"You can leave now if you want"
Regulus got out of the trance of watching Cissy sleep peacefully. He had decided to stay with his cousins after the fight from last night.
Narcissa had cried her heart out because of Lucius Malfoy. Everyone had known he had been a twat, everyone had warned Cissy. But she had been blindly in love.
Regulus had been wondering lately how people become so stupid and blind for love. If it hurt that much, then why did people bother? Why did love have to be a tragedy? Andromeda had left the family because of Tonks. Sirius had hit their father because of Lupin. Was it worth all the madness? To betray your own family? To betray yourself?
Regulus had never experienced something like that.
Bellatrix was sending him a hateful glare from her spot beside her sister on the bed. Reg had taken the couch. She looked so small and pale without makeup.
It had been ages since they had slept in the same room. Regulus remembered how the five of them used to do sleepovers. Like the time Sirius decided to put glue on Cissy's hair in the middle of the night and they woke to her loud screams. Or the time Andy brought a bunny and it pooped on Sirius's sleeping bag and he smelled. Bella's creepy terrorific stories about the Boogie Man. Those made Regulus so scared he peed himself and they all made fun of him in the morning.
It had been fun anyway. They had been a normal family back then.
Now Bellatrix hated Regulus's guts, he was sure. She had become a bitter woman. And even more scary than before.
"I want to make sure she's okay" Regulus gestured to Cissy.
"She'll be fine" Bella whispered "I'll make sure of it...." she added "And I'll make sure Malfoy pays for whatever he did to her"
Lucius was going to propose last night. He had shown Regulus the ring. Although the bomb of his infidelity had exploted before that. Seven years of relationship must've meant something for him but no.
"All they want from us is our money and prestige" Bella said mostly to herself as she caressed Cissy's blond hair "That's why we have to be careful"
Regulus sat up and rubbed his eyes.
"Doesn't Rabastan want your money as well?" Regulus asked carefully, remembering how he had found them last night "What are you doing with him, Bella? He's a nasty pig"
Bellatrix tried not to react to those words.
"That's different!" she snapped "It is strategic" she swallowed "It was about time our families merged and made business together" she explained "It was supoosed to happen when Rodolphus and And...."
Regulus didn't say anything. He hadn't said anything about how Sirius had dragged him to see Andromeda when they ran off Alphard's funeral. Then before Christmas as well. Reg was scared to say anything. What the family might do, might say. It had been nice seeing Andy again. He didn't want to be taken that away.
But he could see how the mere thought of Andromeda was hurting Bellatrix.
"Now it is Rab's responsability and mine as well" Bella continued "It is the only way Grandfather would consider me... If I marry him..."
Regulus felt a knot on his throat. He hadn't liked the way Rabastan was treating his cousin last night. Trying to take advantage of her.
"I'll do anything to own The Family's Company myself"
"Even marrying that arsehole, Bella?" Regulus snapped, getting up from the couch and walking to the bed and looking at Cissy "If Malfoy is bad, then Rabastan is worse. I don't understand how can you let it happen"
"It's for a greater good!" Bellatrix spat "Sometimes is about doing the right thing for your family and yourself" she rolled her eyes "At least I am doing something! Where is the precious Heir, ha? Where was he last night when we needed him? When Grandfather lost his shit and yelled at all of us?"
Regulus understood what Bella was saying. It happened when Andromeda left Rodolphus on the altar. She wasn't there to see the consequences, how Grandfather hit his Uncle Cygnus in front of everyone, how he humiliated Bella, Cissy and his Auntie Druella.
I was happening the same with Sirius. Even if the rest of the family officially didn't know how Sirius had left for real this time. Even if Grandfather didn't know all the nasty business Orion had behind his back, that Walburga was aware of course. Grandfather didn't know what Sirius had said that night. How he said he was gay and now was dating a boy.
Only the absence of Sirius in the party had made Pollux scream at Regulus's parents like a maniac, toss things, hit tables. He was ten times worse than Orion, Walburga and Uncle Cygnus combined.
All of them were scared of him.
"I told you he...he's a-at Hogwarts with his fri-iends" Regulus wished he hadn't sounded that nervous.
Bellatrix was right. At least she and Regulus had to witness those horrible moments. And the one's causing them are not around.
Bella scoffed "Please..." she said with disdain "He's never around. He doesn't care about being the Heir or anything related to the family" then her eyes travelled to her sleeping sister and stroked her hair once more "They are never around when we need them the most"
Bellatrix kissed Cissy's head to hide her tears. Regulus didn't need to ask who she was referring to.
It used to be five of them. They used to be family before, Maybe stronger to face anything. Their parents and Grandfather. Not anymore. It was just three of them. Maybe Sirius and Andromeda didn't care.
"You're right" he whispered, his cousin looked at him curiosly "They are never around anymore"
Bella twisted her mouth "So I guess it would be the two of us competeting for the crown, ha?" she smiled "Watch it, Reggie. I fight hard"
Regulus found himself smiling. It sounded ridiculous that he would be considered. Grandfather Pollux had always hated him and considered him weak. Although with Sirius out of the picture, it would be hell. Pollux would need an Heir somehow. He was the only male grandchild now.
