[inspired by that ask about volkner with serena's pokemon, I'd love to hear what serena's pokemon think about red now compared to when they met him! :o]
OH HELL YEAH ROUND 2 LETS GOOOOOOOOOOO / under cut for length!
Merlin - Initial impression was wary. Not as bad as Joyeuse, but he had some reservations. He came around much quicker than Joyeuse did obviously, able to sense that nothing was amiss or untrustworthy about Red. He even tried to talk to Joyeuse about it, but with how stubborn and hardheaded she can be, it was a lost cause. Merlin absolutely adores Red now. Even initially he liked the fire-type starter solidarity he had with Serena, however.
Snack - As I’ve said, Snack is a very easygoing pokemon that doesn’t really care much about anything going on, unless it affects him or his team negatively. He did think Joyeuse was being way too dramatic, but unlike Merlin or Rose, he didn’t try to sway her opinion as he knew it’d be a losing battle and a waste of time. He enjoyed the company of Red’s team when they all met, and enjoys their company still even now - especially Quake. :) It’s also been nice having another Kanto starter around too. I think the thing he’s the happiest about, besides Serena’s happiness obviously, is that they have a home together and he can actually be out and rest in the sun. Without Red, that would have happened a lot later down the line.
Joyeuse - Oh boy. In the beginning when they were just friendly, Joyeuse was totally fine with Red. It wasn’t until romantic feelings began to crop up that she stopped and was like, WAIT A MINUTE, and her opinion sort of soured. After seeing how wrecked Serena was after her previous relationships, Joyeuse assumed the worst and was not hearing anything about how this time would be different. It wasn’t until she saw how absolutely devastated Serena was when Red went back to Johto that she realized how happy they were together. Since they’ve bought the house in Anistar, her view on Red has improved a lot. She feels horrible about the way she treated him, as I don’t imagine she was subtle about her dislike. She’s glad her attitude wasn’t enough to push Red away, and she still feels so bad about everything even now. Red is another person she would readily protect with everything she has.
Rose - Rose has had a very positive view on Red even from the beginning. She is very in-tune with the emotions of people around her, and she never felt any disingenuous or malicious vibes from him. She has been a cheerleader for them as a couple since day one and is EXTREMELY pleased they got together. Not only because she gets to be with Gleam more, but because she can feel they’re both so genuinely happy and in love. It makes her heart full every time she sees them together. She did try her best to get through to Joyeuse as Merlin did, to no avail. Rose is glad everything worked out in the end, as she feels everyone has gotten their happy ending so far. She’s just waiting for the day they get married now. :)
Jello - He was honestly mildly intimidated by Red and his team at first, like with everyone he meets. The fact that Nami had tried to make him more comfortable and at ease immediately after meeting him, despite not even knowing him, made Jello relax a lot. The more he saw Red, the more reassured he grew until he grew just as comfortable with him as he is with Serena. It’s like he’s a whole new Goodra now.
Sunflower - Sunflower is also up there as a long running cheerleader for Red and Serena. She got all of the information about them both from Rose, and being the trusting Ampharos she is, was absolutely rooting for Red from the very start. She also really loves that he has an electric-type on his team too; hanging out with Spark is SO FUN to her. Sunflower doesn’t have the same level of emotional awareness that Rose holds, but she can also see how strong their love is and it makes her feel so happy.
Loire - Again, Loire is a Swampert that just loves people so much. She loves when people around her are happy! And Serena and Red are the picture of happiness when they’re together. Even when Red is gone for a bit and Serena is at home, or vice versa, Loire notices how smiley they both get when they get a message from one another, or when they hear the front door open. It’s just so adorable to her that a love so pure exists.
Bastion - Same hat as Loire. He LOVES people, even right off the bat. So Red coming into all of their lives was honestly perfect for him, because he also brought a team full of pokemon for him to be friends with. The house is a bonus because that makes people and pokemon happy. He’s always eager to give Red the best flowers he’s grown, and he also is sure to rope Red into gardening time with him and Serena. It just all feels like a big family to him and he loves it. Also, I hope Red doesn’t mind this big steel dino trying to lay across both him and Serena when they’re on the couch. :)
Hyperion - I feel like after Hyperion got past some initial wariness, they took an interest in Red! They definitely were able to tell that his strength was no joke, and I don’t doubt they wanted to analyze how he battles just to better understand his strategies. Hyperion is a very logic-driven being, hardly relying on any emotional aspects to get them through life. The idea of love is very foreign and strange to them, but they feel they better understand it when they see Red and Serena together.
Etamin - A cautious dragon that wasn’t sure what to think about Red at first, honestly. Seeing Serena be friendly and happy towards someone always helps Etamin ease into comfort better, as he looks to her to see how she reacts around someone. And of course, her reactions around Red are always positive. He can be extremely fierce when it comes to protecting people he cares about, and Red is on that list now. He will do what he can to keep him and Serena safe with the same level of ferocity as Joyeuse would.
Cerberus - Cerberus is very similar to Etamin, in that he will also look to Serena to see how she reacts to a person. Seeing her be relaxed around someone tells him that they aren’t a threat. He may have been a bit skittish towards Red in the very beginning, but the more he saw him and Serena interact together, the more at ease he felt. It also helped that he has a rescue pokemon of his own, and it makes him feel a little less alienated.
Calista - Calista didn’t trust him, nor did she mistrust him. She simply observed for the time being in the beginning, until she deemed Red was fine. She has a lot of eyes and ears everywhere she can rely on, and nothing she heard gave her a bad impression. Like Serena, Red will get the best trinkets she finds while she’s out, including expensive watches and jewelry people drop in the streets. Or a really cool rock. She saves all of the prettiest things for the people she likes.
Yveltal - Yveltal knew from the very start that Red would be so good for Serena. Seeing them together at the Hall of Origin made him so happy, even if he didn’t outwardly show it. The way they danced and talked together made it seem like they’d known each other for years. The level of comfort and trust between them was so clear to him from the start. He was more worried about them not getting together, because he had never seen someone make Serena smile so brightly. Yveltal is very happy that they’re happy together, and he knows their love is the kind that will last beyond their lives. Red is also someone that Yveltal will aid with no questions asked, and he will kill for him if the need arises.

