i'm currently going thru a break up and i felt like shit talking. will these my most objective observations? yeaaaaa. maybe not. feel free to argue with me, though.

Whenever entering a relationships, look at these placements within yourself and your future partner : your mercury sign (this will be important in arguments), your moon sign (will this person be able to fulfill your emotional needs?) and your venus sign (do you guys have the same perception of an healthy relationship?)

I actually do believe that when it comes to relationships, you need to have at least a few similar placements or at the very least same elements. i know they say opposite attracts, but in my humble opinion, similar stick together. Earth signs will always prioritize a stable, solid foundations and might get hurt by an Air sign's volatility.

Virgos judge way too much when it comes to relationships. I'd say unhealed, un evolved Virgos. Their perfectionism can get really suffocating when it is projected onto others and honestly, until they're healed and can accept their own flaws, it can really ruin the other person's self esteem

I've already talked about 12th house relationships in one of my earlier posts, but let me go back to this (now that i'm done with mine LMAOOOO). This ain't for the weak. 12th house is the house of hidden enemies. Unless you both accept that the other person triggers your deepest insecurities, you will hurt eachother and in that case, it's better to simply leave and learn your lesson

A Pisces mercury would do better be with other water signs mercury. They tend to talk in images and in a vague way, and their words always get distorted. I feel like another water sign would have less trouble understanding the feeling behind the weird words of a pisces mercury.

Another aspect that is important when it compatibility is the rising! Rising sign doesn't only represent appearances, it litteraly affects your whole chart. It talks about your values, your way of viewing life and navigating it. A Taurus rising will view life in a way that is completely different to a Leo rising, for example (while they may share similarities, sometimes it creates unnecessary conflicts)

Scorpios do get a bad rep in relationships and most of the times, it's because you've been on the other end of their wrath and that's the only thing you can remember. I've been badly burned by a Scorpio but that doesn't mean it'll take away their devotion, loyalty and pure love that I could experience with them. Not everyone will be compatible with a Scorpio, because it is intense, but being truly loved by a Scorpio is something everybody should experience

Air signs are mostly associated with relationships, friendships, flings. They sometimes get a bad rep that they're not loyal, they're not faithful. Unfortunately, I'm not here to demystify that, BUT! I'll say this: air sign are way less comfortable in relationships that they tend to appear. Most air signs have a deep wounded relationships with themselves. They simply have learned that in order not to deal with that, they could project it onto other people and/or play a role. Most people don't even notice and they get to stay in denial. Aquarius are scared they won't bring any value to the world, Geminis are scared of getting to know themselves and if they'll ever truly fit in somewhere and Libras are scared of their own flaws and would much rather fix themselves through a relationship. They're. running. from. themselves.

Will you ever truly get to know a Sagittarius in a relationship? Only if you're willing to spend most of the time playing the sweet gymnastic of : was this a lie or was this the truth ? Remember that they're ruled by Jupiter and they naturally have an inflated ego. The lies doesn't necessarily come from a bad place, per se, but much more a desire to always look good in someone's eyes.

I'll end with this: I don't actually believe that you shouldn't go through a relationship because of someone's sign or chart. BUT. These are energies that both of y'all will project. If you don't work on it, if you ignore it, if you pretend... They will play out.

Hwang Hyunjin ideal type & Relationships in general ꨄ

-Hyunjin's ideal type, relationship info, and anything else is based solely on his natal chart. His birth time is currently unknown, so I calculated this chart with that in mind. Some things may be slightly inaccurate based on that but I tried my best with what I have. Basically, I'm going to first do breakdowns of him in a relationship and his general type based on every aspect of his natal chart, then at the end an overview of all the things combined. The breakdowns will be more detailed, though, and contain more of my reasonings. The overview will combine everything together, and contain more info on his ideal type, as well as how he is in reationships. This is just for fun, please take this with a grain of salt! The breakdown of his side of things will be in normal text, while his type based on it will be in italics. I'm considering making an additional three posts: One more in-depth one going into Hyunjin's birth chart, another more in-depth one going into Hyunjin in a relationship, and the last more in-depth one going into Hyunjin's ideal type. Maybe even a more 18+ one we shall see. Let me know if you want that. This is definitely going to be more heavy on his Venus and Mars, as well as his Moon, Sun, and Rising signs. This will also begin with a few notes at the beginning, basically ratings based on the combination of all these traits.

F-Boy levels - 7.5/10 (I definitely think he would want a committed relationship, but it'd be hard for him to have one. It's a combination of so many things, with 1. Him being a star in his early twenties with millions of people thirsting after and worshipping him, 2. his placements implying HEAVY sexual desires, and just general high...Drive. 3. Some of his placements, when combined, point to him having a distinct inability to stick to one person, or commit to a relationship. Granted, when he does, he'd be the best boyfriend, but...Getting him to? One hell of a ride. Though this'll definitely be covered more in depth at the end.)

Boyfriend material - 7.5/10 (Honestly, if he wasn't so goddamn non-committal he'd be a 9. Hyunjin as a boyfriend would be amazing, all things considered, even if he can be a bit critical. Though, again, go into this in-depth at the end.)

Pisces Sun

Trust Pisces tend to wear their hearts on their sleeves when it comes to love and romance, but it's still an earned privilege, as they don't generally open up to just anyone. They're extremely selective with their inner circle, and when it comes to first impressions and gut instincts they're unswayable. Either they trust you, or they don't. No in-betweens. As such, he'd naturally be attracted to extremely honest people, as well as attracted to trust in others, as well as people who are very upfront and open. Not the type who will tell their entire life story to him immediately, but the type who will be upfront with their feelings and desires, and will essentially let him know what exactly he's getting himself into. Essentially, he needs someone he knows for certain he can trust, and who trusts him in return.

