Entry #23:

Write a scene in which your character wins a bet.

"Hand her over!” I shout angrily, glaring at Pidgebeetle. “I’m the one who won the bet.”

Pidgebeetle’s lookin’ around like he doesn’t remember or something. But the truth is, we made a bet earlier. He thought I wasn’t able to steal the cookies from Winged Baby’s party, but he must not know that I’m a pro at that! Me and the little ones always used to steal food from Gair’s house, since we were livin’ on the land.

“Uhhh, I wasn’t actually serious about that, Pigger...” he says, scratching his head.

“Then where’s Chila!?” I shout out, angrily grabbing onto him.

“Oh, uh, settle down! She’s just sleepin’ in the back!” he says, pointin' to a room behind him.

“Ihhh you’re really bad for them!” I shout, rushing into the room. And just like he said, Chila’s sleepin’ peacefully in her sleeping bag. I can’t believe that bird tricked me, just so he could have some cookies...

Tag World is a World run by birds where they're known for playing a lot of games. They have hot springs there that The Nays visit every night. This is one of The Worlds that The Nays visit most often (even if it's not one that they're particularly fond of).

I've been working on art a lot recently, but haven't been able to post any of it. So I decided to read the Master Bird Eventure and do some storyboard drawings of a bunch of the moments throughout that part of the story.

I finished up the Pidgebeetle's training portion of the Tag World Eventure last weekend! There were a bunch of moments that I wanted to draw, so I went ahead and drew at least one scene from each song that played on this Eventure. This is a really fun project and I kinda wanna do this more.

Day 4 of Huevember is Pidgebeetle as a group leader from the Nay Recruiters timeline.

I listened to music and doodled during my lunch break today to take a break from coding.

For this month's Improvement Movement challenge, I drew The Nays riding in Pidgebeetle's Pidge Flyer vehicle. I decided to turn this into more of an illustration and actually showcase how it works a bit.

June was pretty rough, so I didn't draw much. This is all I've got for this digital sketchbook page and most of these were drawn earlier in the month.

[ 013: Light Festival Eventure ]

The Nays celebrate their first Light festival in Tag World. Pidgebeetle takes The Nays to the celebration after they face a harsh snowstorm.

I decided to draw another drawing for the Gamishness project I was doing a little while back. This one is from TNWTLT Eventure, when future Zandra arrives to warn The Nays about a fearsome foe. And this one is in Oxenfree style! It was hard to emulate the 3D part through a painting, AND I decided to draw all 18 characters that were there (there were even like 5 more not pictured), so I didn't get as much time to spend on details. But the main thing I admire about the Oxenfree style is their text bubbles! So I made sure those looked the nicest. Background are not my strongest point, and that is a huge focus of Oxenfree, so this was a big challenge for me!

I made some concepts for what Pidgebeetle's training uniform for The Nays might look like. I wanted to make it more bird-like, and redid his symbol.

Winged Baby is a bird-in-training who rivals Pidgebeetle and focuses on training his nays rather than enjoying time with them while they're in Tag World. He is very competitive and will do anything he can to win. He will often throw a temper tantrum when he loses a game or competition. Winged Baby is very stern and puts his nays through vigorous training, so they listen to his every command. He does not care about the feelings of anyone and always wants to become stronger.

Entry #15: 

One of your characters has been mistaken for somebody else. Write what happens next.

"Is that you... Theodore?” I hear someone behind me ask. I turn to see a very unfamiliar pink guy. He looks like a firefighter, maybe.

“Oh, no, I’m Doge. Sorry, I think you got the wrong guy...” I admit, scratching my head.

“Oh that’s a bummer... I wish I could find my old pal,” the pink guy says, looking down sadly.

“So who is this Theodore guy? Is he a dog like me?” I ask, putting my hand on the pink guy’s shoulder.

“Yeah, he’s a dog alright. He was a “Nay Child” just like me. And he was super good at dodge ball,” he replies.

“Ohh I love dodge ball! Willus used to call it Doge Ball... But hold on, what’s a Nay Child?” I ask.

“We were supposed to act as children to The Nays... Pidgebeetle thought it would help make them grow up and become more responsible. I don’t think it worked, but at least I have a new dad! Grenna’s a nice guy,” the pink guy explains.

“Oh yeah, I never got your name either!” I say.

“That’s right, I’m sorry. My name is Gloulp,” he responds.

[ 018: Cipo Eventure]

Cipo is put in charge of The Nays after Hawkin and Pidgebeetle are sent off to work in farther away areas. Punchy meets his new friend RoaR at one of the camps that The Nays go to.
