale (in no Particular Order)" in The Future Fire!
I've got a new poem out at The Future Fire!
Wow, a new update, already???? (Also, my spouse and I have been watching a whole lot of “Succession” lately, but I will always and forever love Matthew Macfadyen as Mister Darcy in the 2005 adaptation of “Pride and Prejudice”.) But seriously, I’m just jumping in to announce a poem of mine has been published in the latest issue of The Future Fire! The editors decided to make Issue 2024.69 their…

No, the etiquette, though broken so often with sobbing,
must be silence: at least we must not speak.
Any word can run mad with itself, and with evisceration of itself
& there is no word for living through this, there is no word for
witnessing
our beloved fail piecemeal, no word to speak the itch
inside the fingers to be off, candle wax thinning to the bone-wick,
no word conveying the centering toward a more & more
essential which is itself essential to nothing & no one
but ourselves, in useless love, in unsupporting darkness, tongues
numb and as slow as sick dogs.
-- Love Among Lepers by Richard Ronan