Couldn't sleep, stuff on my mind, so I decided to remember some fun times
Top pokemon battles of my life in no particular order
Vs Ultra Necrozma, Ultra Sun.
This fight is infamous among the community for being balls to the wall hard, most people saying they had to go back and grind just to fight it. To add more to this, Ultra Necrozma is up there with Mega Rayquaza in terms of power, aka the strongest stat wise in all of the game. Motherfuckin Light Dragon gets a TOTEM BOOST on top of this. He is capable of one shotting your team. Somehow, thanks to hours of my niece and I just petting and feeding my team AND thanks to a few items, I scrape by by the SKIN of my teeth with Decidueye's signature Z move after it survives an attack with 1 HP left. I haven't been the same since that fight. I've become one of those anime characters that keeps looking for thrilling fights now, never sated unless I can face death's foul breath head on and emerge victorious.
Vs Red, Silver version.
Here is a trainer that had been kicking my ass for so long I forgot what it was like to win. When HGSS came out I was excited to fight him again, but he was too easy compared to the past, mostly because of the change from Espeon to Lapras, which gave 3 of his pokemon a weakness to electric types. When Silver rereleased for the virtual console, I was reminded of this powerful trainer that pushed me beyond my limits as a child. My strongest pokemon ever naturally raised was a female level 99 Typhlosion, consistently getting stronger because I fought him so much. In a way he helped me train, but it didn't help much when my other team members was a level 70 Charizard, 68 Feraligatr, 50 Zapdos, and a couple of hm fodder. Although those pokemon are long dead now (no thanks to gen three not letting us transfer), the spirit of my first pokemon lives on in my 3ds Silver starter, another female Typhlosion. Unlike last time, I'm grown and know the game, and for the first time in my life I beat him in his prime on the first try. I cried as i saw Typhlosion land a crit Thunder Punch on his Charizard to win the fight. It was a milestone finally passed. You trained me and yet i never could beat you until years later after i had trained myself. Train on you tough bastard, i hope to fight you in your prime again some day.
Vs Iris, Black 2.
I know what most people say about this fight, let alone 5th gen, but while it wasn't necessarily one of the tougher fights I've had, it's honestly one of the funnest champion fights I've ever had. Most champions have this foreboding aura and theme to accompany the fight, most are insanely regal or cocky, but Iris was just a kid your age looking for fun times and her theme matched it so well too. Energizing, fun, poppin, that's what her song felt like and it felt less like a heart throbbing do or die moment to more of a "dude, you've been through hell, let's have some fun!" And it was! Samurott's final fight against her Haxorus was nailbiting shit tho- an attack that left him just CLINGING to life left us with just enough time for an Ice Beam to win. I want in danger of losing per se, I had revives and full restores at the ready, but I still have yet to replicate that precise feeling. Lord knows Diantha and Hau can't.
VS Steven, Omega Ruby.
Idk why but 3rd gen kind of feels neutral to me, like not the best but not the worst. Yet I will say, I've never had an "OH SHIT" moment like this fight. The rest of Steven's pokemon honestly weren't much to deal with, but everything changed when Mega Metagross attacked. I mega evolved Swampert for the first time in the fight, and I'm ONE SHOT somehow. This guy had HAD IT with playing second banana to a kid and getting his ass whupped by one Pokemon, he proceeds to TEAR through the rest of my team with a vengeance UNTIL Steelix saves my hide. To iterate, this fricker one shot a Mega Swampert and proceeded to beat a fire fang mighyena, a ninetales, a gallade, LATIOS, and is just stopped by Steelix the impenetrable fortress. I revived my team using him as a meat shield and wore him down until I could get in one last hit with regular Swampert and won. Steven isn't really up there in my book, but god mad respect to that clap back.
VS Red, Sun.
Maybe a copout having him twice, but honestly first seeing him when I did was a total surprise. To be honest, I had the most fun losing to him the first time than winning the second. I had survived the hell gauntlet of Poni Island to the Battle Tree just BARELY with my trusty Incineroar, expecting a pokemon center or a nurse. Nope. Its Red and Blue. Nope, they don't heal you before the fight either. I knew this fight was FUUUUCKED but even without recovery items I still sent my boi in. Pikachu goes down, somehow he lands a Crit Cross Chop on Blastoise, one shots Lapras with another Cross Chop but not without injury, obliterates Venusaur, and then Red sends out Charizard. Incineroar is slow af, he's in the red, I know he won't make it, but I try the Z Move anyway. Charizard attacked and should have killed him, but Friendship and Beans saved the day. We land a Malicious Moonsault on the guy, and it comes SO close to beating him, but not close enough. Charizard ends up defeating him and I white out... to be clear tho, I went back with a fully healed team and WRECKED him with Raichu, but for that brief moment I was reminded of childhood, relying on my starter to blaze me through the game. Bless the cat, he went in BLAZING with lucky shots after lucky shots and survived a fatal blow for me, and yet we still just barely lost. There is only ONE NPC I'll allow myself to feel good about losing to, and that's Red babey.
VS Blue, Yellow.
I forgot what I named him but I have to include this strictly because of how batshit crazy it was. The rest of our pokemon went down, and all that's left is my Pikachu named Pi (after pressing start too early to finish the nickname) and his Jolteon WHICH YES! He will have for some reason if you win the first two battles. Understand that Pi is just barely hanging on for dear life thanks to having its evasiveness maxed tf out thanks to Double Team, and Jolteon cant hit for shit. Pi is BASICALLY out of moves, sans Mega Punch. I need you to picture this championship match being won by a thousand Pikachu just launching punches at Jolteon like Naruto and his shadow clones or some shit while this fox thing tries to hit but cant because of clones, like Yami Yugi multiplying Kuriboh to create the ultimate defense against the ultimate attack that was Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon, but instead it's a thunder fox yipping angrily at a few hundred electric mice that keeps punching him with tiny lil fists, bonus lil boxing gloves maybe. I legit have never laughed SO HARD at a champion fight until this final bout. I like to think Blue still thinks about that fight. Just. "What. The fuck." I don't remember the rest of the fight because it was laughably easy but that part just got me

