 Why would Catra elect to go to the reconstruction of the Fright Zone with the best friend squad when she was pregnant? She couldn't help and no one was going to let her lift anything. What she did do was give orders to make her wife get her things for her and cuddle so she had to take regular breaks like a normal person. Catra wasn't complaining about being carried around when she complained her feet hurt but she was doing this for Adora's own good. Totally selfless.

"Deep breaths, you're okay, it's okay-"

"Adora, shut up," Catra gritted out, collapsing against her wife and breathing heavily. Fifteen hours. Of course Adora's child would be difficult about being born.

Adora pointed out that being a week overdue made the baby very firmly Catra's. She'd disagreed. That had been twelve hours ago.

Now they waited as Catra cycled through contractions over and over without any progress. She seemed to have stalled at eight centimeters. It was infuriating, and it was concerning.

Catra groaned, pressing herself as close to Adora's chest as she could. Everything hurt, the world felt slightly fuzzy, and Catra felt weak. She hated feeling weak.

Two more centimeters. Please. Just two more centimeters.

Adora turned her gaze to the window, biting her lip. Catra had said, before they got pregnant, that they needed their own place if they were going to do this. She loved their friends, but they were all nosy as fuck and would want to be part of everything, especially Bow and Glimmer, and Catra did not have the patience for that. So they'd quietly gotten their own land and Adora, with some help from professionals and a lot of following Catra's design, had built their new home on the edge of the Whispering Woods. They were about ten miles from the castle.

Now, separated by a raging storm that had cut off all communications, it felt like another planet. The rain was almost vicious - even Melog couldn't go out into it. Or Catra wouldn't let them, anyway. Adora wished she had pushed earlier, when the storm had been bad but not as bad, to let Melog go get someone. But Catra was insistent at the time that it wasn't really labor.

It was really labor. And now it was too late.

Catra groaned, head falling back against Adora's chest, breathing heavily. Melog looked back from the window, ears against their head, and Adora held Catra a little tighter.

"I'm so tired," she muttered, eyes fluttering shut for a minute. Adora panicked, jostling her a little.

"No, no, you have to stay awake, remember?"

"M'awake." Her voice slurred slightly.

"Open your eyes," Adora pleaded. "Please."

"Why?" Catra groaned, but she forced her eyes open.

Adora was tempted to transform and brave the storm alone, but that would leave Catra completely by herself. And who knew what would happen while she was gone? The idea of Catra, tired and alone, trying to push or passing out...

No, Adora couldn't leave.

Catra gasped, fingers digging into Adora's leg. Adora felt the slight sting of barely restrained claws. "Sorry," she gritted out, trying to ease her grip. Adora rested her hand over hers.

"It's okay. Don't worry about me."

Melog slunk back from the window, resting their head in Catra's lap. "Definitely your kid," Catra said after a long moment, releasing a breath. Adora laughed.

"Your kid."

"Our kid."

Adora smiled despite herself. "Yeah. Our kid."

Eighteen hours.

Catra groaned, dropping her head against the pillow. She was pale, drenched in sweat, breathing heavily. Adora wiped her forehead with a damp cloth, other hand gripping Catra's. The storm was still raging outside. Adora still couldn't reach anyone on the trackerpad. She wanted to throw it out the window and screamed.

But Catra needed her to be calm.

"Adora?" Catra's voice was barely a whimper. "I don't think I can do this."

"Little late for that," Adora joked. Catra smiled weakly in return. "You can do this. I know you can."

"Oh yeah? How's that?"

"Because you're the strongest, most stubborn person I've ever met." Adora squeezed her hand, smiling. "You've never let anything stop you, and I know you're not going start giving up now."

Catra laughed breathlessly, nestling against Adora's thigh. "I love you."

Adora leaned in to kiss her forehead. "I love you too."

Rain lashed against the window, accenting the momentary silence, until Catra sucked in a sharp breath. "What's wrong?" Adora asked, straightening up.

"I... I think I need to push." Catra's voice was strained. Adora's breath caught.

"O-Okay," she breathed, helping Catra sit up. "Okay, you want the position we talk about?"

Cara nodded, although she looked shaken. "Yeah."

She was leaning heavily against Adora, soaked in sweat, eyes unfocused and cloudy. "Are you ready?"

"No." Catra laughed a little. "But I think we're passed that."

Adora kissed the top of her head, smiling. "You've got this. I love you."

"I-" Catra's breath caught, and she squeezed her eyes shut. Adora tightened her grip. "I think I need to-"

"Deep breath," Adora coached, trying to remember the coaching classes they had giggled through. They really shouldn't have been allowed in a class together. "I'm going to count to ten and-"

"Count, Adora," Catra growled through her teeth.

"Right. Okay. One..."

