Proverbs 27:2. “Let another praise you, and not your own mouth; A stranger, and not your own lips.” Proverbs 16:24 (NLT). “Kind words are like honey— sweet to the soul and healthy for the body.”

“Do you feel awkward when someone compliments you?”

“Think about a time when you received praise from a parent, a teacher, or an employer. How did you feel? Did it make you glad or uncomfortable? For many people, praise is nearly as difficult to handle as criticism. Because God’s Word instructs us to be humble (Matthew 18:4; Philippians 2:3), we may sometimes feel confused about how to receive compliments. Here are three ways to respond:

1. Acknowledge the comment by thanking the person. Don’t explain why you are unworthy of praise or try to deflect such kindness. The Lord is using that person to bless you!

2. Identify and acknowledge the character quality that led the other person to commend you. Perhaps he or she sees something you’ve missed (and that God wants you to be aware of). Remember, believers are called to “encourage one another and build one another up” in the Lord (1 Thessalonians 5:11).

3. Share what the encouragement means to you personally. Scripture says that “pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones” (Proverbs 16:24). Tell the other person how much you’ve been blessed by his or her attention and care. After all, praise can go both ways.”

Philippians 2:3. “Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves;”

how do you know for sure you won't end up in hell?

Hello! I saw your other message assuring me not to worry about responding because of the grieving process. Thank you for your kindness and thoughtfulness—it truly means a lot. May God bless your sweet soul. 🩷

It’s comforting to know that, because of God’s promises in the Bible, there’s assurance that we won’t end up in Hell. Many verses speak of salvation and bring peace. Sometimes, due to severe trauma, trusting in that love and safety can be difficult, but it’s a journey to trust in what God has promised.

When doubt about salvation or God’s promises arises, the best remedy is prayer and spending time in the Word. Trusting God fully and consistently is one of the hardest parts of the Christian walk, and it’s a lifelong journey. If doubt about salvation occurs, please know that it’s a normal part of the walk and can be overcome.

This world is filled with evil, and Satan continuously works to shake that faith. We face attacks, criticism, and feelings of shame and unworthiness. Yet, the Bible reveals God’s character, and when we trust in what He has said, there is assurance of salvation.

I’ll share some Scripture that speaks to our salvation under the cut, so as not to flood anyone’s timeline. I hope this can be helpful, beloved!

Then he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

Proverbs 27:23-24 (KJV): 23 Be thou diligent to know the state of thy flocks, and look well to thy herds. 24 For riches are not forever: and doth the crown endure to every generation? Proverbs 27:23-24 (AMP): 23 Be diligent to know the state of your flocks, and look well to your herds; 24 For riches are not forever; does a crown endure to all generations?

Thought for the Day

Verse 23 - Although these verses were addressed to farmers, we can relate to them today in regard to our businesses. We are to take responsibility and know the state of our affairs. Large flocks of sheep and goats made a man wealthy in ancient Israel. This proverb advised a wealthy man to personally know the condition of his flocks and ascertain that his overseers fulfilled their responsibilities properly. They were to protect and keep count of them, taking special care of the sick, injured, and pregnant ones; paying special attention to the babies.

Having riches or employment now does not guarantee we will always have them. We need to give diligent care and management to our livelihood. Romans 12:11 says, "Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord." Negligence creates problems that can lead to severe financial difficulties. Many factors can lead to bankruptcy, such as over-extending oneself (due to greed or lack of sound business principles) or extenuating circumstances beyond one's control. Sometimes it is not people's fault that they are forced into bankruptcy since they are victims of illness, tragedy, or uncontrollable disasters. Despite this, many of the bankruptcies which are filed today could have been avoided if diligence had been practiced. "He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich" (Proverbs 10:4).