Bio:
So, I’ve been into this series for a little over 12 years at this point, and needless to say, it was literally my childhood.  When I turned seven years old, I got my first gaming system -a PlayStation 2- and the first video game I ever owned, Jak 3.
So I fell in love with the game, and I of course sought to own, and play, the whole series (when I was first playing the games, I played the third, fourth, first, and then the second game, in that order).  When I was about nine some things went down that caused me, along with my brothers, to have to move out of state to live with our grandparents, thus forcing me to leave my PS2 behind.
So for about eight years I've been waiting to play the games again, and of course, I lost my mind when I heard that they were being ported to the PS4.  They're literally the only reason I bought a PS4 to begin with! I've played all the games in the series except for Daxter and The Lost Frontier (the latter of which I'd only found out about last December, thanks to Wikipedia), but weirdly enough I couldn’t remember much of anything about the games after a year or two of not playing them (until I started playing them again in December 2017, of course!).
Currently, I’ve completed the whole trilogy, as well as X.  I'm more than open to discuss any of the three, so feel free to chat with me about them!
Sly Cooper Shitposts
Bio:
I got into the Sly series somewhat recently (July 3, 2018).  Since then, it’s been one of my favorite series, and one of the only series I play.  I don’t really have much else to add here, other than this: if you’ve never played these games, either play them or watch a let’s play (play them if you can though).  The entire trilogy can be found on Playstation Now if you have a PS4 and don’t want to hunt down a PS2 and all the games just to play them.
Ratchet & Clank Shitposting
Bio:
Like the Sly games, I got into this series pretty recently (March 26, 2018).  At the time I was looking to try out some PS2-era franchises similar to the Jak and Daxter series, which is why I initially tried these games out.  My first R&C game I played was the 2016 reboot, and while the humor, characters and all that weren’t the best, it was really fun to play and got me wanting to play the older games.  After a couple months or so I played some of the earlier games on PSN (Quest for Booty, Crack in Time, and Into the Nexus) and enjoyed them a LOT more than the reboot overall (mostly CiT though, since although I played QfB I didn’t especially care about it, and I enjoyed the intro for ItN a lot but got bored with it).
Hamilton Shitposts

