It’s only seven am, but Lia’s focus has already been stolen.
Clutching a cup of hot coffee and dressed in nothing but Jungkook’s t-shirt, she leans against the kitchen doorway of his new apartment, pensively surveying the last remaining boxes that need to be unpacked. They aren’t too big; all the major work was done yesterday, including unwrapping, decorating and cleaning up. The three cartons left in the corner of the living room, one of them marked Fragile, can’t take too much time or effort.
But Lia can’t handle things left unfinished.
Draining her cup, she places it on the kitchen mantle and retrieves a pair of scissors, getting to work. The first box is living room utilities; a key holder, fridge magnets, a few chargers. She moves them all to their correct locations, trying to make as little noise as possible so as to not wake Jungkook.
A lot of the heavy lifting yesterday had been done by him; even though he’d seemed to enjoy it, he’d been exhausted by the end of the night. As determined as he’d still been, by the end Lia could tell his energy was declining, especially as his hints to get her to move in with him began becoming less and less subtle.
She’s rummaging through the second box, filled mostly with other knick knacks, when Jungkook emerges from the bedroom, squinting sleepily and pulling on a t-shirt.
“You don’t have to do that,” he says, voice thick with sleep. He clears his throat.
“It’s no problem,” she replies absently, glancing up at him. “There’s coffee in the machine.”
The sound of his feet padding into the kitchen fades away slightly as she continues unpacking. The second box has only the dregs of a bachelor’s past in it, including a remote that seems to belong to nothing and a half-empty box of condoms. Deciding to let Jungkook deal with it, she reaches for the last box just as he joins her on the floor.
“Okay, I don’t know where to place these,” she tells him, gesturing to the carefully bubble-wrapped photo frames. “I mean, I can try, but -” She scans the entertainment unit around the television, noting space for at least eight or ten frames. “This seems like something you should decide.”
“You can, too,” he offers, picking out a frame and unwrapping it. “Half the pictures are of you,” he points out, flashing her a toothy grin.
“They’re with me, not of me,” she corrects him, even as she takes the frame from him and admires the picture. It’s of them seated on the edge of a go-kart, in racing overalls and with breathless grins. “This was a fun day.”
“Yeah. The cars were faster than I expected.” Jungkook is quiet for a moment before placing the picture down and tilting his head towards the box. “How many are there in total? I’m not even sure all of them will fit.”
“Sure they will.” Lia drags the box closer and they begin unwrapping the pictures one by one, the memories making them chuckle occasionally. Despite the fact that a large number of them don’t include her, it’s strangely endearing to view glimpses of Jungkook’s youth, his friends and his success.
“This one should go right in the middle,” he decides, holding up a framed picture of the day he’d taken Lia home to meet his parents for the first time. Jungkook had dragged her to the centre of the group, his parents on either side of them, and his brother behind them right after he’d set the timer on the camera.
“It’s cute,” she agrees, “but shouldn’t you put this one up there, too?” she asks, holding up a picture of him with his group members. “Wasn’t this your first award?”
“Oh, yeah…”
“There’s probably space for both.”
“What about this one, though? This was in Wembley…”
They continue debating between what must be at least fifteen frames, eventually standing up to start arranging them on the shelf.
“Wait, you want to do them all now?” he asks a bit incredulously, eyes wide.
“It’s not that many, Kook,” she tells him, patting his shoulder encouragingly. “We’ve unpacked everything else - do you really want just one box to lie around in the living room?”
“I don’t mind.”
“Really.”
“Let me say that differently: I don’t mind.”
Lia struggles to suppress a smile at his cheeky response and picks up another handful of frames from the box, moving to the shelf. “You got me. I don’t like loose ends. Now can we do this? Come on, you’ve always said you wanted one of these in your living room,” she reminds him. “You finally have it.”
Jungkook sighs dramatically but joins her, for she’s not wrong, and picks up a picture of himself and Namjoon at the United Nations. “Okay, let’s see…” Filled with concentration, he scours the shelf and finally picks a spot near the top. “There,” he says, carefully placing it at an angle and turning around with a flourish. “Okay, what’s next?”
She chuckles and hands him a picture of BTS on stage, and they get back to work. Eight more carefully arranged pictures later, both of them stand back to admire their handiwork.
Lia nudges his side gently. “It looks good, don’t you think?”
“It does… but I’d imagined a lot more pictures, to be honest.” He looks down at her inquiringly. “We have more, right?”
“At least ten,” she assures him. “Any particular events you want to put up? People or birthdays or anything…?” She rummages through the box and retrieves a few more frames, moving to arrange them on the sofa so they can both look at them.
“This one for sure,” says Jungkook after a moment, pointing at a picture of himself and a couple of his band members. “It was after Coachella - such a fun night. This one, with you in Incheon,” he adds, like it’s obvious. “This one, backstage.”
“Was it a special concert?”
“No, but I think I look good in it,” he admits sheepishly. “Or is that too conceited? You know what, forget I said -”
“I agree, completely,” she interrupts him seriously, swiping the picture up from under his nose and placing it next to a frame of Jungkook with Seokjin. She pauses at the sight of her boyfriend in the first one, looking dapper in a suit at the engagement party she’d attended as his date. In the second, Jungkook’s hair is thick and lush, falling onto his forehead with ease, his face shiny and alight with post-concert adrenaline. “Looks good, no?”
Jungkook grins. “If you insist. What about those?”
Lia takes stock of the remaining. “This one is nice… oh, this one is, too - but it might become repetitive… why do you have so many pictures with Namjoon? Okay, wait - this one, for sure. Oh - and this group picture.” She hands half of them to Jungkook and starts arranging the rest.
“Perfect.”
At his proclamation, both of them step back again to survey their progress. “Looks great, babe. We can get rid of the box and finally clear -” She breaks off when she sees a few frames still in the box. “Wait, what about these?”
“No more space.”
Lia frowns. “Huh,” she utters softly, tucking her hair behind her ears and reaching for the pictures. One is of Jungkook and Bang PD, but there’s already another one of them on the shelf, so she lets it go. The second is a slightly unfocused one of him at dinner with a few friends, while the third is the group picture she’d handed to him a couple of minutes ago.
She holds it up to show him. “You’re not putting this up?”
“What?” He glances at the picture and shakes his head. “No… it’s really crowded and you can’t see anyone in it. Besides, it’s not even a special event,” he adds.
She looks back down at it. It’s clearly taken at someone’s house - and at a party, judging by the attire. There are definitely a lot of people, but crowded might be a bit of an overstatement. There are about ten or twelve people at most, some sitting on a sofa and the rest standing behind it, almost everyone clutching glasses with varying levels of drink and smiling into the camera.
Even through the motionless image, the air of mild intoxication and friendship and fun is palpable. Almost all the members of BTS are in the picture, but the rest are a mixture of unfamiliar boys and girls, most of whom Lia doesn’t think she’s ever met. Jungkook is towards the side of the sofa, looking younger than she’s ever known him, with his friend Mingyu on one side and a girl on the other, perched on the arm of the couch.
Lia’s gaze lingers on Jungkook; this picture is pre-military, clearly, before the group went on hiatus to enlist. His eyes are shining, his hair thick and long, the lip ring glinting in the dim light. She spots various members of BTS; Jimin’s infectious smile, Namjoon’s dimple, Taehyung’s arrogantly handsome expression. All the other pictures with the group members on the shelf are at events - tours, shoots, engagements, the White House. This one is the most candid - the only candid one.
She bites her lip; she knows reuniting for a comeback wasn’t the cakewalk Jungkook tried to pass it off as. From the snippets she’s picked up from him and the way her marketing team at Hybe has been working on it since before she and Jungkook even met, it’s been clear that the members have been approaching it with different states of mind - and it’s no surprise that Jungkook might be struggling with it the most.
She watches him saunter into the kitchen and duck behind the fridge door. She’d never wanted to push him, especially about a part of his life she didn’t really know, but maybe that wasn’t the right way to go about it.
“Maybe we can fit it next to the one of you and Namjoon at the UN,” she suggests. “There’s space there. Or we can replace the one of you and your boxing instructor?”
“I like that one,” replies Jungkook without looking up, now busy assembling breakfast. “Do you want ham?”
“Sure, thanks,” she says absently. Glancing down at the picture again, she shakes her head slightly. It looks like a still from a movie. “It’s a really nice picture, Kook.”
“They’re all nice pictures, but something or the other would get cut,” he says reasonably. “These three are the least nice ones, I guess.”
“It was nice enough to get framed,” she points out. She knows she’s being persistent but it’s most unlike Jungkook to deliberately exclude a picture with his friends, especially the members of BTS. “Even the colour palette would look great with the rest. I think you should consider it.”
Jungkook sucks a bit of sauce off the tip of his finger. “It’s my shelf,” he says simply.
There’s a line, a line beyond which she’s sure her sweet and patient boyfriend can snap. Lia doesn’t think she’s there yet but a part of her is curious to see how far she can take this - and how concerning the situation is.
“Jungkook,” she begins, her tone gentler than before, “is something wrong? Because I thought everything was starting to go back to normal.”
He pauses before sighing softly. “You’re right,” he says finally, looking up but not quite meeting her eyes. “Everything’s okay now. You should put up that picture.” He gives her a small smile and goes back to the sandwiches.
Lia obliges, but something continues nagging at her. Jungkook is an open book, but this topic feels so out of reach to her that she can’t even begin to know where to start. As their comeback rehearsals and studio sessions have increased in frequency, he’s started to reach home later and later, looking more relieved and happy each time. She wonders if it’s still not enough for him, if something has changed so irreversibly that things aren’t bad - they’re just different.
But there are other things to do today.