Verse 24 - Just as a king will not rule throughout every generation, riches do not last forever. There is a good deal of truth to the statement, "money talks: it says 'good-bye'." Money says "good-bye" in numerous ways, such as in poor planning for the future. As people age, their work capacity diminishes, which usually decreases their income. Without wise and diligent care of their finances, people may spend all their money when they are young and leave themselves with nothing to live on when they are old. If we heed the Lord and apply good business principles in regard to our finances, we can rest assured that we will have enough when we are in our senior years. Living for God is one of the best insurance policies anyone can have. He can provide what no human agency can, such as good health. He promises that the righteous will still bear fruit in old age (Psalm 92:12-14), meaning that they will remain productive. We must diligently take up our responsibilities if we desire God's blessings, and not forget to help others along the way. If we bless others, God will return those blessings to us when we are in need.

Prayer Devotional for the Day

Dear heavenly Father, thank you for Your abundant provision in my life. I am grateful, not only for financial provision, but for the spiritual blessings that You have also given me. I do appreciate daily strength and health so that I am able to be diligent in all of my affairs. Give me wisdom so that I might prepare for the future properly. Ultimately, my faith and trust are in You, as You hold the future; however, may I not neglect those things in the natural that need to be done, so that I am not ill-prepared. Lord, also, I do not want to forget to give and help others along the way as well. May I be a good steward over all that You have given me. I ask this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. Broken, but not beyond repair...

I never imagined that at 45, having been married 24 years, and having spent 29 years in that same relationship, that I would be working through a divorce.  I have worked in the legal field helping others through their divorces for 27 years. The story of how I got here is not for all to know and certainly not something to share like this. It’s a story that affects many and, while their story is part of mine, that does not mean I have a right to air it all out.

A big part of my story began when I was 16. I had no clue who I was, where I was going, what I wanted to be, I was just a baby and knew one thing... I wanted out of where I was and I knew there had to be something better. What happened from here many would call a fairy tale. Much of it seemed that way. But as with any relationship, it had its problems, ups and downs. I’ve learned a lot in my life, most of it the hard way.  As with any relationship, we both could have and should have done better, worked harder for it. Life gets exhausting and people change. And while we can't change people or stop them from changing, we CAN control what we tolerate and how we respond to what’s in front of us.    

The last 3 years have been the toughest 3 years of my life.  It’s been trying on our family.  That’s a story and testimony for another blog... when the time is right.  Trauma affects our whole story and the stories of those closest to us and sometimes it even branches out further than that.  As Pastor Mike Todd has said, “what you don’t transform, you transfer.” Before you start a relationship, you should know your own identity or you will take on that of others and try to make them your own. Process your own trauma. You can't expect a good relationship if you don’t feel you can share your trauma because you've never faced it head on and you try to pretend it never happened. Get comfortable with yourself so that you can be vulnerable without fear of shame or embarrassment. It's hard to help someone through their trauma if you've never addressed your own. Faking it only causes bitterness, anger, anxiety, depression, stonewalling etc. and just as you can't control someone or change others, you can’t control their healing either, and you certainly won't help them when you ignore your own hurt. One thing I wish for every human, and I am still working on, is that we could all master the art of good communication. Listening more, talking less. Communicating expectations so assumptions don't leave one hurt unnecessarily. Sometimes a person just needs to know they are heard.

I've made poor choices, I'll continue to make poor choices. But I'm going to strive each day to make better choices. I'm going to try starting fresh and this time around, NOT do things out of order. I'm going to stay firm and grounded in Christ, so much that it spews out in everything I do and I will not be ashamed or embarrassed of what that looks like. I will love so hard that it makes others wonder where it comes from and plants a seed to be watered that has them seeking the Lord because they need that kind of joy in their life. I will forgive more as I also need forgiven and holding onto that seed of offense only allows a root of bitterness to grow. Life is painful. Words hurt. Life and death are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21) and it takes a lifetime of practice. Out of the heart the mouth speaks (Luke 6:45), which is why we need to check our hearts before we speak. 