"Okay, Bella" Reg said giving Cissy's arm a soft pat.

Obsessed with how you portray father Cygnus (I hate black sisters abuse theories) please give us all your headcannons for him!
You and me both, anon! My headcanons list for daddy warbucks is ENDLESS so here are a good chunk. Enjoy!
◜    ۞    ◞   he’s a Black through and through. Tall, broad, grey eyes, black hair, classically handsome even as he gets older and older. Behind Tom Riddle he was certainly one of the most handsome boys at school despite that he’s 2 years younger than Tom.
◜    ۞    ◞   his best subjects were arithmancy, astronomy and alchemy.
◜    ۞    ◞   his magical expertise is astounding — of course it is, he’s a Black — he can recall histories of ancient lineages in his sleep and he practices rune mapping regularly. His skin is littered in runes, though admittedly, not as deeply as Orion’s is.
◜    ۞    ◞   like all Blacks he relies on his name more than anything else. They’re arrogant but they’re not show-offs like the Malfoys. They’re haughty but not snooty like the Rosiers. More than anything he knows how steeped in ancient and dark magic the Blacks are and he draws on that heavily, investing himself deeply in their unique, powerful, dark magic.
◜    ۞    ◞   he also loves hunting (muggle hunting is a favourite), wizards chess, collecting dark artefacts — which he’s been doing for as long as he can remember, having ludicrously expensive things imported from all over the world. It was a hobby of his fathers which he shared interest in.
◜    ۞    ◞   Speaking of his dad, he and Pollux had a lot in common but Pollux’s pride and joy was always Walburga.
◜    ۞    ◞   Pollux pushed him for a career in magical law with the Ministry. Irma wanted him to become an alchemist. Alchemy was his passion, a passion he later shares with his eldest daughter, Bellatrix.
◜    ۞    ◞   He excelled in magical law enforcement anyway, taking additional studies to become a magilawyer. He climbs quickly in the Ministry, moving from junior to senior within the space of about four years. By the age of 30 he’s the head of magical law enforcement, the youngest wizard in Ministry history to reach that position.
◜    ۞    ◞   For a long time he remains magilawyer primarily keeping purebloods out of Azkaban and supporting the imprisonment of mudbloods. Yes he’s a corrupt wizard, no he does not care.
◜    ۞    ◞   he’s heir (English side, Orion is the French side’s heir) to the wealthiest family in the world. He has more gold than he knows what to do with. When he returns from the continent he invests it heavily in Lord Voldemort, who he’s always thought has absolutely the right ideas about blood purity and whom he genuinely admires (despite that he was not invited to become a knight at school).
◜    ۞    ◞   Cygnus refuses to take the mark unlike many of his former classmates. Voldemort would’ve killed him for refusing him but Cygnus is useful and loyal despite his refusal to play destroy for him. Voldemort immediately uses him for keeping his death eaters out of prison if they’re ever caught, which isn’t often — and for writing new rules into the law systems of magical Britain.
◜    ۞    ◞   he and Druella were a love match, though she is his complete opposite. His father approved of the match (she’s a good standing pureblood witch after all) but his mother didn’t and wanted him to marry a Black, likely his cousin Lucretia. She relented because of Walburga, who made the point of — what does it matter? His children will still be Blacks.
◜    ۞    ◞   onto his babies!!! He’s very very proud to be a girl dad. He adores his three witches, every single one of them is the absolute light of his life and he understands them completely. He gets Bellatrix’s adventurous mind and rebellious spirit, he gets Andromeda’s academic mind and quirky spirit, he gets Narcissa’s pristine mind and sweet spirit. He adores them for their uniqueness and very much encourages them to explore and pursue their passions.
◜    ۞    ◞  baby Narcissa curled up on his chest is guaranteed to make him fall asleep within seconds.
◜    ۞    ◞   Druella definitely marks him down as the reason Bellatrix takes the mark and Andromeda becomes politically minded against their way of life. Cygnus takes none of the blame because his girls have always been single-mindedly passionate to what they believe in.
◜    ۞    ◞   Andromeda’s leaving wounds him deeply, but only furthers his closeness to Bellatrix and Narcissa, remaining very much a deep and fixed part of their lives.
 ◜    ۞    ◞   he’s daddy as fuck.
◜    ۞    ◞   100% Alphard was his best friend. He did not approve of him being disowned for giving Sirius gold, though he did heavily disapprove of Sirius’s actions against the family.
◜    ۞    ◞   Walburga is the love of his life, he adores his big sister though he finds her intolerable at times (as all siblings do). He bends over backwards for her and does it without thinking twice. He is also exceptionally protective of her — cut to Cygnus decking Orion in the face for calling her a stuck up bitch and Walburga telling him she ‘wanted to do that herself!’
◜    ۞    ◞   Narcissa has done him the most proud for her family values and her integrity.
◜    ۞    ◞   Bellatrix has done him the most proud for her strength, ability, power and position in society.
◜    ۞    ◞   he approved of Bellatrix being taught magic by Voldemort when she’s 15 — after all, she’s practically a child and Voldemort is older than him what’s the worst that could happen?