Sensitivity Pisces are very very sensitive when it comes to both themselves and the world around them. They're extremely touched by suffering; at least in theory. They believe in people and have a hard time saying no. They are also deeply hurt by a lack of compassion. They avoid harsh realities by escapism or delusion, but every now and again when they are faced with the harshness of reality, they retreat into their own world. They're definitely self-pitying when they get like that and give themselves pep talks, though they're prone to very extreme solutions in their minds, such as thoughts like "I'll never trust again!" that's usually fleeting. Those periods are also useful because bouts of self-pity make Pisces come back with a pep in their step better than ever. They help Pisces grow. They also make them even more compassionate and trusting. Pisces is a creative with angst, although this is brought out more in Pisces moons. He can also be very self-destructive, and worry about betrayal, though those around him may find it more endearing than anything. He can also be very self-sacrificial at times, even if his Pisces Sun will make him yearn for kind of the white picket fence dream. Pisces look for people who can be there for them, and help care for them. Someone who is in-tuned with emotions, and can help ease them through these periods and listen to their troubles, as well as talk about the deeper things in life. They need someone who's warm and compassionate and caring, as well as ideally someone with a confidence and steadfastness that helps balance out their sensitivity and generally self-pitying nature. Pisces also love praise, albeit they're very perceptive, so they'll know if it's honest, real praise or not. They like honest praise that's not just surface-level like "I like your shirt!" but something deeper and genuinely from the heart. They also need someone with enough emotional maturity to help combat their general emotionalness.

Indecision With Hyunjin's particular Pisces positioning, albeit guesstimated, he has a lot of conflict with his wants and needs, often leading to indecision. He also has a tendency to stray in many aspects of life, definitely putting the 'stray' in 'Straykids'. His ability to be objective is both a strength and a weakness because when he decides on one thing he's pulled in another direction. Something will always make him question his stance, often forming "What if..."s. He's always aware of the opposing side of the coin. In addition to this, he's strong-willed and sensitive, which can most definitely create conflicts when all three things combine, though they'd subside with time. There's often conflict between his more internalized needs, and his goals and motivations. Because of this, his private and public personas are entirely different, mirroring his inner and outer goals being different. Hyunjin would probably find himself more drawn to someone decisive, know what they want, and voice those opinions. He'd also be drawn to someone who could help guide him, and offer advice and counsel when it comes to decision-making, without being entirely overbearing or controlling of his decisions. Someone who could help him out, and who he could talk to when trying to make important decisions he can't seem to decide on. He'd also need someone who wouldn't be distinctly bothered by the difference between his private and public personas and would know that he still loves them and he's always going to be Hyunjin.

Virgo Moon

The Little Things Virgo moons find security in the little things. They feel content when all the little details are straightened out, and may even find genuine joy in running errands, balancing the books, and paying bills. Even if some won't let on, they still take care of those things happily. Though they can get very naggy. But as long as they're appreciated, they'll help take care of the lives of those they love as well. They're at their best when they feel useful and needed like they have a purpose and a role. If someone needs help they're usually the first to jump on the task. Many consider Virgo Moons to be underachievers, but in reality, most are simply content with living lives that are...Well, regular. They appreciate simplicity. Virgo moons definitely like to have someone they could care for, and look out for. They like being able to take care of their partners and feel needed by doing little things for them. Virgo moons are generally very domestic people, and they like taking care of chores and such. They definitely feel more in their element of caring for others and would prefer it to be that way. They're drawn to people who seem weak or even almost incapable, and who can't care for themselves on their own, so they can feel needed, and help out caring for that person.

Overwhelmed Virgo Moons are very easily overwhelmed by pressure and stress. They worry a lot, especially when there's so much to think about, and know their limits which is both a blessing and a curse. Virgos find solace in a steady routine, or a satisfying job. They need to feel useful. They need a place to call their own, and the space to do what they want to do. Virgos often gravitate more towards owning homes than renting because of it, as they want to be able to do their own thing in their own space without too many restrictions. He can sometimes even get fussy or complain-y if he's unhappy with something. They enjoy routine and freak out if the routine is not followed or deviated from. They are restless and nervous and fail to see the big picture in things sometimes. Often the best remedy for this is a job or hobby where they can express their deep need to analyze, micro-manage, and attend to details. Hyunjin would probably be drawn to someone with a calm, more laid-back, or relaxed demeanor to offset his being prone to getting very stressed and overwhelmed. He'd probably look for someone with a calm, balancing aura who can help calm him down when he freaks out about something. He'd look for someone who can help draw him out of his shell just enough, but still be able to follow a routine, and be a reliable constant. Practicality Virgo moons show love in more non-showy and practical manners. When it comes to open, gushy displays of emotion they can be stiff or freeze up, or not even know what to do. Oftentimes they'd even be uncomfortable with it. Virgo moons are often shy with new people, though when they open up they're anything but. They're talkative, and interested, and even interesting themselves. Virgo moons are trustworthy and reliable and can be counted on. Others can go to them for help and advice. He has a lot to give, and anyone he's with should have a lot to give as well. He'd need someone who's more thick-skinned, and could handle his criticism. He'd also need someone who trusts him, but doesn't trust him immediately or blindly. Ironically, an excess of trust would make him trust his partner less. Perceptive Again the rest of this is definitely delving more into exact positioning, granted very guesstimated. He's very perceptive and will tune into the emotions and feelings of others. Because of this, he'll often withdraw from others isolate himself, and get overwhelmed easily, because he's constantly drawing in the feelings, emotions, and energies of those around him. He may have strong and sudden feelings or hunches that can overcome him. Though, his intuition is almost always correct, though his imagination is strong and as such he can read too much into a situation. He also has a deep connection with music due to this placement, as it ties in with his understanding of compassion. Oftentimes music resonates with him, and can even hone into the more emotional sides of him. He can dissect music for its lyrics feelings meanings and emotions, and often does so. He uses music as an outlet for emotions, as well as to help relax and uplift him. Though he'd undoubtedly be quick to grow annoyed, even if he's generally calm, humble, gentle, and reserved. He also has a very good memory, especially when it comes to the little things about people. He's also very devoted by nature. Though he may be more passive, as he was probably branded as a "shy" child, and as such those around him jumped in to save him from more confrontational or aggressive situations, now he's much more passive and won't just go out and get what he wants. Pisces Mercury

