hi i can no longer act coy or hope that a job will come in time so im coming to everyone really embarassingly with my issues

in June I attempted to get fired from/left my job after having a really embarassing public meltdown due to having Rapid-Cycling Mixed Bipolar and the unending stress of that job of 3+ years. I've been struggling to get a job afterwards due to being in CA without a vehicle, and i'm currently working on an overdue commission so could not open up any more.

Soon after, my mother's car imploded, and a series of incidents related to a used engine and taking out a loan with a friend has left her both needing to pay back the loan and still needing to get a new car, putting her thousands in the hole.

my mother has allowed me to not worry about paying rent while unemployed, but now the person living with us is moving out, so it will be on me and my mother to pay rent, upping mine from $300 to $500 a month. I am currently job hunting with good prospects, but I am still in need of some assistance.

I DO NOT WANT TO ASK FOR DONATIONS WITHOUT GIVING SOMETHING IN RETURN, I have a very bad time taking help from people without doing something in return because I do not want people to feel like they Have to give me money or help me, I want to Offer something in return for that money, even in a situation like this, because I want everyone to come out on the other end feeling fulfilled, so I'm offering some (slow) cheaper commissions I can work on in between the bigger comm I owe.

Sketches- 100 usd per character. No fixes or wips are included in the price. Can be done on stream if requested!

Character clean art - 200 for 1 character. + 120  usd additional character. Wips, changes and fixes are included. Basic BG with little details is included, for bigger price BG can be more detailed :3

Sketch lined reference - 200 usd. Includes one fullbody picture, one halfbody picture and a detail. Includes wips and fixes

Halfbody scene- 300 usd . Wips and fixes are included of course.

Scene - starts from 500 usd (3 characters max,every additional character + 70 usd), price depends on number of characters/details/background.Wips and fixes included!

Animations - colored ones are starting from 450 usd and goes up,depending on your idea. Non colored ones are starting from 200 usd. Also update for car situation:

Car dealership said there was not a single dealership in the country that had the part I needed, so wanted to charge me $362 USD for a part to be ordered from Japan, which would take about 12 weeks to get here plus another hundred or so for labor. So approx about 450-500 in repair

However I am. Very lucky. To have a person who works with automobiles and he was able to find the part for around 200, plus charging me labor of 50 and the part would come in about a week from now. So I paid the whopping $250 and crossing fingers that it's the only thing wrong with the car

I still haven't been able to get to the post office to drop off envalopes and packages for patreons and pins lmao. They're here and they're packed! I just literally can't drive them to the PO, and they won't come do pick up either. I was able to send off a handful when my mother let me borrow her car for the price to taking her 30 minutes to work at 6am and picking her up at 5 and so forth but I can't do that anymore because of commute time and she uses her car for work, and there's no one I can rely on for a ride for just a drop off during PO open hours

So uhhh a little bit panicked because I want these out before September ends but it's fine it's cool. If I didn't live in the area I live in now I would simply walk the box an hour or two to the office and then walk home. No buses no sidewalks and too rural for uber. Smh.

(It's not safe to drive but tbh I'm wondering if I can just. Drive the car with the broken accelerator pedal to the post office if I just go real slow anyway. Also walmart. I crave fruit.)

so after months of testing the vet informed us a few days ago that our cat does, in fact, have skin cancer. to get more specific it's actually squamous-cell carcinoma.

(text is in spanish but im sure google lens can translate pretty well.)

it's affecting the tip/side of his left ear and hasn't spread to his nose or the other ear, so the vet recommended surgery to get the ear removed as soon as we possibly can. this would be on september 2nd, this monday.

exams like x-rays and biopsies have already been pretty expensive so i'm making this post to hopefully offset the cost of his pinnectomy (ARS$180,000->USD$189) even just a little bit. the whole thing has been really stressing and adding to that a messed up family situation where i can't ask them for help, please trust me when i say i wouldn't do this if i didn't need to.