Being queen during a time of peace was nice. It meant Glimmer could do things like nap with her husband while a wild storm raged outside. They hadn't been able to contact Catra and Adora, and Glimmer had wondered if she should go check on them, but Catra was still a month out from her due date. It was probably fine.

She stirred, yawning, as the trackerpad rang. Bow reached over to pick it up, answering it lazily.

"Hello?"

Glimmer jerked awake when she heard a high-pitched crying. "Um, Bow?" Adora sounded a little sheepish. "Could Glimmer maybe go to Mystacor and get our midwife?"

Bow stared at the trackerpad in disbelief. "Did... Did Catra-?"

"Kind of an emergency, Bow."

Bow looked at Glimmer, wide-eyed. She nodded and disappeared in a shower of sparkles.

I realized I was filling the tags on someone's fan art of the kids of Glimmer/Bow and Catra/Adora and I should probably make my own headcanon post instead of cluttering artists' tags (...again)

I think that in that group of friends, of the ones who have kids, Adora and Catra are actually the last ones to do it.

Like, they both just recognize they have a lot of healing to do first, obviously

BUT ALSO the idea is just Too Scary for a long time--until they hang out with their friends' kids. Not even babysitting necessarily, just being around them socially. And then they're like...okay. I think we might be able to do this? I think we can do this.

I think Adora decides she wants a kid before Catra does, and it takes her ages to actually say anything, but in the meantime Catra can see the way Adora looks at their friends' kids. Hell, there's multiple times Catra is playing with a kid or holding a baby and she looks up and Adora is just obviously having A Lot of Feelings.

Catra: hey remember how you're allowed to want things and even talk about the things you want

Adora: *sweats* I have no idea what you're talking about

Catra: *raises one eyebrow*

Adora: YOU WERE SO CUTE OKAY

That said, no matter which of them gets pregnant, there's multiple times they wake up in the middle of the night during the pregnancy having A Bit of A Panic because what if we fuck this up

(And their friends are like, you are surrounded by an entire community of love and support you will be fine)

And here's the thing: I have seen friends who are child abuse survivors (hell, my own brother) with their kids. I have heard them talk about how surreal and hard of an experience it is to look at their own kid and think: someone saw me this small and hurt me, and I cannot imagine doing the same. How could anyone look at me when I was this small and hurt me.

And I can easily imagine Catra holding a baby and thinking: "I will never let anyone hurt you. (I will murder anyone who tries.)"

ON A LIGHTER NOTE I do think Glimmer and Bow have multiple children (like, anything less than thirteen would feel like a small family to Bow lolol but I'm thinking three or four) and I like the idea that their youngest is born the same year as Catra and Adora's kid and they grow up together

But also that kid is going to have so many older "cousins," who needs siblings at that point

I have no interest in having kids myself, but something about Catra and Adora having kids makes me feel so soft. I really don't like the concept of pregnancy for myself, but something about either of them getting to a point in their life where it's chill enough for them to have that if they want to and the other taking care of the one who is pregnant is very sweet.

It's like, you go you beautiful lesbians, be happy and have that domestic life after all the crap you've been through! 🥺

Deku gets help from all might and wins (in the myth aphrodite gives the winner golden apples which distract atalanta, not sure how this would play out in this ver)

8. Howl’s Moving Castle au (book ver). Controversially, I have deku as howl, katsuki as Sophie & sentient OFA as calcifer. I can and Will back this up. (Kaminari as Martha/youngest sister who wants to marry rich and be a mom) & Uraraka as Lettie (middle sister who wants to be rich off her own hard work) (I actually have the whole cast planned out)

9. I’m currently writing a Carrie au. Deku is Carrie obvs. Katsuki is both Sue and Tommy, w Kiri coming in for some of Tommy’s advice giving moments. Decided Toga can be Chris and originally I had aged down!Dabi as Billy at a friend’s request but not 100% sure. Considered switching to mustard but like. We know nothing about him.

How Stella Differs From Other Female Abusers

I’ve been confused on why I didn’t have a similar disdain for Stella as I did for other female abusers such as: Beatrice Horseman, Shadow Weaver, and Odalia Blight. I was confused until I asked myself: how does Stella differ from all of these women? That’s when it finally hit me all of these women, Stella included are narcissistic, power (and or status obsessed), psychopaths but Stella lacks something that they all have: control. Beatrice Horseman while having a lavish life similar to Stella was always calm and controlled in her rants to her son which of course made them all the more terrifying and worse, believable for a young child because it sounded like she was saying a fact instead of something out of anger. Same thing with Shadow Weaver, most of the time she was passive aggressive and yes had moments where she flew off the handle but she knew how to manipulate a situation to go in her favor like when she manipulated Catra into helping her escape or what she did to Glimmer for most of season 4 even though she was still technically a “prisoner.” She also had a lot of authority within the Horde and was in control of a lot of people before Catra stopped her. Odalia was in charge of a whole company and always tried to frame every petty, manipulative, and controlling thing she did to Amity as her “helping her daughter fulfill her potential” or something which was really a vain effort to have something to brag about. 