◜    ۞    ◞   He didn’t realise how in love with him she was until he hears them conversing when she’s 19 and engaged to Rodolphus Lestrange. He didn’t mean to listen in, but he overhears her begging him not to marry her to Rodolphus and take her instead. He says no but that it won’t change things between them, she’ll always be his first. It stilts Cygnus entirely and he leaves quickly. He never shares what he hears with anyone, even Bellatrix.
◜    ۞    ◞   he finds out about Orion and Bellatrix’s affair first. He finds them asleep together when they’re in Orion’s home in France.
◜    ۞    ◞   if he could, he’d have had her marry Sirius and keep the Black family name. As it is, he was too young for her and also she seems dead set against having children anyway — and he doubts Sirius could change her mind, so he relents against his preferences for her marriage.
◜    ۞    ◞   as for Rodolphus I have two ideas for how this could go: either way he loves his son in-law, they have an excellent relationship and they’re both dangerously protective of Bellatrix. 1. Rodolphus and Bellatrix have been best friends since their childhood, it makes sense they marry each other. Bellatrix doesn’t mind so much, he’d make for an easy enough match and she does seem to adore the wizard. It’s an easy engagement, easy marriage, and they make a beautiful couple. 2. Rodolphus is Cygnus and Voldemort’s age, a former peer of theirs. Rodolphus never marries and never shows he’s interested in Bellatrix. Bellatrix expresses her interest in him directly to a very surprised but perfectly pleased Cygnus who agrees he’s an exceptional wizard and would make for a brilliant husband. Plus if Orion proves anything, he knows his girl has always liked her older wizards. They court for some time, get engaged within a year and married in the next — again they make a beautiful couple.
◜    ۞    ◞   he is not keen on Lucius Malfoy despite that he seems to dote on Narcissa and bend to her every whim. Narcissa deserves far better — but honestly no one would be good enough for his most precious girl, so fine.
◜    ۞    ◞   He knew about Bellatrix and Voldemort’s affair and did everything in his power to keep it from ruining his daughter’s reputation which he felt she was being reckless about.
◜    ۞    ◞   he tried to talk her out of it multiple times but it only seemed to further her closeness to Voldemort and Voldemort’s iron-tight grip on his daughter.
◜    ۞    ◞   one day when he finally confronts him, Voldemort says if he wanted to make his pretty little daughter his personal whore he would, and who would stop him? Certainly not Cygnus Black. Cygnus (in his very characteristically Black temperament) pulled all Black funding from under Voldemort’s feet and found himself on the other end of Voldemort’s wand. When Cygnus refused to relent despite the threat of death, Voldemort turned his wand onto Bellatrix. He had the choice — continue giving him the gold he wanted or lose his heiress. He didn’t think he could actually kill her given how close they were and how heavily involved with everything Bellatrix was (and quite frankly, how obsessed and possessive of Bellatrix Voldemort appeared to be) but Cygnus complied.
◜    ۞    ◞   he once more risked Voldemort’s wrath by demanding the man at least have the decency to marry his daughter when he gets her pregnant. Voldemort only laughed and Cygnus lost what little respect for him he had left after that. Though he continues supporting the cause, he actively avoids Voldemort unless he can’t. Even then, he speaks to him with a candour and freeness no one else (except Walburga and Pollux) seem able to.
◜    ۞    ◞   Despite that, he absolutely adores his little granddaughter (more than his grandson, sorry Draco). Delphini means the world to Cygnus and he’s grateful to Walburga for legitimising her.
◜    ۞    ◞  the most devoted, hands-on grandfather you will ever come across. Absolutely spoils his girl rotten just like he did her mother.
◜    ۞    ◞  he continues hunting well into his older age, almost always solely with Bellatrix. It hurts him just a little she goes with Voldemort more than him. During the height of the war he never sees her without him nor him without her.
◜    ۞    ◞   he loses his job when he fights for Bellatrix’s release from Azkaban prison. He’s disbarred and revoked of his positions and titles. He’s heart broken and inconsolable at his daughter’s imprisonment, his most beautiful, shining star chained behind bars. He misses her beyond belief and not Walburga, Druella or Narcissa are able to pull him from his grief.
◜    ۞    ◞   he dies from the heartbreak of losing Bellatrix to Azkaban and then soon after, Walburga’s death. No one is with him when he passes, but his hand is tight around the picture he keeps of Bellatrix with him all the time. Delphini takes the picture and keeps it herself.

Children of Characters from Fate: The Winx Saga:
I've been thinking about making a list of the characters that I've written and that Sanya could possibly mention, there are also new children that will appear due to Sanya's Time Leap, and I thought about listing them all, even if later I'll I have to update this list, because my head keeps coming up with ideas about this fanfic! Most of these children would appear in one of the parallel stories, in this case, the four books: "Tree of Life", "New Aurora Borealis", "Lullabies Never Sung" and "The Heart of the World", are few children compared to the entire story I have already written.
I could give some physical descriptions but I will limit myself to giving a brief presentation of these children and talking about their ages, some of them are known here but others I haven't even mentioned.