The 'Kid' in the Stray Kid. He sponges up the feelings and moods of those around him. He's moody, and sometimes he's withdrawn while other times he's quite the opposite. He's tactful and will go out of his way not to offend others, though that may cause him to let people walk all over him a little. He has a flexible mind, and mixed with his imagination it can make him very gullible, though he's open to possibilities. He's indirect, and it can be hard to pin down his beliefs and opinions. He looks on the bright side of life. He is happy, optimistic, agreeable, and sociable. He enjoys speaking and writing and is very charming and artistic. His intellectual pleasures are heavily influenced by feeling, like many other things in his life. Though don't get it twisted, he's definitely on the amorous and sensual side of things. He likes beauty, the arts, traveling, and a change in scenery. He also aims for diplomacy and is very charming. He is tolerant, intelligent, has big ideas, and has a strong sense of justice. His judgment and sense are good, and he generally has his feet on the ground. He fully enjoys literature and learning and will be very socially successful. He can also be quick to see the flaws in situations. He definitely would not be drawn to a more moody individual, instead being drawn to people who can be more objective when it comes down to it, and are more calm and stable. He would be drawn to someone who can put up with the changes from talkative to withdrawn and would be fine with them. He'd also be drawn more to someone he could be more open to, and someone who isn't overtly aggressive, as he'd desire more calm in a relationship and avoids arguing. He'd need someone who can definitely knock some sense into him and combat his overall gullibleness, and his desire to believe those around him. He'd also be drawn to someone who he could be comfortable enough with to be straightforward, and voice his thoughts, needs, and opinions. He'd want someone with similar interests, and who's a fellow intellectual who. he can speak to about deeper topics, or literature. He'd also be attracted more to people who are alluring and sensual, kind of like the seductive type. He'd be attracted to someone with innate charm and beauty, not necessarily someone who fits beauty standards, but who he finds to be drop-dead gorgeous.

Pisces Venus

Love Pisces present themselves as very dreamy and soft-hearted partners. The way they flirt definitely promises a lovely time in more ways than one, and they can most definitely fulfill that promise. He has an elusive charm and is generally very playful, moody, and a tad irregular. He appreciates romance and poetry and prefers to feel out both his partner and the relationship, so there's not much planning ahead. (We'll conquer how that ties into his Virgo moon later.) His sensitivity can be a tad misleading. Yes, he's sensitive, but some lovers may find it maddening that his sensitivity isn't exclusive, but rather towards everyone. His love is unconditional, and he'll make it known. He's unimpressed by status and loves a person by who they are on the inside and that alone. He can be confusing and hard to pin down when it comes to his relationships. As much as he wants to, he'll find it hard to commit. Many do end up committing, though, at least on the surface. Pleasing Pisces Venus involves tender moments and romantic times. Do not expect honesty from them, if anything expect them to spin the truth a tad. But know they do it because they don't want to hurt you, and want to spare you any heartache. Try to know them, even if they don't often know themselves. Hell, most Pisces Venus have a love affair going with being misunderstood. Try to put up with their lack of direction in a relationship. Pisces Venus finds it hard to commit to any one thing, even people. You will be rewarded with accepting, unconditional love. He's attracted to an underdog or a wayward person in need of his help. He can easily get into saving someone or being saved, because he's attracted to martyrdom, or states of suffering. He is also attracted to being saved. He's actually into inequality, surprisingly. He'd definitely go better with someone who is entirely submissive, or entirely dominant, no in-betweens. Not only that, but he'd go better with someone who can go with the flow and feel the relationship out with him, instead of just planning everything out. He'd do best with someone who could put up with his occasional lies to spare their feelings. Someone who could bring the truth out of him, or someone who could read him well enough to figure out the truth on their own. He'd also do best with someone who can put up with his indecision, and even possibly help guide him in that aspect.

Generosity He is good-hearted and generous. He likes well-being, comfort, and a problem-free life of ease. He has good relations with those in his social circle, and is easy to approach. He also may fall in love easily. He has a successful partnership and professional life. People usually trust him. He definitely would want someone who's good-hearted like him, and definitely someone who's more calm and easygoing, and could fit into a life of ease and leisure. However, he could also go for someone who, for all their easygoing calmness, is a massive pessimist or realist, to balance him out and essentially take off his rose-tinted glasses. However, that may also create conflict. Definitely hit or miss. He'd do well with someone who's possibly an ambivert, someone who can be introverted or extroverted depending on the situation and give the best of both worlds. Someone who can keep up with him in social situations and also bring him out of his shell with new people.

Intensity In an attempt to control the outcome of a relationship or someone's feelings, he may resort to games or manipulation. Even if he succeeds at that, he never feels he loves someone for who he is, and this creates a cycle that should be avoided if and when possible. His feelings are intense, or even extreme. He might attract an intense love-hate relationship because of his intensity. He's passionate with love, but also with hate. He can easily put pressure on a partner with his expectations, namely expectations of absolute loyalty and honesty. Should avoid allowing relationships to get to a point where the partner is superfluous and he is working through his own inner demons through that person. He will learn about himself through relationships, and not always like what he sees. He meets himself (Most definitely a darker side, or "inner demons" but not in an emo way.) through his relationships, and it will be critical he will recognize it's himself and not project it onto his partner. Letting go of a relationship can be hard for him to do. Definitely "If I can't have you no one can." type of possessive...Definitely not a yandere but honestly I wouldn't be surprised if he has the potential. He'd undoubtedly need someone who can both give up control, but also put their foot down. Someone who can easily notice the beginnings of manipulation and snuff them out in a tactful way. Someone strong mentally, to not let them get to them. Essentially someone who can stop the cycle. He needs someone with strong feelings, but definitely not with the same intensity as his own, not in a way that they don't love as strongly, but rather that they're not intense and controlling and manipulating. He needs someone who can balance him out and is much more mellow in their love. Someone who can put up with possessiveness to an extent, but won't let it grow worse or become a habit, or even grow too extreme. Essentially he'd need someone who could put their foot down while still being mellow and being able to put up with it in small dosages and not often.

