I have finally created a Plex server! It is basically like my personal streaming platform where I can watch whatever I want as long as I have the files. In mmni terms, it’s my home cinema haha. Currently I have:

does anyone w a plex server want just a FUCKTON of movies n shows? i really like ripping dvds and have a big ol external hard drive w em but if i try n set up my own plex server my dinky lil laptop will start crying and throwing up so i’d like to contribute to other peoples’ instead till i can get a hardware upgrade lmao

Day 3 of being a Twitter Refugee!

I... Haven't done much today. Ate some hot dogs because my mom made them. I also loaded more music onto my homemade Plex Server ❤️

I have 2 8tb drives running in mirror mode! A 240gb boot drive, and a 240gb app/jail pool. It's using an i3-13100 (was on sale for regular model) and has 16gb of RAM.

This is all I have loaded on it. I have more content, but I'll care about that content later.

I'm also selling stuff to my friends so I can outfit the server with a better network card. I'm very new to home labs so I might use Tumblr as my big thinking ground for them?

Oh yeah this is a little sneak peek at my music it's mostly anime/video game music, I need new music to listen to...

deciding that im gonna run a plex server sometime this month ( if all goes well ).

now, i dont have a means to a nas, beelink, other type of server, etc bc space + financial means, so itll all be on my personal laptop.

that also means, i'll be downsizing on quality too, to save space bc my hdd is 1 tb and i have over 600 gb free buuuut...

i may get an external hdd in the future to move all the files from this laptop to that ( and sometime in the future, if all is well, move everything to a server ).

also found out like a month ago that i can turn plex into a live tv thing so thatll be fun to try out.

Happy Sunday! Came across Pattye’s entry in the Plex tv app… interesting… but the chronological order of her tv credits isn’t correct- her first tv credit was Room 222 in 1970- not The FBI in 1965 (in 1965 she was still in high school.) Guess they just followed the order in which the series premiered- instead of following the year of the episode she guest starred or appeared….. Emailed them already- maybe they’ll fix it…. Also the list is not complete- no Owen Marshal, The Manhunter? They're an Eclipse, but you can just call them Wu Dan

They are a theater bot from the Shanghai pizzaplex, they play the Wu Dan role (female warrior/fighter role) in Traditional Chinese opera. They can sing they can dance, they perform with a spear, and they do Bian Lian mask trick.

Most time they stay as Eclipse but if needed they can switch between Sun and Moon on command. As the picture shows, the red mask is Sun, the Blue mask is moon, the split face is when both are up but not in sync, they can’t stay like that for long it burns their battery, and the white face is Eclipse

Sun is more hot headed and extroverted, Moon is more ‘hohoho I’m evil’ and introverted, when split face, they’re mostly having a fight and they use their traits against each other, when Eclipse, their traits are combined creating an neutralized version of themselves

that’s my username on plex as well if anyone uses that too!! if you don’t use plex, consider using plex lmao it’s free and has so many great films available to stream (albeit with ads, but again—it’s free! I watched a restored Multiple Maniacs the other day, and Les Diaboliques, and The Addiction!) like amazing classics and high quality films, but also an incredible range of B-movies, so if you’re into horror and offbeat film in general, it truly is the streaming platform you should get onto 😘

I’m on break from work for another week and am truly hitting the ground running with film watching this year, because once term starts I likely won’t be able to watch as many lmao so I’m. cramming in as much film watching as I can.
