Are You as WISE as You SHOULD Be? Here's How You CAN Be!
Do you think of yourself as wise? Do you know a lot of wise people? How can you tell? The dictionary says that being wise is “having or showing experience, knowledge, and good judgment” (which makes me think of the old saying: “Good decisions come from experience; experience comes from making bad decisions.”) Some would say that being wise is just applying common sense, but a modern Proverb…

Why is giving and receiving honor important?
Tumblr media
2 Peter 1:17
when he received honor and glory from God the Father. The voice from the majestic glory of God said to him, “This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy.”
And he received honor and glory from God the Father when God’s glorious, majestic voice called down from heaven, “This is my beloved Son; I am fully pleased with him.”
Hebrews 2:9
What we do see is Jesus, who for a little while was given a position “a little lower than the angels”; and because he suffered death for us, he is now “crowned with glory and honor.” Yes, by God’s grace, Jesus tasted death for everyone. What we do see is Jesus, who “for a little while was made lower than the angels” and now is “crowned with glory and honor” because he suffered death for us.
John 8:49-50
“No,” Jesus said, “I have no demon in me. For I honor my Father—and you dishonor me. And though I have no wish to glorify myself, God wants to glorify me. Let him be the judge.”
God and Jesus set the example of the importance of giving and receiving honor. They declare it good and important.
1 Corinthians 6:20
for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.
Romans 13:7
Give to everyone what you owe them: Pay your taxes and import duties, and give respect and honor to all to whom it is due.
1 Peter 2:17
Show respect for everyone. Love your Christian brothers and sisters. Fear God. Show respect for the king.
Giving honor is acknowledging how we value and respect others.
Philippians 2:3
Don’t be selfish; don’t live to make a good impression on others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourself.
Luke 14:11
For the proud will be humbled, but the humble will be honored.
Proverbs 18:12
Haughtiness goes before destruction; humility precedes honor.
Matthew 23:11-12
The greatest among you must be a servant. But those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.
Giving and receiving honor is a part of Christian humility, because it seeks to lift someone else up, sometimes at our own expense.
Psalm 34:3
Come, let us tell of the Lord’s greatness; let us exalt his name together.
Psalm 107:32
Let them exalt him publicly before the congregation and before the leaders of the nation.
Romans 12:10
Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other.
1 Corinthians 8:1
Now let’s talk about food that has been sacrificed to idols. You think that everyone should agree with your perfect knowledge. While knowledge may make us feel important, it is love that really builds up the church.
Honoring God and one another unifies us. It transforms selfishness into selflessness.

Holy, loving, faithful, gracious, compassionate, merciful, longsuffering God, is righteous, just and true, and so are all His judgments, in all the earth.
Thus says the Lord God: "I will take also one of the highest branches of the high cedar and set it out. I will crop off from the topmost of its young twigs a tender one, and will plant it on a high and prominent mountain. On the mountain height of Israel I will plant it; and it will bring forth boughs, and bear fruit, and be a majestic cedar. Under it will dwell birds of every sort; in the shadow of its branches they will dwell."
"And all the trees of the field shall know that I, the LORD, have brought down the high tree and exalted the low tree, dried up the green tree and made the dry tree flourish; I, the LORD, have spoken and have done it." (Ezekiel 17:22-24)
"Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty! Just and true are Your ways, O King of the saints! Who shall not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy. For all nations shall come and worship before You, for Your judgments have been manifested." (Revelation 15:3-4)

28 When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep:
29 When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:

Q. What should I look for in a Christian boyfriend?
A. The Bible doesn’t mention the kind of dating relationships we see today. Rather, in terms of romantic relationships, it focuses on principles for marriage. Dating today is used as a way to evaluate whether the man and woman would be good marriage partners. Thus it follows that a Christian boyfriend should be, first and foremost, a man you think would make a good Christian husband. A Christian woman should be looking for someone who is serious about God and serious about his relationship with her. Anybody can say they love Jesus or that they’re a Christian. How do you know, when you’re falling in love with someone, that he is genuine?
The Bible is full of verses that describe what a Christian man should be like, verses that are helpful and trustworthy for a woman who is evaluating a potential husband. The following are some guidelines based on those verses. A Christian boyfriend should be
Humble and teachable: The Bible tells us that a righteous man, or a wise man, will take instruction gladly, even when it hurts him (Psalm 141:5; Proverbs 9:9, 12:15). A righteous man evidences a willingness to be corrected by Scripture and a tendency to love and listen to those who can teach him from the Scripture.
Honest: Do his actions agree with his words? The Bible says that a righteous man is characterized by honesty in his personal and business dealings (Ephesians 4:28). In addition, when he makes a promise, a Christian man keeps his promise, even when it hurts (Psalm 15:2-5). In short, his character should be one of integrity.
Selfless: The Bible speaks specifically to husbands when it tells them to love their wives as they love their own bodies, just like Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her (Ephesians 5:25-28). A Christian boyfriend should begin to exhibit this kind of care and love for his girlfriend long before marriage. Love is easy in the romantic beginning stages, but a Christian boyfriend should be the kind of man whose behavior and intentions will be loving in all kinds of circumstances (1 John 3:18).
Able and willing to provide: The Bible says that a man who doesn’t provide for his family is worse than an unbeliever (1 Timothy 5:8). Provision doesn’t necessarily mean bringing in a lot of money. The issue is whether he takes responsibility for the welfare of his wife and children. It is important for women to grasp the seriousness of this verse. A man who doesn’t want to provide is very hard for a woman to respect, and if a wife struggles to respect her husband, marital troubles will go beyond the material. A woman’s respect for her husband and a man’s love for his wife are interdependent and life-giving to a marriage (Ephesians 5:25-32).
Willing to proactively protect: Both physically and emotionally, women tend to be weaker and more easily hurt than men. They need to be understood and protected and cared for in a proactive way. A good Christian boyfriend is a man who will look out for and care for his girlfriend and carry this passion for protecting her into marriage (1 Peter 3:7).
Also, here are some negative things to watch out for: materialism (1 John 2:15-16; 1 Timothy 6:10), lying (Proverbs 12:22;19:22), sexual unfaithfulness (Ecclesiastes 7:26; Proverbs 7) and poor treatment of family members, especially his mother (Proverbs 15:20; 19:26; 20:20; 23:22). Usually, a man’s treatment of his mother is a good indication of how he will treat his wife. Also, watch out for irrationally and controlling or jealous tendencies, as these often lead to violence (Proverbs 6:34; 27:4).
Finally, a Christian boyfriend is one with whom a woman is evenly matched. First, in the spiritual sense – a couple’s relationship with God should be the primary factor in any relationship, and they should be matched in that regard. Believers are commanded to marry other believers (2 Corinthians 6:14), so there is no reason to be dating an unbeliever. But a couple should also be evenly matched in the more practical aspects, having compatible temperaments, similar energy levels, and shared life-goals and interests. These things add tremendously to happiness in a relationship.
In addition to all this, if a man has a good sense of humor and a steady, cheerful disposition, this is wonderfully encouraging for his wife. Nobody can be “up” all the time, but a man who is characterized by the peace and joy of the Spirit is a real catch. Life is hard, and marriage is hard, too. There will be times of sadness, and there will be conflict. Because of this, a cheerful, encouraging spouse is a real blessing (Proverbs 16:24; 17:22; 15:30).

New International Version Hope in the LORD and keep his way. He will exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are destroyed, you will see it. New Living Translation Put your hope in the LORD. Travel steadily along his path. He will honor you by giving you the land. You will see the wicked destroyed.
King James Bible Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.
Job 17:9 The righteous also shall hold on his way, and he that hath clean hands shall be stronger and stronger.
Pulpit CommentaryVerse 34. - Wait on the lord (comp. vers. 2, 5, 7; and Psalm 27:14; Psalm 62:5; Psalm 130:5; Proverbs 20:22). The injunction is repeated so often because of man's extreme impatience and unwillingness to "tarry the Lord's leisure" (Prayer-book Version of Psalm 27:16) trustfully and confidently. And keep his way. The way in which he would have them walk - the way of righteousness (comp. ver. 3). And he shall exalt thee to inherit the land (see ver. 29, and the comment ad loc.). When the ungodly are cut off, thou shalt see it (comp. Psalm 52:5, 6; Psalm 91:8). Doubtless with some satisfaction. As the "ungodly" spoken of are employed in watching for an occasion to "slay" the righteous (ver. 32), these last can scarcely witness their removal from the world by God's providence without a feeling of relief.

Let's see what Jesus shows us about friendship
and how we're supposed to treat one another.
📖John 11:35-36
35 Jesus wept.
36 Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him!
❣️This is when Lazarus was dead and buried. I think Jesus showed us he grieves over his friend. Whether it be that he didn't know for sure he could raise him up or he needed man to see grief is a part of life.
❣️Below is significant scripture for me. It was told to me in at a much needed time in my life. I've shared it with many others. No matter what it may look like, God has full control. This is assurance that He knows it seems strange. But if you're with Him, it's all for His glory.
📖1 Peter 4:12-14
12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.
❣️We're supposed to encourage, teach, hold each other accountable, uplift, assemble together, confess and pray for each other.
📖Proverbs 27:17-20
17 Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.
18 Whoso keepeth the fig tree shall eat the fruit thereof: so he that waiteth on his master shall be honoured.
19 As in water face answereth to face, so the heart of man to man.
20 Hell and destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied
❣️Again it's not all about you!
📖Philippians 2:4
4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
❣️How we should treat one another.
📖Ephesians 4:32
32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
❣️Here God tells us the second most important commandment that He’s given us.
📖John 13:34-35
34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
❣️We're to help those less fortunate and those in need around us. Whether you like them or not.
📖1 John 3:17-18
17 But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
18 My little children, 13 Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard.
📖Proverbs 21:13
13 Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard.
❣️Provide for your own.
📖1 Timothy 5:8
8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
❣️Don't give up on others. Continue to give.
📖Galatians 6:9-10
9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
❣️We're really doing it for Jesus!
📖Matthew 25:40
40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
❣️Gathering or Assembling together.
📖1 Thessalonians 5:11
11 Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.
❣️You never hurt yourself when you give.
God always provides!
📖Proverbs 28:27
27 He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.
❣️So important to remember!
You didn't get where you are without God's hand in your life. So be God's helping hand in helping another make it home.
📖Ephesians 2:8-10
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
God is good all the time!
All the time God is good!

My son, if you receive my words and treasure my commands, Turning your ear to wisdom, inclining your heart to understanding; Yes, if you call to intelligence, and to understanding raise your voice; If you seek her like silver, and like hidden treasures search her out:
Then will you understand the fear of the LORD; the knowledge of God you will find; For the LORD gives wisdom, from his mouth come knowledge and understanding; He has counsel in store for the upright, he is the shield of those who walk honestly, Guarding the paths of justice, protecting the way of his pious ones.
Then you will understand rectitude and justice, honesty, every good path.

Gospel Matthew 19:27-29 You who have followed me will receive a hundred times more.
Peter said to Jesus, “We have given up everything and followed you. What will there be for us?” Jesus said to them, “Amen, I say to you that you who have followed me, in the new age, when the Son of Man is seated on his throne of glory, will yourselves sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. And everyone who has given up houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands for the sake of my name will receive a hundred times more, and will inherit eternal life.”

