The 45th anniversary

For the very first time, the implicit 10-year rule was not respected . Like the other tributes from previous years, French and Quebec singers, without forgetting the members of the Starmania family cover some songs from the original album, with the first medley on television from the 2024 troop !!

Medley Star Academy and Popstar !

In 2001, a TV show called "Star Academy" will revolutionize the world of the small screen while exploding audiences for 4 consecutive years

The public will follow a handful of candidates who will spend several months in an “Academy” (the castle of Dammarie-les-Lys.) where they receive lessons, singing, dancing and theater . The most talented students have the chance to perform in featuring with famous singers and of course it is the public's favorite student who wins money and an album carried by a big music studio…

Two pieces of Starmania were covered by the academicians of 2004 and out of pure and selfish nostalgic love I wanted to share them with you :)

And popstar then ???

Popstar was the RIVAL show of the Star academy !! The principle was the same , the only notable difference was that the winning candidates became a girlgroup or a boysband

The public's interest in this show will run out of steam after barely two seasons, and it will only launch the (temporary) careers of the French Spice Girl : The " L5 "

Which, I DON'T KNOW WHY, we're doing an awkward cover of "Quand on arrive en ville" in front of Plamondon on the sets of the infamous Cindy 2002 ?!