Stella x Beatrix: (Let's start with the most obvious, please)
★ Estrella: She was adopted at the age of four and lost her parents due to the witch hunt that takes place throughout the Magic Dimension, she began to be raised by the couple in the middle of the political war between Eraklyon and Solaria, she is a blood witch — Current age: 19
★ Dia: Is their first biological daughter, she was born a lunar witch, one thing that's unusual between her and her sisters is that she was born exactly like her grandmother, Luna — Current age: 13
★ Ellie: Eleanor's older twin, she was born a solar witch, and she is Ignacio's best friend — Current age: 12
★ Eleanor: Ellie's younger twin, she was born a light fairy, she is in love with Thalassa. Before the Time Jump, Eleanor committed suicide due to Aaron's abuse — Current age: 12
★ Sanya: Born a hybrid, she is a massive representative of peace between the two races, she got a Witch's Hat much earlier than her other siblings and has a natural talent for brewing potions (especially poisons) but all of this was only possible after the Time Leap, she is Cadenza's best friend — Current age: 11
★ Marina: She is the first child born after the Time Leap, she is a sea witch, personally closer to her sisters, Vega and Sanya — Current age: 8
★ Castor: The only child who has Beatrix's brown eyes, she was born after the Time Leap, she is Pollux's twin sister and was born an air fairy — Current age: 6
★ Pollux: The only child born with the light green eyes of her grandfather, Radius, she was born after the Time Leap, she is Castor's twin sister and was born a forest witch — Current age: 6
★ Cosmos: Named after his grandmother (Beatrix's mother), he was born an air fairy, is the only boy in the family, and is a Stella's mini copy, just like half the children — Current age: 5
★ Cressida: She is a new species of fairy, a gold fairy, is the only one born with brownish hair in the family, she has all of Beatrix's personality and needs to take classes to control her magic — Current age: 4
Beatrix x Eraklyon's prince (relationship never consummated or existing)
★ Vega: Beatrix and Eraklyon's prince daughter, she was born through black magic and not through normal conception, which is why she has no magic of her own, as if she were made of clay, she is the rightful and only heir to the Eraklyan throne — Current age: 11
Bloom x Sky:
★ Ruben: The eldest son, he was the guardian of the Dragon Flame until Marion was born, he would possibly be Eraklyon's heir if Sky had not left the line of succession, has a slight crush on Estrella — Current age: 16
★ Marion: Their first daughter and second child, she is the current bearer of the Dragon Flame, and Domino's future ruler, she was extremely close to her mother before she disappeared, in love with Breezy and reciprocated — Current age: 14
★ Ignacio: Their third and last child before the divorce, he was born with a very small amount of magic so Sky trains him to be a Specialist, he doesn't understand why his parents separated but he loves his stepmother — Current age: 12
Bloom x Isobel "Icy"
★ Angel: She is their first daughter, she was born a heat witch, Angel has always been a little shy with her half-siblings, especially with Ruben since he doesn't seem to like her, but she has a good relationship with her other siblings, she is the future Duchess of Daniels — Current age: 10
★ Blanche: Cymbeline's older twin sister, born a normal fire fairy, generally avoids Ruben anyway because of her fear of him, but she gets along very well with Pollux and Castor — Current age: 8
★ Cymbeline: Blanche's younger twin brother, born an ice wizard, he hates Ruben because of his similarity to Sky and the way he acts with his older sisters, apart from he has a good relationship with all his siblings, but he is especially close to his cousins — Current age: 8

★ Dorian: Their only son, Musa had him at a time when she had a relapse with Sam, but never wanted to get back together with him, so they were separated but Sam visited the boy, and Musa married Riv, who sees him as a son. Dorian is an mind fairy — Current age: 17
Musa x Riven
★ Callypso: Cadenza's twin brother, he is a mind fairy, he is extremely quiet and loves to play the drums, he and his sister use Runic Blockers at certain times because of how strong their magic is, this is due to the fact that they are the children of a Guardian Fairy — Current age: 12
★ Cadenza: Callypso's twin sister, she is also a mind fairy, unlike her brother, she is extremely active and, at times, even aggressive, Riven teaches her from a young age to defend herself, she and her brother use Runic Blockers at certain times Because of how strong their magic is, this is due to the fact that they are the children of a Guardian Fairy — Current age: 12

★ Emily: Their only daughter, she was born a human but still, taking after her mother, she had a very strong connection with animals, she is the crown princess of Tir Na Nog and faces great criticism for being a human who will assume the throne of the central kingdom of the Earth Fairies (the non-magical Earth/the human world) — Current age: 15

★ Mia: Queen Krystal's youngest daughter, she is still too young for any radical activity, but she is already trying to climb the castle's shelves and furniture.
★ Ramone: Eldest son of Queen Galatea, the current ruler of Melody, and Hendrix's twin brother, he was born a mind fairy, and in terms of appearance is identical to his twin, even though it is quieter and calmer.
★ Hendrix: Ramone's twin brother, he is the second son of Queen Galatea, he was also born a mind fairy, and unlike his twin, he is much more agitated, he crawls everywhere and the maids and butlers go crazy.
★ Sophia: Selina's daughter, she is an earth fairy and is a childhood friend of Marion, as their mothers knew each other since they were young, she lives in the Forest of Flowers, in Gardenia, where her mother's old Fairy Godmother lived, and where it is now an area protected by a seal made by Flora.
