Breaking Storm 21.1.23

Mairuma. Old Guard. Sullivan x Poro. High fantasy AU, narrative rules AU.

Heroes, Villains, Bards, Tyrants, all walk the Earth and leave their mark on it time and time again. Delkira and his cohort will one day rule the world, but they had to traipse back and forth across it first.

Delkira is a rising young Villain, a Storm.

Poro is a Bard, utterly devoted to Delkira.

Sullivan, everyone agrees, should have been Delkira’s Rival, chasing him across creation in a mad dash to match their skills again and again. He caught up to him and joined him instead.

Way of the Househusband AU 1.3.22

Mairuma. Poro x Delkira.

Poro's husband is perfect. He's talented, intelligent, he cooks, he keeps house, puts up with Poro working all the time with endless support and nary a complaint to be found, and he's hotter then a raging inferno of hellfire even before he takes off his shirt and reveals the scars and and tattoos that decorate his upper body.

He is also a retired member of the Yakuza nicknamed the "Demon King", with some interesting hangups about power structures, no idea how normal society works, and a tendency to be too intense, but see again: Poro's husband is perfect.

• Delkira and Poro got hitched at about the same time that Delkira disbanded his gang and left the criminal underground.

• Poro knows that Delkira used to be yakuza, but has no idea how powerful or big a deal he was(he basically rulled the criminal world with his gang).

• Sullivan lives in the same neighborhood as Poro and Delkira, he used to be Delkira's top adviser in the yakuza and was absolutely ecstatic to see Delkira again when they ran into eachother in the streets.

• Sullivan himself is happily retired and dedicated to raising his recently-aquiered grandson, who appears to be attracting yakuza members of his own at an alarming rate.

• Sullivan kidnapped Iruma away from his parents in the immediate wake of Delkira dissolving his gang. When they got tangled up with the yakuza he saw Iruma, and decided that he wanted and deserved Iruma more than his parents did, and took him. Iruma is more than okay with this.

• Iruma is getting into so much trouble in the background. Neither Azz nor Kirio (both Yakuza) are helping.

Sabro distrusted AU 13.7.21 Baal’s traitorousness was discovered years before Iruma was even sold to Sullivan, and no-one trusts the Sabnock family in the wake of that, the harshest effects of which are felt by their second son; Sabnock Sabro. Iruma & Sabro friendship.

Ambiguous high school human/demon AU 14.7.21 Delkira is a demon who escaped from the netherworld and now has to keep his demonic nature secret while attending high school with a bunch of humans and attempting to deal with his crush on his classmate Poro. Then another one of his classmates, named Sullivan, comes to school with a little kid... who Delkira can immediately tell is a demon too, so his secret goes out the door for this because Sullivan desperately needs help raising Iruma. Unfortunately this has the side effect of making it look like he and Sullivan are together.

Balam & Iruma hanahaki AU 14.7.21 Iruma has hanahaki for his parents that he’s slowly getting over, this isn’t that big of a problem other than being indicative of an absolutely horrible home life, it’s a thing in the human world. Balam has hanahaki for Kalego, and this is a much bigger problem, because for demons hanahaki is rare as fuck, and he’s definitely not getting over it. They commiserate together over their disease.

some of these might kinda count as darkfic but I’m not 100%, sorry.  Delkira aid AU 14.7.21 Delkira becomes Demon King Iruma’s aid, doing the same job for Iruma that Sullivan did for him. Lots of background angst, including the fact that Sullivan is dead. (Possible time travel and reincarnation AUs set it this universe.)

Delkira’s Wings 15.7.21 Unexplained. Something is wrong with Delkira’s wings, and fixing it requires getting Sullivan to restrain him so he can’t shift around, and then letting him at his wing roots. And it’s gonna hurt, a lot. Poro walks in part way through and Sullivan has to tie him up as well to stop him from interfering because this really does not look good, and at the end of it all three of them are just very distressed.

Sullivan dies AU 15.7.21 Sullivan gets assassinated some time between Iruma getting Royal One and the Music Festival. Poro does not cope well at all. He goes by Sullivan’s house at some point because he needs to deal with some of Sullivan’s things, and that’s how he meets Opera, Iruma, and Alikred, all of whom are dealing with this horrible grief as well. Poro ends up with a new human grandson. And a butler. And a job as the chair-demon of Babylis. And a position as one of the Three Greats. He basically inherits all of Sullivan’s problems.

Familiar house 15.7.21 Sullivan never got Iruma — as the Netherworld goes more and more to shit thanks to Baal’s machinations, more and more demons find their way to the human world, where they end up homing as animals with a little blue haired boy.  Iruma finds its much easier to say no to people when he has a giant pink snake around his neck.

