Boo! An update! under the cut for more personal stuff as you prob wonder why this au has been silent lately.

Hey, I know it's been awhile since you've seen me. Well, that's cause I've been holding onto this update for awhile. Since December of 2022.

There's a lot of reasons why I haven't posted this. Mostly to do with severe depression, and anxiety getting worse, and a major art complex on my shoulder.

Plus, fact of the matter is that I lost all of my notes for the Post-Florpus AU. Yeah. Every single one, cause I handwrote those notes and who knows where they are now. I had this huge thing for this little arc here planned, and cause my memory problems are getting worse, I don't remember the initial interactions I had planned for Zim and GIR that fit the major part of the story.

So this thing is very much in Hiatus and I haven't drawn most of 2023 I think. I still have one additional Post-Florpus comic I'm sitting on that I drew in 2019, but I hesitate uploading that one with no context to something I can't remember.

As always, this au is pretty personal to me, and while I am still working on FNAF stuff, I might come back to this officially one day.

But for now, I'll just give you some scraps I've been hoarding to myself for a full year.

The series is in Hiatus still, and I hope to find my joy of drawing again.

omg FINALLY this is my (and my son's) AU idea with development of the relationships between these characters

it's totally ZADR AU I know but I don't think that I'm doing smth gross like TOOOOO many antis people loves to think like "eww this is a proship" "don't ship THE CHILDREN" "Zim has no reproductive organs and he is 160+ y.o." "they're enemies your AU braking canon" and other boring nonsense...

I mean I tried to make my idea of Zim and Dib's relationship from enemies to lovers in the healthiest form? idk but if you feeling uncomfortable from this fact PLEASE don’t read this post, unfollow me and forget about my existence to make your life easier for you, take care of your mental health.

well, now i can start.

first stage of their relationship in this AU — mostly from nobody to friends (their feud ended according to Dib since he became disappointed with people and his father who forgot about Florpus) with slight romantic interest due to puberty from 13 to 15 y.o...

Dib believes for a long time that his sympathy for Zim is temporary and convinces himself that he is heterosexual but still there are moments of flirtation between them. Zim, in turn, considers Dib to be his closest person and most beloved but doesn't understand what romantic love is like many other Irkens therefore Zim reacts to Dib's flirting with embarrassment but takes note of this and learns

next level REAL romantic stuff where the feelings of both guys turned out to be mutual and they tried to have a serious romance from 16-20 y.o. and they became inseparable in most positive plan than they was in their 12 years before Florpus

still they can argue about something or deliberately piss each other off just to remember the old days when they was a children (their quarrels and attempts to anger each other most often proceed in a comic form and do not carry the goal of harming their lover. Moreover, they never use violence or manipulation against each other!!)

FINAL FORM. BOTH fathers (they have two children and they planing more xd) and already marriads of course, they doing about one job in the field of science (Dib replaces Professor Membrane, and Zim is his main assistant) and most often visit space and other planets to research and in some cases save life on them.

Dib still trying sometimes prove the paranormal although Zim doesn't interfere with his childhood dream at all and willingly maintains his interest and participates in this without endangering his disguise (likewise Dib doesn’t try to reveal Zim in the open)

anytime I post a video I’ve always edited them in CapCut! Nothing fancy, just the free version ✨ they’ve got handy tools for audio extraction for screen recordings I take to grab lines for a character, and easy to work w transitions, as well as noise isolation features too. There’s even an option to do GREEN SCREEN STUFF which I think is kinda unreal for smth that’s free?? Highly recommend!

As far as a free editing mobile app goes it’s very hardy!

To get the lines again I simply just screen record off of YouTube or tiktok if I find lines I like, then I’m able to import and stitch them all together. As for how I find VCs, oh man I’ve had a running list of 5 years on characters I think sound cool, then eventually I find the names of who matches who and I get to create a video!

I had been sitting on Idris Elba Megatron for SO. LONG. SO LONG. it was only until Sonic 2 came out where I had enough lines that fit soooo perfectly for my vision that I finally made a video. Invader Zim as Starscream was another one I’d been itching to do ever since Enter the Florpus came out!!