Well, that's it, I'm sorry it's not much but these are the ocs that I remember at the moment, each of them with their own story, to be more exact, Stellatrix's children and Skloom and Bloomtrix's children would all appear in "New Aurora Borealis", it would be a book of maximum 300/400 pages with just one plot that would involve these children.

Snippet to my latest smut update
“No! I’m not doing it Hazel! You can’t make me!” I was trying to escape my annoying little sister, but she was on my heels coming in hot.
“Please!! Nico please!! Just do the Rush stuff with him! It’s the first time Alpha Omega has had an open bidding. The first time they didn’t pick the bids! Anyone can rush! Frank has wanted to rush Alpha Omega since we arrived and he always gets cast aside as not good enough. This year over twenty of the members graduate so they have a lot of open spots! Please!! It’s not like you are going to want to actually join, I just need you to help him!” It was true, Franks been talking about joining the Alphas for a long time. I also know that Last year they tried to recruit me. They know I can slip in and out of places easily. I helped one of their members sneak into a liquor store and steal a few kegs once. Ever since they have been trying to get me to join.
“I’m a lone wolf Hazel, I don’t need a pack.”
“But Frank does! Please I’ll do anything!”
“Like let me use your car anytime I want? For a year?” I could see her breaking at that statement. She didn’t want to give up the new car dad had bought her.
“Get him in and I’ll sign it over to you.”
Fuck! I guess I’m pledging to Alpha Omega.
(Timebreak)
I hate my sister.
Frank and I were assigned to one of the chapter houses, it was a big frat so there were four of them. They put 5 pledges to each. I hate my sister because I’m standing next to her boyfriend in a fucking chicken costume. There is apparently some strange celebration tonight and we are stuck making the food for it. It had been this way all week, some dumb or embarrassing thing we are assigned to for the week. They apparently don’t count this as hazing. The school has a no hazing policy. What the school doesn’t know is that we are sworn to secrecy and if we break it they will come after us, apparently that happened once and the guy ended up transferring because of the hell they rained down on him.
I didn’t need a bunch of preppy Neanderthals looking into my personal life or my family, so whatever they had in mind for hazing I could take. Part of me was hoping it was like those hazing videos on pornhub... not so much luck. All week it had been cleaning the house in awful costumes. We had to hand out flyers for the mixer tonight dressed as chickens and then we will be serving the food the same way. Brother Jason was in charge of us for the week, but we really just reported to him. We still had to do the bidding of all the residents in this house. There was Brother Percy, Brother Jason, Brother Will (who seems like the nicest), Brother Leo, and Brother Pollux. All of which were dicks in their own right, but getting to know them more this week was a bit more eye opening.
Besides frank and me we had these two brothers, Conner and Travis. They seemed to love rush week. They were just as pumped to get in as Frank. There was another kid too, Austin. From what we deduced he’s related to Will in some way, so Will isn’t allowed to interact with him.
I found out that Percy had an abusive step father and works 3 jobs to put himself through school and support his mother, Jason was a foster kid that made his own way into college alone after being separated from his sister. Leo’s mom died leaving him in the foster system too, him and Jason were foster brothers and clicked up to make way to university. Pollux lost his twin brother in a school shooting and plans to lobby for gun control in the future. As much as these guys are douchbags, it seems the world made them that way. Their story wasn’t to far off from mine. Seems like we were put in the tragedy house. Maybe that’s why they wanted us, we all seemed to have a sad story. These guys were as good as they were bad, my kind of people. If I had a kind of people that is.
“If I have to peel one more egg for tonight I’m going to scream!” Frank wasn’t much of a cook, he was stuck peeling while I stirred up the deviled eggs.
“It’s only two more days dude. Percy let it slip that tonight after the party we will be given assignments. If we can complete the challenges we are in no questions asked.”
“Yeah I overheard Jason talking about it too. They are putting us in teams of two.”
“Well looks like I draw the short straw on that one.”
“Dude you know I’m making you my partner in this, I wouldn’t have survived without you.” He finished peeling the egg and began cutting them in halves.
“You want this Frank, I could care less if they take me. Partner yourself with someone who wants to join. I would go with Austin, you know the brothers will pick eachother. That dude is smart and sneaky, he will help you get the challenge done by any means necessary.” I started putting ingredients in the yellow mash under a large mixer.
(Timebreak)
After the party we were assembled into the foyer still in our chicken attire. Lined up and awaiting the next level of hell.
“Pledges! You have done well this week. All of you have survived! Other houses have lost pledged this week, only our have endured. We have four bedrooms open! Not to say that all of you won’t make it, you all very well could and two would just need to share. So don’t think that this final challenge if you complete it is as make or break. It will only be you not completing the challenge that disqualifies you from Alpha Omega.” Jason was talking formally in his brothers robes. They all were decked out in their Greek gear behind him.
“You will have two days to complete the challenge. In two days you will come back here and present your winnings. In teams of two you will go forth and receive no help except from your partner. One of you will stay behind and do the house challenge if they do choose to except it. Pick your partner!”
Frank did as I instructed and chose Austin, the still brothers of course chose eachother which left me to do the house challenge.
