Like have we lost recipes this badly….there’s an entire chapter just on him in the David Ehrenstein book “Open Secret (Gay Hollywood 1928-1998)” … Gregg Araki openly called him the “Rock Hudson of the 90s” in Totally Fucked Up (1993) … he’s alleged to have worked at Studio 54 when he was 17 … he’s had pretty substantial gay rumors surrounding him since the early 80s including more than a few that have made their way into my DMs from people who knew … everyone should read the 1999 piece “Cruising Cruise”

In making my DC reading lists (full of comics i may never actually remember to read before my hyperfixation ends), I've discovered two very interesting back up features 70s and 80s DC comics had: The Private Life of Clark Kent, and The Public Life of Bruce Wayne. Both back-up features existed (although i'm pretty sure the clark kent one ended up more popular), and it amazes me these were written.

Can we do this again? Maybe expand it for more heroes? I would gladly read a full length slice of life comic involving Clark Kent. I might even read it for Bruce Wayne, since Bruce Wayne seems far more interesting than Batman. Hell, I'd read it for any of the superheroes. Slice of Life stuff with Barry Allen? Hal Jordan? Ray Palmer? Sure, why not. It'd really do some great blending of the superhero and regular humour/slice of life style comics, and it would also let us see some more human sides of characters. Marvel should definitely do this too. It works for either company.