Bio:
I’ve known about Hamilton since mid-2016 (thanks to a former friend of mine), but I actually kind of hated it for a while, because of said friend (let’s just say that she constantly shoved Hamilton content in my face without properly introducing me to the musical first).
It wasn’t until last December (December 2017) that I finally got interested in the musical.  My brother who lives out-of-state was visiting for the holidays, and he literally blasted Alexander Hamilton and Non-Stop in the house several times during his stay.  After listening to them a few times I actually really liked them (especially Non-Stop), so when I got some free time (sometime on 1/14/18, since of course I still remember the exact day I got into Hamilton), I decided to listen to the whole musical, and I loved it.
Now pretty much all I listen to is Hamilton.  I know I’m going to say this at the end of all these other bios, but seriously, if you want to talk to me about Hamilton, message me.
Guardians of the Galaxy Shitposting

#not gotg --Not Guardians related, but you should probably still see what it is
Ships/Pairings (Ships that are crossed out are my NOTPs):
Starmora (My OTP)
Roquill
Drax x Mantis
Bio:
So to start off, I thought I’d just say that I’ve only ever watched the films, but I have read a tiny bit of the comics as well.
I got into the franchise in early June last year (2017) when I saw Guardians 2 with a friend, and let me tell you, I really wanted to see it, despite not caring about the series at all.  If I didn't care about the series at the time, why did I want to see the movie so badly?  Well, let's just say that I only wanted to see it for that sweet, sweet "plot" if you know what I mean. 👀   I also just needed something to distract me at the time, since I had been going through some really difficult stuff around that time (I plan on making a post about what happened at some point, so if I do, then you’ll be able to find it here).  Once it was over I fell in love with the characters, and the franchise overall, since the second film had not only far exceeded my expectations, but it also helped me cope with the bad stuff that had happened to me not too long before.
Feel free to discuss the series with me, since I’m usually more than happy to talk about it.  Thanks in advance!
Ace Attorney Shitposts

Favorite Characters (Characters that are crossed out are characters that I don’t like):
Apollo Justice
Bio:
I’ve been into this series for about two... actually, almost three years now! (where has all that time gone?).
My brother actually got me into this series!  I watched him play Rise From the Ashes one night (I think it was somewhere around March 2015), and I was kind of interested in trying it out after that (although I kept my mouth shut about wanting to try it, since I was really self-conscious about trying new things at the time).
I didn’t get to actually play Ace Attorney until mid-June that year, when my brother one day shoved his 3DS in my hands, telling me to play First Turnabout.  After playing through the whole case, I got obsessed, and I was also really excited, since he was going to buy the trilogy for me on our Wii (he didn’t live with us, so he couldn’t let me play the games on his DS).  I didn’t officially get into the series until July 2nd that year, which is when I started playing the trilogy on our Wii.
I completed the first game in three days, and I was obsessed with Ace Attorney for about a year and a half after that (I think that’s the longest that any obsession of mine has ever been my, “Main Obsession”).  I also had a huge overblown crush on Phoenix most of that time (which is surprising in hindsight, since I couldn’t care less about him anymore).
I’m now just a casual fan of the series, and I’m down to discuss Spirit of Justice any time (since it’s my favorite game in the series), but I don’t really care to discuss the others (not usually, anyways).  So anyways, thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy my blog!