“This might be the coolest thing we’ve done together,” says Jungkook excitedly. He slows the car, searching for a parking spot. When Lia doesn’t answer, he frowns. “You don’t agree?”
She winces. “I don’t think it’s the coolest.”
“Can you name a cooler thing we’ve done?”
“I can name, like, twenty.”
Jungkook huffs. “Do you really not want to do this?” he whines, his shoulders slumping.
“Of course, I do,” she answers immediately, squeezing his arm, her fingers pale against his dark tattoo sleeve. “I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t.”
“Are you sure? Because it’s really not a big deal, we don’t have to -”
“I know that, Kook,” she interrupts him patiently. “I want to, I promise. I mean, it was kind of my idea,” she adds.
“What?” He glances at her incredulously. “I suggested couple tattoos, like, one month after we started dating.”
“Yeah, that probably wasn’t the best strategy,” she mutters wryly. “But, I meant, the design of the tattoos was my idea.”
“That’s true,” he allows. “And it’s a nice design. Very…” He breathes in dramatically. “Very us. Our core. A lot of history there,” he points out, grinning.
“And the least cheesy design I could think of.” She pinches his cheek as he slides into a parking spot, unable to resist. “Also one where if we break up, mine won’t look strange.”
“Wow, way to ruin it, Lee-lee,” he mutters, scowling as he switches off the car. “That’s it - we’re switching. I’m getting the basketball, you’re getting the basket.”
“What? Absolutely not,” argues Lia as she climbs out of the car. “I’m the one who came up with it; I’m getting the ball.”
“No, now I don’t want the basket. Why can’t you get it?”
“Because it’ll make no sense, an empty basket,” she points out, walking alongside him. “You have enough tattoos that it won’t stand out. Oh, and also - I actually play basketball?”
“That doesn’t sound fair.”
“That’s tough, Jeon,” she says shortly, patting him on the shoulder as they climb the stairs to the entrance of the tattoo parlour. “But we’ve already got the sketch and placement and everything done, and we’re sticking to the plan.”
“God, you’re bossy.”
“And you’re bratty,” she retorts, squeezing his shoulders and kissing his left one. “But I love you anyway.”
“Yeah?” Jungkook grins as they enter the reception, trailing slightly behind her. The low hum of the air conditioner takes over from the traffic outside as he follows Lia to the desk, keeping barely an inch of distance between their bodies and leaning over her shoulder. “You mean that?”
“Sure.”
“God, I love it when you talk dirty to me,” he mutters, pulling out his wallet for his ID and placing it next to hers, flashing a smile at the receptionist. “Fine, I’ll get the basket.”
He pinches her waist gently and she gasps in surprise, swatting his hand away. “Good. Because we’ve pushed this appointment enough times and I just want it to be done. I hate that it’s just unfinished and incomplete and just hanging there, waiting for us to get on with it.”
“Huh.” Jungkook is quiet for a moment. “What if the artist isn’t available today?”
“Then I will physically pick up the tattoo gun and draw the tattoos on us.”
“You’d really draw a tattoo on me? You? I mean, I love you,” he quickly backtracks, “but… you?”
“Exactly,” she says as they walk inside together. “So you better hope he’s in today or you’re going to end up having my artwork on your skin forever.”
“Point taken.”
Fortunately for them, not only is the artist available, but he’s prepped and ready to go. Two reclining chairs have been placed next to each other, the tattoo guns are plugged in and kept on the table, sterilised needles still in the packets, and a tray with small bottles of water.
“Ah, my favourite customer is here,” he greets, his lined face lighting up when he sees Jungkook. “And my second favourite customer by association,” he says to Lia, chortling at his own joke as they bow slightly to each other.
“Thank you for making the time,” she says, while Jungkook genially hugs him.
“Of course, of course. Ah, this is Eunbi,” he remembers, turning slightly and gesturing to a young woman who steps out of the staff room, “my apprentice.”
Eunbi gives them a small smile, smoothing her short blond hair self-consciously. The roots have begun to darken but it gives her a nice, rustic look.
They get settled after that, Lia and Jungkook on one chair each, while Eunbi and her boss take their seats on revolving stools, sketch pens in hand and tattoo guns on standby.
“It’s a really cute idea,” says Eunbi, carefully drawing the basketball on the inside of Lia’s wrist. “Jungkook oppa, you’re getting the basket?”
“That’s right.” He takes Lia’s free right hand from beside him and squeezes it. “I’m taking one for the team,” he says dramatically.
She rolls her eyes but squeezes his hand back anyway. “You’re the one who wanted couple tattoos. If anything, I’m taking one for the team.”
“Same difference.”
“Why basketball?” The tattoo artist, who Lia realises has yet to mention his name, peers at them from above his dark glasses. “Is it some new meme I’m not aware of?”
“Oh, no, it’s not a meme,” says Jungkook quickly. “We met while playing basketball.”
Eunbi looks up. “Really?”
“Playing is a bit of an overstatement,” says Lia.
“I didn’t know you played basketball,” says the tattoo artist skeptically to Jungkook. “Are you any good?”
“I’m getting better,” he mumbles, while Lia snorts.
“It’s true, he is,” she adds, grinning at Jungkook’s increasingly annoyed expression. “The first time was… not great. But he’s been practising since then.”
“Good on you, kid. You know, I used to play basketball in high school.”
“Really?” Jungkook turns to him excitedly. “Which position? Do you follow the NBA? I’ve started recently…”
Lia bites her lip as she watches him prattle on about his favourite team, about the last match he’d watched. It was one of the most endearing things he’d done: diving into her favourite sport with interest, learning the rules, watching the matches and following the players on social media.
She squeezes his hand absently, also glad that his strange mood from earlier seems to have disappeared. He’s cheery as ever, all the way from flirting his way into her shower, to proclaiming how he was willing to get the basket tattooed to prove how, much like the basketball filled the basket, she filled him with happiness.
Then she’d groaned and cringed while he’d laughed his arse off, turning the volume up in the car and singing along angelically to whatever song was playing.
“Lia.” Jungkook tugs at her hand. “You want to take this one?”
“Huh?” She turns apologetically to Eunbi. “Sorry, what was the question?”
“Oh, I - I asked how you two met.”
“Oh.” Lia glances at Jungkook, pursing her lips in amusement. “I think you should probably take this, no?”
He shakes his head and mock-glares at her. “Uh, okay. Well, long story short: we went on a date, I was a bit of a douche, but she decided to give me a second chance anyway.” Despite the humour of the situation, the relief in his voice is audible.
Heart warm, she nods. “He worked pretty damn hard for it.”
Jungkook nods. “Basketballs to the face notwithstanding.”
“Aw, that’s cute. And so are the tattoos,” adds Eunbi. “I wish my boyfriend would agree to one - but he’s terrified of needles.”
“I was terrified of basketballs for a good week there,” notes Jungkook. “But you’ve got to face your fears to overcome them,” he says wisely.
“You’re right. I wish he’d been a douche on our first date,” she jokes, “then I could’ve asked him to get a tattoo for me.”
“He’d have to be a really big douche for that,” says the tattoo artist, before lightly smacking Jungkook on the shoulder and ignoring his gasp. “And why were you a douche, huh?”
“I wasn’t - I didn’t -“
“His friend set him up and he was in a bad mood,” supplies Lia, reaching over and pinching her boyfriend’s cheek as he scowls.
“A really bad mood,” he clarifies. “Because he kept texting during dinner and asking for updates - I could’ve hit him, I swear.”
The tattoo artist responds reproachfully to Jungkook, but Lia barely hears it, for it brings back another memory she doesn’t dwell on too often.
She likes video games.
It’s the only aspect of their history she would rather ignore. Everything else - his apology, his attempts at getting to know her better, riding home on his motorbike in the rain, basketball with Dal - makes her reminisce with fondness, more often than not leading to an increased amount of affection for her boyfriend for the rest of the day. This one part of it, though? Not ideal.
She feels Jungkook clutch her hand tighter then, and she realises his tattoo has begun, the hum of the gun cutting through her thoughts. She squeezes his hand back automatically, endeared and exasperated at his wincing despite hundreds of tattoos, and pushes the unwanted detail of their history aside.
“I love it,” he says later, once they’re almost back at his house. He peels off the plastic from his shoulder a little bit before hissing.
“Don’t take it off yet, come on,” she tells him, pressing it back into place and stroking the reddened area. “It’s still fresh. And it does look great,” she acknowledges, lightly tracing the basket that’s wedged peacefully between two bigger tattoos on his tricep. “Do you think the fans will notice a new tattoo?”
“Doubt it. Or maybe they will,” he says after a moment. “You never know. They won’t be able to tell it’s about you, though,” he assures her.
“I’m sure,” she agrees, observing her own basketball tattoo. It hurt more than she expected but somehow, having Jungkook there doing the same thing helped. She won’t admit it to him without some eye-rolling, but she finds herself happy with their decision to get the tattoos after all.
“Do you want to get lunch?” Jungkook asks, unlocking the door and gently steering her in first.
“I’m good with ramen, honestly,” she says, taking off her shoes and padding through the living room. “Could you get a couple packets from the pantry? I’ll put the water on.”
Jungkook nods and disappears, softly humming a tune. Lia glances at the entertainment unit, his Playstation and neatly stacked DVDs, mildly satisfied that after an entire weekend’s worth of work, his apartment is properly set up.
Her gaze falls on the pictures, scanning Jungkook’s handsome face in each, before landing on the same group picture they’d argued about this morning.
And something falls into place.
“Got it!” When Jungkook returns a few minutes later, arms laden with no less than four packets of ramen, it’s to see Lia standing in the middle of the carpet, one of the photo frames in her hands. Even from here, he can tell exactly which picture it is.
She doesn’t look up at his entrance, and he takes the opportunity to dump the ramen on the kitchen island and slowly approach her.
