Guys. I tried to do art. I think I failed but I think it’s also fine???

I am in dire need of advice.

I don’t think this is good by ANY MEANS. But I don’t think it’s terrible for my first try in a WHILE, either.

Anyway, I ✨attempted✨ sketching Colin Bridgerton (or a period romance dude like him lol, Colin’s just my favorite), but I think I need lessons. Or like…I should take an art elective or go to a nearby art studio to learn how to do this shit.

Like…it’s not terrible?? I just haven’t seen a lot of the fan art I want to see, so if I’m not seeing it, I should make it myself right? But I am like…NOT CONFIDENT IN MY ART ABILITIES.

hello to both extra history nation & 17776 nation and to all the other media and tumblr nations out there if you run into this, i know that it's looking like tough times are ahead but i want you all to keep creating art and doing what you love, even if it's the least you can or are able to do i will always be proud of you for trying; life's a constant battle but that's why we come together in spaces like fandoms: for community and support. some of our kinships only go as far as being through a screen, but that doesn't mean that they matter any less. get out there and fight the good fight as hard as y'all can, we deserve to have something beautiful that, no matter how many times people try to ruin it, we can make a comeback from.

i leave you all with fancontent from my respective fandoms, i inquire anyone who runs into this, if they are inclined to do so, to also share some of their beautiful creations:
