honestly if I were a rrverse!roman my sense of superiority would change its tune so fucking fast when it's discovered my gods are pretty much perversions and violations to the identities of the real gods and that they all chose to go back to identifying as greek as soon as our little empire fell and stopped holding them hostage

like, I don't get how the canon romans have the gall to keep calling the gods by their roman names now they're aware that's pretty much a psychic attack, at that point you count your losses and consider yourself lucky to still be included, NOT dig your heels in and double down