“What are you doing?” he asks.
“It’s her, isn’t it?” Lia seems to tear her eyes from the picture to meet his eyes. To his relief, she doesn’t look angry or hurt. She simply looks curious - and confused. “This is - this is her.”
Jungkook bites his lip. “What are you talking about?”
She turns the picture towards him. “The girl you had a crush on. Back then.” She deliberately doesn’t elaborate and for that he is thankful. “This is her,” she says, pointing and tapping her finger on the glass.
It’s barely a question. After a moment, he nods. “Yeah, it is.”
She raises her eyebrows in surprise, as though she wasn’t expecting him to admit it so quickly. “And this is clearly the boyfriend,” she mutters as she gazes at the frozen faces, seemingly to herself, not being able to tell how his heart jerks. She looks up at his again, frowning. “Is that why you didn’t want to put this picture up? Because she’s in it, too?”
Jungkook sighs, his shoulders slumping. His gaze briefly falls on the picture, on her face, and he immediately looks away. “It didn’t feel right,” he confesses. “It felt like I would be… I don’t know. Disrespecting you.” He shakes his head and looks at the floor. “Especially if… someday, you decide to…” Here, he trails off, unable to find the nerve to finish his sentence.
“But… why?” Lia still just sounds confused. “She was just a friend, right? And you said it was over.”
“She was. And it is.” He shrugs, ignoring the old, dull pang in his chest. “I haven’t seen or spoken to her in years.”
“Did you think I would be mad?”
“I don’t know,” he mumbles, now wishing he’d just agreed to put the picture up when she’d handed it to him in the morning. This isn’t a topic he ever wanted to surface, and not with her. “When I first told you, you seemed… kind of mad. And then a bit sad.” He shakes his head. “You’re the most important thing to me now. I don’t want to ruin it.”
After a moment, he hears her sigh. He knows this sigh; it’s the same one he’d heard when he’d confessed to her that he didn’t know a lick of basketball, when his meticulously-planned drive-in movie date had gone to shit, when he’d inadvertently revealed that he was afraid she’d think he was too young for her.
“Kook…” She comes up to him, placing the frame on the coffee table on the way. Gently holding his hand, she tilts her head to meet his eyes. “I can’t be mad at you for something that happened before we met. Everyone has a past.”
“Yeah, but I’ve told you about this particular past before,” he reminds her, feeling wretched. “And it didn’t go very well.”
“Well… yeah. It didn’t come up in the best way, I guess,” she murmurs, and he knows she’s remembering their conversation in the Hybe copy room. “But now that we’ve moved past that… I can’t hold you to a crush you had years ago. Especially when it seems like you were friends,” she adds quietly.
Jungkook’s chest starts to feel heavy again. “You just… you sounded kind of mad. I think. Maybe I was imagining it,” he mutters, shrugging tiredly.
“I wasn’t mad… I guess I was a little thrown,” she admits. “I mean, I know you said she had a boyfriend. I just didn’t think it was one of the other members.”
He says nothing. He appreciates her understanding, although he should’ve always expected her to rise above petty jealousy or insecurity. It occurs to him for the hundredth time how lucky he is to have her; how, in the midst of a truly despondent time in his life, she’d been the beacon of light he’d been fortunate enough to stumble upon. He hadn’t looked back since.
But the moment his gaze lands on the picture discarded behind her, his heart creeps up his throat again.
“Is that what it is?” Her voice brings him back. “Do you feel guilty because she was dating your friend?”
For starters. There’s no point, he realises. As mature and understanding as Lia is, Jungkook doesn’t think he can find the words or the courage to relive his regrets, the ones that still catch him unawares when he hears her name in passing, or when he goes to rehearsal and inadvertently locks eyes with his hyung.
“Kind of.”
Lia nods slowly. “It’s okay, Jungkook,” she murmurs, tugging at his hand again. “No one can control how they feel.”
Jungkook can’t bring himself to respond to that. He makes a non-committal sound, his gaze flickering to the ground.
“You told me you were over her.”
“And I meant it.”
She squeezes his hand. “Good.”
He wills the heaviness in his chest to go away, and forces a small smile onto his face. “Sorry.”
She returns it, holding his gaze before reaching up and pressing a quick kiss to his mouth. “We don’t have to put it up,” she reminds him.
But Jungkook shakes his head. “No, you’re right. It is a nice picture,” he allows, picking it up. “And it was a long time ago.”
Apparently satisfied, Lia smiles back radiantly. “And you look very hot in it.”
“If only you’d known me then.”
“You would’ve learnt to play basketball a lot sooner,” she agrees, chuckling.
“So you forgive me?” he asks after a moment.
Lia’s smile fades slightly. “For having a crush?” she asks, reaching up and touches his forehead with hers. “You have nothing to be sorry about. Not even to your friend,” she adds. “I mean, nothing happened, right?”
She’s beautiful. A beacon of light in a period of darkness he couldn’t see beyond. She saved him, more than she would know.
Jungkook brushes a lock of hair off her forehead. “No,” he lies.
After lunch, Jungkook volunteers to clean up the living room and kitchen while Lia goes to do the laundry. Collecting their clothes from his bedroom, she chucks them in the washing machine, loading it with detergent and softener and turning it on.
She stops by the pantry on her way back, looking for a chocolate bar or any other candy, something to officially clear the air with Jungkook. She searches along the shelves, passing by ramen, boxes of Caffetta coffee, and a lot of protein powder - only to come to the conclusion that his house is hopelessly understocked with sugar.
“We can get low fat,” she murmurs to herself, preempting his response as she makes her way back to the living room. She stops abruptly at the doorway when she spots him, his back tilted towards her, framed picture in hand.
Lia’s heartbeat feels louder for a moment. She takes a quick step back behind the doorway; it’s unnecessary, though, for his focus is on something else entirely.
She ought to have seen it before. It wasn’t until they returned to Jungkook’s apartment that she even noticed the most important detail in the picture. Mingyu sat to Jungkook’s right while a girl sat to his left, perched on the arm of the sofa. One hand hung loosely around Jungkook’s shoulder, so casually, so harmlessly, that Lia hadn’t even registered it this morning.
On her other side was her boyfriend, clearly. The way she leaned into him, the way his arm rested confidently on her waist, his fingers brushing the bare skin between her light blue jeans and striped crop top, the way their bodies fit perfectly - it looked like they’d known each other forever. There was no doubt as to who he was, especially since he was someone Lia had definitely met.
In light of how intensely close the couple looked, the girl’s hand around Jungkook’s shoulder seemed unimportant. It was almost like a habit, or convenience, her dark nail paint and the small cigarette stub between her fingers looking like they belonged there.
It’s her, isn’t it? There was no one else in the picture it could be, not any of the other handful of girls in the same frame. It’s her; the one who likes video games, the one with a boyfriend - the boyfriend who Lia now knows is one of Jungkook’s best friends, a big brother he loves.
She bites her lip, continuing to watch him until his shoulders relax slightly and he places the photograph back on the shelf. He gathers the empty bowls on the centre table and heads towards the kitchen, and Lia feels the seed of uneasiness sink in her stomach.
She can believe he’s over her. She can believe it’s in the past, that Jungkook is with her in the present.
Whatever it is, though - it’s definitely not finished.
Thank you for reading. Don't forget to leave a review :)

“That's enough. Go to your room.” Sam demanded angrily, looking down at the cheerios covering the kitchen floor that he now would have to clean up.
“Papa-”
“All you do is cause trouble and I'm done! To your room, now!”
She's been bad again. It was the third time this week. She has been disobedient and impatient. Whenever Papa and Daddy told her to do anything she somehow managed to mess it up. Sam had told her not to touch anything but she wanted to help nevertheless. She couldn’t reach the cupboard though and ended up spilling the box of cereal all over the place.
Her gaze dropped and she walked to her room without another word and a few minutes later, Bucky came to give her lunch and collect her phone and tablet, taking away her screen time for the day.
“But daddy-”
“No, doll. I'm taking them away. You never listen anymore and it needs to stop.”
Papa and Daddy are mad at you. They don't love you no more. They're sick of you. You never listen and you're always bad. They could be so much happier and calmer if it wasn't for you always riling them up. They were done. It needed to stop. They don't love you no more. They don't want you no more. They don't love you. They don't want you.
She sat wallowing in her room, tears gathering in her eyes as her own mind attacked her. Maybe it was all true. All she does is cause trouble.
So maybe if she left…
She got up and got her big girl backpack out of the closet.
Maybe if she left Papa and Daddy would be better off without her.
Tears streamed down her cheeks as she gathered and pushed items into her bag.
Maybe if she was gone they would be less angry.
She zipped the bag up before sloppily slipping her socks on and picking up her stuffed friend.
Maybe if she escaped the house she could escape her thoughts too; leave them all in her room and go.
She wiped her cheeks, tiptoed out of her room, found her shoes by the front door and quietly got into them. She could hear Daddy and Papa lowly laughing together while they got things done in the backyard. Leaving really was the right decision then; they were happier without her.
Taking one, last, tear-blurred look at the house, she stepped outside and quietly closed the door behind her. She held her small white bunny to her chest and sniffed before taking off, walking to the only place that would bring her comfort.
~
“She's going to be so happy. I can't wait to see her face.” Sam smiled proudly, hands on his waist as he took one last look at the swing he and Bucky have put together for their baby girl in the backyard.
“I really hope she likes it.” Bucky smiled back in agreement before opening the door for Sam and walking inside behind him.
They felt they were too hard on her that morning and she was usually a good girl, only intending to do good for her Daddy and Papa. So they decided to build the swing earlier than they’d previously planned to lighten things up again.
