hi hi send help guardian fandom im running into a sticking point for a fic. which is — like. we all know shen wei's double-take when he sees zhao yunlan leaning out of that window, right. but also shen wei ... knows to switch into heipaoshi on the rooftop at the end of the case? and we see lao chu explain him to xiao guo as a regular occurrence kind of thing? which implies that shen wei as HPS has been working with the SID this whole time? and presumably ... knows and has been interacting with zhao yunlan as chief of the sid?

what are people's headcanons about this???

is this just a "wow shen wei Really separates his worksona from his other worksona" moment? does shen wei look like zhao yunlan Like That as HPS all the time (and this is why HPS is soooo formal when he talks, out of self-preservation?) and we just don't see that? does shen wei have some Extremely Shen Wei set of rules for not being allowed to approach zhao yunlan as his professorsona and this is the first time he's talked himself into it?
