Alien Archives: Embrosia [Race: Tetramand]

Embrosia is the DNA sample of a Tetramand in the Amalgatrix. In disguise, she is the appointed bodyguard and childhood friend of Princess Looma of the House Red Wind and also the acting general and commander of the

Fioré uses the excuse that "she doesn't stay within Khoros for that long, apparently due to 'Personal Reasons'", knowing that the reason is because she is either in Galvan Mark II with Azmuth or in a Plumber base

As a Tetramand, she posses enhanced strength, being able to lift several times their own weight and punch through various resilient materials with ease - and as a female Tetramand, she is traditionally stronger than the majority of the males of her race. She can generate shock waves with clapping her hands together, she can jump several times as her height etc.

Like all of Fioré's aliens, they have their own Sentience. Embrosia's personality is that, contrast to most of her species, she does not posses an aggressive and violent personality, but more a quiet and passive nature, but either someone or something she holds dear to her gets hurt, she would retaliate very dangerously and lose control.

She would only talk to individuals that she would 'trust', i.e Looma, which is a total drawback considering the Alien's refusal to actually engage in one-on-one convo.

*aziza visited ben on earth, in the city of Bellwood, since humans are now more welcoming towards aliens, this is her third visit, ben was excited to see her again, since he could not visit her as he is getting more busy with plumber and hero stuff*

*currently now, they both are at mr.smoothies, ben treats her to taste the new mr.smoothie menu*

Ben: so, how do you like the taste?

Aziza: hmm…the grape and the meat is not so bad, but not really my piece of cake. *yea, she has been learning human slang as well from ben*

Aziza: So how's everything, Ben? School? Plumbers? Hero work? Volunteering at the animal shelter?

Ben: Oh, things are great, Aziza. Hero work is tough, but it's worth it since I'm helping people.

Random, before I start today’s liveblogs- the situation with Looma really interests me, to this day, and I’m never 100% sure how I feel about it?

Like, how she is handled is very sexist. Incredibly sexist. ‘Undesirable girl desperate for man won’t take no for an answer, must be taught her worth by unrelated man’ is just, no. No.

But then, the actual details are something you don’t see often in modern works? Nowadays when you see a girl yearning for a man it’s typically because she thinks she needs one to be whole, or to validate herself, and OV tries to make it seem like that’s the case with her and Attea (so they can show that Ben isn’t sexist really see he’s such a feminist you guys look at him teaching these girls they don’t need a man) but the very same episode makes it really clear it’s not. Looma actually has valid reasons to be trying to get a husband.

She’s royalty, she needs legitimate heirs, she straight up says it, and that requires her to have a spouse who can make her babies. That’s it. The fact she’s also blatantly a romantic who wants love is a bonus, but the be-all-end-all of it is she needs a man to get her pregnant, and she can’t settle for one because, again, fucking royalty. She is the next in line she can’t be snatching up some random joe-schmo.

Add to that that she mentions her ascension, and concern that she’ll be the first woman to reach it without being at least engaged, and that just makes it more understandable that she’d be more than a little focused on the problem. Either she’s about to become an adult or (more likely, I think, given the level of concern, the fact Tetramands seem like they’d be matriarchal, and the fact her mother is dead) she’s about to become a Warlord in her own right. She’s under social pressure, even if it’s just internalized, to find a man and pop out an heir or two to make sure the family line goes. Especially since she seems to be an only child.

And she came so close to be a rounded character! She’s a hopeless romantic, she’s a gearhead, she’s a daddy’s girl, she’s a fierce and proud warrior! If they’d actually done shit with her she could’ve been amazing! But no, they had to be sexist shitheads!

Just, Looma had so much potential to be a great character- well-rounded, and old-fashioned take on a trope that’s modern form has gone stale, interesting- and they squandered that and it tears me apart you guys.

Anyway, TL;DR: If any m/f ship becomes canon in the reboot’verse it better be Loomvin, if they can bring fucking Billy back they can give us Looma.

The Empress and the Warlord

Approaching the last stages of my work on Meisjes van Medusa, a thick 200 page graphic novel! It’ll be out (in Dutch) early next year. So I haven’t been able to draw a lot outside of that, but I did manage to squeeze this in my schedule! Some Ben 10 fanart.

What would Looma and Attea look like in the Ben 10K timeline – and also: what would a story about them be? I wrote some fanfiction to go along with this piece: The Empress and the Warlord.