Regret.... without the poor decisions I've made, I may never have come to know who I am, I wouldn't have some of the greatest things and experiences that I have had. While I have regret for any harm I may have done to others, and I am sad and even disappointed in myself for the way I have handled some things, I am not sure I would wish for things to have been different. In a perfect world, sure, but we live in a broken world and I'm going to pray that God will continue to make beauty from my ashes, even from the dumpster fires that I caused or fanned into flame. What I CAN do is, instead of focusing on what I did wrong or could have done better... repent, turn, start new, fresh, and try harder to simply be a better reflection of Christ today than I was yesterday. I know I will never regret following Him.

So, excuse me while I heal. It looks different for everyone and while this seems like a new life event as social media and public appearances paint a pretty picture, it may not be as fresh as the picture was painted. I'll likely not be on social media for a while other than to share an occasional Word from God with a picture of my coffee. I trust that those closest to me will reach out personally and directly. My profiles have my contact info in them. God is good, even when we aren't. Trust the process. Be willing to be refined in the fire. I promise, eternity with Christ is worth it. I was reading a few months ago in Isaiah and shared the following on social media:

“Studying this morning and as I hit Isaiah 38 and 39, I praised God for His reminder of the importance of humility, the dangers of pride, and that our actions have consequences. But most importantly, that EVEN when I suffer consequences, EVEN when things seem to go badly, EVEN in the midst of suffering... I will praise my God and thank Him for His love, correction, and grace. For His ways are higher than mine. Who am I to criticize His divine direction.”

I know who I am now. I am the daughter of the King Most High, a co-heir with Christ. I am chosen, forgiven, treasured, sought, beautiful, strong, flawless, never forsaken. I am His.

WHAT IS FRIENDSHIP AS A CHRISTIAN??

Friendship (by God’s definition) is: Proverbs 27:9 “Just as Lotions and fragrance gives delight, a sweet friendship refreshes the soul”

God calls friendships a relationship that is “sweet to the soul”, a pleasure that revitalizes you and energizes you. He makes many emphasis on this throughout the Bible, and shows us the blessings of Godly friendships, and the curses of ungodly ones...

So now I ask you, what kind of friendships do you have.

If you’re afraid that you’ll lose the ‘only’ friends you have when you commit closer to Christ, know that those aren’t your friends. Those are just people who will, inadvertently, pull you away from the Lord, and blunder your steel of faith, integrity, strength, loyalty, and holiness.

• Proverbs 27:17 “As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.”

If you’re afraid to share the Gospel with them, or feel you’re ostracized because you don’t ’conform to their beliefs’- that’s not your loss because you gained Christ. Friendships are relationships where purity, trust, love and understanding connects you, and if God is not the foundation and center of it, there will be constant strife- in spiritual, physical and emotional areas where God should be the healer of.

• Psalms 25:14 “Godly Friendships is for God’s worshippers. These are who he confides in.”

You can have friends from different backgrounds and beliefs, as you must love your neighbor and be kind to those who persecute you, or aren’t followers of Christ- be respectful of others and invite them to the Gospel, don’t force feed it- however you need to understand the spiritual parameters you border on, when you do this.

• 1 John 4:7-8: “Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.”

The type of insensitivity and tolerance you can build towards non-Godly conversations, and even suggestions on how to handle things that completely turn you away from God, is what you will need to prepare for. You can have disagreements and fights and take offenses, but how those are handled, and the effects it has on you, deeply reflects the spiritual realm, and the covenants you take on that aren’t promised in Christ.

• Jeremiah 9:4: “Be on guard against your friends. Do not trust the members of your own family. Every one of them cheats. Every friend tells lies.”

Following in Christ, is different to being a Disciple in Christ; friends of God or not, you must be patient, be forgiving, be humble, and be loving- “you cannot love Jesus, if you cannot love Judas.” The world loves to emphasize the ‘appreciation’ of difference and individuality, but once it’s mentioned, it’s something to take offense of- don’t be offended or offending because you have a life in Christ and that changes everything.