“Is it just me or is it awfully quiet in here?” Bucky murmured, bringing the water bottle down from his mouth and looking around the living room in slight suspicion.
“I mean, she is in a timeout and you did take away her phone,” Sam reminded him, trying not to let himself panic as he got himself a water bottle from the fridge.
But it wasn’t that. Bucky could still hear her presence no matter how quiet. He could hear her crayons gliding on paper when she would sit down to color. He could hear her hum as she organized her toys around the table for tea parties. This quietness wasn’t normal.
Bucky jogged up the stairs to her room and just as he feared, she wasn't in there. Her sandwich was untouched. Her closet was open and her backpack and favourite blankie were missing.
“Sam!” He called for his husband, taking long strides to their bedroom to find she wasn't there either.
Sam ran up the stairs at Bucky's freaked tone and saw him pacing through the hallway.
“She's not here.”
“What?” Sam’s heart sank into his stomach.
“I can't find her.” Bucky shook his head at Sam, running his fingers through his hair in growing panic.
“Hey, calm down. We're gonna find her.” Sam rubbed a hand down Bucky's back, trying to hide his own fright for Bucky's sake as his mind ran to every single place she knew how to get to on her own.
“How? How are we gonna find her? We don't even know where she went or if she's okay-”
Sam put a hand on Bucky’s shoulder, the other cupping his cheek.
“Hey, breathe,” Sam instructed, slowly breathing so Bucky could copy him, trying to send away the panic attack ready to take over him. Bucky nuzzled his palm, his breath coming out shaky.
“That's it, Buck. In and out.” He moved his hands to Bucky’s.
“But she was so little when we sent her to her room and she probably doesn't even have any ID or money with her-”
“Bucky,” Sam squeezed his husband’s hands.
“We can't lose her, Sam. I can't- I took her phone away- if she's in trouble, she won't be able to-”
“Bucky, baby, we're gonna find her and she's gonna be okay. I promise.” Sam reassured him with words he himself wasn't sure would turn out to be true, his large palm stroking up and down the tense muscles of Bucky’s back, “I need you to keep breathing for me.”
Bucky tried to manage his breathing, slightly calming down to the thought of getting to hold her again.
“She couldn't have gotten that far, so we're gonna look around and I'm gonna call Steve, okay?” Bucky nodded at Sam's words, glossy eyes closing as Sam planted a kiss to the side of his forehead, “okay, baby. Let's go.”
~
Sam took the car, driving slowly, roaming the neighborhood to see if she was anywhere around the area. He was asking anyone and everyone who passed by his car if they've seen her. But apparently, no one has. Not even the old couple at the end of the street with the dog she loved to pet so much.
Bucky chose to go on foot as he walked in the other direction, preferring to depend on his enhanced senses instead of talking to other people. Even if he did talk to them for help, no one would understand that while her picture looked like that of a grown lady, she was a mere baby. They would never understand their panic.
Sam rubbed his forehead in frustration, leaning it against the wheel. He’d just hung up with Steve. He said she didn't come to his place; didn't even stop by. In fact, he hasn’t heard from her at all and got worried when Sam called. He took an uneven breath, trying to maintain his cool before he lifted his head up and started the car again.
~
Leaning back on the big tree, she wrapped her soft blankie tighter around her frame. It was getting kind of chilly and she was starting to regret leaving now that it wasn't that sunny anymore. The tears drying on her cheeks made her shiver even more and she sniffled, kissing her bunny's head and tugging the stuffed animal under her chin. She hoped Daddy and Papa were feeling better now that she was no longer there with them.
“Doll?” She heard Bucky's voice and before she could wonder if she'd imagined it, she was pressed to a hard chest.
“Oh, thank god,” Bucky sighed, kissing the side of her head over and over again, his hands tight around her back, holding her and her bunny close to his frantically beating heart.
“Baby, why'd you leave like that? We were so worried! We looked everywhere, we called everyone.” Bucky kissed her forehead a bunch before “-oh right!”
He got his phone out of his pocket with one arm, the other still firmly holding her to his chest. She kept holding onto her bunny, not really getting what was happening. Was she in trouble for leaving unannounced or not? Why would Daddy and Papa want to find her? She was nothing but trouble.
“Sam, I found her! We're in our secret place in the park.”
At Bucky's call, Sam took a sharp turn, stepping on the gas to get to the park as fast as he could.
“Are you okay, doll? Are you hurt anywhere?” Bucky asked her after hanging up, anxiously checking her head, face, arms and legs for injuries.
She shook her head silently, fresh, hot tears burning at the brims of her eyes.
“Thank god.” Bucky hugged her to his chest again, “we were so scared, doll. We were so scared.”
He kissed her damp cheeks and chin as she kept biting her lip, quietly sniveling.
She'd scared them. She'd worried them. Why was it always that she did something wrong while trying to do anything right? She was no good.
“It’s okay, love. I found you. I’m right here.” Bucky kissed her eyelids, then her nose, thinking she was crying because she was lost alone.
He pulled her on his lap and adjusted himself in her place, his back to the tree trunk as he held her close, fearing she’d disappear if he were to loosen his grip around her.
“Sugar!” Sam’s voice echoed through the empty part of the park when he saw her burrito-wrapped body in Bucky’s lap.
“Papa’s here, doll. It’s okay.” Bucky whispered to her when she didn’t stop crying.
She turned around and her eyes met Sam’s watery, brown ones.
“Hey, sugar,” Sam greeted softly, getting down on his knees before her.
Her lower lip jutted out further as new tears soaked her pretty face. It hasn’t even been a whole day and she’s missed Papa and Daddy so much. How was she ever planning on running away from them or being without them?
“Aww, no, no, baby, it’s okay,” Sam cooed, bringing her to his chest and engulfing her in a protective hug.
Her blanket fell in Bucky’s lap and she dropped her bunny to cling to Sam, barely quieting her sobs.
Not able to hold himself together any longer, a tear escaped Sam’s eye his gaze met Bucky’s. He buried his nose in her hair and squeezed her closer to him, sighing in relief that they’ve found her. His mind kept torturing him with scenarios of her getting hurt and not getting help. He didn’t know what he would’ve done if they’d actually lost her.
“You’re okay, sugar. Papa’s here with you. I’m sorry it took us so long, baby. We were looking in a lot of places.” Sam sniffled, pulling back to pepper featherlike kisses all over her face.
“You wanted to find me?” Her small, brittle voice asked, doe eyes staring up sadly.
“What? Of course we wanted to find you, baby! Why would you think otherwise?!”
“But I was bad. You w-were done. It needed to stop,” she repeated his and Bucky’s words on him and Sam felt shame cover him from head to toe, Bucky not any different as he bit down to stop his tears.
“Doll,” Bucky went to hold her hands only to find they were freezing.
“Shit! She’s too cold,” he told Sam, who immediately started taking off his jacket.
“Dada, bad word,” she softly reminded Bucky, covering her mouth with her hand before Sam got out of his jacket.
Sam slipped his warm jacket on her and pulled the zipper up, her small hands disappearing inside the long sleeves.
“Good girl, sugar. It is a bad word.” He rolled the sleeves back just enough to get her palms out so she could still hold her bunny.
“But you don’t see me asking daddy to leave because he was bad, do you?” Sam asked tenderly and she shook her head no.
“Exactly, I’m not. You know why?” Sam pressed kisses to both of her hands multiple times, rubbing them between his palms to warm her up.
“Why, papa?” she asked as he carried her in his arms; Bucky gathering the rest of her stuff.
“Because I love him so much." Sam wiped her tears. "And both me and daddy love you so so so much, sugar.” He pressed a firm kiss to her temple.
Bucky handed her the small bunny back after patting any dust or leaves out of it.
“We never want you to go, doll.” Bucky pressed a kiss to her shoulder.
“Even when I’m really really bad?”
“Even if you’re really really bad,” Sam guaranteed, kissing her temple again.
“But- I thought papa and daddy would be happier and not so angry no more if I left,” she mumbled innocently as Sam started walking to the car with her in his arms.
“That could never be true, doll. We’re only happy as long as we have you,” Bucky reassured her, opening the backseat door so Papa could slip in with her on his lap.
“And you still love me?” Her pout, teary puppy eyes and words were just killing both men inside.
“Of course we love you, doll! We will always love you. We can never afford to lose you,” Bucky told her, his eyes searching hers to offer them comfort.
“Baby, we love you so much it’s uncountable, remember?” Sam ran his thumb over the knuckles of her stuffie-holding hands.
She nodded, her eyes teary but her smile comforted and reassured. “I love you too, Papa,” she mumbled, grabbing onto Sam’s thumb, her eyelids barely staying open.
“I’m sorry I left,” she sniffled.
“It’s alright, baby. We’re all together now and we're going home.” Sam kissed her forehead once more, wanting her to forget all about it and know everything was okay again.
“Told you we’d find her,” Sam said, drawing Bucky inside the car by the cheek and brushing his lips against his.
“You did.” Bucky nodded, pressing his forehead to Sam’s and kissing him again.
Bucky pulled back and smiled adoringly at her sleepy eyes fighting to stay open as she leaned onto Sam's chest before getting in the driver’s seat to take them home. Sam was caressing her hair and before she knew it her eyes were fluttering closed.
All the crying all day had drained her and her body could finally give up and relax now that she was in Papa’s hold; she was out like a light.
“You’re so important to me and daddy, sugar. Never ever forget that,” Sam whispered against her forehead before pressing a slow kiss to her skin.
She might've had no idea how adored and cherished she actually was, but that was okay. Sam and Bucky had a lifetime ahead of them where they could show her again and again that they loved and needed her just as much as she did them.
~
“Dada! Papa! Wake up! We have a swing!”
