So this week, I posted updates on two different fics. (A first for me, and probably something that will never ever happen again 😂.) It often seems to end up that I'm too busy when I actually am working on the WIP to share it, so instead, have an indeterminate number of sentences from each of those updates. Under the cut for length (and spoilers and minor smuttiness too, I guess).

First, from Ch 2 of Into Her Arms (a birthday gift for @ivelovedhimthroughworse written by @bookish-bogwitch and I):

He raises his head and looks at the reams of streamers and bunches of balloons hung from every bookcase in sight. “Very beautiful,” he says seriously. Then he points. “Aubergine, emerald and crimson.” Natasha smiles proudly. “That's right darling, just like you asked for.” Basil tilts his tiny head to the side, squinting at one of the nearby balloons. “But is that—” He screws up his mouth like he just sucked on a lemon. “Why did you use tape, mummy?” It certainly wouldn't have been Natasha's first choice to spend the past hour and a half climbing up and down and then back up a ladder. She might prefer to be dealing with matters of far greater import, such as the care and cultivation of every single young mind in the World of Mages, but today is too special to leave in the hands of the staff. Today, she’s celebrating her precious boy’s third birthday, and no matter how busy she is with curriculum updates and budget allocations and dealing with the unfortunate results of a careless fourth year putting magic into the phrase “The bomb dot com”, Natasha is determined to give every aspect of this party a mother’s touch.

By the looks of the snow outside, you’re guessing it’s the heavy stuff that’ll stick to the roads and form dangerous sheets of ice all across Rhodolite. It’s the perfect weather to build a snowman, as Clavis pointed out a few hours ago with that smug grin on his face.

The memories of your last snowman together are still fresh in your mind, and although the poor thing would have cursed the both of you until the day you died for the features you bestowed upon it, Clavis’s joy had been infectious. He even managed to get Cyran in on it, which spawned a massive snowball fight in the gardens.

That was the day Clavis took a hit for you. Cyran pelted him continuously even after he dramatically went down, completely ignoring you until you threw a snowball at his head to get him to leave Clavis alone. The equally as dramatic Cyran didn’t let that slide, making jabs at you every hour afterward for your betrayal on the field.

Clavis kissed you like you were the only thing that mattered when he finally got you alone, the two of you wrapped up in a blanket in front of the fireplace. It was a kiss that warmed you up from the tips of your toes to the top of your head.

However, it seemed like this year would hold no fun wintertime activities. Clavis had sent out a warning for the kingdom that the amount snowfall was now considered dangerous, and that people were to not leave their homes unless absolutely necessary.

And you, as the person who would rule by Clavis’s side one day, were no exception, no matter how badly he wanted the two of you to be.

“Waiting for me, my love?”

A familiar voice croons in your ear as familiar arms sneak around your waist. You murmur a soft hello as he rests his chin on your shoulder, staring out at the kingdom from the window.

Rhodolite has always been such a beautiful sight to you. But now that you’ve gone through what it’s like to be Belle, explored the neighboring nations, and experienced the princes at their worst and best, you have a new appreciation for the view. It was hard fought. The kingdom’s peace may not be as stable as you would like it to be at the moment, but with Clavis as the newly appointed king, you have faith that one day he will bring your shared dream to fruition and make sure every single life is saved.

That is, after all, what he’s always wanted.

“I’m always waiting for you when you’re not here.” you say, resting your head against his.

It’s such a contrast to how you treated him in the past that you can’t help but smile. Those days of snarky banter and empty teasing are over, both for him and for you. And those days will never return, but you can’t bring yourself to long for them when what you have now is so much better.

You have a man before you who showed you his wounds, showed you his past, let you understand him. You have a man that you fought to get to know, even when everyone around you was telling you to turn tail and run.

You believed in him, and you know he knows this. It’s why he loves you so much, and why you vow to let him know you love him just as much every day.

“If that’s the case, you should come with me.” he chuckles, nuzzling into your neck, “I have a surprise for you.”

“Oh?” you try your hardest not to snicker, but with the way he smiles against your skin you have a feeling he knows how amused you are anyway, “There’s no use in asking what is it, is there?”

“You know the answer to that.” he chuckles, spinning you by the waist so you’re facing him, “You’re smart enough to know I will give you nothing in the way of hints.”

“That I am.” you smile at him and he takes your cheek in his palm, tilting your head to the side. My

Only to feel a single kiss on your nose.

Clavis pulls away, intertwining your fingers in a single, smooth motion. You’re left confused and mildly disappointed when he tugs you away from the window without a real kiss, but you know him well enough to know that he’s holding himself back.

You’ll get all of that and more when you reach this surprise.

You sigh deeply when you realize which direction Clavis is taking you, the route all too familiar for your late-night snack runs and your quality time with Yves. He’s taking you to the kitchen, and honestly you don’t know why they’re still letting him there but you’ll be damned before you turn down your loving boyfriend’s cooking.

Ha! You just called the King of an entire kingdom your boyfriend! It makes you giddy, so giddy a giggle slips past your lips. Clavis doesn’t miss it.