Emergency Commissions

hey hi if it's not one thing it's another this month lmao

all the money I had saved up for April's rent and utilities was recently used to take my litter of puppies and their late mama to the vet, so I don't have anything anymore. We need 500 to be able to pay rent and utilities, so I'm opening up emergency commissions.

Current special offer is my clan icons since they're easiest for me to do given my time constraints with the puppies, which are knocked down to 15$ USD for a pair instead of the usual 25$. The only examples I have right now are TMNT related but I can do any fandom.

not sure why Sky left out the entire price range? she could just have been referring to the price of Items alone (minimals, food, books, items like that).

Now that that's out of the way: That doesn't encompass the entire range of Artist pay.

Naturally, for starters, the price of items is not the price of NPC's, Pets, Graphic Art (avatars, icons, site header, etc), Map/Scenery Art.

but, most notable of all. It doesn't include the Human Avatar art (the clothing, companions and such drawn on the Human Avatars directly, this does not include the Item Art of the Human Avatar Items).

Items: Regular Items are 6 USD flat. There is no price range on visual complexity. Animated Items are 8 USD Basic Recolors (so, just using the fill tool to color layers that already exist, very easy) are 0.50 USD each Complex Recolors (adding new information to an existing item) are 2 USD

NPC art is 30 USD New Pet art is 30 USD Existing Pet Revamps (redrawing an old pet) is 20 USD Pet Basic Recolor is 2 USD "Elaborate Recolor(line edits)" is 3 to 5 USD Animated Forum Avatars - 4 USD Pixel Icons - 3 USD Animated Pixel Icon - 5 USD Pixel Icon Recolor - 0.50 USD Site Header - 6 USD Regular Site Banner/Graphic - 4 USD Animated Site Banner/Graphic - 6 USD Site Banner Recolor - 1 USD Social Media Graphic - 5 to 10 USD UI Page Design - 8 USD

And, finally. Human Avatar Art (this is the art drawn directly on the human avatars), I'll type this out for those using a screenreader, but i did include the image we artists are given to reference, with some blurs and mosaic to the depicted items for NDA reasons:

Small Accessories (earrings/necklace), and Eyes: 2 to 4 USD Facial Features: 1 to 2 USD Hair: 5 to 8 USD Belts and Sashes, Shoes, Gauntlets, Leggings, Pants, Shorts, Small Wings, Small Head Wearables, Hair Accessories: 4 to 6 USD Shirts: 4 to 8 USD Large Acessories, Cloaks, Robes, Dresses: 6 to 8 USD Skins, and Large Wings: 8 to 12 USD Large Head Wearables: 8 to 10 USD Special Clothing and Armor: 12 to 15 USD Backgrounds: 30 USD Foreground: 6 to 8 USD Please keep in mind, the earlier mention of Animated items includes, hand drawn, frame by frame animation.

And, every single step of the process gets sent in for approval. Your sketch, your Lines, Color, and Shading If Artists were able to finish these items in less than an hour, the pricing still wouldn't be great, the Pet Site Community as a whole undervalues art. But, each item will take at least 1 day, if not longer to finish, requested to be drawn in batches of 5. Typically, you may see an artist finish 5 items a Week. If an Artist was to draw 5 shirts for the site, they will get, not including the Item Art, 20 dollars. As there has been times where the artist who draws the clothing on the Human Avatar doesn't end up drawing the Item. Please bear this in mind when you think about those 150 to 500 dollar price tags on the Kickstarter for designing items. 150 dollars for Hair, when the artist will get 5. 200 dollars for a single clothing item, when the range the artist will receive will be 2 to 8 USD. I emplore the staff to make the pay of all staff members 100 per cent transparent to the users, including Artist pay, Admin, Programmer, Mods, and etc. Real life money or SanCash.

Hello! As those who have been following my blog for some time now may know, my name is Liz. I primarily write fanfiction for the Horizon Zero Dawn/Forbidden West fandom, but I also enjoy exploring other fandoms and am currently working on my own book.