She’d fallen asleep pretty early in the car last night and neither Sam nor Bucky had the heart to wake her up when they got home. So they took her shoes and socks off and tucked her in in their bed.
Now they had to deal with her waking up way too early. She’d gone to the bathroom on her own like a good girl before her stomach hungrily grumbled. And when she got to the kitchen for a cup of water and maybe the plate of fruit in the fridge, her eyes fell on the swing showing outside the small window on the kitchen door.
Bucky rolled over and opened his eyes first, her jumping on her knees on the bed beside him pulling him out of his dreams. Sam, however, didn’t move a muscle. The man slept so soundly that sometimes Bucky was jealous. How heavy of a sleeper could a person be?
“Yes, we do, baby.” Bucky chuckled. “Me and papa built it just for you.” He smiled sleepily at her excited face before annoyingly poking Sam’s back, “Sam, wake up.”
“Tank you, dada.” She settled back on her ankles though still buzzing with joy.
“You like it, sugar?” Bucky opened his arms wide for her.
“Yes, I love it.” She nodded happily before perching herself on his hard chest, cutely kissing his jaw, “and I love you, dada.”
“Sam.” He affectionately punched his sleeping husband’s shoulder, smirking when he heard him groan, “she likes the swing.”

A/n: Self indulgent. The amount of times I accidentally posted this before I finished it are insane😭I don’t know if tumblr updated or if I’m just stupid. Sorry for the shitty dialogue I’m feeling very sick so my mind is a bit hazy, but anything is sexy in Hisoka’s voice if you just try.
Hisoka bore his teeth behind his lips at the sight in his kitchen.. the girl that was dressed in his shirt, and his boxers around her hips; one careless jump away from falling down and around her ankles. Fuck.
Hisoka stood in the doorway of the kitchen, hands on his hips as he watched the woman rummage through his refrigerator, it’s not like he had anything special in there anyway.. he rarely ever stayed in this apartment or used anything. Before Y/n came along half of the food he had stored in there would’ve gone bad due to him being away on missions and chasing after the Phantom Troupe, but now he had this little scavenger to eat it all up for him before the fruits started to rot.
The girl turned her head, it’s not like she just now noticed his presence.. she felt him standing there, ogling her from behind. Y/n smirked at him behind her shoulder, looking at him with her beady little eyes, “Take a picture it’ll last longer~” her voice was raspy from having just woken up, she took a sip of an apple juice box; ah, Hisoka remembered her putting a whole pack of that in his fridge. He didn’t know why she liked those tiny juice boxes so much. She just sucked it all up in under 30 seconds, then leave it on the ground for him to painstakingly collect and throw away. However, he did find it satisfying when she poked the straws in that little hole, sometimes she would miss, then howl in frustration. He would turn his head away from her gaze to uncontrollably smirk; it was amusing to watch sometimes.
The magician smirked and walked towards her, “Ahah~ well I have the real thing right at my fingertips~” he whispered, looking down at the woman. His golden, narrow eyes met her e/c doe eyes. “I think that’s much better than a mere picture~”
Y/n looked at him, gnawing on the tip of the straw. Her pupils darted around, scanning his face before she grinned again, “Ok.” She spun around completely, walking out of the kitchen and leaving Hisoka to his own devices. A puff of air escaped the magicians nose as he watched her walk off; he couldn’t take his eyes off of her whenever she did that, the way her hips swayed; moving back and forth as she carried on her merry way, her free arm was slightly lifted upwards. Her little walk never failed to light a fire in the magician’s loins, it didn’t help now that his boxers on her hips were riding so unbearably low to the point he had gotten a glimpse to the line of her asscrack; that sight wasn’t new to him, but seeing it other than when he was sleeping with her made his cock throb.
Hisoka turned away once she was out of view, his brows furrowed as he placed a hand firmly over his mouth. He squeezed his eyes shut in an attempt to silence the thoughts of perversion in his mind. The memories of her last night, sprawled out naked below him, his hand right under her breast that bounced with his thrusts, the burning sensation on his chest from how her nails dragged on his skin, ripping the tissue and drawing blood. The man sighed, a gravelly noise escaped his throat as his eyes opened again. What has this girl done to me.. his lips curled into a smirk, then let out a soft chuckle. His hand fell to his thigh after he slicked back his fuchsia bangs.
“Come in my house, lay in my bed, eat my food..” Hisoka grumbled as he followed after Y/n, wherever she went. His voice echoed through the halls of their shared apartment, he knew she could hear him, “I think you should be more kind to me dear~ nobody gets these privileges from me~” he entered the living room, where he found the girl sitting on his couch, looking innocent as she gnawed that straw to hell and back. All she did was smirk at him as he stepped closer to her, his hands in the pocket of his sweatpants. “One day you might just brat yourself into a slit throat, dear~” he cooed, an empty threat.
They both knew deep down, no matter what, Hisoka couldn’t bring himself to end Y/n’s life.
He quickly plucked the chewed up straw out of her mouth, holding it between his two fingers; he wasn’t disgusted by her saliva.. god if he had a dollar for how many times this woman had spat in his mouth..
“You shouldn’t eat plastic~” he flicked the straw across the room, over the girl’s head and behind the couch.
“I wasn’t eating it.” She frowned at him, letting her legs drop to the floor, her hands on her thighs as she glared up at him.
He couldn’t help but smirk, her little poses were always so cute.. always spreading her legs when she sat, hunched over to try and look intimidating, but she just made herself more adorable in his eyes.
Hisoka sat on the couch beside of Y/n, close enough so that the sides of their thighs were touching, he could practically feel the softness of her bare thigh through his sweatpants, “Mm..” he hummed softly under his breath as he smoothly hooked an arm around her shoulders, his other hand moved to her thigh, caressing it, moving up and down in a soft motion. He looked at her, seeing her eyes glued on his hand in thought; he dreamed of prying open her brain and seeing what went on inside of it.. his girl was shrouded in mystery, unpredictable and impulsive. A mirror of his own life, the embodiment of his own darkness and indulgences, his perfect little vice. Though a part of him dreaded her unreadable expression. Did she secretly hate what Hisoka was doing to her? Was she nervous? Scared? The last thing Hisoka wanted to do was hurt her, or scare her away, she was more than a toy to him even if he wanted to admit it or not; she was an ally, his lover.. he couldn’t loose her.
Being too lost in his thought, his breath hitched in surprise as Y/n suddenly shifted, moving into his lap to straddle his thigh. Her little giggle left her lips as her fingers gently danced down his sharp jawline, the girl’s eyes met his wide ones, “Love you~”
Hisoka calmed down from his moment of shock, he chuckled and put his hands on her hips, “I love you too~”
She said those words to him all of the time.. and he would reciprocate; it was always random moments when she would verbalize his love to him, if he didn’t know any better he would’ve thought she was casting a spell on him or something.. why else would this seemingly cold, unloving man find comfort in this girl’s touch? It was most likely Y/n’s skittish, yet nervous nature, she didn’t know the right words to say, or the right moment to say it; so she just spoke those words of endearment.
Y/n kept her eyes locked with Hisoka’s, she whimpered quietly as she started to move her hips in a slow motion, rubbing back and forth on his thigh. She made sure to push her crotch down as hard as she could, wanting to feel his muscles though the barrier of cloth that kept them apart. “Ah,” Hisoka whispered when he felt the pressure of Y/n coming down on him, “Easy,” he cooed at her, holding her hips and guiding her at a steady pace; and comfortable distance. Y/n’s brows furrowed upwards as she felt the fabric of Hisoka’s boxers brush against her clit, “H-Hah~” she breathed out, her hand slid down to Hisoka’s shoulder, squeezing it as she moved at his pace.
He felt the girl’s nails dig into his skin, making him grit his teeth, wincing at the pain but god damn did it feel good. His body was covered in scratches, some healed; some fresh, all from Y/n, the woman making her mark on him. It burned so good, and made the hard dent in the crotch of his sweatpants throb unbearably.
Y/n shivered in Hisoka’s grip, her eyes fluttered, blinking wildly before she screwed them shut, “Ah-! Hahh~!” Her voice cracked as she shuffled on his lap, she pressed her forehead to his shoulder and lifted her hips up, “Get off..” she muttered, a hint of frustration to her voice as she focused on pulling down the boxers that hung baggy on her. She made do with slipping one leg out of the cloth, letting the boxers squeeze around her thigh instead. She pushed her hips into his hands again, a shaky sigh left her mouth when his sweatpants made contact with her wet clit.
Hisoka watched the girl with much amusement, a smirk on his lips the entire time; amused on how she was so focused on what she wanted, seeing that little bit of frustration jump out as she wiggled his boxers off of herself. “Ngh~” Y/n lifted her head up again to reconnect their gaze. “Happy now~?” Hisoka mused, leaning his face towards hers until his lips were barely grazing under her eye. Y/n nodded as they both commenced with her thigh-grinding.
Hisoka adored that look in her eye, he reveled in the soft noises he helped milk out of her, she was undeniably his.. his vice, the little ace up his sleeve, the itch in his crotch.
Y/n’s hand moved down Hisoka’s body, feeling the rough exterior of his muscled physique, he looked nearly similar to a statue carved from stone if you’d squint, her hand trailed down until it reached that bulge. Hisoka breathed out, which made her eye twitch at the little puff of breath so close to her face, but she squeezed and pawed at his crotch nonetheless. The movement of her hips began to get faster, Hisoka helped her keep a steady rhythm as she pawed at his crotch.