“Oh, I would be excited too if I were you! Each dish was carefully crafted with you in mind, my love.” he throws open the kitchen doors with flourish, and you’re mostly surprised that there’s no one else there and not that he made you an entire buffet.

Ah...the chefs must have heard of his plans and ran.

“Clavis...are all of these foods bunny themed?” you ask softly, taking note of the googly eyes and horns that Leon had correctly identified as bunny ears all that time ago.

“Of course they are. If we can’t have fun outside, then we will have fun inside.” he beams, and you feel your heart fluttering in your chest.

He did all of this for you. You’re so lucky.

“Thank you. I love you.” you smile back, hooking your finger under his tie and yanking him into you.

The hand you press to his chest as you two share that kiss proves that he loves you just as much. With how powerfully his heart is beating, it’s not like there’s any room for doubt.

Hey I got a request!

Can you write a small platonic thing for Hinoka and Elise from Fire Emblem Fates?

It's just they can easily be best friends like, they both are the ones closest to the whole army since Hinoka knows the name of all the soldiers on their side and a tidbit about them and Elise knows all of their birthdays (both things are part of their descriptions).

They both are the closest to our character in their respective routes (Hinoka taking us flying and Elise just dragging us around in the respective endings and reaching for us at the end).

They have a support in Warriors where Hinoka teaches Elise how to do Origami and Hinoka admits that she is really thankful for the time to unwind because she has forgotten to do that more often than not.

And I just think they are adorable as friends and would like to see more of that

Kanpai! (Platonic!Hinoka x Elise)

“Is this the right place?” The Hoshidan Princess looked at the gaudy, aubergine-hued invitation; flowery lettering in gold shining whenever the sun hit it just right. Her eyes flickering between the signage and the invitation in her gloved hand. M-Maybe bringing her pegasus and weapon wasn’t the brightest idea given that she’s the only one in battle gear and everyone around is, well, in normal clothes. Hinoka quickly elected to just, ah, find the nearest stable for her steed to stay at. As for the naginata…

*Scoot, scoot.* *Attaches naginata to saddle strap.* *Calmly, non-suspiciously walks out.*

Hinoka cleared her throat, taking a moment to bask in sun; it’s midday, a brilliant blue, puffy splashes of white decorating the sky. It almost feels like she hasn’t left Hoshido just to meet a certain someone. Though the winds here didn’t have the bloom of pink Sakura leaves every now and then.

Ah spring.

Hinoka headed back to that…tea shop? Actually, what is it? She smelt brews of bitter and creamy back then, but couldn’t pinpoint what exactly the establishment was. All that was mentioned in that invitation was that it was a blend of Hoshidan and Nohrian cuisine. Mostly focusing on drinks. Hinoka didn’t dwell too much, she’d figure she’d figure that out once she stepped in.

Pushing the door open, she was assaulted by different smells, both warm and cold, some sweet, others noticeably powerful and…alcohol? B-But why would she—

“Hinoka, over here!” The red-haired princess heard, attention snapping to the source; a fair girl with hair tied in neat twintails, almost bigger than her in their girth and just as long as she was short.

“Princess Elise, hello.” Hinoka noted how her greeting sounded a tad too distant, Elise pouting in turn, purplish-pink eyes narrowing at the older woman. “Oh c’mon no need for formalities, we’re supposed to be friends!” She huffed, though her displease was quickly erased when a waitress appeared to Elise’s table, serving a bunch of colorful drinks, in Nohrian glass and Hoshidan ceramics.

“Please don’t tell me those are alcoholic.” Hinoka propped down at the plush chair across Elise who beamed at her. Hinoka almost thought she saw some sparkles there.

“Nope! They do serve drinks with alcohol in them but the ones I ordered for ours are teas, and sweet drinks.”

“Oh? What for?”

“Well, I figured since our kingdoms made peace after the war and Valla and Father and everything, I figured a little cultural exchange between us two is due. Why not start with drinks?” Elise picked up a ceramic cup that smelled faintly of earth and roast. Elise took a whiff before presenting it to Hinoka to inspect.

“Hojicha.”

“How gee sha?”

“Ho-ji-cha.”

“Hojisha!”

Hinoka gave a chuckle in response. “Close enough.”  Watching Elise drink the slightly bitter golden drink. “Roasty! A bit nutty, what is it?”

“Wouldn’t asking the establishment about their drink get you more answers?” Hinoka tilted her head, taking a glass mug and sniffing the strongly bitter wafting off the mud-colored hot liquid. W-What…?

“Well, I could, but I’d rather you tell me about it. Seeing as it’s Hoshidan and all.” Elise said, watching Hinoka’s reaction to the Nohrian beverage. “Oh, that’s coffee. I didn’t know whether you like yours with cream so I ordered a black roast instead, you can put milk in it though.”

“Kohi?”

“Coffee.”

“Koff-ee.”

“Close enough!”

Taking that into account, Hinoka took a sip, she wanted to taste it before she put milk, and she was greeted by a very strong bitter taste that woke her right up. Not even Takumi-prepared green tea tasted this bitter.