Paying for affection 15.7.21 Poro&Delkira, Poro/Delkira. ¿Reincarnation? ¿Modern AU? ¿Human AU? Heck if I know. Anyway about it Poro is very rich and Delkira is very much not. Delkira is still talented and smart and charismatic, but the world has done its best to kick him down and make sure he can’t get up. Poro on the other hand is depressed and touch starved and lonely, and puts out a request with a pay check attached for anyone over 13′ to hug him. (If this is reincarnation then they’re just completely missing eachother’s identity so I can draw out the angst.) Background Iruma&Delkira

Poro is a god AU 26.8.21 I was looking at the number of deity!Delkira ideas I’ve played around with and wondered what if I did it the other way around for once? Poro is a god, a deity, a Supreme Being. He may not have been the one who created this universe but he is by far the most powerful thing in it, the laws of its reality falling away beneath his fingers wherever he wants them to. He went and fell in love with the comparatively mortal and normal Delkira, and tripped straight into absolute loyalty and devotion. And, well... Poro is pretending to be a Yhod rank demon. He is very bad at it, especially because he keeps wanting to show off for Delkira and subsequently doing things that are straight-up impossible. That’s ignoring the fact that Yhod rank demons popping up out of nowhere with no backstory or records is not even a thing that really can happen in the first place. And on top of that the closer and closer Delkira and Sullivan get to Yhod rank themselves the more and more see-through his already extremely flimsy ‘of course I can do that, I’m Yhod rank and that’s just a thing that can be done at this level *nervous laughter*’ excuse becomes.

Scarborough Fair AU 21.7.21 Poro x Delkira Poro is a young musician. Praised for his voice above all, his talent carries him beyond his village once a year to the Scarborough Fair, where he preforms before hundreds amid the many festivities. And, where once a year, he gets to see Delkira, a beautiful man with long hair braided with pink flowers, a voice sweeter than anything even if he refuses to sing, and a tendency to refuse to tell Poro where he comes from. Delkira is a fae. This presents a problem, because he’s fallen in love with a human, and generally speaking humans don’t like his kind, claiming they are monsters who bewitch their prey by singing with the most beautiful voices in existence. (They can all go jump off a cliff, Poro sings more beautifully than anyone.) A couple of years in and people are guessing that one of them is a fae. Unfortunately, they’re guessing it’s the wrong one, and Delkira ends up having to sing to protect Poro. This changes everything, regardless of what Poro wants. The Queen of a Court is a big deal.

Music is god

9.9.21 Mairuma. Old Guard. Delkira x Poro. Genderfluid Poro.

Music rules in the Netherworld, it is everywhere and in everything, the strongest are the best musicians, and the best musicians are the strongest.

Delkira is not bad at music, actually he’s rather very good at it, but it doesn’t feel easy and natural and right the way war games do as he hunts and stalks and fights, the way a new spell or an irrecognizably twisted old one does as it gathers in his hands or on his tongue. During the Harvest Festival he was the only student who didn’t bring an instrument (he was not the only student who failed to use an instrument, but the others just lost their to carnivorous plants or other students before they could use them), which apparently made him seem rather feral and unexpectedly terrifying to the students he snuck up on as he wiped the event. For the last couple decades Delkira has carved himself into the history books on the battlefields and spell labs of the Netherworld, his loyal aid Sullivan at his side. However, with his gaze back on the majority of society for once, the top musician in the world is someone named Amduscias Poro, and Delkira is interested.

Poro hears there’s some new upstart entering the scene who’s a big enough deal in the war and spell circles for people to think he’s a credible threat to Poro. It’s unlikely, (musically at least, those who go into other sects of society usually do so only due to a complete and utter lack of musical talent, but traditional assassin does pose a threat) but Poro did not get to the top by being chill or ignoring their competition. They track, bribe, and sneak their way in to listen to a sample audition he’s been called to do, and their world gets blown away like never before.

Flying lemur monkey - also Sullivan, and kinda Ari-san. Look he died and now he’s a weird black spirit monkey thing that’s hanging around the temple until his precious grandson  student comes home.

Crazy old earth king - Delkira :) totally willing to mail-system rollercoaster around his own city and challenge visiting dignitaries or wandering Avatars to ack wass challenges on a whim while he threatens them with rock candy.

Fire uncle - Poro. Look I know it sounds weird but it works surprisingly well. And just like in canon he is betraying his king and kingdom to secretly join a small insurgent group dedicated to the very opposite of that kingdom because he has ✨feelings✨ about Delkira.

