Shahar is the daughter of the main antagonist who is first sent to spy on our protagonists, only to later befriend them and be filled with guilt over her father's actions. When they find out, they cast her away from their journey and she goes on her own adventure of self discovery, away from her father and his influence. After weeks of finding new friends and freeing herself from the idea that she has to be useful to be worthy, she finds our protagonists again, and together they set to finally take own her father and help all the people he hurt along the way.

She has messy brown hair and red eyes. She's usually seen with her gray hoodie and a stern expression.

As Elrond only seemed to record birthdays for Elves and Men he was closely related to, Legolas' age is a matter of some debate. (We also have no idea how old Thranduil is, or Glorfindel, or Haldir, or...) The "official" age quoted is from a movie guide that presumably did not have a lot of oversight and definitely was not based on anything in Tolkien's extended canon, but you can certainly go with it if you want to.

For comparison, Elrond's sons Elladan and Elrohir are 2,889 at the end of Return of the King, and Arwen is 2,778.

Welp, yesterday’s poll has spoken. You guys wanted to see the human and demon role reversal AU. We’re calling it Good Intentions. We struggled and brainstormed and did our best to change characters' roles without straying too far from their canon personalities. 

First up, the protagonist is one Muzan Kibutsuji. Muzan is an egotistical and cowardly little shit at first. He’s a kid from a fallen wealthy family but he takes extreme pride in his family’s name. His father instilled in him the belief that they’re family is perfect and that they need to build back up their name and remind everyone of how perfect their family is. Despite his ego, he’s actually quite insecure and compares himself to his little brother Kagaya. Muzan was born albino and not all that healthy. He doesn’t appear like he’s healthy and his albinism makes him look a bit out of place compared to the rest of the family which really bothers him. However, Kagaya was born even more sickly and that persisted throughout childhood. Muzan being healthier and being able to do things his brother can’t is what prevented too much resentment towards his brother. One day, while Muzan was away from his family, the Demon King came to their house, killed his parents, and turned his little brother into a demon. Muzan becomes determined to cure his brother to restore a semblance of his old life and wants to get revenge for his family. He also wants his brother back to normal because as a demon Kagaya is stronger than him. Yet, among those maybe less than stellar motivations, Muzan does in fact care about his little brother. He’s terrified of having to face life on his own and has nightmares about what would have happened if he had to kill Kagaya.  Now for Kagaya Kibutsuji, little brother turned demon. Kagaya is calm, quiet, and prefers to sit in the background. He’s not blind. He knows that his brother is insecure and constantly gives in, letting Muzan decide things or win arguments, because he cares and doesn’t want to see his brother suffering. Kagaya is pretty smart in making these concessions feel genuine so that it doesn’t come off like he’s pitying his older brother, so that Muzan doesn’t notice he’s doing this on purpose. Winning never really mattered to Kagaya. Kagaya’s got a more grounded confidence and friendlier demeanor that he learned from his mother compared to Muzan’s grandstanding that he learned from their father. As a demon, Kagaya resisted hurting his brother and held onto more of his humanity by clinging to the thought that he couldn’t leave his brother alone, that Muzan wouldn’t survive alone. Despite being calmer than his brother, both are rather dangerous opponents as they have a natural talent for battle tactics and strategy. Kagaya was more gifted in knowing when and where to strike for the most effectiveness, while Muzan was gifted in knowing how best to evade to give yourself a more advantageous position. Before fighting demons, these talents manifested in brutal verbal assaults that left no retort from Kagaya and dancing around topics of discussion in a way that allowed him to control the flow of conversation for Muzan. Kagaya’s blood demon art is Lunar Tide which allows him to manipulate water extracted from his blood and freeze it down to -173°C during the day or -273°C at night. He can induce frostbite to the point of necrosis, even in demons. Also, Kagaya is not carried by Muzan because Muzan said “being turned into a demon didn’t get rid of your legs, walk.” So Muzan went through the extra hassle of figuring out enough clothes and shade so that Kagaya could walk himself through the dang sunlight.