Her slick began to rub off on Hisoka’s pants, creating a dark, sticky, wet smudge; but neither of them seemed to care.. Hisoka would just blame it on a spill if the laundry machine couldn’t wash it out. But Christ sake who doesn’t own a pair of sweatpants that aren’t stained? “I..” Y/n rasped out, making sure her eyes were kept locked with his, no matter how hard she wanted to blink or completely close hers, “I love you..” she whispered. Hisoka chuckled, squeezing her hips, “I love you too~” Y/n smiled, but immediately jerked up, her back arched as her mouth opened in a silent scream. Hisoka let out a quiet grunt as he pushed her hips down; she squeezed his crotch so perfectly. They came at the same time; her juices spilled on his thigh, and his seed spurted inside of his pants.. the mess they made together.
Y/n fell forward again, panting heavily and laying limp against Hisoka’s body as he held her, his hands were moved to her thighs as equally heavy breaths left his own lips. He heard her giggle, which put a smile on his face, he closed his eyes and tilted his head to rest on the back of the couch. “We’re so messy~” she teased, reaching between her legs and scooping some of her wetness with her fingers, then holding them to Hisoka’s lips. The man happily wrapped his tongue around her wet fingers, licking them clean until the only thing staining her fingers was his saliva. He groaned with delight as the sweet, salty flavor coated his tongue. “Made a mess of my damn pants..” he laughed breathily, with the rare occurrence of a profanity coming from his mouth.
“I love you, `Soka~”
“I love you too, Y/n.”

Can I request some chilly fluff? Anything really, just some cute sweet chilly fluff with a little bit of angst maybe?
of course! here's an idea that's been swimming around my brain all day lol
helping hand
ben isn't coping with his newest responsibility and his best friend comes to save the day once again
It's honestly less about the news than it is about the fact that you didn’t here it from him. Texts have gone mostly unanswered since you read that online article you first believed was false, only for it to be confirmed by him. You offered a congratulations despite the pain it brought to you to hear that you had completely lost your chance.
You had probably called him about a million times, each time ringing out and some even being hung up after merely a few rings.
At first, you worried that something had happened. Then you managed to wrangle the news out of Mason that everything was well, you let yourself have those days of utter heartbreak that he had found a girl, started to settle down and then completely cut you out of the picture. This was the first time in all of your 23 years that you hadn't been able to speak to him about things that were going on. He seemed to have completely fogotten about you and you couldn't bring yourself to think of a reason why.
She never really did like you, his girlfriend. You could only imagine it had something to do with the fact that Ben was incredibly close with you. A lot of girls had been unhappy with the fact that while dating Ben, they were subject to teasing that everyone was surprised he was dating when they had thought he was so clearly in love with you. You understand that, it would be irritating but nothing had ever happened between you and Ben that might suggest you would ever get together. People just love a rumour.
What had really hit you, however was seeing her from the Instagram you followed. She didn't even appear to be in London, never mind with him and that made no sense by the timeline you had managed to figure out.
That's how you found yourself standing at his door with what felt like a million bags and a feeling of hurt you had never actually had before. You cornered Mason, refusing to leave until he told you what the hell was going on and when he did, you were gone like a flash with a broken heart to seek out the man who needed you now more than he ever did.
Your heart shatters even more when you step into his house, pushing it open and pulling out the key he gave you a few months ago as you head carefully to the kitchen. You can hear him trying to talk, his voice strained and croaky as he attempts to speak over the sound of the screaming baby girl.
"Come on sweetheart," he begs, "Please take your bottle, I promise you're just tired."
His house is messier than you've ever seen it with gifts unopened, blankets and bottles, baby toys and clothes strewn around everywhere you could see.
You're quick and quiet to get to work clearing the place up, clean clothes being folded and sat in his clean laundry hamper while sorting the dirty things and shoving them into the washing machine by colour before tidying away all the blankets into the baby boxes he had set up in his front room. The infant upstairs screams the entire time you whiz around, throwing an entire bin bag worth of rubbish out of his kitchen before restocking all the shelves and his empty fridge with food for him and milk powder for the little girl. The pizza you shoved in the oven the second you arrived was finished after 15 minutes, so you plated that and left it on the kitchen island before you decided to make you presence known to him.
"Need a helping hand?"
His head whips around rapidly, instinctively tucking his daughter closer into his chest before he recognised your voice and turned his face back away from you. "You shouldn't be here, (y/n)." He mumbles, bouncing his legs to try and get that screeching to stop before he starts crying again himself.
How had everything ended up so messy? He found a girl that he thought he loved, he had his best friends and he had you. She got pregnant and he was ecstatic until she told him she wasn't interested in having a baby. It was too late to do anything about it, so she gave birth to that baby and legally signed over parental rights wholly and fully to a destroyed Ben. You, of course, had to find this out half from the tabloids and half from Mason. Ben was absolutely affronted. He was mortified. How had he gotten himself in this position?
You were the first and only person he wanted to tell. He was desperate to seek out your arms and have an absolute sob to you so you could help him fix this like you do with everything else, but he couldn't bring himself to face you. He cut you off slowly and carefully without even noticing himself because she had coaxed him into it. She played him like a fiddle, let him grow her platform and fund her lifestyle until she had everything she wanted from him and left him with something that was supposed to be theirs to love forever.
As if things couldn't get worse, from the moment he found out she was having a baby he had realised he didn't want kids or a life with anyone but you and now here he is, with a baby that has no mother and he had lost you. How could he just go back crying to you now after all the hurt he had caused you? What kind of person does that? He made this mess and it was his to clean up.
"Mason told me what happened. You can fight me all you want, Ben but I'm not going to go anywhere so you may as well just let me help." You say firmly, not inviting a single space for him to actually contest your words. His shoulder deflate even further than they already are as he finally turns to meet your eyes.
There's bags and dark circles beneath his with greasy, messy hair and a shirt he probably hadn't changed in longer than he should.
"I'm sorry." He croaks, clamping down on his lip with his teeth so he doesn't immediately burst out crying at the sight of you standing there in his house. God, he's missed you so much he couldn't even begin to put it into words and his emotions are so messed up from the lack of sleep that he'll cry at just about anything right now. "It's forgotten about. We don't have to talk about it, I'm here to help."
The weight that lifts off of Ben's shoulder is the kind of immense relief that only really you can bring to him, honestly. There are few people that he has ever met that can ease him like you can and knowing he doesn't have to explain this whole situation really is something he's so thankful for.
"This is Lilly," he says weakly, nodding his head down at her whining. You smile immediately and without thought, stepping forward to get a closer look at the small baby, only two weeks old and already giving her dad a run for his money. "Hello Lilly," you coo softly, raising your hand to stroke her cheek with your finger in the most gentle manner he's ever seen. "Can I? I feel like I've missed out on two weeks worth of aunt (y/n) cuddles."
He tries not to think much into the fact you refer to yourself as her aunt because if he lets enough thought onto it, he'll find himself breaking his heart over you all over again. Ben nods, passing her into your arms carefully.
"I'll feed her, I made some pizza for you so you should go eat." You hold our your hand to take the bottle from him, but he frowns. "I-" Ben stutters, "I don't want to just lump you with her, plus she's upset so I shouldn't leave her y'know? It's not fair on-"
"Go and eat Ben, and have a shower while you're at it. We'll be fine in here, I've babysat a million times before." You shrug, taking the bottle from him as you step further into the nursery instead of standing in the doorway cradling the still whimpering little girl in her pink onesie. "But I-"
"Go."
"I should-"
"Ben go, now."
Ben sighs in defeat and turns on his heel, the rumbling of his stomach finally giving him away as he realises just how hungry and smelly he actually is. No wonder the infant was crying in his hold.
He trudges downstairs, hearing the sounds of those winging dying down as he does, half expecting to walk into the messy swamp he had left when he went upstairs earlier this morning, only to see the whole bottom floor of the house was basically as spotless as it had been the day he moved in, bar the baby variety adjustments he had made to welcome the new arrival.
He makes a mental note to thank you more and do some grovelling and apologising later on. He knows he has to do it and he knows he'll explain in more detail what really happened probably later today, but for now he will scoff that pizza down his throat faster than he has ever consumed a meal in all of his life before raining the cupboards that he discovered you had stocked. He is reminded with every step he takes around his house that this is you, again, here holding him up when the world around him feels like its completely crumbled.
This is what you do, you keep him together, fix him up after the heartbreaks and breakups preparing him for the next girl who's pieces you'll have to pick up when they hurt him. This time he doesn't want another girl, he wants you. This time, the one time that he would be miles too late. He's got a baby now that he needs to focus on and he can't imagine that you're going to want an instant family even if you could really see past the fact he had ghosted you for nearly five straight months from the moment he found out his girlfriend was pregnant. He can't forgive himself, so how on earth would you?
If he would ask, you would tell him you already had. Seeing how hurt he was, how genuinely sorry things had ended dup like this with everyone in his life he was was enough for you. It was enough to cause you actual physical pain. You never could hold a grudge considering the situation he had ended up in.
Ben had never ever once in his life being more thankful for his shower. He’s also pretty sure he fell asleep against the wall with the heat of the shower steam loosening his muscles and the fatigue of barely an hours sleep catching up to him. He towel dries off his hair, letting the towel hang around his neck as he rubs it against his head while he pads along the soft carpet of his hallway from the bedroom to his beautifully done pink nursery where he hears no crying, at all.
But he does here soft talking.
“Giving your daddy a hard time eh, pretty girl.” You hum softly, slowly swaying from side to side. She lays in your arms, looking up at you and stealing every bit of your heart with her daddies eyes. “He deserves it a little, you know. Just ‘cause he done me out of some adorable baby cuddles y’know?” Ben can hear the teasing smile on your lips as he leans against the doorframe out of your sight, keeping quiet so as not to be detected. “But he’s a good man, sweet girl. One of the best, actually. And i know he’s already such a good daddy to you, he loves you so so much. Do you know that, eh?” You say quietly. Ben catches the sight of you swaying that amazed little baby who coos up at you, reaching for your finger to hold. “Mhm, and i love you too. You have no idea how loved you are.” That’s one thing Ben can agree on.