Aries Mars

Impulsive This is an extremely impulsive placement. The first instinct of people with Aries Mars is to take action. Quick flare-ups are common, but they don't usually last long. In fact, these people don't live in the past and don't have lingering resentment or grudges. Generally, their anger comes quickly and they deal with it just as fast, so there's little room for festering. When Aries mars people listen to their instincts they get things done and make fast and usually decent decisions. They don't stop and smell the roses, or consider other's points of view when they are deliberating over what to do next. In fact, it can barely be called deliberation with Aries Mars because it's so quick. Spontaneity is one of their assets, along with simplicity, purity of action, and innovation. He'd definitely need someone with a temper not as quick as his. Someone who can put up with these flare-ups and think rationally, and help him cool down. But because he's prone to letting things go, he'd definitely end up finding himself with a partner who keeps his grudges FOR him. Kind of like that meme that's like "Okay, I hate him too now, because you're too nice and you don't know how to hate anyone right.". He'd also need someone who's more rational and takes time to think logically. Someone who can balance out his impulsiveness, and maybe even teach him to be more patient and to think things through more. Though additionally, he could also go well with someone who's just as impulsive, though I see that quickly spiraling out of control.

Thrill Aries Mars are often a step ahead. A life that grows predictable quickly makes them extremely antsy. Aries Mars people enjoy starting fresh. New ideas, pioneering action, and fresh projects make them happiest. They also enjoy challenges. Relationships with Mars Aries can be exciting, but difficult to keep up with. They aren't known to stick things through, and are generally given to impulsivity. Although their physical energy is great, they can lose their initial enthusiasm quickly. They're also irritated if others are indirect, they expect others to say things straight up without beating around the bush. They easily become impatient with convoluted plans, or with people they consider to be slow to action. Most people with this placement also happen to have a childlike quality to them. Sometimes they're downright rude and impatient, but you'll always know what they're after. Unless Mars is afflicted in the chart, you can also pretty much trust that they don't have hidden agendas. He'd need someone who's exciting, and can keep him interested. Someone who is straightforward and has many layers, so they're always bringing something new to the table. He'd also love a chase, so he'd want someone who plays hard to get, but not too hard to get to where he grows bored of them. He needs someone fun, who can always keep him interested in them.

Love Love affairs are passionate and intense, downright filthy even, and showcase the darker side of both his nature and passion. He has a good sense of organization and is frank and sincere. He is full of dynamism and energy, and he also loves life, so he takes all it has to offer. He's inclined towards sports and the outdoor life, and e is successful professionally and emotionally. He may have many children or projects and ventures. (If he can actually commit. My man was set up for failure by this birth chart oh me oh my...) He is honest and forthright in his relationships, however detached, whether they're romantic or platonic, and he tends to trust others readily. He can be a bit careless about spending money, however, and this is probably because he is so optimistic that there will always be plenty around. The possibility of failure does not enter his mind, although success itself is not as important to him as enjoyment and happiness are. He can be pleasantly competitive and good-humored. He'd need someone who can match his passion and intensity when it comes to love and can indulge his darker desires. He'd need someone who's not necessarily as sporty and outdoorsy as he is, but at least keep him company or try for the sake of him to indulge him sometimes. He'd definitely need someone who is as driven as he is and could help him with his success. He'd need someone as honest and trusting as he is and someone who can actually earn his honesty and trust even if he has a tendency to give it to the unworthy. He'd also need someone to help him with his money management, who's more frugal or at least conscious of their spending, and has a plan and nice savings for the both of them. Again, he needs a realist and/or pessimist by his side. He'd also need someone with humor as well, and I can see him with someone competitive in a more playful way, who wouldn't just let him win but would definitely not play as hard if he was having a bad day.

Taurus Jupiter

Fortune He is patient, generous but discriminating, and charitable, so he receives good fortune from it. He should watch for over-indulgence, and he delights in sensual pleasures and wants the good life. He is serious, patient, honest, hard-working, and orderly. His judgment is good and he is inclined to think things over, and he also pursues his objectives to the bitter end, usually knowing when to choose the right moment. He is upright, usually law-abiding, and respects order. He is easily influenced, and he is a dreamer, perhaps allowing himself to be seduced by others' words which are not always sincere, or by a new imagined plan that may not happen. He does not see wickedness right away, preferring to give the benefit of the doubt, but can often be duped by others due to a philosophy that one should trust in people until they prove themselves untrustworthy. Our outer planets have been in finicky alignments with one another for a while now (starting in March 2020, which should give you some context...). This is often what makes the quote-unquote "interesting times" we live in; when the outer planets come out to play with each other, we tend to feel it hard in our world and personal lives.

Right now, our big players are Jupiter, our planet of luck and expansion, and Saturn, our planet of fate and constriction. Ever since Saturn stationed direct on 11/15, they have been moving towards an inevitable mutable square - one which they will repeat through 2025 as each planet moves in forward and backward motion with one another.

Jupiter and Saturn can be seen as planetary pairs and ultimately can be read in relation to one another as they are cosmic inverses. Both planets dictate our mode of time: Jupiter is fast, and Saturn is slow. When they meet up, it becomes a test of the giants to see who will win out over the other. Other than the Sun, they are the two most powerful planets, and they are, in many ways, each other's equal.

In theory, anyway.

What's important to know right now is that Saturn is not particularly well placed in the mutable water sign of Pisces (no favors there). Still, Jupiter is in exile in the mutable air sign of Gemini - so that's one point to Saturn. Additionally, Saturn is in forward motion, while Jupiter is in retrograde. That leaves us 2/0 in Saturn's favor.

This current square goes exact at 17° on Tuesday, but we will be stuck in this vice all week long. We are going nowhere (Saturn) fast (Jupiter). If this didn't include any person planets, it would still make us angsty and quick to fight.

But it DOES include personal planet energy (which is so much fun...). Mercury - now direct but not yet out of its post-retrograde shadow - will spend all week opposing retrograde Jupiter and square to Saturn, turning this already intense square into a petulant mutable t-square. The world will be angsty all week, and people will have THINGS TO SAY ABOUT IT.

