polin week 2024 : day two 🪞 favorite book scene
"For a moment Colin did nothing but blink. How was it possible he’d never noticed how big her eyes were? He’d known they were brown, of course, and ... No, come to think of it, if he were to be honest with himself, he would have to admit that if asked earlier this morning, he’d not have been able to identify the color of her eyes.
But somehow he knew that he’d never forget again." @polinweek

Bonus Polin week DAY THREE: Favorite Dance
I love all Polin dances, but this has to be my favorite.
Dance is another intimacy language for them, since the beginning. So while all of their dances do contain an element of intimacy, this feels on another level, in my opinion.
It's because of the chin grab? Naaaah... Yes, it's absolutely that (Nic, Luke, please share your secrets because I've seen full sex scenes less powerful than this one). But it is also their eyes, never leaving each other.
It's them chosing each other, fully and without secrets and recognizing that even in those challenges there is space for understanding and be open and vulnerable.
Because intimacy in the end is not just the sex, it's that AND the honesty, the vulnerability, the power you give to another person to break your heart if they choose to.
And it's all in that dance and their dance together. And it's all in those eyes and that chin grab.

She's the rope that holds me
Yes, I know she knows me well enough, oh