Tuesday, Fourteenth Week in Ordinary Time
(Liturgical Colour: White: A (1))
(Readings for the feria (Tuesday))
(There is a choice today between the readings for the ferial day (Tuesday) and those for the memorial. The ferial readings are recommended unless pastoral reasons suggest otherwise)
First Reading Genesis 32:23-33 You shall be spoken of as Israel, because you have contended with God and have prevailed.
In the course of the night, Jacob arose, took his two wives, with the two maidservants and his eleven children, and crossed the ford of the Jabbok. After he had taken them across the stream and had brought over all his possessions, Jacob was left there alone. Then some man wrestled with him until the break of dawn. When the man saw that he could not prevail over him, he struck Jacob’s hip at its socket, so that the hip socket was wrenched as they wrestled. The man then said, “Let me go, for it is daybreak.” But Jacob said, “I will not let you go until you bless me.” The man asked, “What is your name?” He answered, “Jacob.” Then the man said, “You shall no longer be spoken of as Jacob, but as Israel, because you have contended with divine and human beings and have prevailed.” Jacob then asked him, “Do tell me your name, please.” He answered, “Why should you want to know my name?” With that, he bade him farewell. Jacob named the place Peniel, “Because I have seen God face to face,” he said, “yet my life has been spared.”
At sunrise, as he left Penuel, Jacob limped along because of his hip. That is why, to this day, the children of Israel do not eat the sciatic muscle that is on the hip socket, inasmuch as Jacob’s hip socket was struck at the sciatic muscle.
The Word of the Lord
R/ Thanks be to God.
Responsorial Psalm Psalm 17:1b, 2-3, 6-7ab, 8b and 15
R/ In justice, I shall behold your face, O Lord.
Hear, O LORD, a just suit; attend to my outcry; hearken to my prayer from lips without deceit.
R/ In justice, I shall behold your face, O Lord.
From you let my judgment come; your eyes behold what is right. Though you test my heart, searching it in the night, though you try me with fire, you shall find no malice in me.
R/ In justice, I shall behold your face, O Lord.
I call upon you, for you will answer me, O God; incline your ear to me; hear my word. Show your wondrous mercies, O savior of those who flee from their foes.
R/ In justice, I shall behold your face, O Lord.
Hide me in the shadow of your wings. I in justice shall behold your face; on waking, I shall be content in your presence.
R/ In justice, I shall behold your face, O Lord.
Gospel Acclamation John 10:14
Alleluia, alleluia. I am the good shepherd, says the Lord; I know my sheep, and mine know me. Alleluia, alleluia.
Gospel Matthew 9:32-38 The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few.
A demoniac who could not speak was brought to Jesus, and when the demon was driven out the mute man spoke. The crowds were amazed and said, “Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel.” But the Pharisees said, “He drives out demons by the prince of demons.” Jesus went around to all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the Gospel of the Kingdom, and curing every disease and illness. At the sight of the crowds, his heart was moved with pity for them because they were troubled and abandoned, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; so ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest.”

+ 2 Timothy 2:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

VERSE OF THE DAY
========================
+ 1 John 3:17-18 But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but indeed and in truth.

SUBJECT: Seeing & Helping Everyone
=========================
** SAY THIS BEFORE YOU READ; HERE’S SOME CHRISTIAN TRUTHS **
I AM CARING FOR OTHERS
I AM FILLED WITH JOY
I AM KIND
I AM FAITHFUL

THOUGHTS:
=======================
Caring for someone is the most easiest thing we can do , I for one love to feed the homeless , I use to make sandwich’s and passed out water bottle with my devotional included to the homeless , but they told me they didn’t like the sandwiches and that discouraged me a lot to be honest, I stop doing it because I didn’t know what else to give them and so now I randomly see a homeless people I would go buy them food an bring it back to them , and that I feel is helpful not the way I wanted but it’s me showing I care.
Alot of people don’t like to help out others because they feel it’s taking away from them but honestly it’s not this is our way of showing we can care about someone and we aren’t looking at our pocket books , or wallets we are looking to help someone as if this was us that needed help what would you want someone to do for you if you needed help , we would want them to help us and to give us what we need and we all need food and water and those are essentials we all can take care of.
The Bible tells us this about caring about our fellow man
* Philippians 2:4 Let each of you look not only to his interests but also to the interests of others.