The thing about this Mercury-Jupiter opposition is that both planets are in their exile - Mercury belongs to Gemini and Jupiter to Sagittarius. Not only are these two planets facing off (and ready to fight about it), but they are both showing their worst faces to the world.

Immature Mercury in Sagittarius is so obsessed with making sure the world hears it speak that it forgets to consider if its words are necessary or kind. Immature Jupiter in Gemini is so obsessed with looking right that it fails to check the facts or adhere to any part of truthhood.

This is an unfortunate augur for holiday get-togethers of all kinds as we can expect the most uneducated or uninformed among us to speak with the loudest voices.

And that's just Mercury-Saturn opposition's influence; we haven't even brought in Saturn yet.

In this case, I see Saturn's role here as one of its favorite faces: consequence. I don't expect we will just be letting our ass=hole MAGA cousins dominate the holiday table this time around. Take that as you will. And remember that consequence works in both directions, even when you know you are the person on higher ground.

I would advise you to do or say less, but I can see that it is likely not an option all week long. As well as this rough mutable t-square, our Sun in Capricorn is square the lunar nodes (adding a cardinal t-square into the mix) - a sign that some family ruptures need to happen during this time.

Someone will say you must be nice to Cousin MAGA because "family sticks together." Someone will pull the "blood is thicker than water" card, not knowing the whole scope of that quote. Saturn is here to say that you have the right to have boundaries - yes, even with family - but your boundaries have consequences. (that doesn't mean they aren't worth having)

You will probably need to decide how much togetherness or separateness YOU need, which is completely okay.

When I say take care of yourself first this week, I say so as an Aries moon native who strongly favors the North Node in this t-square between the Sun and the lunar nodes; you deserve to know my bias here. Taking care of yourself first doesn't mean not taking care of your others; it simply means you have the right to your own sovereignty. It means you don't need to walk on ground where you feel unwelcome. It means you don't need to accept gifts with strings attached. It means you don't need to sacrifice your own sense of self to appease Cousin MAGA (or whoever it might be in your family system).

Do what you need to take care of yourself first so that you can take care of your others. An empty cup helps no one.

This energy will lighten the farther we get into the week.

Energy Update: December 2024

December is a “2” Universal Month (12 (December) + 8 (2024) =20 = 2+0 = 2] in an “8” Universal Year. Two is a movement number – things begin to balance out from the pure creation of the energy of the “1” month prior, and decisions start to present themselves. This aligns poorly with the astrology of the month, which is dominated by two major personal planet retrogrades (Mercury and Mars). In order to seek out balance or come into alignment with what is, we may need to work backward.

The Set Up

We begin the month with the Sun and retrograde Mercury in Sagittarius, Venus in Capricorn, Mars deep in its pre-retrograde shadow in Leo, retrograde Jupiter in Gemini, Saturn and Neptune in Pisces, retrograde Uranus in Taurus, and Pluto in Capricorn. This month, we will only have two planetary ingresses: our Sun will enter Capricorn, and Venus will enter Aquarius. This is due to Mercury’s retrograde, which ends on 12/15, that keeps our planet of Communication, Travel, and Technology in the sign of its exile for an exceptionally long time.

The Details

All eyes are on Mars, which will retrograde on 12/06 at 06° Leo. This retrograde will stretch into the new year; it ends in late February, but the post-retrograde shadow will continue until the beginning of May. This is the Big News Bear of the month as it will impact our entire holiday season, but it also sets the tone for 2025.

Mars

Mars gets top billing this month due to its upcoming retrograde on 12/6. This isn’t a post specifically about the retrograde (that’ll be out later – look for it in your email if you’re signed up for my mailing list), but it is significant enough to warrant a brief discussion. Mars is the slowest moving of our personal planets and tends to retrograde every 26 months or so. Because this planet dictates our modes of action and energy levels, we can expect forward motion (as a whole) and output to be lower during Mars’ retrograde periods. This is business as usual and the expected result of a Mars retrograde, but that doesn’t mean that people will be comfortable or accepting of this outcome.

Therein lies a lot of the struggles of a Mars retrograde cycle. Many of us (especially those ruled by Mars – Aries and Scorpio – or those with strong Martian placements) rely on accomplishments and consistent action to regulate our nervous systems. When thwarted, the Martian temperament can get aggressive and moody. Some types can be pushy or overtly forceful, and if one thing is for sure, it is that nothing should be forced during a Mars retrograde. Let it unfold slowly, and try to enjoy the ride.

This retrograde starts in fixed fiery Leo and ends in cardinal watery Cancer. A lot of people are going to fuck some shit up so that they can feel like they are still sitting on their throne and likely cry about it later.

It’s wise to remember that the planets aren’t here to hurt us, no matter how much our dysregulated brains might try to tell us so. Instead, if we look at planetary retrogrades as an opportunity to review, restart, realign, reassess, and rejuvenate, they can actually be valuable times of othered space. Each planet in retrograde adds a layer of the liminal to the space soup, and the more planets in retrograde at a time, the more liminal our space becomes.

It’s worth noting here that Mars’ retrograde overlaps with Mercury’s in December by five days (from 12/6-12/15). These are powerful days to slow down and assess where your life is and what you need to change to move forward. This is especially fortunate for those who celebrate the new year in January, as it is an early chance to align yourself with your goals for the year ahead.

Mars will station direct on 2/23, so this is a long-game transit – much longer than Mercury’s month-long retrogrades. Other than slowing us all down (and probably causing some significant tifts over the holidays), Mars won’t be doing much this month as – during the time when a planet stations (changes directions) they tend to hold their position in the sky for an abnormally long time. If you have a personal planet in the early degrees of the fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius), you might feel the strain of Mar’s lack of movement all month. Expect things to get angsty. Expect divas to be on the very biggest tears. It is what it is; I find Leo’s energy pretty easy to walk away from if it’s getting to be too much, but your experience may vary.

Iron gate boundaries might be in order, especially with that incredibly demanding family member who never figured out that they aren’t the main character in your life. You might find that you need to do less; if you do, know you are right on time.

