Psalm 147:11 states, "The Lord delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love". Here are some interpretations of Psalm 147:11:Fear: In the Bible, fear of the Lord refers to respect and reverence, not a trembling fear.Hope: In the Bible, hope is a patient expectation and a promise.

(Psalm 147:11)
People often ask me why would God help a person who has made poor life choices, poor business choices, or people who messed their lives up? It's actually an interesting question, and one that relates to the eternal grace God has for mankind.
In the Garden of Eden, Adam brought in death through his act of disobedience. His disobedience would not just be for him to deal with, but everyone after him was subjected to the consequences of his poor decision. But God was not willing to leave His creation without any hope. God will never leave you without hope!
What Adam messed up, Christ repaired! Now we have access to the Father, and we can go to Him anytime, and without guilt.
It's the same way when we make poor life choices we think only affects us. God is not without compassion towards His children and therefore He, too, is affected by our choices - good or bad.
I know in my personal life, I saw some of the greatest moves of God when I needed Him to get me out of trouble.
That's why we should never look at life through the eyes of hopelessness. God knew the wrong turns you would make before you made them. He also made a way through the valley of those choices. So trust His wisdom, depend on His power, and hope in His grace!

Hebrew name for God meaning the God who sees me. He saw Hagar and sees us too.
Genesis 16:7 And the angel of the LORD found her by a fountain of water in the wilderness, by the fountain in the way to Shur.16:8 And he said, Hagar, Sarai's maid, whence camest thou? and whither wilt thou go? And she said, I flee from the face of my mistress Sarai.16:9 And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Return to thy mistress, and submit thyself under her hands.16:10 And the angel of the LORD said unto her, I will multiply thy seed exceedingly, that it shall not be numbered for multitude.16:11 And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Behold, thou art with child and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ishmael; (because the LORD hath heard thy affliction).16:12 And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.16:13 (And she called the name of the LORD that spake unto her, Thou God seest me): for she said, Have I also here looked after him that seeth me?
Psalm 34:18 The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.
Psalm 147:3 He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.

Psalm 147:10-11 What God Takes Pleasure In
He does not delight in the strength of the horse; He takes no pleasure in the legs of a man. The Lord takes pleasure in those who fear Him, in who hope in His mercy. Psalm 147:10-11 People will often get very excited in seeing someone or some animal with great strength or abilities. Seeing someone with extraordinary strength does not occur very often, so when it does people take pleasure in…

Praying The Psalms - December 14, 2023
In Jesus, I take refuge and behold His face. (Psalm 11:1,7)
The Word of the Lord is as pure as silver tried in a furnace seven times. (Psalm 12:6)
I trust in Your loving kindness, my heart rejoices in Your salvation. (Psalm 13:5)
I sing to the Lord because He has dealt bountifully with me. (Psalm 13:7)
I dwell on Your holy hill, Lord Jesus, and abide in Your tent, since You are my righteousness and I carry Your Word in my heart.  (Psalm 15:1,2)
LORD, you alone are my inheritance, my cup of blessing. You guard all that is mine. (Psalm 16:5)
The purpose you have given me is a pleasant calling, I have a most excellent heritage. (Psalm 16:6)
I will bless the LORD who guides me; even at night my heart instructs me. (Psalm 16:7)
I know Jesus is always with me. I will not be shaken, for He is dwelling in me. (Psalm 16:8)
Praise the Lord!  Great is my Lord and abundant in strength; His understanding is infinite.  (Psalm 147:1,5)
Why pray the Psalm scriptures out loud?
It is hard to think about something other than what you are talking about.  Praying out loud the scriptures solves the problem of the wandering mind.  -- spoken words speak to the soul and have the power of raising thoughts in the soul. The Psalm scriptures speak of God in the Highest manner which most fully expresses the power and presence of God.
