We finished writing the Garlint Eventure last weekend so I decided to draw a bunch of storyboards from it. These are mostly from the second half of the Eventure, which is the part we just wrote.

Day 19 of Inktober: Sling ~ Veetoff

It's been awhile since I've just sat and listened to music for a long time while sketching. So I blasted some of my favorite songs and sketched my characters for an hour.

We finished the Hide & Seek Eventure the other day so I wanted to draw some more storyboards of the new parts that we just wrote.

When Gair doesn’t follow along with Veetoff’s plan, he’s devastated and full of emotions. Another sketch from the Garlint Eventure!

[052: Time Fabric Island Eventure] The Nays crash land on Time Fabric Island where they are ambushed by Leopold. Veetoff takes it upon himself to kill Leopold after a fight though.

I wrote the Light Festival Eventure the other week and decided to do my Concept Sunday drawing based on it!

And so during that Eventure, there was a fight between Veetoff and Gair (in light of the "Ho Go Gag" animation made over 10 years ago). At this point in the story, Veetoff has a very strong hatred for Gair, because Gair's father Jaboo just killed his father Garlint. This is the first time Veetoff sees him after the incident, so he's ready to deal out his revenge.

I had a lot of fun playing with lighting and effects in this drawing. Lighting is usually something I don't spend a whole lot of focus on, especially in my sketches, so this was a fun challenge.

28. Veetoff & Gair Veetoff has hated Gair ever since he found out his grandpa was the one who betrayed the Tano tribe. Veetoff always picks fights with Gair and calls him "the traitor," so they're basically rivals now.

This is on Inferno Colony #3 where Veetoff is training Gojo so that they can survive.

Luneya is a very obedient Tano who follows through with orders no matter what. Because her brother is Garlint, she takes orders from him very seriously and will do whatever it takes to protect him. She bestows this same attitude into her son Shintiku, making him almost fearful, yet obedient, to Garlint's son Veetoff. Luneya is very powerful and a talented tactician. She never puts her feelings into work, and is always doing what's best for her tribe as a whole. Luneya rarely thinks of anyone's feelings, so she puts up a very static front, not emoting a whole lot in general.

It's the start of Digicember for this year! With Super Smash Bros Ultimate coming out in less than a week, I decided to make this year's theme be SSB! Whenever The Nays have a tournament in the game, they always use certain characters. So I'll be drawing 1 M Nay and 1 S Nay that use those characters and theme these drawings around them. For the first day, it's Gair and Veetoff as Marth! (The rest of the days might not be this detailed, I just had more time to draw today)

After Gair's mark is bitten by Paul, his judgements are clouded and he spirals out of control, teaming up with Veetoff and changing history.

This happens towards the end of the Hide & Seek Eventure and into the Cure Eventure. I was listening to Ryoshi - Last Yeager while drawing this. And this was the last drawing of 2021!

[October 30th]

Micho is an introverted farmer who lives alone with his animals in the Inferno Colony. He is usually generous towards travelers, but he doesn't like to involve himself in their affairs for long. Lucky for him, the Rama 1/2 Hotel is right down the street, so he will often redirect them there, instead of having to deal with lost folks directly. Farmer Micho sews up Veetoff when he loses his arm, because of Gojo's desperation and cry for help. Normally he doesn't involve himself this much, but his conscience told him to do so.

[November 8th]

Leopold is Gregorn's right-hand man, who is commonly known as Leopold the Brawler because of his immense strength. He is one of the strongest fighters on Time Fabric Island, and proves to be a difficult opponent to Veetoff. He has the ability to shrink down his muscles in Quick Strike Mode, while it reduces his power and greatly increases his speed.

[May 16th]

Marble is one of the leaders of the Tano tribe who is very laid-back. Though she is part of the military, she often isn't taken seriously, especially in comparison to her brother Garlint and her husband Centrino. Both of them are very controlling, so she is used to being an assistant and following their orders. Unfortunately this mindset is passed down to her son Hericots, who follows his cousin Veetoff's every order.
