I even have variants for each different pokemon type specialist. This is just the standard/non-specialist outfit

im still thinking abt that "competitive players actually do love pokemon" post and something ive noticed over the years having been on both sides is that for casual fans they treat pokemon like actual animals and pets and best buddies the way the series itself intends you to but for competitive players a lot of them talk about pokemon like Their Friend Dave who has his own house and comes over for barbecue nights.

the average pokemon trainer spoils their pet eevee rotten but comp players are helping their longtime professional expert consultant Brian "Iron" Hands organize his training sessions with Ledian whose fallen behind

I'm thinking about the fact that Rogue and Gambit will be raising Rosemary during the middle of the Pokemon boom. They're going to have to navigate the Waters of connecting with their kid on these 150 something- potentially more depending on when she gets into it-little creatures that all the other parents around them are saying are demonic but they're pretty sure they're fine.

They need jubilee to help them keep up with everything.

Gambit: okay so this one is definitely Pikachu and this one is char lizard?

Jubilee: it's Charizard! I don't even play the games and you and I know that one it's like one of the very first ones.

Rogue: cut us some slack we're having to raise this kid the same time this is a lot to keep track of

Jubilee: it's 150 names surely you had vocabulary tests as kids with more words than that.

Gambit: if you hadn't noticed we've both been out of school for quite some time. Gambits an old dog it's hard for him to learn new tricks.

They love their daughter and spoil her with Pokemon cards, but then one day some Pokemon cards end up in one of Gambit's card pockets and he realizes moments too late he's using one of her Pokemon cards instead of his playing cards and so Rogue and Gambit are scrambling to replace it buying a bunch of booster packs and looking for the right one.

Eventually they amassed enough of a pile of cards looking for that Squirtle they're just like you know what I think if we just give her this pile and tell her the truth she'll understand and forgive us.

She does but Gambit still feels guilty. His princess is very special to him. Rogue gives him a kiss on the cheek.

"Sugah she just got 5 times her weekly allowance in Pokemon cards over one card. I'm sure she forgives ya. Ah mean she's lost plenty of them before. Look how happy she is!"

"yeah, but ....ok ya have a point"

"you spoil your girls, ya know that?"

"Gambit well aware heheheh..."

the second of my Pokemon Colosseum anniversary fanzine submissions. I've always found Colosseum and Star Wars have a lot in common aesthetically (and thematically to an extent), so this is based on one of the original 1977 Star Wars posters.

This game means a hell of a lot to me. Fixating on this, and its sequel, have gotten me through some rough times as a teen and young adult.