• Psalm 41:9: “Even my close friend, someone I trusted, has failed me. I even shared my bread with him

Surrounding yourself with God-filled friends, is not only crucial to the Gospel, but to your health, and happiness. A paralyzed man, in the book of Luke 5:17-26, was healed BASED ON HIS FRIEND’S FAITH! It is important who you surround yourself with, because Godly friends can bring anointings and miracles and insights you didn’t know you needed because God saw there was a place in your life he could work someone special in, with his Gifts- and you cannot be afraid to receive that if your only loss is the world.

• Proverbs 18:24 “Friends come and go, but a true friend [of God] sticks by you like family.”

  We never know how the enemy is going to attack. We can say we will be prepared, but we never know what he will do to confuse our lives; a lot of times, we see our lives, and we say my life is going good; or that we have nothing going on, and we think we are doing well and here  comes Satan like a storm he will cause us the most problems because he sees that we are moving differently now and that’s when he comes for anyone when we least expect, but we must be ready, and never leave a tiny inch of space for him to use against us because he will,

• Ephesians 4:27 and do not give the devil a foothold

 • 1 Peter 5:8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

  These verse sums up this whole devotional, and it's one we must keep close to us. We must be sober-minded and watchful because the enemy is like a roaring lion seeking someone to devour. He looks to devour our attention, relationship with God, destiny, and anything he can get his hands on. But we must be mindful that he is this way and not allow him in.

God asked him, “What have you been doing? “He said, “ The Lord said to Satan, “Where have you come from? “Satan answered the Lord, “From roaming throughout the earth, going back and forth on it.”

  He travels back and forth, seeking who he can change The devil is very strategic. He knows what will change us and what won't, what will pull us away and what won’t. We often think he doesn’t know that he's silly and lazy, but we must be cautious with what we do because we can leave ourselves open to one of his games. Jesus even said that even the elect would fall.

Matthew 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they should deceive the very elect

It doesn’t matter if you’re a prophet or a pastor; it doesn’t matter at all because Jesus said even the elect will be deceived. We all are subject to it if we don’t read our word, pray fast, and meditate; what I noticed is the moment we get so relaxed with our time with God, that’s when the enemy will steer, and that’s why every day we must submit to God and ask God to help us stay strong , every day I ask God to give me strength when I am weak because when we are weak, he is strong.

  Many think we are strong because the enemy isn’t coming after us. Still, the enemy will come after anyone at any time; he doesn’t need a reason. If he sees an opening, he will try to make us crumble. Still, the bible tells us, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

  We must be prepared in the spirit for this battle, and that means fasting, praying, and reading our word daily is something we must do; we think our hardest battle is someone at our job or the simple problems we have in our life; no, my friends our battle is with the spirits and things we can’t see, some of us don’t know anything about the spirit world because we think it’s not real but the spirit world is more real than what we see and if we aren’t careful we will fall prey to anything because we aren’t taking our walk serious.

  The word says we wrestle not against flesh and blood; but we are dealing with spiritual wickedness in high places that are ready to sift us like wheat if we aren’t careful, every day we must put on the armor of God because with the armor we can stand against anything.

  Verse 13: Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand

  It says to put on the armor of God so you can withstand the evil that’s in your day; a lot of us can’t fight back because we aren’t fighting with God's word; we are fighting with emotions and tears, but that’s not going to stop it, that’s not going to help at all but what will is when we do all to stand against it which his reading our word ,pray and fasting, the word of God says we don’t live by bread alone but every word that comes out the mouth of God we think food is what is keeping us going but no my friends the word of God is what’s keeping us going. A lot of us won’t spend any time in our word.

  Verse 18: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.

  This verse is telling us to stay mindful and alert, pray for all believers, and stay consistent with our prayer life; we must pray every day to fight the enemy because the days we feel we are too tired or can't are the days he will come for us when we are weak.

 ***Today, we learned about being prepared; we are prepared for a storm, we are prepared for financial issues, we are prepared for just about anything, but why aren’t we preparing to fight the enemy because some of us don’t believe he’s real and what we go through is because of him setting up traps, the enemy wants to trap us into doing things we shouldn’t and the only way we fall into those traps because we are weak.