And now, last but not least for the moment, Demon King Tanjirō. Smol struggled so hard, literally agonized over making Tanjirō pretty much evil. She even wanted to make him win, which Lilith absolutely vetoed. He’s my blorbo, Lilith you can’t blame me. Anyway, this AU is called Good Intentions for a reason. Approximately a thousand years before the Kibutsuji brothers, Tanjirō Kamado was dying due to a disease he inherited from his father. Now, he might not have looked for a cure so hard if all his siblings weren’t also dying from the same disease. He was desperate to save his family even if he died first, willing to do anything. This led him to an experimental treatment that turned him into the Demon Progenitor. He turned his siblings into demons, all of them except Takeo who ran away because he felt that this was wrong. Kie also became a demon to stick with her children. Soon, however, they discovered that being a demon meant that they couldn’t walk into the sun (Rokuta wandered into the daylight and died, devastating all of them.) Thus, Tanjirō became focused on finding a way to make the cure perfect. To allow his siblings to live life to the fullest. Good intentions right? Good intentions that so easily became twisted. Demon King Tanjirō spent a lot of time searching and turned many others along the way. People he felt bad for, people with tragic stories. Tanjirō as the Demon King actually cares about those he turns. He feels possessive over them and over the years his perspective became one of us versus them. He wants those he cares about to be safe and protected, he’s biased towards them. If other people have to die, if things have to get messy, what does it matter as long as those he cares about remain safe and happy. He eventually grows more paranoid, protecting his demons from imagined threats. Tanjirō spirals into self justification for his more cruel decisions and does so for others too, him and his demons are always victims even when they’re the ones who instigate the violence. The stagnation of becoming a demon, this fixed and faulty mindset, can bring out the worst in even the kindest of people.

Ultimately, Muzan Kibutsuji starts off only caring about his family and later grows to feel empathy even towards his enemies, while Tanjirō Kamado starts off with lots of empathy and becomes colder towards those that are outside his circle.

Happy Birthday former Scottish Rugby ace Andy Irvine.

Born Andrew Robertson Irvine on 16th September 1951 in Edinburgh he was educated at James Gillespie’s Primary School and George Heriot’s School. From there he went on to Edinburgh University.

Andy earned 51 Scotland caps – 15 as captain – and scored 273 points for Scotland. One of rugby’s greatest running full backs, from Heriot’s, he made his international debut against the All Blacks in 1972.

With blistering pace and attacking from deep, he could turn off either foot and produce a thrilling display from nothing. Scotland’s first real superstar player, he also took part in television’s Superstars competition in 1978 and 1982, finishing respectively third and second in the British final. Selected for the British Lions against South Africa and New Zealand, he scored a record five tries in a single game during the latter tour.

Irvine vies with Gavin Hastings and Stuart Hogg for the title of Scotland’s greatest ever fullback, with incisive running at a blistering pace from the back his trademark. A number of polls have voted Irvine Scotland’s greatest player, and he is generally considered one of the best, if not the best, attacking full backs of his era. His presence in the line often distracted defenders even when he did not have possession.

Legendary commentator Bill McLaren certainly had Andy marked as one of his favourites, citing hid offensive genius marked him out from the rest. Always willing to take a risk in attacking play.

The former Scotland rugby international joined investment firm Jones Lang Wootton in 1978 and only recently retired, after a 42-year career with the firm.

any commentary i added below was made with the best of my ability! It’s quite lengthy, so you know!

kuroko & kise in blue/yellow

lost the first round to the iconic undertale lesbians, but they earned 84 votes!

here’s my essay in the tags because it’s before i decided that i was no longer cringe, but free -- mostly about their relationship but especially the scene against haizakis team

midorima & takao in orange/green

they won the first round against some italian mobsters from jojo’s bizarre adventure! ultimately earning 88 votes-- winning with 61.8% of the votes!

here @hiemiola​ and i tag team (it will not be the last!!) and wrote some things we liked about their relationship in our first duo poll essay about their dynamics on and off the court!

in this match, midorima and takao had a comfortable lead (from what i know)! there was a time where votes were in the 50/40 range but ultimately midotaka had a spike in votes in the end!

they lost round 1.5, ultimately earning a total of 273 votes-- barely losing with 49.4% of the votes!

for most of the poll the two were losing by a large margin (around ~30% of votes if i recall correctly), but in the last few hours they made a turn around and took the lead for a bit, before ultimately barely losing a close match!!

please read another tag team poll essay for this round talking about how they’re a funny orange + green pair, how they’re inseparable, and all that fun stuff :)

they came back in the loser bracket but ultimately got destroyed in round one :( despite the odds being up against them, the two managed to earn 190 votes!

in this poll, they held onto a lead for a bit!! it definitely must have been one of midorima’s unlucky day this time around!!

as always here’s the usual tag team essay! we talk about the basics of who they are, their relationship, and yes that takao is orange!! (something that people questioned in previous polls)

but wait! in this poll, a new player @aomine-in-gensokyo​ comes! he wrote about how the strongest of bonds can come from the unlikeliest people in this essay here!