Stella however has barely any control over anything at all. She got into an arranged marriage with Stolas when she was barely older than Octavia. She lets her emotions get the better of her all the time. She still obsesses over what the rest of the Goetia family thinks. Whenever there’s a problem she just throws money at it. She doesn’t say things with sadistic coldness she screams it out with white hot rage which is raw and feels real (not for good reasons but still). Stella also seems to run to her brother. The only real things she has control over are what parties she throws. She is dependent on other people and she hates it so she bullies them into thinking she has control when she doesn’t which again is terrible and no one should do that. She has never had to do an actual thing for herself and is basically an overgrown child. They explain how her outfit can look juvenile as well in this one re-design video but my computer is being stupid so I can’t post it. Stella has never made any big decisions for her life and just did what her parents asked of her. The closest thing she made to a decision was her paying someone to kill Stolas for embarrassing her. I think on some level she realizes this and that’s why she hates Stolas so much because she had no choice in her life and she takes it out on him because she’s too scared of what other people think to leave. 

All the women above made choices: Beatrice Horseman chose to abandon her safe and steady life to run off with her horrible idiot of a husband after he got her pregnant and instead of admitting that she made a mistake she just took it out on Bojack, Shadow Weaver she worked her way to the top and became a respected sorceress only to throw it away for a desperate grab at more power while endangering a child and then started abusing other children because she was so convinced that she was entitled to power, Odalia built an entire company with her husband and handles most of the business but only cares about her kids if they make her look good and will actively hurt them to get her way. Stella however did what her parents asked of her to maintain her safety, comfort, and security. She got married to a man who didn’t even find her attractive and whom she has nothing in common with. This would be frustrating for anyone but with Stella’s anger issues it made her extremely abusive and taking it out on him (again this is obviously horrible and I don’t condone). 

In her mind she did everything she was expected to do even if it made her miserable and in return she gets her husband humiliating her in the worst way imaginable over and over again. I hope the show gets better and treats her anger issues like a serious problem that negatively impacts her too. And goes into detail about how she struggles with it because she has little to no control over it. Stella is pretty much the product of her environment and I want to see her be more than that.

The war is finally over. Prime is dead, the hive mind is broken, and everyone is reunited with their loved ones. However, there are some questions left unanswered. Chapter 22: Project Orion

Once again, rain battered the windows of the Crypto Castle. A blue fire crackled within the fireplace that housed all the… guests. On one side of the room sat the Alliance; on the other side sat Hordak’s brothers and the former horde soldiers. Right in the middle sat the former warlord upon an armchair, his fists balled into his pants. Entrapta sat on the arm of the chair with her hair wrapped around Hordak’s bicep. He cleared his throat.

“Now, I am under the impression that you all know why you are here. I would like to first apologize for my outburst yesterday. It was inappropriate of me, and I should have acted more rationally.” After a moment, Hordak looked at Entrapta. 

“Do you recall when I told you where I came from?”

“Yes.”

“That was partially a lie. I am not a clone I am the actual biological child of Horde Prime.” Hordak glanced down at his fists as everyone reacted with varying levels of shock.

“Why in the world would Prime want a baby?” Mermista expressed.

“He never wanted me. I was an accident my mother insisted on keeping. According to him at least.”

“Mother?” Castaspella inquired.

“Yes, I had a mother who is the only reason I am still alive. According to Prime, when my mother found out she was pregnant with me she insisted they kept me. Prime agreed as long as I was not a distraction.”

“If it is not too personal, could you tell us what she was like?” Castaspella inquired.

“I think we crossed the line of personal business a while ago.” Catra retorted, gaining a glare from Adora and Glimmer.

Orion sat reading on a big chair in his bedroom connected to his parent’s room. Despite being only four years old, he was very proficient at reading and had already begun reading novels and scientific articles. Like many rooms in the Velvet Glove, it was a blinding white with black accents and smelled strongly of bleach.

Orion looked up to the sound of the green barrier dissolving. His mother stepped through the door.

“Alright, star sweeper time for bed.”

“What! Please five more minutes, mama.”

“No, buts star sweeper, it is already past your bedtime.” She took the book from his hands, careful to mark Orion’s place. She started to usher him to bed as a thought popped into his head.

“Mama, why did you name me Orion?”

“Well, when I was giving birth to you, the Velvet Glove was passing right through a constellation named Orion by the local beings. Legend says he was a giant who was a mighty warrior and a huntsman that was immortalized in the stars.”

“Will you stop filling his head with that nonsense?” Orion’s father, Horde Prime stood at the door.

“Darling, it’s only a story.”