“Good, now Stoll Brothers. We challenge you to make 1000$ legally. Meet us back here on Monday at 11pm, well I guess that gives you three days but you will need the time. Austin and Frank, the same goes to you. 1000$, we don’t care how you do it as long as it’s legal. Sell lemonade, T-shirt’s, your labor. No asking for money from family, no borrowing from friends and none out of your own bank account. We will have spies out there to make sure this is done. If you do not have the thousand dollars bring us what you made and we shall deliberate of whether you are worthy to join the brotherhood. Keep in mind that if you have the full amount or more that it shows us that you will do well in our philanthropy department and we need people who can raise money for the chapter. It’s shows you are resourceful and determined. We already know you are loyal and disciplined, show us you can go farther than just obedience. Show us you can be a leader. 11pm Monday gentleman, that will be all.” Frank shook my hand and wished me luck. I followed the brothers into the letting room to await whatever the house challenge would be.
“Pledge Di Angelo please stand before us.” They all sat on a long couch facing me.
“You are the best one out of the bunch, you already show resourcefulness, but you seem to have a small problem with authority and submissiveness.” Said Brother Will.
“I’ve been on my own a long time, I don’t have a lot of experience working as a team.” My head was down when I answered, I won’t lie part of me got butterflies at the compliments.
“Well you have two choices Pledge. You can be sexy butler for the sorority house just next door, our sister house. Or you can be a sexy butler here.” Brother Percy spoke with a smile on his lips. This was a personal trial, they know I don’t like serving others.
“What do you mean sexy?”
“I mean this is what you will wear for the next two days.” He threw a black and white thong with a bow tie on the front of it at me.
“And you will do as your are told, regardless of the request. The only choice in the matter is this house or the girls house.” Leo’s voice sounded amused. From the looks on their faces they were waiting for me to say the girls house. Yeah, cause that’s what I want. A bunch of girls pawing at me and using me like a sex toy, little did they know I couldn’t get it up for a woman if I tried. I would have better luck here. That was the decision though wasn’t it? I could go to the girls house, fail, and get kicked out for not being able to complete the task. I could walk away from all this, get kicked out now. I’m not the type though, I don’t back away from a challenge. Even though I was doing this all for Frank part of me was doing it for me. I wanted to see if I could see it through, a personal challenge. Plus if I backed away now all the work this week was for nothing. Through the week I found the perks of being in a frat, the networking, grade breaks, discounts in over a hundred companies, loan opportunities that others don’t get. Being part of this brotherhood would only help me in the future. Plus the worst that could happen is a gang bang with all of these dudes, and that’s nothing. I’ve done worse for less. Plus that’s not even a guarantee, for all I know the worst of it could just be them grabbing at me trying to make me uncomfortable, small dick jokes (though I knew that wouldn’t happen once I put on that thong) more like big dick jokes. I might have to do a few handjobs if I was being realistic. None of these guys was bad looking, Will especially was handsome. If the worst that would happen was me getting hollowed out by five hot guys I can do that standing in my head... hmmmm that might be an interesting position honestly.
“I’ll take this house if you don’t mind brothers.”

Walburga Black.
60. PUREBLOOD. BLACK FAMILY MATRIARCH.
There's head canons for Walburga lined out both in Alphard and Sirius's applications, so if you're interested in her, definitely make sure you give those a read. On Alphard's end of things, I head canon that he and his sister were close when they were younger, and that she was the bolder, stronger personality that drew her shy, introverted brother away from his solitary pastimes. As they grew older, however, the two of them grew apart. I know that canon doesn't quite paint the rosiest picture of Walburga, and while it would be fair to say that she was an abusive mother (and not a particularly attentive one, either, if you give Sirius's app a read), she does manage to remain a hard, strong woman, even with the constraints of the very patriarchal pureblood society (and, perhaps, at least, there's something to be admired about that) and I've tried to avoid vilifying her further. For example, her reasons for resenting Al present day are, for the most part, understandable—at least within the context of the society in which they were raised. First off, I imagine that Irma and Pollux were much harder on Walburga and Cygnus than they were on Alphard, since they were, respectively, the daughter and youngest born son of the family. Alphard was given a lot of leeway, due to being their first male heir, although Walburga was the oldest of all three children. While that wasn't exactly Alphard's fault, I can see how it might've very much rankled. Particularly as Walburga likely would have made a better heir than Alphard, given that, with time, she proved much better at adhering to the expectations of traditional pureblood life. Secondly, Walburga was married off shortly after she graduated (and to a second degree cousin, no less), whereas Al was allowed to go travel in order to "further his education" (that was the excuse he gave, although he was really just closeted and trying to avoid being married off, himself). To add insult to injury, when he returned home, not only was it discovered that he'd spent the two years tracking dragons (very nearly getting himself killed several times in the process and, therefore almost costing his parents an heir), but he didn't even continue pursuing Care of Magical Creatures professionally; instead going into the safer, more stable field of broom production. Upon his return, his parents set him up with his own estate (although Walburga wound up inheriting the Black ancestral home by the time she had her sons, which made things a little more fair, perhaps), and he went back to being private and reclusive, while Walburga was the one expected to continue hosting parties and playing the socialite, in order to maintain the family's social standing.