funnily enough, after this aomine approved essay, they had a 5% spike in votes

takao in orange character smackdown

in this huge poll with 192 characters, takao kazunari was in bracket d!

round one was a real tough fight! for the longest time, takao was behind, especially around the 40% range, but he ultimately managed to turn it around! with 447 votes to his name, he managed to win at 50.7%!!

funnily, enough this poll ran at the same time as midorima in the best green character poll! scroll down if you��d like to know more :) -- anyways its definitely hard to separate these two partners!

also a little fun fact! op paired similar people together. funnily enough, takao and rena were a matter of “pair the spares” but ultimately op saw that both characters were associated with green characters with glasses! id also argue that both characters help major characters who’s name start with “m” (midorima for knb and marinette for miraculous ladybug) leave their comfort zone as well :]

to no one’s surprise, we have another tag team essay.as both of us didn’t want to talk about our favorite takao moments and scenes (because we want everyone to watch kuroko no basket <3) we talked about just fun little scenes across knb + knb media!! and also more takao merchandise!!

in total, takao earned 836 votes!! thats a lot! at the time of writing this, takao ultimately has the third most votes out of all knb polls listed in this post!

midorima in best green character

he was destroyed in the first round to disgust from inside out, only getting 36.2% of the votes, but he still managed to earn a total of 272 votes!

this poll happened on the same day as takao’s first round poll in the orange character smackdown!! theyre partners!

they won the first round, along with ankh and eiji from kamen rider ooo as the top two pairings in a round would progress! they earned 80 votes!

they got absolutely destroyed in the second round against batman/superman, but luckily managed to rise up to 22.1% of the votes! earned a total of 240 votes!

in the first round of the black and pink poll, they lost 46.9 to 53.1 but earned a total of 38 votes

however! they came back in the loser bracket and made it to the finals of said bracket!

in round one, these childhood friends won with 62.4% of the votes, earning 73 votes!

here we get @aomine-in-gensokyo giving an introduction about these friends who have been together since childhood!

in round two, they won with 52.1% of the votes-- a much closer match! but they earned 37 votes!

in round three, they faced off against lovely kingdom heart boys, and ultimately won with 50 votes, which was 54.3% of the votes! as they only won by about 8 votes, it was another close one!

in the wise words of aomine-in-gensokyo, this was a heated match!

in round four, there was a tougher match! more people were voting! the two were losing for a bit, but over time managed to close the gap! ultimately, the two were victorious and gained 53.1% of the votes-- 121 votes! over double of last rounds!

finally, we have the finals! their competition was fierce with two other pairs as their opponents! ultimately, the two were in last place in the beginning of the match, but managed to climb to second! they earned 64 votes which was 30.3% of the votes!

aomine & momoi - blue/pink

the two of them made it to the quarterfinals of the blue and pink poll! there were great vibes all around with lots of support for aomine and momoi! people who weren’t familiar with kuroko no basket enjoyed learning about them as well and cheered them on in other rounds! they even defeated some pretty heavy hitters, and ultimately only lost by one vote in the end!

this poll marks the beginning of the a3! and knb alliance! you’ll see later that many a3! fans end up supporting knb a lot which i think is very sweet!! i personally also boost polls where the a3! fans are in as well in solidarity :> some of my other knb mutuals as well! I hope we can continue to support each other from here on out!

in round 2, these besties found themselves up against my little pony’s iconic rainbow dash and pinky pie… despite the odds, they managed to take the win! by earning 208 votes, they won with 51.5% of the total votes!

here you can see my essay talking briefly about how they care about each other!  as you can see, i was hoping for them to reach 30% at the time of writing. always stay optimistic everyone… you can always turn things around!!

in round 3, aomine and momoi faced off against vi and jinx from arcane! another tough challenge ahead… however, they pulled through!! with 118 votes, they secured 51.5% of the votes once again!

and here we are! the quarterfinals! these two managed to make it to the top 8! here, they faced off against muku and yuki from a3! overall, this was a very nice, wholesome poll i’d say! everyone was supportive of the other team… some of us wanted them to tie and progress together… in the end, aomine and momoi just barely lost with 441 votes (49.9%)! i think it’s funny that they lost just by one point, don’t you think? It’s just like canon! 

throughout the 24 hour period, aomine and momoi continued to climb up until they were toe to toe with the other competitors. in the poll’s last minutes, the numbers of votes continued to climb until we finally had our end result!

kuroko, kagami, & kise in the primary colors bracket

in round 1, they won with 60% of the votes after earning 81 votes!