* Ephesians 4:32 Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
* John 13:34-35 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this, all people will know you are my disciples if you love one another.”
The Bible tells us not to look at our interests but at the interests of others. To be kind and tenderhearted, a lot of us need to ask God to help us to be more like him, to be compassionate and loving; the loving part is something we are missing, maybe because we feel that we don’t have to be this way or maybe we feel that people aren’t kind to me why do I have to do it, we do this because this is something Christ commanded us to do, we as believers must do precisely what he asked because if we say we love Christ we will do like he ask “John 14:15  If ye love me, keep my commandments.”
I love caring for other people, and caring for others is tough, but look at it this way: if you were in need, you were without; what would you want someone to do for you? Would you want them to care enough to help you or to look over you? The Bible speaks on this as well in Proverbs 21:13. Whoever closes his ear to the cry of the poor will himself call out and not be answered. “
This is not saying that you're going to be poor because you didn’t help, but this is saying that one day you are going to need help, and no one will hear you or the lord might see to it that you will need help, and no one will see about you. Because of the way you have treated someone else, we talked about reaping and sowing, and this is the very case; we get what we sow if we sow a harvest of bad conduct and other things, that’s what we will get, but if we are always seeing about someone and helping others God will make sure we are taken care of, reaping and sowing can be seen in every area of our life, what we give to other will be the same measure we have given us.
One thing we talked about this week is pleasing God; not only can we please God with what we do, but we can please him by not pleasing the flesh, and we do this by denying our flesh every chance we get because some things our flesh wants us to do will be the total opposite of what God wants for us right now in our life
Romans 8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
We no longer should be trying to please our flesh; when we were in the world, yea it was something we did a lot because we didn't know any better, but now, being a child of God, we don’t live this way “Romans 7:5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death. “
This brings us to something else we discussed this week: just because we can do something doesn’t mean we should do it; just because I can do something of the flesh doesn't mean I should feed my flesh; we should always try to feed our spirit man, not our fleshly desires.
1 Corinthians 10:23, you say, “I am allowed to do anything,”—but not everything is good for you. You say, “I am allowed to do anything,”—but not everything is beneficial.
Everything we do in the flesh wont benefit our spirit man it won’t benefit our relationship with God a lot of us don’t take into count that somethings we do creates a bridge between us and God ,and every day I’m asking him father if I did anything if I said anything forgive me lord help me to make you happy help me to please you because our actions can show something else and cause us to have a problem with hearing God , because our sins doesn’t draw us closer to God it draws us away from him , and when this happens God won’t be a permanent residents he will start to become a visitor because our heart no longer will want the things of God.
Our heart will start to want the flesh and we can’t serve two masters, but God desires to be a permeant resident , he desires to be there and stay there but our actions can show we don’t want him there, every day we have the choice to do things to show we want God and we have a chance every day to show who we truly love ,do we love him or do we love our own selves more , and God want us to love our sleeves by giving more of our selves to him , by spending time with him.
***Today, we learned a lot from our week; our devotional this week was about spending time with God and about how our actions can show something different, which is more of the flesh; we can do whatever we want; God gave us free will but to live in a life of Christ to live in the light of God we must obey him and please him, yes we can smoke we can drink, we can fornicate sure but does those things please God ? it doesn’t.
1 John 3:17-18 But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but indeed and in truth.
A lot of times, we look at things that we like to do and say, this can’t hurt God; no, it can’t, but it hurts our relationship with him, every day we should want to build a relationship with him, not tearing ours down and that’s what we do when we choose sin. Choose God today and pick the things of the spirit not things of the flesh and remember to love one another always . ©Seer~ Prophetess Lee