Mars retrogrades are almost inevitably challenging. Even if you can manage your own life slowing down (some of us even like it this way), you still have to deal with the absolute temper tantrums of those who can’t stand still for whatever reason. Stay aware of the Aries, Scorpio, and Capricorn types in your life (Sun, Moon, Ascendant, and Mars placements mostly here) or anyone with Mars in Cancer or Leo. They may be seriously losing their shit (and, if so, iron-clad boundaries, as I said), but they may also just need support as to what to do when you can’t do.

This retrograde aligns well with the season of withdrawal (lovingly called Fallowtide by some) but less well with our hustle-and-bustle holiday season. It’s okay not to do anything, especially if you are prone to low energy for any number of reasons. Take care of yourself often and early.

Our Lights: The Sun and the Moon

Our big win for the month is our two new moons – the first in Sagittarius on 12/01 and the second in Capricorn on 12/30 – which bookmark our month. Our Capricorn moon is especially auspicious because – as I have mentioned elsewhere – in 2024, we had two Capricorn new moons and two full moons. If, as I suggested, you have worked the Capricorn moons this year, this is your fourth and final chance to do so. Even though it is early from a calendar perspective, I would do any magic working or intention setting for 2025 during the hour of the new moon on 12/30. Capricorn is THE sign of long-term planning. Use that to your advantage.

We begin the month on 12/1 (always significant as the 1st dictates the energy for the month ahead) with a new moon at 09° Sagittarius in a t-square with Saturn at 13° Pisces and retrograde Jupiter at 16° Gemini. It’s worth noting two things here. The first is that Sagittarius, the sign of our lunation, is ruled by the planet Jupiter, which is currently in the sign of its exile, Gemini. Luck is on the fritz right now, and all that glitters is most certainly not gold. Additionally, this square between Jupiter and Saturn is Ascendanting meaning that the two planets haven’t actually met at a 90° angle; we are working towards this square, not away from it.

This square between Jupiter and Saturn, currently in Pisces and Gemini, will be a major player in the energy of 2025. The planets meet in an exact square on the Pisces-Gemini axis and the Aries-Cancer axis. Luck may have gone awry, but this is an opportunity to glimpse what lies ahead.

So you are saying, there is a chance. On this day the answer is almost irrevocably yes.

Our Sagittarius new moon is a 9/2 new moon. 9 (Sagittarius moon) + 9 (Sagittarius Sun) = 18 = 1+8 = 9. 9 (Sagittarius new moon) + 2 (December 2024) = 11 = 1+1 = 2.

We are in the midst of some big endings, symbolized by the “9” energy, but the “2” echoes the glimpse into the future and the choices that lie ahead. This is a day well spent in divination or pathfinding of all kinds.

Our Sagittarius Sun squares Saturn on 12/04, which should not surprise anyone. Everyone is being held accountable for their actions in some way or another. This is business as usual; the Sun squares Saturn twice a year, but I’ve always noticed that it seems to show up like clockwork when the world needs it the most. Any Sun/Saturn transit adds a lot of power to magic used for justice and to hold people accountable for their actions. The sign of the archer can be especially helpful for Justice spellwork as Sag has a natural desire toward the highest good. If you work with runes, the Tiwaz rune would be especially useful during this time.

Our full moon falls on 12/15 at 23° Gemini. It is mostly unaspected besides a square to Neptune in Pisces, which carries energy similar to a major lunation anyway. This is also the day that Mercury stations direct at 06° Sagittarius. The twofold nature of switching, Mercury in direction and the Moon in purpose (wax on/wane off if you will) can be used to enact many types of magic for change. Mars is retrograde by this point, though, so be careful how you word anything focused on movement in the physical world during this time. Think Road Opener rather than a spell to force direction.

Our Gemini full moon is a 3/5 full moon. 3 (Gemini moon) + 9 (Sagittarius Sun) = 12 = 1 + 2 = 3. 3 (Gemini full moon) + 2 (December 2024) = 5.

3 is our Manifestation number (useful for all types of magic), and 5 has the go-to-itsness to break through nearly all barriers.

Once the Sun enters Capricorn, it squares the lunar nodes on 12/23. Our lunar nodes will leave the Aries-Libra axis for Pisces-Virgo at the end of January; this is the end of the line for this cycle. Capricorn, ruled by Saturn, can work too hard to keep the peace at times; where are you saying “yes” when you really mean “no” in your life? This might be one less thorn in an old wound or pass less painfully. Cardinal signs are the most likely to notice this transit.

It all comes full circle to our new moon at 09° Capricorn on 12/30. This lunation is still in a wide square to our lunar nodes and is also sextile to Saturn, echoing the energy of that early Sun-Saturn square. Both Saturn and the lunar nodes rule something you could classify as fate or destiny. But in a less woo way than many would use the terms today. Some things are meant to be. You live. You die. A volcano erupts. A major plague races across the land. Because you took your first breath at this exact time in that exact place, you will live through these things. Because our Moon touches on both, but not in exactitude, I would expect all of us to be contemplating our place in the universe a bit during this lunation. Both where we have been – our place in this existence – and where we are going.

What can we can do to help? (Helping is the best way to actualize Capricorn energy)

Our Capricorn new moon is a 2/4 new moon. 10 (Capricorn Moon) + 10 (Capricorn Sun) = 20 = 2+0 = 2. 2 (Capricorn New moon) + 2 (December 2024) = 4.

I have to giggle at this because I consider Capricorns to naturally carry a lot of “4” energy around with them. “4” is a very balanced number; it is all about structure. What are Capricorns doing if not shoring up their world to protect it from the elements? (as is their nature, being born in the deep winter months) When considering the power of the Number 4, I would ask you to think of the older man-made structures still standing. Did the Egyptian pyramids come to mind? That is “4” energy; it grounds in all directions; it has longevity. Again, this 4 energy makes this a great day to do magic or set intentions for the new year ahead. You may wish to set an intention that will become manifest by the Capricorn full moon on 7/10/25.

Mercury

For the first half of December, Mercury will be moving backward in retrograde towards 06° Sagittarius, where it will station direct under the light of our Gemini full moon. This is notable because Mercury is the ruling planet of Gemini; this will be a day highly invigorated with Mercurial energy. We should all realize by now that Mercury retrograde is business as usual and simply a change in the expression of our “normal” Mercury energy. I’ve written more about this particular Mercury retrograde here.