“No wonder you didn’t flinch when you drank hojicha, even I’m not taken by its taste.” Hinoka said, pouring a generous amount of milk and sugar into the coffee, dying it a creamy caramel color. Taking a sip, she leaned back, her lips curling upwards.

Elise meanwhile, decided to target the green tea, earning a perplexed look from Hinoka that quickly turned into mortification when Elise finished the entire thing. Still wearing that cheery smile.

“K-Kanpai?”

“Cheers!”

Alright I have made way too many MLP OCs lately and decided to line them up to keep track of their heights. Here’s ALL of my OCs so far, and a bit about them:

Princess Alpine (Alpine Ibex) - Leader of the Alpine Herd, and a fierce warrior.

Aurora Racer (Pegasus) - A famous racer known across Cloudsdale, she currently lives in Alpine Acres.

General North Star (Alpine Ibex) - General of the Alpine Herd’s army, and Princess Alpine’s guardian (and wife)

Cherry Syrup (Capricorn) - A sweet Capricorn who runs a juice bar.

Lemonade (Capricorn) - Works with her sister, Limeade, at the juice bar. She’s incredibly chatty.

Capri Sun (Capricorn) - A playful Capricorn who sometimes causes trouble for travelers.

Limeade (Capricorn) - Works with her sister, Lemonade, at the juice bar. Shes awfully shy and quiet most of the time.

Water Chestnut (Deer) - A gardener living in the Kingdom of Capra.

Lord Magma (Okapi) - Previous reincarnation of Inkblaze who attempted an invasion of Equestria. Incredibly manipulative and powerful.

Lord Whirlpool (Muntjac) - Previous Reincarnation of Watertrotter. Fought against his childhood best friend, Lord Magma, to the death in order to protect Equestria from invasion.

Honeypot (Bee Pony) - A mail carrier living in Alpine Acres. She also keeps bees.

Bumble (Bee Pony) - Honeypot’s younger brother, who is terrified of bugs.

Turnip Top (Earth Pony) - A grumpy old Earth Pony who believes in hard work.

Neep Leaf (Earth Pony) - A young filly and the son of Turnip Top and Aubergine. Neep Leaf is very curious. He looks up to his brother a lot.

Turnip Tinker (Unicorn) - A unicorn who was adopted by Aubergine and Turnip Top. He has chronic joint pain, but is incredibly technologically gifted and loves tinkering with different things.

Aubergine (Earth Pony) - A loving mother and amazing cook, who was known for her beauty in her youth.

Watertrotter (Chinkara) - The Water Guardian of the Kingdom of Capra. She sometimes likes to disguise himself as a pony to hang out with their friends in Equestria.

Inkblaze (Himalayan Ibex) - The Fire Guardian of the Kingdom of Capra. He loves to draw and paint. He looks quite scary, but is actually very friendly and sweet. He easily gets overwhelmed and struggles with depression. However, He believes that he can single-handedly improve the relationship with Equestria. Watertrotter disagrees.

My “Magic” Touch: I love music. I can play a plethora of instruments, though you won’t find most of them in the EAH Muse-ic room.

Storybook Romance Status: Everyone at EAH knows that Daring Charming is very handsome. It’s no surprise that he has almost every girl falling for him.

“Oh Curses!” Moment: As the next Empress, I tend to be very, ah, pushy. Though I know some others would say demanding. I also tend to mention that I’m going to be an Empress far too much. It’s a habit, I’ll admit.

Favorite Subject: Kingdom Management. As the next Empress, my duty to my kingdom is very important.

Least Favorite Subject: Princessology. I am going to be the Empress, and I’ve had princess lessons my entire life, so it just feels like revision to me.

Made a Stupid Eggant berry Pokémon

Wanted to make a convergent Pecharunt based on Princess Aubergine. A little girl born from an eggplant, or at least next to one. (There's many variations of it.)

Dex entry:

Trading Ties (2,178 words so far) Derek gets assigned to Stiles duty when Laura kidnaps Stiles. Porn with plot, magical/BAMF Stiles is horny on main and sees this as an opportunity. Stiles came to slowly, modulating his breathing and heart rate to hide his consciousness as best he could as while he collected his thoughts. Worth Fifty Thousand Words (344 words) Silly unhinged ficlet, mentions of porn, but nothing explicit. Comedy. Stiles gaped after Mrs. Brooks. Derek stood beside him, eyebrow raised. Taste of Truth (781 words) Ficlet for Stiles Shipping Central server exchange. Short and sweet Stiles/Danny. Danny rubbed his temples and rose early from his meditations. Scent Masked at Midnight (6,179 words) Angst -> smut Stiles cracked open the door to the tiny New York apartment he shared with Derek after another night of striking out at the club. Pie (1,337 words) Comedy/fluff, Sheriff/Peter side pairing Derek huffed, rolling his eyes at Stiles' theatrics.

Looks like mine all either jump directly into dialog, or [name] [action] LOL. I'm ok with this, honestly. I like to get the ball rolling by introducing the fic with action instead of description, as it fits my writing style. I’m seeing that some websites say she’s the daughter of princess aubergine, some say Midas, some say aladdin, some say 1000 nights tbh I find daughter of Midas most interesting so I’ll just stick with that in my headcanons