“And you might not know it now because you’re little, but i do know one thing for absolute certain; I’m always gonna be here for you, and for your daddy even if he’s as stubborn about it as they come. You’ve got to help me out though, eh sweet girl? Be good to that daddy of yours. Yeah, sleepy baby? Mhm, my sweet girl.” The way you hum, bouncing her carefully and swaying in just the right way for her to fall asleep in your arms. Ben watches you for only a minute more, softly singing a little lullaby to her that makes Ben’s heart swell to ache so much that he has to take a small little video before he heads off downstairs with one last look.
When you finally greet him downstairs with a tight hug that he sinks into immediately, resting his cheek on your shoulder as your hands massage your fingers through his freshly cleaned hairs as his arms hug around your waist. “I’ve missed you.” He admits, words muffled by your sweatshirt. The feeling of your fingers at the nape of his neck makes him hum in content and sink into you peacefully just like his baby daughter did not half an hour ago. You’re just perfect for them both in every way and there is not one bone in his body that doesn’t wish he had started his family with you.
But with that realisation comes one more; that he will not settle until he has given everything he has, tried with every morsel of him to earn your forgiveness. He might not of started his family with you, but he is damn determined to make you part of it.

bts reaction -> you do something that upsets/angers them
woah! finally, a new reaction post??
(all gifs used are not mine!)
Namjoon:
Well, well, well, what could you have possibly said to create an argument with Namjoon. He, for one, doesn’t like arguments. He would instead talk to you and settle all the problems without raising his voice.
But if the argument does get too far, he’s making sure that he gets his point across, even if his words might sting.
Namjoon sits on the edge of the bed, looking up at you who was standing in front of him with your arms crossed.
“I did nothing wrong, Y/n,” he states with a deep yet calm tone, “You didn’t tell me that I had to run errands. How would I when I’m in the studio with the boys?”
He raises his brow when you stomp your feet on the wooden floor. Eyeing you up and down, his blood slowly rises when he feels like you’re acting insensitive.
“But you knew that we had no groceries left!”
Namjoon suppresses his anger like he always does, “Stop being selfish, Y/n. Tell me, who’s paying your bills?” he points his chin out.
“Hey, I pay half of our bills!”
“There you go. That just means you also shouldn’t be depending on me so much when I’m busy doing work, okay?”
Tumblr media
(aln: this gif is so fucking hot istg i’m on my knees)
Seokjin:
You feel the other side of the bed dip, signaling that someone had come into bed with you. Peeking your eyes open just slightly, you feel your body relaxing as you finally saw Seokjin after a long, hard day.
“Hey, darling,” you whisper, scooting closer to him to hug his body. Seokjin murmurs something under his breath, but you didn’t quite grasped what it was.
Seokjin moves around, furrowing his eyebrows as a groan escapes his mouth. “Please…”
Ignoring the word, you instantly scatter his face with kisses, kissing his forehead and down to his plump lips.
“Not now, Y/n.”
“Why?” you pout, “lemme kiss you. I haven’t seen you all day.” You continue your mischief on him, placing open-mouthed kisses all over.
With eyes still closed, he pushes you away with both hands.
Shocked, you look at him in awe of what he just did.
“That’s so rude,” you scoff.
“I just want to sleep, Y/n. I’m tired and I don’t want to talk.”
Silence fills the room as you sullenly observe him pull the covers over his body. He rubs his face with his hands as he lets go of an exasperated sigh. “Get over it. I had a bad day, okay? I just want silence and a night of good sleep, that’s all I want right now.”
You know how Seokjin gets mad. His words are his weapon. You think that it’s much better leaving him alone than further pushing his buttons. Tomorrow will be another day.
Tumblr media
Yoongi:
Yoongi doesn’t get angry that often. It’s quite impressive how he can calm himself down and avoid the anger. But it’s also alarming – because whenever he does get angry, he can become outright terrifying and a guilt-tripping madman.
“Is it because I don’t talk to you enough?” Yoongi alarms through the phone, the rage in his voice evident even though you can’t see his face. “Huh? Is it because I don’t give you enough attention?”
“It’s not like that! You have to understand that he’s just a friend!” You grip the phone tighter in your damp hand.
“I bet that guy treated you better, hm? I bet that’s the reason.” Yoongi’s voice was filled with bitter sarcasm as he speaks. The tone of his voice makes you clench your fist in annoyance. It was clear that he was manipulating you with his words, but there’s nothing you can do to stop him.
“You know what? Whatever, Y/n. You do whatever the fuck you want. I don’t care. But get ready for when I get home, you’re gonna get some serious fucking punishment.”
There was a long, thick silence after his sentence. You can feel your heartbeat thump loudly in your chest, upset in both yourself and in Yoongi.
“It isn’t my intention to upset you,” you sigh, “you’re the one that I care about. Always.”
“Then show it to me.”
You gasped. Are your actions not enough for him to believe you?
Tumblr media
Hoseok:
Hoseok can be immensely intimidating when angry. Those eyes that can show the sweetest candy smile, with a single wrong move, they can turn into the most devilish gaze someone has ever seen.
Even his members find him scary whenever he’s mad.
As you watch the band practice their choreography for their performance next week, you couldn’t keep your eyes on Hoseok. The way his body just moves smoothly without any imperfections at all, it was clear that he was made for dancing and performing on stage.
Park Jimin calls off for a break and the members rush to their respective corners to catch their breath. Hoseok walks to the other side of the practice room where he sits down. Until suddenly, Jimin comes to your direction with a sly smirk on his face.
“Did you like the choreo?” he says, voice sort of raspy and out of breath. You giggle, “Yes. It was fire.”
“Mhm…” he places his hands on the table in front of you and leans forward, making your eyes widen. What is he doing…?
His eyes were almost slitted, licking his lips. You can’t help but notice small droplets of sweat trickling down from his temples and to his jawline, and how the light reflex the dampness of his neck. “Were you watching me?”
“H-Huh?” You stutter, mouth agape. “Yeah. You’re so good, Jimin, as always,” you respond while tucking your hair behind your ear.
Jimin’s grin widens, satisfied with your answer. Before he can give a verbal reply, Hoseok was right behind him and he swiftly pushes Jimin aside. He gives him a ‘look’ paired with a shake of his head. He whispers something to Jimin as he walks away.
Hoseok lifts his chin whilst he looks down at you with those menacing dark brown eyes. “Are you enjoying your time here?”
“Well,” you gulp, “Yes.”
He looks away for a second, brushing his hair back. You can hear that he took a deep sigh. Placing his forearms on the table, he stares directly into your eyes. His irises burn deep into you as he takes a heavy breath, “You know how possessive I am of you, Y/n. Only—” he lifts his right hand and caresses your cheek, swiping his thumb across your bottom lip, “only look at me.”
Tumblr media
Jimin:
Jimin was clicking away on his laptop as he sits on the barstool, eyes glued on the screen for he didn’t even notice that you’ve walked up behind him. Slowly, you wrap your arms around his waist. His body jumps in utter shock.
“Babe,” he groans, “don’t do that again. Don’t surprise me like that.”
His tone was plain and sharp, bringing an attitude that signifies that he is annoyed.
Perhaps he needs more love and attention?
Inhaling his scent, you rest your cheek against his back. The sounds of the keys clicking were slowly becoming irritating, so you snatch his hands away to hold them in your grasp.
“Wha—Y/n!” he yells, but you unrightfully ignore him.
“C’mon, baby. Just rest for a while and come cuddle with me instead—”
“Cuddle?” he turns the stool around so he faces you. He scoffs, “You really want us to cuddle right now? When I’m in the middle of work?” he raises his voice at you, making you feel small. Trying your best not to be hurt by his razor-sharp timbre, you stand your ground. “Stop fucking annoying me and let me do my job, okay?”
“I’m just trying to—”
“—Just trying to help, yeah.” He rolls his eyes. “Please just, just leave me alone for a couple of minutes.”
But he will feel so fucking bad afterward, though. Jimin lets his emotions get the best of him and he used you to let it all out. You understand him, nonetheless. He is the type to bottle up his feelings. But deep down, you wish he would tell you everything that’s been bothering him, without having to keep them for himself.
Tumblr media
Taehyung:
Taehyung rarely gets mad at you. But whenever he does, he’s quick to apologize and forget about the situation because he doesn’t want to cause a much bigger problem.
So, stealing his food from the fridge wouldn’t annoy him, right?
He was supposed to come home early for tonight, but he informed you that he’ll be a little bit late because of traffic.
Although your hunger couldn’t wait any longer.
Taking the box of food out of the fridge, you did not hesitate to gobble them all up to feed your rumbling stomach. You know for a fact that he’s going to empathize with you anyway.
As he comes home, though, you weren’t still finished and he stops his tracks when he sees that you were eating his meal.
“Y/n!” he gasps, “This one is yours!” he says, raising the takeout box he bought on the way home. “You said you wanted Chinese, didn’t you?”
Uh-oh…
You slowly stand up from the dining table, walking your way out of the area with his food still in your hands with a little cheeky grin.
Taehyung pouts as he whines out your name, “I hate it when you do this! I was craving for that!” He stomps his foot, “This is so upsetting, you know.”
You feel your heart clench at that, “I’m sorry…”
“Come here, you!” Taehyung all of a sudden, runs to catch you, signaling your fight or flight response. You shriek and dashed all around the dining room, trying to avoid Taehyung as much as possible. He had his arms sprawled across like an eagle, cackling.