PRAYER
========================
Heavenly Father, we thank you for today; we ask that you show us how to hear you when you speak. Lord, give us the strength to care more for others. Lord, help us apply this devotion to our lives. Help us have a better week than we had; we give you every situation and problem, and we ask you to walk with us through our hardest times. Lord, whatever we do that’s not of you, please show us we are so grateful for your mercy and grace. In Jesus' Name Amen

Trust in the Lord with All Your Heart
1 My son, do not forget my law, But let your heart keep my commands; 2 For length of days and long life And peace they will add to you. 3 Let not mercy and truth forsake you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart, 4 And so find favor and high esteem In the sight of God and man. 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. 7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil. 8 It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones. 9 Honor the Lord with your possessions, And with the firstfruits of all your increase; 10 So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine. 11 My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, Nor detest His correction; 12 For whom the Lord loves He corrects, Just as a father the son in whom he delights.
Blessed Is the One Who Finds Wisdom
13 Happy is the man who finds wisdom, And the man who gains understanding; 14 For her proceeds are better than the profits of silver, And her gain than fine gold. 15 She is more precious than rubies, And all the things you may desire cannot compare with her. 16 Length of days is in her right hand, In her left hand riches and honor. 17 Her ways are ways of pleasantness, And all her paths are peace. 18 She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her, And happy are all who retain her. 19 The Lord by wisdom founded the earth; By understanding He established the heavens; 20 By His knowledge the depths were broken up, And clouds drop down the dew. 21 My son, let them not depart from your eyes-- Keep sound wisdom and discretion; 22 So they will be life to your soul And grace to your neck. 23 Then you will walk safely in your way, And your foot will not stumble. 24 When you lie down, you will not be afraid; Yes, you will lie down and your sleep will be sweet. 25 Do not be afraid of sudden terror, Nor of trouble from the wicked when it comes; 26 For the Lord will be your confidence, And will keep your foot from being caught. 27 Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, When it is in the power of your hand to do so. 28 Do not say to your neighbor, "Go, and come back, And tomorrow I will give it," When you have it with you. 29 Do not devise evil against your neighbor, For he dwells by you for safety's sake. 30 Do not strive with a man without cause, If he has done you no harm. 31 Do not envy the oppressor, And choose none of his ways; 32 For the perverse person is an abomination to the Lord, But His secret counsel is with the upright. 33 The curse of the Lord is on the house of the wicked, But He blesses the home of the just. 34 Surely He scorns the scornful, But gives grace to the humble. 35 The wise shall inherit glory, But shame shall be the legacy of fools. — Proverbs 3 | New King James Version (NKJV) The Holy Bible; New King James Version®. What should have our attention?
Tumblr media
Ecclesiastes 7:13
Accept the way God does things, for who can straighten what he has made crooked?
John 5:19
So Jesus explained, “I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself. He does only what he sees the Father doing. Whatever the Father does, the Son also does.”
We should pay attention to what God is doing and the way he is working in our lives and in the world around us.
Hebrews 2:3-4
So what makes us think we can escape if we ignore this great salvation that was first announced by the Lord Jesus himself and then delivered to us by those who heard him speak? And God confirmed the message by giving signs and wonders and various miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit whenever he chose.
Luke 8:18
So pay attention to how you hear. To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given. But for those who are not listening, even what they think they understand will be taken away from them.
1 Corinthians 2:2
For I decided that while I was with you I would forget everything except Jesus Christ, the one who was crucified.
We should pay attention to the message Jesus has for us. What Jesus says is reinforced by who he is—God’s Son. If Jesus was not God’s Son, he would be incapable of raising us from the dead. He would have no power to save us and take us to heaven. Think of the most important person on earth. If that person wanted to talk with you, would you listen? Would you give him or her your full attention? How much more important is the Son of God!
Psalm 119:78
I will concentrate on your commandments.
2 Peter 1:19
Because of that experience, we have even greater confidence in the message proclaimed by the prophets. You must pay close attention to what they wrote, for their words are like a lamp shining in a dark place—until the Day dawns, and Christ the Morning Star shines in your hearts.
God’s Word deserves our attention. Through his Word, God speaks to us and brings us life that last forever.
Proverbs 16:20
Those who listen to instruction will prosper; those who trust the Lord will be joyful.
Proverbs 19:27
If you stop listening to instruction, my child, you will turn your back on knowledge.
Proverbs 22:17
Listen to the words of the wise; apply your heart to my instruction.
Proverbs 5:13
Oh, why didn’t I listen to my teachers? Why didn’t I pay attention to my instructors?
Proverbs 5:1
My son, pay attention to my wisdom; listen carefully to my wise counsel.
It’s essential to pay attention to the instruction we receive from God’s Word and from wise counselors or teachers. If we don’t, we may be turning our backs on God himself.
Matthew 7:15
Beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep but are really vicious wolves.
Matthew 16:11-12
Why can’t you understand that I’m not talking about bread? So again I say, “Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.’” Then at last they understood that he wasn’t speaking about the yeast in bread, but about the deceptive teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
We must be alert to the deception of false prophets and false teachers, those who twist God’s Word to make it say whatever they want. Pay attention to their wiles, but not their words. If a person is not speaking for God, we should not accept that person’s teaching as from God.
Mark 13:32-33
However, no one knows the day or hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself. Only the Father knows. And since you don’t know when that time will come, be on guard! Stay alert!
Luke 21:31, 34-36
In the same way, when you see all these things taking place, you can know that the Kingdom of God is near . . . Watch out! Don’t let your hearts be dulled by carousing and drunkenness, and by the worries of this life. Don’t let that day catch you unaware, like a trap. For that day will come upon everyone living on the earth. Keep alert at all times. And pray that you might be strong enough to escape these coming horrors and stand before the Son of Man.
1 Thessalonians 5:4-6
But you aren’t in the dark about these things, dear brothers and sisters, and you won’t be surprised when the day of the Lord comes like a thief. For you are all children of the light and of the day; we don’t belong to darkness and night. So be on your guard, not asleep like the others. Stay alert and be clearheaded.
Be prepared for the day when Jesus promised he would return again by paying attention to the way you live. Live as if he is coming back today.
Ephesians 6:18
Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.
Colossians 4:2
Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart.
Matthew 26:41
Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak!
Your prayer life deserves your focused attention. That’s how you best connect to God himself.
1 Corinthians 16:13
Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong.
1 Timothy 4:16
Keep a close watch on how you live and on your teaching. Stay true to what is right for the sake of your own salvation and the salvation of those who hear you.
1 Timothy 4:8
Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come.
The growth and strengthening of our spiritual lives deserves our attention. If it pays to exercise our bodies so we keep them healthy, how much more it pays to build our souls so they are healthy.