Delkira timetravel Slave 10.1.22

Old Guard. Delkira & Sullivan. Delkira x Poro. I’m back on my Mairuma nonsense for the moment ^_^ Delkira is a slave from thousands of years ago who attempted to escape slavery by throwing himself way forward in time and hoping for the best. It worked, but unfortunately Sullivan is Very Old and from near the end of slave times himself. Fortunately he disagreed with the whole idea and is more than willing to be Delkira’s ally.

@the-wip-project Day (???+/100) I correctly numbered everything I could without cross-referencing my paper journal, and I can now definitively state I’m past the 200 mark. Again I’ve posted less than the full thing and will hopefully post the elaboration later. In other news I’m dead tired and most of today somehow escaped me as though it melted into a liquid and dribbled out my ears so goodnight imma try to get some actual sleep.

Customer service Delkira AU 17.8.22

Delkira is stuck in the human world with no memory, working at a horrible little back-alley café. A little boy with blue hair who is definitely too young to be working legally gets a job there too, and Delkira decides he likes Iruma so no-one gets to fire him. Then Iruma’s parents sell his soul.

Sullivan shows up to take Iruma and Delkira goes from “how dare you touch my child” to “You! You are the person I want to send Iruma to!” In about three seconds.

“You think I gave Delkira his immortality?” Poro laughed. “By the time I met Delkira, he already possessed every gift I have the ability to bestow.”

In which Sullivan is the Lord of Dreams, Iruma is his Raven, Poro is a god, and Delkira is a human with an incredible knack for collecting favors from deities.

“Fool,” Delkira snarled, “gods are bound by Laws, I am bound by nothing.”

One year later, a partner piece to my Devidol Poro drawing; Delkira as he appears in my Devidol AU! (He really probably should be wearing the 13 Crowns‘ collar/thing but shhh we’re ignoring that because I forgot it.)

Also known as: In A World Where Delkira Does Not Want To Be The Demon King And Sullivan Got Stuck With The Job Instead.

Delkira and Poro are a duo act of Devidols, an undefeated couple ever since they debuted.

(Technically, Delkira is the only one who’s actually undefeated.

They met the first year they participated in the Devidol Games, when they entered on opposing teams and Delkira soundly defeated Poro. The second year played out much the same, and then the third year it looked like Poro was going to win until he threw his entire team under the bus, hard, in order to propose to Delkira. Delkira accepted, Poro joined his team, and they absolutely crushed the shocked competition for what is technically their first partnered win (if you ignore that Poro switched teams three-quarters of the way through).

Almost no-one actually remembers this anymore though, because they’ve competed together and won every year since.)

Demons don’t have soulmates. Humans have their current thoughts written on their soulmate’s skin.

Delkira (who is originally a human) never has had any indication of having a soulmate. Sullivan has always had Delkira’s current thoughts printed somewhere on his body, and has never had the slightest idea what’s up with that.

Dream world 24.8.22

Poro is stuck between two worlds; the waking and the dreaming, a state he can only linger in so long before he’s forced to choose a reality. Delkira is even returned to him in both of them, he just needs to identify which one is real.

But it’s not a question, he knows which world is the dream, he has from the beginning.

There’s just one problem; all his instincts are screaming that the dream Delkira is the real one.

Mairuma.

Actual ruler of Hell Delkira has ruled his realm unquestioned with Sullivan at his side since time immemorial.

So when during a visit to Earth, Sullivan suddenly adopts a little blue-haired human child and declares he is going to stay there to raise him, Delkira decides to stick around too, and see what kind of chaos he can cause in the Human Realm.

Human and vampire AU 10.8.22

Delkira is a vampire. Sullivan is a human, his closest (and only) confidant, his secret keeper, and his source of blood. This works until an emergency forces Sullivan to be turned as well, at which point they’re both in trouble.

Poro has never been able to figure out what was up with Delkira and Sullivan and their secretiveness much to his own frustration. But with Sullivan “sick” and Delkira growing weaker by the day, he’s solving the puzzle pretty quickly.

Superhero AU 24.7.22

Mairuma. Old Guard. Sullivan x Poro x Delkira

Poro, Delkira, and Sullivan were all superheroes once. They’d worked as a team, a trio with Delkira as the lead. Content to largely ignore the hero agency in favor of eachother even though with Delkira’s charisma he could’ve been in charge of the entire agency if he wanted.

Then Delkira went missing. Now Sullivan leads his own much larger team of superheroes, a group known as Babylis. And Poro is a supervillain, because if the heroes aren’t trying find Delkira, what use has he for being on their side?

Poro doesn’t really keep in touch with Sullivan. So when he sneaks into the hero agency’s headquarters to do a little bit of light theft, only to find that the hero agency has betrayed Sullivan and taken him prisoner*, it comes as a nasty shock.

*trying to force him to give them information on a child he’s protecting
