Cmso you started wat hing wise prison life? How is it so far would you recommend it? How is jung kyung ho, what kind of role does he have.
Spoilers ahead for Wise Prison Life
Wise Prison Life is a lot of things, and one of those is becoming my favourite on-going drama (and I’m watching a lot of dramas right now). I really have no idea where to start, but I watch dramas for the characters, and I’m in awe of how much I’m enjoying the lead. I’ve seen Park Hae Soo act before, in SFD and LoTBS, and I know he’s a musical actor, but I’ve never seen him in a lead role. He’s playing a baseball (”Superstar”) player named Kim Jae Hyuk, and it’s evident from the way people talk about him, that he’s the center of attention. A few days before he’s supposed to fly to Boston to join his new baseball team, he is involved in a crime, and ends up having to serve time in jail instead. The thing I find fascinating about Jae Hyuk is that, despite the circumstances, you can’t read on his face the things he’s going through. He’s really bright and optimistic, but Joon Ho says that when he’s mad, he’s mad. He loves eating ice cream during the winter, and that sold me tbh. He’s probably my favourite character right now.
Jung Kyung Ho is playing Lee Joon Ho, a prison guard in the prison Jae Hyuk serves time in. They know each other, but I won’t get into the details because that would spoil the fun. I do realise, though, that I can’t talk about him without talking about Jae Hyuk. Outside of the prison, Joon Ho lives with his little brother, Soon Dol, and their relationship is hilarious. Soon Dol is Jae Hyuk’s fan, and the two are constantly bickering over how little attention Soon Dol gives his own brother because he’s too busy fanboying over Jae Hyuk.
I love the prison setting. It offers interesting themes such as surveillance and role hierarchies, and helps me put Foucault’s writing into perspective (I have an exam in like four days loool). There’s a scene where Jae Hyuk’s drinking coffee in his personal cell room, but the coffee’s grainy because there’s no hot water. He still drinks it. I’m also enjoying the stories of the inmates, and how Jae Hyuk’s learning about them, because things aren’t always as they seem. Shoutout to Beobja for being the real MVP.
I’m a little worried about the female characters. We don’t see them enough, and I’m afraid they won’t be any more present. Ji Ho’s Jae Hyuk’s ex-girlfriend, and I’m still trying to understand their relationship, so I’m not going to comment on it right now. He has a mother and little sister as well.
I couldn’t recommend trying this enough, to be honest. Shin Won Ho x Jung Bo Hoon have a way of sucking you into stories, and making you stay, despite the sometimes gloomy and unfavourable twists and turns. It’s a black comedy, and doesn’t disappoint. I’m trying to find better words, but it’s just REALLY GOOD. I live.
#reply#anonymous#wise prison life*#prison playbook*#i know i've only seen two eps but there's so much to say!!!#warning: tvn's 1 hour and 30 minutes long episodes#it's worth it but y'know

usually id watch every behind the scenes stuff but this show i dont even want to be spoiled with that or even the next ep previews. i never had a show make me like this and its also scaring me that the end isnt what i'd want it to be, them to be in each others lives and happy but also apart of me knows i rly wished they were still together. idk how i feel if the ending isnt what we want. but i love past them so much i probably wont put too much thought in the present timeline
see yeah i think that's a big pit-fall to dramas that have a lot of flashbacks/flash-forwards, because they do create audience expectations and weeks of interesting theories, and rarely will the writer actually fully display those theories in their ending.
idk if you're familiar with his work, but shin PD (the director of the reply series, hospital playlist 1 and 2, and prison playbook) is notorious for these types of dramas - he loves twisting the audience's head with guessing games and theories, to the point where even the background items and standing locations of the casts have meaning. i've seen all of his works and maybe that's why i'm taking the twenty five twenty one theories/twisting a bit more calmly because i'm used to this sort of thing, but if i learnt anything from those experiences, it's that it's best to just fully enjoy what the drama gives on a week-by-week basis or else you'll just stress yourself out and be massively disappointed somehow by whatever the writer does at the end.
i think it's the payback that's most rewarding with these kinds of dramas, and unfortunately that does mean things will get more "tricky" in the plot sense as the weeks come......but i do feel that it will be worth it!

Okeh besok lanjut!

Hospital Playlist (ep 1)
Hospital Playlist is going to be a good drama (at least what I’m guessing from the first episode). It’s refreshing to see medical drama where it’s not all about surgeries, of course, there are quite a few of them but it’s not only about emergencies.
Another reason to believe in this drama is the screenwriter, Lee Woo Jung wrote so many hits like Prison Playbook, Reply series.
The only thing that seems concerning is 12 episodes and that it is known that there will be two seasons (at least in mydramalist it shows that the second season will be out in 2021) and the show is on Netflix... Do you see where I’m going with this?