It’s worth also remembering that Mercury is in exile in Sagittarius because Sagittarius is the opposite sign of Gemini, the sign of Mercury’s domicile. In Sagittarius, thoughts can be demanding, and people can become convinced that their way of thinking is the only right way. We all need to watch out for intellectual elitism and educational superiority, two bad behaviors of Mercury in Sagittarius. Every lived experience brings a different story and background to the table, and we need each to function together rather than separately. This is the first hit on this lesson, and it will take on a greater meaning as our North Node enters Pisces next month.

This retrograde cycle involves big hitters Jupiter in Gemini and Saturn in Pisces. This circles back to what I said above about Jupiter square Saturn having a big part to play in the year ahead. We often visit troublesome aspects through Mercury first. This cosmically makes some sense because when presented with a problem, to proceed, the best course of action is usually to think something through. Keep in mind that in firecracker Sagittarius, Mercury does not seem inclined to take that kind of time.

It is an oversimplification, but Jupiter brings the Go/Expansion energy and Saturn the Stop/Retraction energy. This is interesting because Jupiter gets nothing but space to expand in formless, airy Gemini, which you would think it would like, but it really doesn’t (it is the sign of Jupiter’s exile), and amorphous watery Pisces does nothing to give Saturn the form it so desperately requires. Neither giant is at its best, making them more demanding. In this case, Saturn will always be the rock, and Jupiter is playing the role of the hard place.

Mercury has to pass through this vice three times. We’ve done this once while Mercury was in forward motion and when Jupiter and Saturn weren’t in a very tight square. The second pass happens early this month between 12/04 when Mercury opposes Jupiter (each planet in its exile, a nasty untethered opposition) and 12/06 when Mercury squares Saturn. We might want to expand during this time (or just jump out of the way of the rocks rolling downhill toward us), but there’s nowhere to go. This is the hole of Mercury’s retrograde cycle; I’d bet most people fall into it somehow.

Alternatively, you could be trying to get your ball rolling, and one thing after another keeps getting in the way. This kind of aspect works both ways, sometimes both ways in the same situation, which can be extremely uncomfortable.

That the Mercury-Saturn squares goes exact as Mars retrogrades on 12/06 tells us a lot about the character of that day. Just don’t. If it’s not Essential, emphasis on the Capital E, do it another day. Things generally grind to a halt for a reason. You can force the wheels or look for a rock in the tires. The choice is, of course, up to you.

And then, just in time for Christmas, we get our third pass-through of this rough t-square between Mercury, Jupiter, and Saturn between 12/24 and 12/26, this time with Mercury in forward motion. If you need to make amends for anything you said out of line earlier in the month, this is the time to come clean about it. The more you take responsibility for your own part in this mess, the less pressure Saturn will put on you. Always placate Saturn first; Jupiter is too all-important to care about turn order.

Things will feel a bit easier after Mercury’s retrograde ends mid-month, but Mercury remains in its exile all month long as it tracks its way all through its post-retrograde shadow in Sagittarius. The benefit of Sagittarius is that most Sag will tell the absolute truth as they see it. Sometimes, that includes coming clean about things, too. It should be no surprise that this will be a holiday season full of hard conversations; we can hope that at least they include honesty and words spoken from the heart. (Sag sometimes needs to be reminded they have a heart, but they will come in strong once encouraged there)

Mars will greatly overshadow this retrograde, but keeping it in the back of your mind is still important. If that person is just talking out of their ass, maybe make a snide comment to yourself, blame Mercury, and walk the fuck away. If it takes an extra two hours and a detour to get to Gramma’s house, that’s two hours less of talking to Uncle Eddie. Make sure you are sending those nudes to Tara in Sales and not Tara, your boss, if you know what I mean. Things tend to go awry during a Mercury retrograde cycle when we are on autopilot and not paying attention.

The easy and obvious anecdote to that is to pay attention. Standard Mercury retrograde advice applies: save often, double-check before you hit Send, and expect delays. Your friendly neighborhood Geminis and Virgos will be down for the count like they are every Mercury retrograde. The energy of all things communication, technology, and travel will be slower and deeper as Mercury wanders the low road. The more you can work with Mercury’s energy rather than against it, the easier your life will be.

Mercury exits its post-retrograde shadow in early January. We will have relatively smooth sailing with our planet of communication until the end of March and early April.

Venus

Venus is almost two full signs ahead of our Sun and Mercury all month long as it begins the month in Capricorn and ends it in Aquarius. It is on its own journey, which doesn’t really include stepping in to help out with the inevitable squabbles that are bound to come up all month long as both Mercury and Mars retrograde in fire signs. Venus can be pretty far out there in the fixed air sign of Aquarius and, at times, even unattainable.

Venus makes two major appearances this month. First, Venus will conjunct Pluto at 00° Aquarius on 12/07. Pluto is our outermost planet and seems responsible for the erosion of all things through the lens of time itself. Of course, in Roman mythology, Pluto was the god of the Underworld. On a long enough timeline, all things end: nations, marriages, lives, and this world.

Pluto has never before been in the sign of Aquarius when astrologers knew of the planet’s influence, so we can only surmise what this new journey will bring to humanity. But we will taste it through a Venusian lens this month.

Then, on 12/12, Venus opposed retrograde Mars in Leo. This is pretty big break-up weather, but that shouldn’t be anything to worry about if you are in a safe and secure relationship. Leo and Aquarius aren’t that different from one another (Sun sign opposites are and should be ready as a pair), but where they differ is very stark. Where Leo is a traditionalist, Aquarius is pointed straight toward the wildest of infinite possibilities. Leo wants the world, and Aquarius wants the universe. They can become aligned but often choose not to out of ego and the inability to step off their respective daises.

Fixed signs aren’t inclined to move; that much is for sure, and this will go doubly for all Martian and Leo types during this time. If anyone is going to give an inch, it will have to be Aquarius.

