When I watched all the few episodes of Helluva Boss that show the development of the relationship between Loona and Blitzo, I started asking myself questions, which I’ll share with you today.
Tumblr media
Of course, true Helluva Boss fans will say that Loona is Blitzo’s daughter, because Vivziepop said so. But I’m not a true fan, and I’m considered problematic in the fandom, so I’ll think logically. In Blitzo's flashbacks, where he adopts Loona, we see a kennel full of anthropomorphic dogs.
Tumblr media
In this kennel, we see both an older dog who hasn't been adopted yet, as well as young puppies. This raises some questions—why are there no succubi in this kennel? Why are there even older dogs living in this kennel who need an owner to get out of there? It’s made clear that such kennels are a completely normal practice in Hell. Noted—keep this in mind.
Tumblr media
In one scene, there’s a hint that Loona eats dog food,
Tumblr media
and on top of that, Blitzo literally took her to the vet in the episode about vaccinations.
Tumblr media
Keep this in mind as well while reading further; you’ll understand why later.
Now, let’s imagine this scenario: Loona wants to move out and cut all ties with Blitzo, as well as with those she met through him (Millie and Moxxie), just to start an independent life. Uff... complicated situation. Blitzo is both her boss, her owner, and her neighbor, so by doing this, she would lose the only acquaintances she’s ever had—Millie and Moxxie. She’d be left without a roof over her head and without a job.
Tumblr media
What do we have as a result?
A being who is likely lower in the racial hierarchy than Blitzo, was taken from a kennel by him. Her entire life, including her job, is tied to Blitzo; she suffers from his abuse and, due to the factors listed above, cannot simply start living independently, even if she wants to. Hmm… what does this resemble? To me, it resembles actual slavery.
Tumblr media
Knowing all this, it’s especially disturbing to see Blitzo playing the "good father" role for her, and all she can do is tell him off and show seemingly unfounded aggression toward everyone. But if we dig deeper, her aggression is actually justified. Of course, Loona feels trapped, as if there’s no way out, and all she can do in this situation is just lash out because she can’t change anything.

"and here's my Cameo"
the office is so good, it feels like home. Edwin and Charles built their home piece by piece, like a nest. What do you think is Edwin's most precious posession?
I loved the lamps; I counted at least 15. Do those warm and magical lights have a particular meaning or symbolism?
Is there an object you would give the boys to put in the office as a gift?

Taking a short break from the One Day One Shot marathon to show off some new room displays.
More wooden boxes from Daiso to act as shadow boxes on it wall, with a surprising amount of versatility (and stability) for larger figures.
That QPosket Bulma is the real star here, a fun and bouncy little figure with great colors. We picked that up at Akiba House in Queens for a fraction of the retail price. Just an awesome little accent to the room.

Touch Me” by The Doors is a captivating song from their 1969 album The Soft Parade. Written by guitarist Robby Krieger, it weaves together elements of soul, proto-prog, and traditional pop music. Let’s delve into the themes and musical nuances of this iconic track: Lyric Exploration: The song was initially referred to by various working titles, including “I’m Gonna Love You” (from a line in the chorus) and “Hit Me” (a reference to blackjack). Lead singer Jim Morrison changed the lyric from “C’mon, hit me … I’m not afraid” to “Touch Me” out of concern that rowdy crowds at their live shows might mistakenly interpret “hit me” as a challenge to physically assault him. At the end of the song, Morrison can be heard shouting “stronger than dirt”, which was a slogan from an Ajax commercial. Musical Style and Structure: Influences: The track incorporates influences from traditional pop music. Intro: The introduction is notated in the key of Bb Minor with a 4/4 time signature. Guitar Riff: Krieger interpolated the guitar riff from the 1967 Four Seasons song “C’mon Marianne”. Saxophone Solo: The song features a jazz-inflected saxophone solo played by Curtis Amy—a rarity in rock hits at the time. Overall Style: Critics have described it as a “solid gold soul classic” with a touch of pop and lounge style. Chart Success: Released as a single in December 1968, “Touch Me” climbed to No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 (their last Top Ten hit in the US) and No. 1 in the Cashbox Top 100 in early 1969 (the band’s third American number-one single). The single also performed well in other countries, reaching No. 1 in the RPM Canadian Singles Chart and No. 10 in the Kent Music Report in Australia. In summary, “Touch Me” combines soulful melodies, brass, strings, and a memorable saxophone solo, making it a standout track in The Doors repertoire. Its themes touch upon desire, vulnerability, and the power of human connection. 🎶🚪🔥