 Verse 14: Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness.

  We can only stand when we put on the armor of God, the belt of truth, shoes of peace, the body armor of righteousness, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit; these are the things we need, and we can’t function without them, we are unprepared, and to be prepared we must equip these pieces of the armor every day if you feel you cant put them on or that you haven’t been putting them on ask God to show you how and he will. ©Seer~ Prophetess Lee

Heavenly Father, thank you for everything; forgive us of our sins, and help us be more like you. Help us to hear you when you speak. Forgive us for the sins we have done. Lord, we love you so much today, Father God. Help us put on the armor and equip us with everything. Lord, guide us on how to be mindful of everything we do. We give you our mind and heart, and we ask that you cover us in your blood, in Jesus Name, Amen

A MASTER/SERVANT RELATIONSHIP

9. “Exhort bondservants to be obedient to their own masters, to be well pleasing in all things, not answering back,

10. not pilfering [thieving], but showing all good fidelity [honesty], that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.”

Titus 2:9,10 (NKJV)

• If you are an employee under a  person or company, the Bible admonishes you, as a Christian, to be obedient to your master or employer.

- Not only that, but also, you should be well pleasing in all things, that is, you do your best to please your master (Titus 2:9).

- Not answering back: if you are being instructed, corrected or scolded, you should not talk back (Titus 2:9).

- Your obedience should not be to the masters who are good only, but froward or harsh masters as well.

18. “Servants be submissive to your masters with all fear, NOT ONLY TO THE GOOD AND GENTLE BUT ALSO TO THE HARSH.

19. For this is commendable, if because of conscience towards God one endures grief, suffering wrongfully.”

• You should do, whatever you do for your master, employer, as if you do it for the Lord (Ephesians 6:5-7).

- If you are submissive and obedient to the person you work for, your boss, you are not being stupid; you only display the good virtues of God in you– the unbelievers will have nothing evil to say of you (Titus 2:8).

- Through your conduct, the Word of God is adorned–you make the teaching about Christ, the gospel, attractive to others (Titus 2:10).

• In addition to that, you should be faithful and financially accountable; not pilfering or thieving, that is, not stealing things, regardless of the value– no matter how small.

- Some believers do not have a good testimony where they work, they collude with other employees to steal and swindle their masters.

- The reason why a number of believers do not excel in what they do is because; they employ, apply, the principles of the world to succeed, but it cannot work for them– a servant cannot serve two masters (Matthew 6:24; Luke 16:13).

- If you want to prosper in what you do, follow the principles of the Bible (Matthew 7:24-27).

• If you have a callous, froward, or harsh master, submit to him anyway.

- If your employer is cruel and unkind, and yet you are faithful, loyal, and obedient to him– God will safeguard your interests, deal with him, if he mistreated you (Ephesians 6:9).

- God is not partial, He is a just God (James 5:1-4).

• Truth

- At times the reason why some masters are unfair is because some employees are not faithful–they are not diligent in their works (Proverbs 22:29).

- Some do the work given to them with levity–they have a laid-back attitude to work. They do not work for the money they earn.

- Albeit, if you are faithful in what you do, God will give you a better job–if your faithfulness is apparent or obvious (1 Timothy 4:15).

• Take Note:

- If you are honest, you live right where you work; through your good conduct, you make the gospel attractive to others–you adorn the gospel.

- Some believers cannot witness for Christ where they work or live.

- The life they live, sinful life, has shut their mouth–they cannot witness for Christ (Acts 1:8).

- Remember, if you are good to your master, God will reward you. If you are faithful in another man’s thing, yours shall be given to you (Luke 16:12).

“Knowing that whatever good anyone does, he will receive the same from the Lord, whether he is a slave or free.”

The Pharisees and Sadducees Demand Signs

1 The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and tempting desired him that he would shew them a sign from heaven.
