Basically, this is a self-insert oc who's the adopted kid of Kabu, who in turn is the adopted kid of Larry and (headcanon time) sibling of Giacomo, Larry’s child.

Also, idk where else to put it but where it says year 9 it’s in the American grade system so she's around 14-15.

Ok, so Pokèmon! Quaquaval, because it’s my favorite of the Gen 9 starters, Zangoose for the normal type, Armarouge for the fire type, Kilowattrel for the flying type, Mabosstiff, is a gift from Gia, and Gholdengo because it’s cool and I like it. Xe also has a partner Smeargle for art stuff and a pet shiny Talonflame raised from a Fletching that was injured in a storm.

for SuMo, which is also the canon i follow the most... I'm generally pretty okay with how they dealt with him. Like I always write him thinking mostly about that version, of course adding a little more of "adult content" (as in, him bleeding and dying and being Fucking Depressed in ultraspace mostly), but that's the version i fell in love with. I am and I will always be vocal about how rushed the final part of gen 7 was and how i'm DISGUSTED!!!!!!with the idea that a good ending implies team skull being disbanded (thus making it an ending where he didn't really learn to not run away from responsabilities :^)) but for the most part it's great and i love him.

USUM can choke fr fr ♥ I like the interaction he has with Hau in the Garden, but that's about it that was the beginning of Lusamine being woobified because This Woman Can't Be Evil I Fucking Guess (and while i have 0 idea of how hes handled in Masters i did see their interactions with mutual respect and i want to blow myself up), and by extention their relationship being instead written in a more healthy way that. i genuinely can't fucking see. like fuck off USUM all my homies hate USUM they did great with Necrozma they did okay with Rainbow Rocket i wish Guzma's personality wasn't Lusamine Guard Dog Except Without The Nuance Bc We're Afraid Of Evil Women Haha like cmon man!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have. so many mixed feelings about PokeSpe. i'm going to say it right away i think it's mid the battles are great everything else but mostly how female characters are written is okay at best terrible at worse. from the little i saw they really decided to keep his undying loyalty to Lusamine and i hate it here but i enjoy how they managed to write him slightly more unhinged.

the anime did him justice actually. I still think he wouldn't touch the League, ever, and he wouldn't get mad at Golisopod for an ability he should know he has (miss me with that "he's just pretending he doesn't know :)" the anime makes it very clear), but i like his competitivity and his arrogance and how they handled his finale a lot. with the years i made peace with aniGuzma and i think he's very neat despite my problems with the anime (coughlusaminecough). i'm not particularly annoyed with how they confirmed he decided to start a war on alola bc he couldnt be a trial captain either, with how the anime is written i can see that as a good reason actually idk i like how they managed to make him feel like a proper threat and a good "final antagonist". good shit

Ok so while I was looking up reference pics on Gen 3's Elite Four Drake, I came across some screenshots of the Pokèmon Journey anime and I saw one of them that revealed something amazing: Drake actually has hair! You just can’t see it because of the hat!

he lent a hand to deal with Team Plasma, focusing mostly on freeing the Pokèmon they kidnapped. While he had some run-ins with the Shadow Triad, however, he never battled with neither N nor Ghetsis.

since he left Unova one year later, he doesn’t know about Colress.

I cycle between the KH music, Kirby music, FE music and so on. Right now I’m stuck with a Portal, Binding of Isaac (since I’m currently suffering on 100%ing Repentance, it’s a tradition at this point) and 3DS Fire Emblem jukebox! Last movie: I think it was the original Fantasia? Mostly because I could just put it on and “watch” it while doing something else since it had no plot, also it’s really gorgeous to look at! Don’t get me wrong, I like the 3D animated style, but the old 2D one just hits different. Currently watching: At the moment, a buttload of Youtube videos since I don’t have the mental energy to start or even continue a cohesive story. When I do though, I want to go on watching Miraculous Ladybug (S2), Ducktales 2017 (S2) and RWBY (V8)! Currently reading: Nothing, sadly. I ran out of stuff to read, so I’m gonna have to go get something at the library. Any recs anyone? Currently playing: Fire Emblem Fates (Birthright), Binding of Isaac Repentance and... just those two, right now. Oh, and Pokèmon Yellow ocasionally too, I was playing it as the start of a Pokèmon Marathon through each gen (except SW/SH because no Switch) Before those I was playing Hades and I’ll get back to it once I finish Repentance (so it’s gonna take a LOT of time). Oh, and I want to play the Portal Reloaded mod that just came out! I'd say even with SwSh's issues, it's still a decent game. The next-gen 'mons are well designed, the characters are pretty good, the wild areas are a cool concept. The Tundra DLC is also pretty cool!

Pleasantries aside, get a load of my gamer thoughts under the cut skskks

The problem is that, conceptually speaking, Pokèmon SWSH is indeed a valid game! I mean the Galar region is visually stunning (especially Hammerlock, Motostoke and Ballonlea, where I’d love to live ngl), the new gen is lovely and I really like some of the mons (Rillaboom, Corviknight, Polteageist, Grimmsnarl, Obstagoon, Runerigus, Glastrier hello? These are my children and I love them) and most of the characters are absolutely valid both in terms of character design and diversity, I mean fat gym leaders?? Many skin colors and ethnicities??? Good job Nintendo, finally some good fucking representation. Also Chairman Rose is one chonky snacc of a man and I have no shame in admitting that I really really wanna sink my teef in his dad bod sjkaslk 👀👀

Anyway. The wild areas? Honestly now that’s something I never thought I’d see in a Pkmon game. Like for the first time in, what, 25 years we can freely move the camera and explore around the place without routes to follow? Incredible. Groundbreaking. Absolutely astounding.

Unfortunately, as regards the technical sector itself... Big Yikes™.

The animations are something I’d expect from a ps1 game not from a next-gen console (and I’m not even gonna start talking about fighting animations because I can’t, I’m not strong enough sjsjsk), the mons models aren’t scaled according to their actual size reported in the pokédex, the graphics are somewhat mediocre (and I know a game isn’t defined only by its looks but since the gameplay isn’t stunning either I consider this to be a problem), no GTS (unless you pay for a Nintendo Online Membership and even if so there are other issues too), virtually no replayability, the dynamic weather is everything but dynamic, the entire character of Hop is basically a copy paste of Hau but more annoying, they cut over 140 moves (including signature ones) and removed old features (such as Mega evo and Z moves) with virtually no new additions.

All of this is not only a huge step down from earlier titles, but it goes beyond what used to be already barely tolerable standards to way below standards, and keep in mind this is the biggest, most profitable franchise on Earth... Not to mention the title is still quite pricey (it’s 60 € for the digital release and around 50 for the physical copy), and also you need an extra 30�� for the DLC making the price to rise up to almost 90€, which is definitely a prohibitive price for such a game imo.

In conclusion? Shit fam I dunno.

On one hand I wanna too feel the Pokemon experience once again, since it’s been a while since I legitimately played a Pkm game, but on the other hand I don’t really feel like throwing away 90 bucks like this... We’ll see I guess.