Allegra Krieger — I Keep My Feet On The Fragile Plane (Double Double Whammy)
Tumblr media
I Keep My Feet on the Fragile Plane by Allegra Krieger
On her new album, I Keep My Feet on the Fragile Plane, Allegra Krieger’s songwriting continues to evolve in subtle and pleasing ways. Last year’s Precious Thing foregrounded her deftly fingerpicked guitar, while this new record highlights her strengths as a vocalist. Barely a moment passes without her voice proudly standing front and center, leading the listener through bittersweet songs that surrender to the ebb and flow of how it feels to be a twenty-something woman in twenty-first-century America.
Though the focus is primarily on Krieger’s voice and guitar, captured on tape by co-producer Luke Temple (Art Feynman, Here We Go Magic) and collaborator Jeremy Harris, many of the songs are also embellished with Sammy Weissberg’s colorful horn arrangements. There’s the plaintive, scene-setting intro to “A Place For It To Land,” which soon gives way to thick synthesized bass, and the horn melody on “I Had Some To Give” cleverly calls out in response to Krieger’s vocal. The spectral fingerpicked arpeggios on aching highlight “Let It Go, Watch It Come Back” are soon warmed by the swell of pedal steel and upright bass. And on stark centerpiece “I Wanted To Be,” the tension coiled within Krieger’s voice clenches the song ever tighter, finally erupting in a crescendo of discordant electric guitar.
Across the album’s scant 27-minute runtime, Krieger keeps many of the songs running breathlessly into one another. It all culminates in “Lingering,” the album’s sole drum-driven track. The song’s slow-motion sway feels contrary to how it might otherwise, given it arrives last and acts as a landing rather than a taking-off point. With it, Krieger leaves the listener with an indelible image: “Pictures on the white walls / Black mold on the ceiling / An old light lingering around everything.”

Prompt idea! The first 300 words of an AU you've never written for before 👀
Tumblr media
Lexa’s left eye twitches irritability as she once again feels fat water droplets spray against her feet, interrupting the entirely pleasant nap she’d been having, where she and Ali Krieger had been having a tasteful yet romantic dinner somewhere in the French countryside. Sitting up and shoving her large sunglasses off her eyes with one annoyed swoop, she blinks against the suddenly bright rays of sun that crowd her vision.
It was the perfect pool day at  Polis’s community pool- bright, cerulean sky, a soft, warm breeze, and the temperatures teetering just under 90 degrees. Lexa had seized the chance to sunbathe and read for a few hours on her day off work, shut off her pager, and practically skipped down the street to get settled on a lounger, ready to sip ice water and read sapphic smut until her eyes crossed, all while solidifying her tan in the teeniest bikini she owned.
However, for the past thirty minutes, some little snotty-nosed kid (probably un-supervised and just itching to cause mischief), had been sporadically sending showers of water arching through the air to mist Lexa as she sat innocently in her perfectly positioned chair, placed specifically to get the maximum amount of afternoon sunshine possible. It’s not that Lexa didn’t like kids- she adored Raven and Anya’s adopted son, Aden, with every fiber of her being. However, random children in the general public? Lexa generally avoided them, finding them sticky, whiny, and rude.
Another scattered shower of chlorinated water doused her feet as she felt her patience waning rapidly. Standing up, she felt her eyebrows slide into a glower as she searched for the culprit. Seeing a dark-haired little girl pop up like a seal from the bottom of the pool, a bright smile stretching across her face as she triumphantly popped up, water frisbee in hand, Lexa leveled a finger at the kid, whose smile quickly vanished as she took in Lexa, towering over her on the pool deck, clad in a black swimsuit.
“It’s rude to splash strangers, you know-“ Lexa had begun to grumble indignantly to the little kid, eyes searching for the parent of this clear mischief maker, when the most beautiful woman Lexa had even laid eyes upon swam up beside the little girl, hosting her onto her hip and lovingly smoothing the wet hair out of her eyes before leveling a glare packed with the heat of a thousand suns onto a suddenly stunned Lexa-
“You scold my kid again, you’re going to get a lot more than a little bit of pool water on you, lady.”