Although I specified break-up weather, I want to clarify that relationships do not always involve love, sex, or romance. We are in a relationship individually with each of our family members, with our best friends and our worst enemies, and with our bosses and coworkers. American culture puts a huge emphasis on love and sex, but relationships exist of all kinds. We talk about wars between nations but rarely about wars within families or workplaces. The interplay between Venus (receiving) and Mars (giving) shows us how our relationships are flowing – even international ones between nations. Together, they give us an idea of how easy it will be to get along.

Oppositions are fidgety and difficult to read, even for the most seasoned astrologer. Sun Sign opposites can differ in specific ways but are also quite similar and desperately need each other. The conflicts that will arise during this time CAN be resolved, but it calls for somebody to step down and let the other by. Neither planet looks well poised to do so, which is generally unfortunate. We still get free choice, though; that’s the beauty of how the above is reflected below: the planets dictate that there will be conflict, but WE still get to choose what we do when it happens.

What is worth fighting for? Is it worth standing up to the one you love the most? Is it worth standing up to your family? Is it worth standing up to the world?

Many of us have to grapple with this right now, and I think many people will say resoundingly, “Yes.” I’m not here to give you the correct answers because my trials and choices will differ infinitely from yours.

What I am here to say is that there is a reason (in the skies and our lives) why people are going to choose Fight this holiday season, and we should think about both how we are making those choices for ourselves AND how we should respond when someone decides they want to fight with us. The big flex all month will be to pick your fights, but we all know that will be easier said than done.

I’m choosing to discuss conflict in the Venus section for a reason. Diplomacy plays as important a part in conflicts as Action, though culturally, we often downplay this. Venus in Aquarius can be talked into looking back at the rest of us earth landers, but only if you speak to her higher nature and propose something new and innovative. Venus in Aquarius doesn’t have time for momentary peace; it wants the whole package or nothing at all. The craziest idea might be the one that is the solution all month long.

Jupiter and Saturn

Our two intermediate planets, Jupiter and Saturn, play a major role in dictating the pace of our lives. Jupiter, the planet of Luck and Expansion, quickens everything it touches, while Saturn, the planet of Time and Consequence, slows or halts. We need both of these forces in our lives. They are moving in and out of squares for the next year.

The first square happens on 12/24 with Jupiter in Gemini and Saturn in Pisces. Neither planet is at its strongest here, but Saturn probably wins out due to Jupiter being in its exile. Expect things to be slow. But that’s also indicated by our Mars retrograde, so let’s say it’s extra slow. This first square includes Mercury in Sagittarius square to Saturn and opposed to Jupiter. This is a harsh mutable t-square, which will have everyone scrambling but few finding solid ground.

You may notice this repeating cycle of three squares (one in December and two next year). If it sounds awfully like a retrograde cycle, that’s because it is. This is happening because Jupiter (being the faster-moving sign) has caught back up to Saturn (by degree) and is now going to retrograde forward and back again thrice across Saturn’s path. Jupiter and Saturn will both change signs in 2025 in synch with one another – this will put a lot of stress on the line between Gemini-Cancer (for Jupiter) and Pisces-Aries (for Saturn). We will be in this push/pull cycle for a while; this is just the first pass.

Looking Forward

Hello January! Hello 2025!

The big deals in January will be our Mars retrograde and the changing of the guard as our lunar nodes slide onto the Pisces-Virgo axis. The big deal for the year is that Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune all change signs in four months. As we move into each new sign in 2025 with our Sun, Mercury, and Venus, we are forced to confront all of our outer planets in unison. We are on the event horizon now.

Ok so "us against the world" dynamics are hard to pinpoint. Usually its one sided because synastry is usually based on a bias POV.

But what i think about is obviously Scorpio/8th house/pluto themes. ALSO saturn because saturn rules karma

Anchorage, Alaska (based loosely on the Robert Hansen case, where Agents will hunt the most dangerous game.)

Panjshir Valley, Afghanistan (an inversion of the Kali Ghati scenario where Delta Green agents will conduct an insurgency against GRU SV8.)

Lisbon, Portugal (unlock the secrets of the Knights Templar and their ancient, doomed war against the unnatural.)

Tokyo, Japan (Delta Green agents are forced to team up with Genyosha to investigate the rise of extreme film.)

Panama-Nicaragua Border (following the footsteps of Sub Rosa and the legacy of Delta Greens brutal history.)

Baltic States, USSR-ish (Closing the story with a last conflict between GRU-SV8 and Delta Green during the Baltic Chain protests.)

I can only do 10 of those 11 initial ideas, so I'd need to drop one. Most likely Lisbon or the Baltics campaign. The Portugal one because it can really be set in any era and I feel like it doesn't quite fit the theme of the other campaigns-- though I like it because it's different enough to be a refreshing break from the others like a nice Iberian vacation for your Agents. The one in the Baltics would tie a lot together in the end as a backdrop to a final showdown between old rivals that would be built up over the series, but the scope is big enough to make my head spin. Curious on others thoughts.

Along with these, some would have their own mini-scenarios with their own maps tacked on for oneshot "flashback" sessions to play out information revealed in-characters through some other means like reading an intelligence report or hidden tome. These are meant to be more experimental, for fun, and not meant to be fleshed out to a full campaign. That would include, potentially:

The Sino-Vietnamese border clash of 1979, playing as Kuen-Yien agents

Northern Ireland, playing as the Army of the Third Eye or

Ancient Wales playing as aspirant Knights of the Round Table (like ancient PISCES)

A Hollow Earth section in Agatha for Mammoth Caves

Land-Between-the-Lakes, Kentucky in 1955 responding to the Hopkinsville Goblin case

Kodiak Island as an Anchorage late game expansion

Playing as Knights Templar in medieval Antioch (for Portugal)

Teutonic Knights in medieval Riga (for the Baltics)

This shits a lot, and it's going to take me a loooong time to cover it so any sourceguide drafts will be mostly outlining these settings assuming I stick with tackling all these overtime. But insight, encouragement, or especially suggestions is from fellow Agents and Handlers who listen to my rambling ass will be my bread and butter throwing this together so please, I encourage anyone to ask questions or give advice!