Bio:
I’ve been into Pokémon for as long as I can remember.  I know that I’ve been into it for at least 13 years, but I feel like I’ve liked it for much longer.
I didn’t start to really obsess over it until the age of 11, after getting Explorers of Sky for my birthday (one of the Mystery Dungeon games).  Once Gen. 5 had started, I only got more into Pokémon.  I mostly collected the cards, but I did also play a lot of Rumble Blast.  And let me just say, I was honestly so into the TCG, that it was kind of unhealthy.
I lost interest in the franchise for a little over a year, starting at the age of 13 (thanks to My Little Pony), but once I stopped liking MLP, I just went right back to obsessing over Pokémon, but with a bit less emphasis on the cards, and more on the games (Who am I kidding?  I was still immersed in the TCG world at this time!  Just, not quite as much as before).
After about a year of being addicted to Pokémon (again), I started to become more of a casual fan of the series, turning my interest towards other things (i.e., Ace Attorney and Steven Universe).
It wasn’t until I started playing Sun (a month after it released) that I started obsessing over the franchise (for the third time).  I became a casual fan again soon after finishing the game, which was somewhere in early March of 2017.
Currently, I’m just a casual fan of the series (aside from my several characters, who I’ve had around for three years at this point).  I can’t really suggest you trying to discuss Pokémon with me, since I am just a casual fan nowadays (Unless if you want to know about my characters I mentioned!).  Thanks for reading!
Miscellaneous:
Favorite generations: Five and two

Favorite Pokémon throughout the years (from oldest to my current favorite):

You’ve reached the end of this post; congrats!  I will be updating this as needed, so check back here as often as you feel like.  Thanks for reading, and have a nice day!

I was tagged by @the-white-tyger and @baelthrak for that 11 facts about you thing (something about how you gotta say 11 facts about you, I was slow at getting around to it but here we go) 1. I'm named after a confederate Civil War general- my dad is a huge history buff. I don't care for it in the slightest. 2. I'm short, standing in at about 5'7.5, yes that point 5 matters. 3. I started growing facial hair in 6th grade, It was really dark and everyone called me mustachio, I got rid of it as soon as I learned to shave 4. I talk and tell stories far too much, it's great sometimes, but other times I have a habit of prattling on forever trying to make sure I really set the scene 5. Speaking of stories, I used to tell "and suddenly" stories all through high school with my friends. These consisted of my friend s giving me a loose plot (we were all out walking on the mall, when a strange man crosses our path, and suddenly) which I would continue without pause for however long in saw fit. I told of grand adventures of raiding the coca cola factory to save the polar bears, to fighting giant monsters coming out of the football field. 6. I watch a lot of anime, but one of my absolute all time favorites is Clannad/and Clannad after story. I'm not being silly when I say it's the show that made me seriously want to have a family when I get older 7. I didn't come out of the closet to my friends until I crushed on a guy senior year of highschool. I came out to my parents after freshman year. To be fair, my friend group had already figured it out 8. My favorite pokemon is obviously the togepi line, but others include (but are not limited to: jirachi, chesnaught, bewear, minior, zorark, steelix, torterra, swampert, electivire, abamasnow, and quite a few others) 9. I am so so so so bad about watching movies. I like to go to the theater and see them, but I'm bad about watching them at home, for whatever reason I'd much rather marathon a tv show, it probably ties in to my slight anxiety with time 10. I get really anxious about large time commitments, even if I like what I'm doing. I have to often stop myself and say "just enjoy what the day brings, you're not wasting time if you're doing something over something else" 11. I was a huge fan of the anime Katekyou Hit man Reborn! While t was great I really liked the ring idea they had, so starting in highschool and carrying on to this day, I order a ring and give it to one of my friends I get really close to, and tell them that they're a part of my family now and we have each other's backs. My first tattoo will be based off that concept Well, that was fun and I hope you had fun reading! The people I tag in these things never do them, so feel free to tag yourself! If you say in told you to do it!