“A stupid one at that,” he looked to his left. “Is that my book?” He stomped over to the armchair, swiping the book and ripping out the bookmark. “Tell your child to stop taking my things.” He stormed out of the room, closing the barrier between the two bedrooms.

“I’m sorry,” Orion whispered, balling his fists into the bedsheets.

“Oh, don’t worry about it. Your father is just having a bad day.”

“He’s always having a bad day.”

“I know.”

“Can you sing that one song for me again?”

“Anything for your star sweeper.

I'll sweep the stardust for you” She tucked in the white sheets of his small bed.

“Ok, what I don’t get is how we and none of the other clones knew about her?” TD asked, leaning forward in his seat.

“Prime never let anyone see her. He never told me, but I figured her wanted her all to himself and didn’t want anyone else to touch her. Which is probably why he wasn’t too fond of me when I came around.”

“Why would Prime even want a wife to begin with? I thought he only loved himself.” Frosta inquired.

“Another thing I am not fully aware of. My best guess is that he liked the attention and affection a wife could give him. A type of adoration clones could not provide.”

“Whatever happened to your mother?” Micah asked, crossing his arms.

Just like his mother had told him to do, Orion hid in his closet as his parents screamed at each other. He didn’t know how it started he just knew it was about him. It was always about him. 

Maybe Father is right. Maybe I am a nuisance.

He could never figure out why his father detested him so much. Maybe it was his appearance. While he looked more like his mother there were some staggering differences in looks. For one, his eyes were crimson red when his parents were electric lime green. His hair was also different, with his being navy blue, short, and curly while his parents were white, long, and straight.

At that point, his parents were close enough to the door that he could make out what they were saying.

“I just don’t get the obsession you have with that thing! It was bad enough you wanted to keep it, but spending almost all your time with it!”

“First of all, that thing is your seven-year-old son, whom I am trying to raise by myself since you have put absolutely zero effort into even being nice too!”

“That’s another thing! With every passing day, you become more and more defiant! It has gotten out of hand!”

“And I apologize for that, but I just want you to be involved in raising the child you helped create!”

“When the universe implodes, I will be involved.”

“You are such a…hmm”

“Go ahead. Finish what you were saying.”

“Fine. You are a cold, narcissistic, uncaring man who has never given a single thought to anyone but yourself! You are a terrible father and a terrible husband that sucks the life of everyone around you!”

“There is no hope for you after all.”

“I do not exactly know what happened after that. All I heard was her screaming grow quieter as Prime drug her away. I never saw her after that night. The next morning Prime handed me off to a couple of clones and sent us off to some unknown plant where I was educated about almost every subject and how to fight. At the age of 25 my cybernetics were implanted, I joined the hivemind, and became his general.”

“Oh, sweetheart,” Castaspella whispered, covering her mouth.

“Please, the very least you can do is not pity me. Is there anything else you all want to ask or are we done here?”

“No there isn’t,” Glimmer rose from her seat. “Thank you for telling us this and we are sorry we put you in this position. Guys let's go.” At her command, the Alliance filed out of the room leaving Hordak, Entrapta, and the five brothers in the room.

Hordak slumped down him his seat. Groaning as he buried his face in his hands. He looked up at his family.

“I am sorry.”

“For what?” Entrapta asked, wrapping her hands around his bicep.

“Lying to all of you about everything.”

“HK, that doesn’t matter. What matters is that you’re ok.”

“I’m fine. It happened a long time ago.”

“Still, if there is anything you need we are all right here.” Entrapta placed her hand on Hordak’s shoulder, receiving a small smile from the former warlord. “Come on,” she rose from her seat, “it’s past lunchtime and I know you haven’t eaten anything.”

As the Alliance boarded Darla Sea Hawk pulled Bow to the side.

“What’s wrong.”

“Nothing is wrong. After today I want to join you on your quest to befriend Hordak. Today has made me realize how hard he has had it, and maybe, like Catra, positive relations could get him on the straight and narrow.”

“That’s great! I’m glad someone finally gets it. My only problem is breaking the ice. I tried to talk to him once, but he was so dismissive. We need to get him in a place where he would be willing to socialize.”

“How about… a boys' night out?”

Every great now and then I'll see someone try to figure out how Catra and Adora have a biological kid

Because even if one of them is trans, they're not the same species you guys. Look me in the eye. Adora is technically an alien and Catra is half cat.

But like, they live on a planet where people can teleport or use their hair as extra hands or shoot lightning or be partially a cat or lizard

And Bow looks like both of his dads and has a dozen siblings

Anyway my own headcanon is that on Etheria if two people want to have a baby badly enough and decide to do it and one of them is willing to be pregnant, voila, they're pregnant.

"But how--" It's just magic, okay! It's just magic!

Yes this means at least one of Bow's dads has been pregnant a bunch of times. "But how did he give birth" Magic, obviously