I'll get straight to the point. I unexpectedly lost my job last Wednesday. It was a tough blow since I had put in a lot of time and effort to do well at it. I am now actively searching for a new job and have a few potential prospects, but my previous job was what paid for my mortgage and bills. Without it, I'm not sure if I'll be able to cover my expenses until I find something new.

Therefore I am opening commissions. I currently have five slots open, and I can write for a variety of fandoms, pairings, etc. Feel free to DM me for any details!

I do have a couple of rules however:

Anything NSFW can be negotiated with a higher price attached (mostly because I rarely write sexual content/smut) to the final piece but I REFUSE to write the following:

Rape, non-consent Anything involving the abuse of children Over the top, extreme violence and gore

The following are base prices for regular work: .03 cents per word for a max of 1.5K words 500 = 15 USD 1,000 = 30 USD 1,500 = 45 USD

I am willing to go over my 1.5K word limit but for an extra .01 cents to the OG price: 2K = 80 USD 2.5K = 100 USD 3K = 120 USD

Anything with NSFW will be subjected to a price increase of .02 cents to the total word count.

Meaning 1.5 K words = 45 USD + another 30 USD (.02 cents x 1.5K = 30) = 75 USD

I also set up a Ko-fi . My commission info is there too, and you can donate some money if you want to, thought it's absolutely not necessary, as I'd prefer to take commissions.

Writing Commissions Open!

Hey howdy hey, guess who's broke and whose brain has latched on to the idea of getting a bike or a trike to get places other than the one (1) coffee shop in walking distance!

YEP. I need to open commissions.

However, I do have at least one thing going for me- I'm told I'm fairly good at writing things! Fanfic things, at least. While I'm not dumb enough to outright go "hey, pay me to write fanfiction," I figure I can at least point out some fanfics I've written that seem to have gone over well as examples of my work, since that's most of what I've got for proof of my skills.

Things I Will Not Write:

Smut. There's no shame in enjoying it, I just. Don't.

Incest. Absolutely NONE. Even leaving aside the whole debate about whether or not people should ship incest ships, I would not be able to enjoy writing it, which would make the resulting work of low quality, which would be a huge waste of time for everyone involved.

Pedophilia- specifically, ships with a minor and an adult multiple years their senior. See above. 17yo x 18yo is pushing it, but depending on the circumstances, I might allow it. They aren't exactly in completely different phases of life there. However, I'm in my 20s and don't particularly want to think about or write about kids the age of my youngest brother dating people my age or older, you feel me?

Bigotry presented to the reader as a positive thing. I'm not gonna write your favorite heroic character declaring OOC that minorities are terrible people. If you want something from the POV of a character meant to be terrible, such as someone like Fire Lord Ozai in AtLA, however, I may be willing to write it.

I reserve the right to refuse any commission and not have to explain why. Person-to-person, though, this will likely only come up if someone tries to commission something that crosses these lines and refuses to acknowledge such.

Payment: 5¢ USD per word. This works out to…

$12.50 for 250 words

$25 for 500 words

$50 for 1K words

and so on.

I'll need half the payment up front as a deposit, then the rest upon completion. If, for whatever reason, I fail to write the commission, you will be refunded in full.

If you pay me for a given number of words, I will do my best to stick to it. I will make sure you at least get your money's worth, but if I just can't quite fit the writing into the given limit, I won't charge you for the extra words. Call it 100 words or so of wiggle room.

A commission for a fic 1K or larger that runs 100 words or less over the intended length will not cost extra

A commission for a fic between 500 and 999 words that runs 50 words or less over will not cost extra

A commission for a fic 499 words or below that runs 25 words or less over will not cost extra

A commission for a fic that has enough going on to run over that limit will result in me contacting you to ask for either a scaled-down plot or payment for the extra writing.

I will not consider calling a commission complete until I can hit the target wordcount at minimum.

If it should happen that I just can't make a scene stretch to the full wordcount, but you still want to keep what is written, the words that were not written will be refunded.