By the time she had her sons (Sirius was born when she was 35, I believe), Alphard was still unmarried, and had yet to start a family of his own. Although, in Alphard's defense, he really did try, even going so far as to court a woman who was rumored to have veela ancestry in her lineage, and still feeling nothing for her. It's entirely up to whoever takes Walburga whether or not she had suspicions as to why her brother remained a bachelor. If she did, though, it was never a subject she broached with Alphard.
And, despite whatever shortcomings Walburga may have felt her brother had, Al was wholly devoted to the family. Like, definitely the sort of person you could owl or fire-call (or whatever) in a pinch, and who would help with little to no questions asked. He also sacrificed a lot for the sake of not causing the family any scandal (not to mention bit his tongue ad infinitum), and threw himself into being a good uncle for his nieces and nephews, since he never had children of his own. Never showed up to visit Cyg or Wal without presents in hand for their children, was always willing to hear them out when they talked about their childish excitements of the day, and to indulge whatever silly games they might want to play—that sort of thing.
That said, Walburga felt (for whatever reason) that Al was a bad influence, and wouldn't let him spend very much time around her sons. I have my own suspicions, however, that it probably had something to do with the Muggle car he bought and charmed to fly when he was twenty-three (how Wal found out about the car is, again, up to you, and definitely a past thread I'd be up for) and/or his many stories about dragons and the way her boys' eyes probably lit up when he told them. And it probably didn't help that Al started challenging her on things: be it how obviously in favor of Voldemort she was, or the way he'd remind her of how stubborn she'd been growing up whenever she complained about Sirius (and it's very possible that she was harder on her sons than Irma and Pollux were on Wal, Al, and Cyg when they were children b/c she didn't want either of her boys to turn out to be so disappointing an heir as their uncle).
The discord between the two reached a crescendo when (instead of dying and willing money to Sirius the way he did in canon) Alphard lived and refused to cut ties with Sirius after Wal disowned him (even going so far as to provide him with money), and she wound up blasting her brother off the family tree over it, when Al refused to back down. That said, I'd still like a Walburga present day for the drama of it (and also for the purpose of threading out aaaalllll of the past threads—b/c, boy, did these two ever butt heads!).
While it's doubtful that she and Al have much contact anymore, they might still exchange snipey owls on occasion? That's certainly a possibility, especially if Wal were to catch wind of any of the present day decisions he's been making. Or, perhaps, she needs or wants something from him? Because Al has a glaring blind spot for family, and really isn't as grudgey as he ought to be. Or, maybe, with time, it's possible (particularly if you decide that Orion died in this AU around the time he was supposed to have died in canon) that being left so alone has caused her to realize that the advice Al gave her, unsolicited though it was, was good advice (given that she's had no contact with Sirius and Reg is, now, off in hiding, I think?—though I'm not holding my breath there)? Or she could be an unapologetic, active member of the Orchid Club? There's really so many different directions you could take things. It's all up to player interpretation. Either way, I'd love to see her thrown into the mix of chars we have on Maudlin.
Finally, Walburga's face claim is open, but some suggested faces are Andie Macdowell (pictured, and my personal favorite), Sela Ward, and Mary Steenburgen. It's okay with me if you'd rather use someone else, though, provided that they look like they could be related to the other members of the Black family already on Maudlin, and that they fall within the 5 year+/- age range that's been set for character face claims on here. And, if you'd like to plot or discuss details, you can reach me over PM or on discord at the handle @nippyniffler#3899.

chapter six
~~ read Metamorphosis here ~~
Tumblr media
Effie was in an absolute level of sleep when she felt a large hand touching her arm. She couldn’t say exactly what made her wake up but, suddenly, she was completely aware that there was someone in the room with her. In a matter of seconds, she let out a scream, slapped away whoever was touching her, and tried to get up from the bed — which resulted in her getting stuck on her blanket like a burrito and falling to the ground.
"Thank goodness waking up gracefully isn’t one of the tests," said Fulvia, leaning against the bedroom door with her arms crossed and one eyebrow raised.
Effie sat up, struggling to untangle herself from the blankets and saw her the victim of her slap — Plutarch — sitting on the bed, his cheek reddening fast. He didn’t look upset for someone who had just been hit. "Do we have to talk about this?" he asked gently. Effie shook her head. He nodded and got to his feet. "To business then. Turn on the TV, Fulvia. Show her.”
Fulvia did as he asked. From the floor, Effie turned her attention to the television set. The morning paper was going on as usual. Effie only showed interest when Claudius Templesmith appeared talking about the Metamorphosis project. It was his first interview on the subject, since only yesterday they had found the twelfth participant, and he was thrilled.
"... Lavinia Amata is, of course, one of the favorites. It’s worth remembering that her mother was none other than the great Frinea, elected the most beautiful woman of Panem during the government of President Pericles. Lavinia doesn’t stay behind. As beautiful as her mother and didn’t even have to flash her breasts in a national network like Frinea did in her time," Claudius paused while the program showed some images of Lavinia. Once again, Effie was struck by her beauty.
"Still on the subject of breasts," Claudius continued, "Thirza Apophis came from District 2 in such a tight blouse that we were all left in the embarrassing position of having to admire the whites of her eyes in the hope of ignoring those giant tomatoes. Yes, our second participant doesn’t accept not being the center of attention. She came here to win, ladies, so stay alert."