Yes, this is, of course, a personal opinion, but I kind of gives me the ick when children are so overexposed or even used with sponsors an things like that.
That’s why I love how Irene and her wife do it. Their child goes to matches, he may appear on TV, and he is an active participant in that part of his mum’s life, but they don’t really show his face in social media. It’s like an extra layer of security, and also respecting how he may want to show himself in social media when he is older.
In Evie’s case, she is old enough to consent if she wants to hacer her picture posted.
i personally i am very close to this as someone who learnt my mum was posting me on Facebook when someone i didn't like said they saw a photo of me. the account was private but my mum was friends with them but i didn't know and that hurt me. i banned her from posting me and she was upset and refused for a year but i refused to have my photo taken until she agreed and passive aggressive comments were made for four years until i snapped and i said she could post them as long as she asked me first. i was around seven/eight at the time. social media is permanent and i am very happy the photos aren't out there especially since my transition
i am not a huge fan at all of how harper and koby's faces are shown on social media, there's also photos of them naked in baths as babies and things are on show and that's just not it. i get where katrina is coming from sometimes with raising awareness of mums in sport but i think players like alex morgan, crystal dunn, tameka yallop and ali krieger/ashlyn harris just generally strike that balance a lot better if not perfectly. i think lina and lisa hurtig do it the best
anyway for the headcanons on the kids level of privacy of social media please read below
evie: her face is shown occasionally but lucy has always let her approve it and it's rarely a photo of her when she's not playing football or she's on the pitch/supporting her family. the occasionally when the rule is broken is a photo of her not showing her face walking narla or a couple of photos of her playing football in lockdown
lissa: she rarely appears on daan and ellie's feed especially during the season. she can be seen in a couple of their stories maybe once a month and more often on international breaks. her face isn't hidden but it's never a photo of just her, it's more often a family photo. daan and the dutch team much prefer to do photos from her point of view, lissa has always loved a camera so they have a little series sometimes where they post photos/videos that lissa has taken. it's always cute and keeps lissa's privacy
emy, sienna and matteo: no face on social media or anywhere intentional until she and sienna make their senior debut then it's pretty hard to avoid. even then no public social media until they are 16. matteo rarely if ever appears online even as an adult
élia and lluc: you would have to work hard to find any photos of them anywhere until they turn around 5 or 6 and then there are a few alexia posts of them playing football. their faces are never out there but they will reference their existence in posts or in the media occasionally when talking about their life. they also posted a photo of their feet when they were born but nothing more. however, jenni and alexia's entire storage is filled with photos they will willing show to anyone who says so much of a single word about their kids
frøya: the world doesn't ever even know her birthday. but there are some photos of her back and feet where you can appreciate her stylish shoe collection and ingrid's ability to style her hair. when she's on a pitch with them, ingrid has her wear sunglasses that she's labelled as special to hide her eyes. frøya thinks it's funny to not see that well so she doesn't mind
tilde and elvy: they pop up occasionally, more often on their stories but only in family photos and only when the kids agree to it. they are also spotted on the pitch and on denmark and sweden socials in their constant competition about where they have more fun and which country is better but only ever with permission and it's often the back of their heads and on their stories. they often make use of their close friends story to post about them to just a select few people especially their former chelsea teammates