Haha I watch a lot (prob too much) tv so I’ve got a good stack of names and clips I’ve got saved for ideas down the line! I’m hoping to have the next line up for part 3 settled soonish, I’m just still hunting for a VC for Chromedome then I’m SET for the next trio

Okay, so I have a smaaaall idea for a possible fanfic/fan comic/au, so I'm just gonna say it in the lamest of terms that I can, feel free to take this idea and make it yourself as long as you give some credit and also tag me in the posts. Pre Enter the Florpus btw.

Zim realizes just how big the impact that Professor Membrane has on planet earth, and he tries to use it to his advantage. He kidnaps him one night without anyone knowing (somehow) and quickly makes a clone of him, programming it to be almost completely identical to Professor Membrane himself, except the clone is now loyal to the Irken race, making it to where if Zim told him to go do something in the name of the Tallest or whatever, he'd do exactly that. Though Zim made one tiiiiny mistake. You see, Zim isn't aware of what Dib's or Gaz's home life with Professor Membrane is like, and since Professor Membrane himself was still unconscious as he made and was programming the clone, he couldn't have asked him about it. So what did Zim do as to try and not get Dib suspicious about his new plan? He tried to make his father's clone as close as possible to the original... Except Zim ended up making him loving. More compassionate. More emotionally supportive and available, like how most of the other parents on earth act towards their children. So imagine the surprise that Dib experienced when he was just rambling on about ghosts and para-science to his dad, thinking that he'd not care at all about it like always and maybe even lecture him about believing in it once again, only to hear the first words out of his mouth be, "Wow son, that's amazing! Say, where did you learn that from? I honestly wouldn't be surprised if you taught yourself that though, as my boy has always been a smart one!" Immediately, Dib and Gaz noticed these differences from him, though Gaz was the only one who had gotten suspicious about it, as Dib was just so happy that finally his dad was actually being there for them!

The rest of it is basically Gaz doing a Dib and practically going insane as she tries to figure out what happened to their dad, meanwhile Dib doesn't believe that anything happened at all, despite the already clear evidence that something did infact happen, all the while Zim is trying yet failing to get "Professor Membrane" to do his bidding, as the clone is now mostly on Dib's side when it comes to their beef. I'm calling this the Professor Memfake Au, do with it whatever you like (besides gross pro shipping shit, never do that with my creations).

Wail Of The Siren - Master Post:

Wail Of The Siren is an AU where Dib and Gaz are sirens, it’s kinda an h2o like thing but instead of turning into sirens whenever they encounter water, they only turn into sirens when specifically in salt water.

Their transformation is much like that of Freeform’s Siren, which I haven’t watched but have seen some clips of.

Is post IZ: Enter The Florpus, does not line up with the comics (Other then issue 7) though because I haven’t read many of them.

Tak and Mimi are back, Skoodge and Tenn are also there after crashing on Earth.

Is ZaDr + TaGr centric, with some minor GaMf (could also be interpreted as GaMqp) KaZf, DaKf, KaSf, ZaSf, and TaSf (tenn and skoodge friendship). And also Gaz, Dib and Membrane.

Clembrane is there too :)

AU Summary:

Dib accidentally gets a chemical spilt on him and Gaz after accidentally dropping it while in Membrane’s personal lab. At first, the two don’t think much of it, other then Dib strangely eating raw fish at night a week after, until Dib and Gaz go to the beach.

Dib dives into the water, everything is fine and dandy at first. But then, he feels a strange sensation come over him, as if his legs are fusing together. They glance down at their hands in horror. They’re webbed, scaly and green.

He wonders what the hell is happening to him, but he then remembers the incident in the lab that occurred two weeks ago, putting two and two together.

The chemical had turned them into a siren. They go find Gaz to show her, Gaz is absolutely horrified, wondering what the hell happened to her sibling.

She asks what happened, Dib says he thinks it was the chemical. Gaz has an oh shit moment and wonders if that also means she’s a siren too. Dib figures that she probably is, and it is confirmed shortly after Gaz gets into the water. She’s a siren to.

After that, the story basically follows Dib and Gaz after they became sirens, with some ZaDr, TaGr and GaMf (or GaMqp depending on how you interpret it) and also Tenn, Skoodge and Keef as well.

What Lurks Beneath the Surface:

What Lurks Beneath the Surface is a sequel to Wail Of The Siren. It takes place a year after its predecessor and is a bit more darker (while still having the humor of the original) than its predecessor. Taking place directly on Dib’s 13th birthday. Everyone knows the superstition behind 13 being an unlucky number, and that couldn’t be more true here.