The camera focused and zoomed in on Thirza's breasts before moving on to the next girl.
"Porperzia di Rossi came as living proof that wearing glasses doesn’t take away anyone's beauty." Effie hadn’t seen this girl yet. She had dark hair and eyes, and seemed to feel more at ease when no one spoke to her. "She studied painting, music, dance, poetry and classical literature, and spent hours working at the District 3′s Technical Support Control Center."
"Giovanna Garzoni, on the other hand, arrived with her skin in a tan so elegant that immediately I begged her to share her secrets with me. Do you know what she said?" It was shown a video of Gia saying one word: salmon. "That's right, ladies and gentlemen. It's time to invest in the importation of this fish, my Capitol friends."
"Antonietta Gonsalis, our only redhead, already with this advantage over the other girls, comes from a very wealthy family who made their fortune by mining precious stones in the sealed caves of District 5. A very big bet at the time that paid off very well, if you want my opinion. But if we’re being honest... look at this girl's eyes..." The camera focused on Antonietta’s big blue eyes and Claudius said, "Sapphires should feel ashamed near her."
"Now, Judith Holofernes arrived in the capital singing the national anthem of District 6. She came with so much energy that we must suspect she abused some... uh, stimuli she brought from home." Claudius laughed at his own joke. Effie thought he was being mean — it was true that in District 6 there was the continued abuse of illegal substances, but to assume that everyone there was using it was generalization. The TV showed images of a girl who seemed to be about 15 years old, jumping up and down, shaking her hands and head. "Look at this girl's happiness. I don’t know what she's using, but I'd like a taste!"
"Number 7, Hypatia Kaliste came carrying a deadly weapon, which she called Grace, and her sponsor had to have a serious conversation with her before Hypatia agreed to hand him the hatchet." Hypatia was another blonde and the only one who managed to look dirtier than Effie. "It was a day of controversy for poor Seneca Crane, of course. Now all he needs is to get rid of those flannel shirts."
"My precious competitor, whom I have chosen for nothing more than her clever hands, is a girl from 8 who loves to make her own clothes. She doesn’t wear what she didn’t make herself. I was bewitched immediately and so shall you be — vote for her — this beautiful girl, Aphra Behn!"
This one had a pretty face, but her attention was drawn from it because of the dress she wore — all trimmed and sewn in innovative ways. She had dark skin and short curly hair.
The next girl was definitely the roundest competitor. Round face, full cheeks and a lively smile that proved what Effie already knew about District 9 — they truly had food there.
"Artemisia Gentileschi is known to us," said Claudius, "as she has come to the Capitol several times to bring us the best and most diverse grains of her district. A tip for the other girls: Artemisia has the habit of reciting names of grains in alphabetical order when she gets nervous. I won’t say anything else. Anything!"
"Our number 10 is the most original of all girls," he said excitedly. "Cressida Harun!" The images revealed a young woman in a leather jacket. She had shaved half her head and tattooed vines that went down her neck and covered her entire left arm. When she moved, the effect was pretty cool. "Amusing and unique is Cressida. Her favorite hobbies include filming and editing our commercials and composing romantic ballads."
"With number 11 you will not want to get involved, ladies," Claudius said, looking serious. "Enobaria Rashid. Six feet tall, muscles to frighten the competition and, best of all, her curious shark teeth!"
Effie's jaw dropped when she saw that Claudius wasn’t joking. Enobaria was an angry-looking black woman, and the way she smiled at the camera made Effie shiver.
"And lastly, the one you have all been waiting for, straight from District 12, Iphigenia Trinket! No one put much faith when Plutarch chose her, but she quickly became one of the favorites after her arrival yesterday. The crowd begged for some of her attention and Trinket wasn’t afraid to get her hands dirty, the whole time showing the shy smile that conquered all of you, didn’t it? Be honest with me. I'm always with you. "
"The first test will happen tomorrow morning, so the girls will still have time to prepare. Tonight, the entourage will decide a color for each competitor and they will have to find a way to try to impress the audience. You can’t miss it. Now, some words from our sponsors—"
Fulvia turned off the TV and Plutarch beamed at Effie. "So? What do you think?"
"It was nice."
He crossed his arms. "It was nice? That’s your answer?" Effie stared, not sure of what she was supposed to be saying. "When the Event Director asks you how you feel about participating in the Metamorphosis, will you say 'it’s nice'?"
Effie hesitated. If she was being honest, she would say that she felt nothing at the moment — besides that eternal hunger — but she doubted Plutarch was after honesty.
He sighed. "You have to do better than that."
"I just woke up," she apologized.
"And I never sleep, but that doesn’t stop me from forming coherent sentences, isn’t that right?" Suddenly his shoulders relaxed and he forward to help Effie out of that tangle of covers. "Take a shower, let Pollux and Castor take care of you, and then we'll train your answers, okay? And smile, Effie. Smile even when you're on the verge of tears."
He and Fulvia were about to leave the room when Effie thought of something—
"Plutarch," she called. He looked back at her with curiosity. "Could I send a letter?"