In round 2, they barely defeated sailor moon, but they managed to earn 119 votes, winning with a percentage of 51.3%! here’s also an obligatory picture of my kagami cardboard cutout with a bonus kuroko and kise!!

in round 3, the trio were defeated by not one, but a trio of iconic magical girls! With 71 votes, they lost at 41.8%!

In total, kuroko, kagami, and kise earned 271 votes!

kuroko no basket as a series in multicolor fandom tournament

in every round they won, kuroko no basket was losing by a large margin, but they always managed to turn it around before the end

in round 1, their opponents were the ever famous mario… despite the odds they took 52.9% of the votes with 180 votes!

in round 2, our colorful show went up against heathers!with 258 votes, they won with 51.7% of the votes! 

in round 3, knb ultimately lost to the extremely powerful avatar the last airbenders, only managing to secure 32.6% of the votes.

in the end, atla were the victors of the poll!!

in the end, the show managed to earn 581 votes! 

kagami in the minor poll of the red character bracket

this poll was double elimination, so you’d have to lose twice before ultimately being defeated! 

kagami ultimately did very well!! he was 4th place overall!! i’m very proud of him! in most of these rounds, you can see me giving little spiels about kagami and showing cute pictures of him, but nothing too expensive!

in round 1, he earned 87 (52.1%) votes!

in round 2, he earned 199 (50.5%) votes!

in round 3, he earned 287 (53.5%) votes!

in round 4, he earned 222 (50.8%) votes!

in round 5, he got absolutely destroyed by strawberry shortcake (who ultimately won the minor bracket!) he earned, 49 (23.3%) votes!

in the loser’s round 8, which was kagami’s first round in the loser’s bracket, he lived another day, earning 135 (50.9%) votes! to 130 (49.1%) 

finally, kagami was eliminated in loser’s round 9 against the lovely ib!! she would then go on and earn second place in the minor bracket! kagami, himself, earned 82 (35.7%) votes!

in all, kagami has earned a total of 1061 votes! so far, he has earned the most votes out of any character and/or pair!! 

momoi & midorima in the pink/green bracket

midorima and momoi despite not interacting too much did rather well on this poll!! they made it to the finals! 

i spent time cropping kise and takao out of photos to get photos of just midorima and momoi <3

i’d like to say this is due to the fact that the pollrunner included midorima’s lucky item on his picture! in the other polls in which midorima never made it to round 2, he was without his lucky item! his unlucky nature carries outside of the show it looks like!!

this is why i firmly believe that if midorima ever makes it to another poll, he has to be with his lucky item or else he’ll lose so badly

a3! fans really came through in these rounds! we couldn’t have done it without their support!

in round 1, these two miraculously defeated sk8’s iconic skater dudes with 53.4% of the votes! with 70 votes, they only beat cherry and joe skate by 9 votes!

in round 2, the pair defeats the first volcaloid pair they were matched up against. with 75 votes, they won at 56.6%

through the greatest twist of fate, in round 3, momoi and midorima managed to take the win from volcaloids gumi and luka!! always remain optimistic guys! you never know who will be there to support you! with 153 votes, they won with 55.2%!

Character 271: This character is, despite being one of the most powerful characters in the series so far, doomed to be obscure by the fact he’s simultaneously a joke character and a background character. As far as I’m aware, he’s only had a vaguely major role in three scenes (if that) and in basically all of them he got overshadowed by other characters. Regardless, he’s insanely powerful, capable of doing a bigger variety of things than anyone else so far with the easiest way of doing so. His drawback to this power isn’t even one that is a huge hindrance, so all he needs to wreck some evil guys without issue is a cough drop or two and he’s good. Too bad the series has yet to show that fact- instead he gets taken down by one of the least physically capable characters absurdly fast. Even looking for fanart there’s basically nothing, which sucks, because this short king has some of the best ideas I’ve ever seen, joke or not. But instead of getting any sort of spotlight, he’s shoved into the obscurity corner by jackass, big sister energy, and basically all of the other side characters. He deserves more. Let’s give him more. He may have gotten into one of the few official games, but he must be SEEN DAMMIT

Character 272: A tomboy with frost themed powers, but her personal backstory isn't very tragic. She's an aromantic asexual tomboy with ADHD (first told by the author later when fans were happy she didn't have a forced love interest that was kind of a must when the books first came out, the latter stated in canon). She's naïve and can jump head-first into danger to save strangers. She also has a twin brother, who while also has ADHD is near the polar opposite of her, making them a great team.

Character 273: An energetic detective determined to find out why the man who saved her as a child was imprisoned. Is very curious and snarky and easily befriends others.