Dib and his family get kidnapped by a former friend of Professor Membrane, Devon Walters. On Dib’s 13th birthday.

Unlike its predecessor, It will dives into the depths known as Professor Membrane’s past, instead of what lurks on the surface.

Installment Summary:

It’s been a year since the chemical spill Professor Membrane’s lab, a year since Dib and Gaz became sirens.

It’s now Dib’s 13th birthday, nothing could go wrong right? Yeah right.

Zim and Tak, an unlikely duo now must save their partners Dib and Gaz, and their father, Professor Membrane from the clutches a ghost of Membrane’s past.

Road Trippin is the third and final installment of the series, taking place not long after What Lurks Beneath the Surface.

In it, Zim accidentally creates a smeet while on a strange planet and brings them home. Him and Dib and their friends then go on a crazy road trip, and chaos ensues, Zim feeling nervous about being a parent, though.

It also includes the AU’s ending, where Zim and Dib become ghosts. Same w/ the others.

Installment Summary:

Not long after the “Dib, Gaz and Membrane got kidnapped” incident Zim, Dib, Gaz, Tak and the others go on a road trip for the summer. With the addition of Zim’s and Dib’s new, accidentally created smeet, Seven. Chaos ensues.

However, out of all of her enemies, she hates one most. Frances "Fran" McKinley. A rude, snobby, bitchy rich girl. She just so happens to be the daughter of Rick and Micki McKinley. Two famous celebrities.

Despite Fran’s recent arrival, her, Vela and Ghost became quick enemies, after Fran figured what Vela really was. A Sirken freak.

Will the three put their differences aside and become friends, or something more? Or will they continue to be bitter enemies?

Crack AU where the Membranes are chasing Miyuki for the alimony she owes them. Please, just hear me out. puts on tinfoil hat & shipping goggles from Transformers fandom (Possibly OOC for certain characters) 2 major things happen: 1.)Violetta doesn't die in an accident & gets to be a mom to her test tube babies. This results in Gaz being a lot less aloof (tho still sarcastic) & Dib having slightly better social skills. 2.) Miyuki decides to be a bit of a heartbreaker & ditches the polycule Membranes after they've started up the process to create Dib & Gaz, right in the middle of the night. She takes back control of the Irken Empire & doesn't say much regarding where she was. Zim only survives because Miyuki shows up again after he was sent to Earth, & she doesn't remember the coordinates back there. No, she doesn't still have feelings for the Membranes that she buried because they would get in the way of ruling the Irken Empire, shut up about it. When Violetta meets Zim, she instantly realizes what he is, & this convo happens: Violetta: "VICTOR, GET THE SPRAY BOTTLE!" Prof Membrane: "My dear Violetta, what brou-" Violetta: "We have a Code Gold." Cue an absolute mess where Zim is confused as to how these humans know about Irkens beforehand, Dib realizes his parents are aliensmoochers, Skoodge seriously questions what his Tallest was thinking & the Resisty are really confused by their new "allies". Things get even weirder when the Florpus Hole is brought into the equation.

So yall might not know this if you've only seen the movie, but in the novel The Last Unicorn Shmendrick the magician had a master who once turned a male unicorn human in order to save him but couldn't turn him back. This creates the unspoken implication that King Haggard was that unicorn and the reason he was so bitter and could only find comfort in hoarding all the world's unicorns was because he was an immortal creature driven mad from being bound to a moral body, clinging to reminders of what he once was long after having forgotten.

Bearing that in mind: Zimvoid AU

Zib is King Haggard, a semi-immortal non-human creature bound to a mortal body who doesn't consciously remember his old life but still feels the pain of being ripped away from it. The Zimvoid is where he hoards all the Zims from different timelines just for the faint comfort of being reminded of his old life like the sea Haggard traps the unicorns in. The bug zapper, the beacon, and the system he tricked the Zims into participating in in order to keep them in line are all his Red Bull.

Post-Florpus Zim is the last unicorn. He begins like any other Zim, but experiences things no other Zim, or any other Irken for that matter, ever has; chiefly compassion. Because he was the only Zim to learn his mission was fake, he was the only one whose Dib ever showed him sympathy. And his Dib was also the only Dib to ever realize he doesn't need to prove Zim is an alien for his self-worth, and thus was able to see past his grudge, realize Zim is a victim, and try to make peace with him.