Day 12 : favourite tv series.
Now, let me tell you about my favorite tv series all the time.
1. Friends
“We were on a break!”,
Gue tau ini jadul banget, but this tv series always always entertaining me.
Sedih nya dapet, kesel nya dapet, kocaknya apalagi. Karakter rachel, ross, monica, joey, chandler dan phoebe, bikin tv series friends jadi punya warnanya sendiri. Ceritanya juga ringan, konfliknya standar, serius ini kebanyakan ngelawaknya wkkwkwk buat gue pribadi ya.
Theme song nya juga enak banget.
I'll be there for you
(When the rain starts to pour)
I'll be there for you
(Like I've been there before)
I'll be there for you
(Cause you're there for me too)
2. Stranger things
Gue lupa sih awal mula gue bisa nonton series ini gimana tapi ini salah satu tv series netflix yg gue rekomendasiin tapi buat kalian yg gak terlalu suka sama monster dan hal-hal menjijikan, mending jgn nonton. I wish eleven and the geng gak tumbuh dewasa karena kalau udah pada dewasa pasti jalan ceritanya akan disesuaikan dengan umur mereka karena di season 1 dan 2 the story is just about monster and their friendship.
3. Voice korean drama (semua season)
5. Stranger or secret forest (korean drama)
Suka banget sama karakter lead cowonya, no emosi banget, datar. Hwang Shi-Mok (lead actor) terkenal sebagai jaksa yg apatis dan ignorance, padahal sebenarnya waktu kecil dia pernah melakukan operasi otak yg akhirnya membuat dia menjadi seseorang yg tidak punya emosi.
Bagus banget jalan ceritanya, bener-bener gak bisa nebak apa yg bakal terjadi di eps berikutnya. Gak kerasa season 2 nya udah mau habis, curiga bakal ada season 3 krn ceritanya lg gantung bgt sekarang.
*Bonus :
-Phineas and ferb (cartoon series)
-YOU (netflix), cowonya stalker abis!
-We bare bears (cartoon series)
-Prison playbook (netflix), ini oke banget ceritanya, seru abis!
-Kingdom (netflix)
-Romantic doctor kim (korean drama)
-Run BTS, BTS in the soop, bon voyage BTS (ini mah variety show kali din wkwkwk gak papa deh suka kok).
And there’s a lot more.

Aku dah start niaga balik. Kenalah cari duit demi sesuap nasi and nak berasapkan dapur.
Menu baru sebab Akk aku join sekali. Dia tunggu Bos dia niaga minggu ke3 raya baru start. Alhamdulillah pagi tadi habis before pukul 8. Semoga esok habis lagi.
And sekarang aku belum sempat nak layan ep 11 hospital playlist. Season 1 dah nak habis so nanti aku nak layan prison playbook lak. Tapi nantiiiii lah. Haha prison playbook tu dari tahun lepas aku nak layan. Tak tengok2 gak.. kah!
Maybe faktor umur. Dia macam dah malas nak layan kpop or kdrama. Tapi bila2 free aku tengok je. Tapi tak sehebat dulu. Hahaha
Dulu hardcore sekarang dah suam2 kuku je. Jangan risau org yg minat kdrama or kpop still ada life and kadang2 tu hebat2 aku tgk. Jangan tgk aku. Aku kuman je hahaha
So dalam apa2 sekalipun minat tu hidup kena seimbang. Yg pasti solat tu penting!
Ciao! 晚安

I simply LOVED the 1st episode of Prison Playbook, but I'm in a moment of my life in which I can't spend circa 1 hour and 42 minutes watching one drama episode :( I'm so sad because I was also surprised that I could like something with so few women on it + I really like the story. Main lead gives all the possible Sseureki vibes and I can even say he is good looking in his own way? I guess it's because he seems to be a really good man, I don't know, maybe I'm just blabbering right now!
...are you my secret twin, Anon? Because I, too, balk at the long episode lengths (it literally takes me two days to watch one episode), and also can’t believe I’ve fallen in love with a show that has so few women. I love the story, though, especially the natural Shin PD way of interweaving the expectations we have of the characters based on our first introductions to them with the stories of their pasts and what they’re really like.
Just like Je Hyuk, I keep forgetting that everyone in the prison is there for a reason, and just because I’m delighted by their quirky personalities, doesn’t mean that they haven’t done something truly horrible to end up there. But I love that each character continues to defy expectations (like Warden Paeng -- omg if you haven’t seen ep 4 yet, then I’m sorry, but he’s now one of my favorites).
I also really love Joon Ho and the way he protects his clueless friend without trying to make it look like that’s what he’s doing. It makes me wonder if he ever regrets his choice to not go through rehab after the car accident, since he was the better ball player and had the best chance of making a full recovery. (Also I’d forgotten how much I like Jung Kyung Ho as an actor because it’s been so long since I’ve watched him in anything.)
But then it makes Je Hyuk’s issue all the more heartbreaking, because he’s obviously the type who will stubbornly and patiently work through any obstacle, even returning to baseball despite the odds against his surgery being successful. But now, thanks to prison, his hope is gone. The one thing he’s worked so hard for all his life is taken from him. He has nothing to return to after he gets out of prison, which breaks my heart and is why I teared up (and also wanted to cheer, if that makes sense) when he was like “no, I’ll go to the church service” because he wanted to scream. Unnhhhhh, my heart.
Those first four episodes were super long and told us so much, but I feel like we’re only just getting started on his story.
(Hey, look, I can babble, too!)
(ALSO NO ONE SPOIL ME ON ANYTHING PAST EPISODE 4 YET OR I WILL SHANK YOU!)