DAY AND HOUR, NOT KNOWN? May 15, 2026
God forewarned His people of the delusive belief that His Second Advent will be in secret, for these are the perverted claims of false prophets and teachers.
MATTHEW 24:24, 26
(24) For there shall arise false Christs, and FALSE PROPHETS… they shall DECEIVE the very elect.
(26) …if they shall say unto you… he is in the SECRET chambers; BELIEVE IT NOT.
Christ’s disciples have inquired the definite time of Christ’s coming, for they knew that God has appointed the day of His return (Matthew 24:3, 4).
Moreover, Christ was being likened to a goodman who has gone a long journey (Mark 13:32–34) and will definitely come home on the day He appointed.
PROVERBS 7:19, 20
(19) For the GOODMAN is not at home, he is gone a long JOURNEY:
(20) …and will COME home at the DAY APPOINTED.
The appointed time of Christ’s return was being correlated to the summer, which can be known, for it precisely occurs in the appointed season (Matthew 24:32, 33).
Herein, God assures His people to bestow upon them the knowledge of knowing the set time of His return
(1 Timothy 6:14, 15).
Thus, God regarded His people as wise servants (Matthew 24:40, 45) and the children of light, for they were not ignorant of His appointed time.
On the other hand, the evil servants, who were the children of darkness, contend to believe that Christ’s return will be delayed and will not be known (Matthew 24:48, 50-51).
1 THESSALONIANS 5:2, 4-5
(2) For yourselves know perfectly that the DAY of the Lord so COMETH as a THIEF in the night.
(4) But ye, brethren, are NOT in DARKNESS, that that DAY should OVERTAKE you as a THIEF.
(5) Ye are all the children of LIGHT… we are NOT of the NIGHT, NOR of DARKNESS.
Christ’s return will only overtake as a thief in the night to those who were in darkness (1 Thessalonians 5:2, 4-5), for they have not watched, refusing to believe the undeniable truth of God’s appointed time.
MATTHEW 24:42 WATCH therefore: for ye KNOW NOT what hour your LORD doth COME.
REVEVLATION 3:3 …If therefore thou shalt NOT WATCH, I will COME on thee as a THIEF, and thou shalt NOT KNOW what HOUR I will COME upon thee.
Similarly, those who knew not the coming of the flood in the days of Noah have suffered God’s retribution, for they mocked the message of God concerning His appointed time (Genesis 6:3).
MATTHEW 24:37-39
(37) But as the DAYS of NOE were, so shall also the COMING of the SON of man be.
(38) …they were eating and drinking… until the day that NOE ENTERED into the ARK,
(39) And KNEW NOT until the flood came, and TOOK THEM all away…
God esteemed the fowls of the air, who knew the appointed time of their coming, as wiser than those people who firmly argue that Christ’s return has no definite time.
JEREMIAH 8:7 Yea, the stork in the heaven KNOWETH her APPOINTED TIMES… observe the TIME of their COMING; but my PEOPLE KNOW NOT the JUDGMENT of the LORD.
ACTS 17:30, 31
(30) And the times of this ignorance God winked at…
(31) Because he hath APPOINTED a DAY, in the which he will JUDGE the WORLD in righteousness…
Israel has been terribly destroyed, for they intentionally denied the appointed time of God’s visitation (Luke 19:41-44).
586 BCE – FIRST Destruction, 70 CE – SECOND Destruction
BY USING CONCATENATION:
586 + 7 = 5867 (flipped figure of 5786)
The Hebrew year 5786 corresponds to the year 2026 in the Gregorian Calendar, which is the exact year of Christ’s return.
This will likewise be the cause for the global destruction in these last days considering that Christ’s return was being typified in the first and second destructions of Jerusalem.
MARK 1:15 The TIME IS FULFILLED, and the kingdom of God is at hand: REPENT ye, and BELIEVE the gospel.
TO GOD BE THE GLORY!