Post-Florpus Dib therefore, is Lir, the person who enables Zim to experience human emotions like love and regret, by offering him his first taste of unconditional love.

I have no idea if this has been asked, but it’s been in my mind. In your au, how do the different control brains bodies mean compared to the show? Such as the green and grey one with red eyes in the show only being one, while the trial brains having three and looking different? Or is that three from the trial how they truly look like, and the other smaller ones are portable vessels. And if incorporated, how does the imaginary one from enter the florpus fit in as well?

Ooh! I touched on this subject slightly in a past post and I actually managed to find it!

Fun fact; when ETF aired on Netflix, I hadn't watched Invader Zim in a long time. For some reason, I remembered there being a "purple-eyed brain", like the green and gray on on the TTHNG episode, but when I rewatched the series, I saw no scenes with a purple eyed control brain and I realized "oh, yeah, my memory sucks"...

So I made the purple brain a whole thing in my IZ aus just to justify the false memory.

As far as the control brains that appear in Zim's ETF daydream; I chalk that up to the red brain being the one he's seen most often. Hadn't thought about it before.

Irken Lore in WotS!

So, while Irken customs/culture isn’t really touched on in the fics, I thought I’d still talk about it though given I do have some stuff for it.

Section One: Post- Florpus Irk:

Irk is in SHAMBLES after Red and Purple’s likely death. It’s mass hysteria, as Tenn mentions in chapter 5 of the first fic.

Basically, Irk is SCRAMBLING to find new leadership. Irk was not the same after Red and Purple’s likely death.

What happens to Irk is up to the reader to decide, honestly. Because even I don’t know myself. Maybe they find a new leader? Maybe they don’t? Maybe they’re now struggling because they have no one to guide them? Who knows.

Section Two: General Information about Irk in this AU: (aka my hcs)

• Romance was banned and was only allowed for Tallests by a former Tallest. One that came even earlier than Miyuki and Spork. It was done out of spite, as that specific Tallest hated romance.

• Irkens have both reproductive organs, but they don’t really use them anymore given the existence of Smeeteries. And, nowadays it is looked down upon to have Smeets naturally.

• Being Defective is more common than people think.

• Romance was eventually unbanned after Red and Purple’s disappearance / likely death.

• Zim is kind of known as an outlaw (?) to Irkens and other aliens. He’s known as the Irken who somehow survived all odds, much to Red and Purple’s dismay. And for the fact he committed war crimes of course. (Despite only being a dumb kid at the time, but to be fair. Most Irkens were just dumb kids. Even the Tallest. Even if they were teenagers.) And, is also known for how he fell in love with a person of a completely different species. (Aka Dib, the siren/human.) which was something most Irkens didn’t think was possible. Same applies to Tak, but she isn’t as well known as Zim.

• Irkens purr and make cat like noises (ex: caterwauling.) and Smeets mew sometimes. (Especially if they’re upset.) They also make bug chirping noises. They’re catbugs.

• Irkens DO have tails, but they’re short and stubby and are often kept tucked into their clothes.

• More Irkens started realizing just how fucked up and corrupt Irk was after Red and Purple got sucked into the Florpus hole.

• Sizz-lorr is doing well. Just know that’s hes doing good. Maybe it’s best that Zim escape. • You only have to be 13 to drink alcohol , (as mentioned by Zim in chapter 2 of Road Trippin’) however, it is common for Irkens to engage in underage drinking.

• Gender doesn’t really matter on Irk. they don’t really have human gender norms.

Section Three: What happened to the Resisty? + Others :

• The Resisty is still alive and well! After BSDFBtS (backseat drivers from beyond the stars) they decided to open a space bar. (As mentioned in Chapter 2 of Road Trippin’) And while, the Resisty still exists, and are considered alien rights activists they also ran their space bar, lolz.

They serve food from different planets (minus Irk) but they especially serve Vortian food. (Ex: Vort Dogs.) and they also sell different types of drinks. (Including non alcoholic beverages.)

• Mr Dwinky is still alive and well. Mr Elliot visits sometimes. (I like Mr dwinky / mr elliot mkay)