Once you let him catch you, he hugs your body tightly in his grasp. “Hmm? You’re so naughty, babe. You know I can’t get mad at you for too long.” He grabs the food box away from you and sets it aside. He whispers, “But don’t do this again.”
Tumblr media
Jungkook:
“I mean, look at her, Jungkook. Doesn’t her face irritate you?” you inquire at him, showing an Instagram picture of that one girl you despise. She had her whole butt on screen, tongue out, showing off her long acrylic nails.
Sitting on the couch beside you, Jungkook purses his lips and looks at the screen. “Hmm.” He says plainly.
“Goddamn, whenever I see her in real life my saliva turns sour, y’know? Ugh¸ I hate her so much.” You can feel your nerves rile up, throwing your feet on the coffee table in front of you.
Jungkook speaks, “What has she done to you?” he says in a monotone voice.
“Uh,” you turn to look at him, raising an eyebrow, “Why?”
He shrugs his shoulders, “Just wondering.”
“Okay, fine,” You roll your eyes, “She has done nothing, all right? But—”
He laughs unexpectedly, making you crease your forehead both in frustration and perplexity.
Jungkook himself was never the type to create arguments or say what he feels out loud. He would most likely internalize his thoughts and opinions and waits for the perfect timing to affront.
But if there’s a moment where he a situation feels unfair, he’s not afraid to stand up for what he believes.
“You know that’s wrong, darling,” he sighs, scooting over to you. He swings his right arm around your shoulder and tugs your figure closer. “There’s no reason to hate someone without having a definitive reason. C’mon, just ignore her if she bothers you so much.”
You frown, “But…”
“But what? Baby, if you do this one more time, I’ll be very upset. More upset in you than I am right now.”
Immediately, you jerk your head to look at him. With puppy dog eyes, you apologize, “Sorry.”

Jason Voorhees x gn reader
Happy Friday the 13th everyone. I made a little Jason fic for everyone to enjoy on this fun day. I already do a movie night on Fridays but today’s is gonna be even more special. Anyway enough of that, here’s some fluff with our boy Jason
Today is Jasons birthday. He's turning (according to your knowledge) 23 this year. You decided to make him a chocolate cake since he seems in love with chocolate. He never grew up around much sweets so it makes sense that the would wanna eat the stuff now. You sent him off into the woods so you can surprise him with a cake. You've baked before in the past and you were ok at it. You had help from family or friends who were much better at it than you are. You bought at the ingredients and now you're gonna get to work on it. You're using an old baking book your great grandma used when she baked. She always made the best cakes and cookies when you visited so you trust this. "Ok cream together the melted butter and sugar." You pour the melted butter into the sugar and mix it together. You follow the rest of the instructions as they go. "Now the milk." You measure out the milk and pour it in. Mixing it together you get the batter consistency you need. You're gonna stack it together a few together cakes and ice it. You pour out the batter in the pans and put them in the oven. You get to work on the icing next.
Once you get it done you put it in the fridge to let it set. You take out the cakes and let them cool off. In the mean time you get your house ready for the celebration. You and Jason live in a little cottage in the woods together. Well you're the one who bought it and you're listed at the only one who lives there. You've got a good job and are going steady in life. You got him a few gifts that you surprisingly kept hidden from him. Jason's good at finding things. Any time you lose something you ask him and he finds it in like five minutes. You got him some small hunting knives, a bow and arrows, a couple new jackets, a new pair of boots because his current pair is falling apart and some sea shells. He's been fascinated by the pictures and stories you tell him about the ocean. He's never seen it before but you know he would love it. You wanted to give him a little piece of the ocean.
You set the gifts down on your table and get to work on the cake again. You start stacking them with icing working as a glue. You start icing the sides when you pushed a bit too hard and made the cake topple over.
"Shit shit come on." You try to save the cake and you stack it on top again this time with small dents. You ice over it again and smile. It's looking good. You grab a little bag of darker icing and write out
Happy birthday Jason, I love you
You smile at the decent handwriting. You put the cake on the table and get out a few plates and forks. You grab a knife and some candles too. You start putting them in the cake then the back door opens. Jason walks into the kitchen machete in hand. He was nice enough to clean in. You turn around and hold out your arms. "Happy birthday Jason!" You step aside and let him see the cake and the presents. He tilts his head and sets his weapon down. He walks over and looks down at the cake. You're waiting with anticipation for his reaction. He turns to you and signs
Very sweet thank you
You smile and light the candles. "Ok so you think of a wish and blow out the candles." Jason thinks for a minute. He lifts up his mask a bit and blows out the candles. You clap and take them out. "I'm glad you're enjoying this. Let's eat some cake and then you can open your gifts. He nods and sits down. You take the knife and cut two pieces, making sure to make Jasons bigger. You two eat the cake in silence. It's moist and fluffy. Not too sweet but still tasting good. Once you two are done you move the cake out of the way and let Jason grab a box. He lifts it and looks at it from all angles. It's wrapped in a dark green wrapping paper you know Jason would like. "You're supposed to tear away the wrapping paper Jason. That's how to get to the gift." He looks at you then looks back at the box. He starts to rip open the paper and exposes a small set of hunting knives. He opens the box with ease. He pulls them out one by one and examines them. He seems pleased. He opens the next one. The bow and arrows. He looks at the box and looks at you. He sets it down and signs
Very nice Thank you
"You're very welcome Jason. Now open your next one." He grabs the shoe box and tears off the wrapping paper. He opens the box and looks at the new boots. You made sure to get military grade ones. They were expensive but you needed to get Jason new shoes. "Go ahead, put them on." You say. Jason takes off his old boots and puts on his new ones. He stands up and walks around a bit.
Need little work to make better
He signs. You nod and he sits back down. He grabs the jackets and seems pleased with them. He tried a few on and set them back down. He picks up the last box and opens it. He stares at the shells and picks one up. "They're sea shells Jason. I told you about them remember? They're things you find on the shore of the ocean. I wanted to bring the beach to you." He stares at them a bit more. Examining the shells, accidentally breaking one in the process. After five minutes of his mmmmmmmmm staring at the shells he stands up. He walks over to you and hugs you. He actually picks you up a bit and just holds you in a hug. You smile and rest your head on his chest. He doesn't often give physical affection. He usually just brings you small gifts he finds or cooks for you. This must have been a special birthday for him to get this hug.
Thank you love them
He signs after he stopped hugging you. You smile. "You're very welcome Jason. You're very welcome."

Midnight Brownies
Tumblr media
Masterlist
Warnings - Reader has a nightmare.
Genre - Slight angst, Slight crack (all from felix), fluff.
-
You woke up sweating as you tried to catch your breath, tears welled in your eyes and your lips trembled as they tried to contain your tears.
Your alarm clock read 3am, you had work in three hours but you couldn't bring yourself to get back to sleep. You just had a nightmare where Felix died in your arms due to a crazy sasaeng, you were shaking in pure terror at just the thought of that scenario.
You noticed the kitchen light turned on, and Felix was nowhere in your shared bedroom. This has happened a few times, usually playing video games in the living room to calm his brain. But you needed his presence to reassure that he wasn't in any danger.
You rushed towards the lighted area, your feet tingling against the cold wood floor. You crossed your arms to try and keep some heat in your body, not used to the cold house after being in a blanket cacoon for hours.
Your heart and mind were put to ease when you witnessed your boyfriend stirring a bowl of brownie batter. That relief was quickly replaced by confusion, why was he baking brownies at the three in the morning?
"Babe... Whatcha doing?" You asked, propping yourself onto the empty kitchen counter.
Felix jumped slightly, not expecting to hear your voice. He took off his headphones, turning around with his pajamas dusted with glour and brownie batter. His eyes were like saucers, shocked that you woke up from your deep slumber.
"I am baking brownies." He answered, as if it was normal to bake at 3am.
"At 3am?" You questioned on, wondering what was running through that cute brain of his.
"What are you doing up at 3am?" Felix retorted, his irresistible grin appearing as he trapped you in between his arms.
"I had a nightmare and needed you." You answered truthfully, jumping off the counter to snuggle closer into his warm pajama shirt.
You both waddled around the kitchen as your limbs were entangled in one another's. His lips were pressed against your head, the hot breath released from his nose brushed across your skin in a comforting way.
Any worry or stress you ever had, he always managed to erase from your head. It was like a super power, not even your own parents could calm you as well as he could. It's been 3 years since you met him, and you can't picture your life without him.
"I can't tell you why I was baking brownies. But I can show you." He whispered, his deep voice slightly raspy from the lack of rest.
His bright smile returned, his messy ponytail getting ready to fall apart at any moment. No makeup, freckles on full display, and wearing slightly tattered pajamas. This was the most handsome you've ever seen him look, seeing him completely natural was a treat only you got to see.
"It was going to be this big surprise for you, but since you woke up much earlier than expected. I guess I'll have to blindfold you so I can set up a few things." Felix whispered, still only inches away from your lips.
You gently pecked his lips before he placed a blindfold over your eyes. You heard his feet rushing across the house, nearly crashing into multiple items. He'd repeat that he was okay with a nervous laugh, you expected nothing less from your clumsy sunshine.
You heard a whipped cream can being whipped out of the fridge, covering many different items. You were slightly concerned on how many brownies Felix made, because you know for a fact neither of you could finish two whole trays by yourselves.
You felt his arms wrap around the back of your body, softly guiding you to the dining room where his surprise was laid out perfectly. His fingertips grazed your skin as he lifted the mask above your eyes.
The room was lit up dimmly with three candles, rose petals creating a heart over the plates of brownies. The brownies each has a letter of whipped cream on top of them. Putting the plates together, they read 'Will you be mine?'
Your heart stopped for a moment, it wasn't your anniversary til two months. And you were already dating, you turned around to see him kneeling on one knee with a box embraced in his shaking hands.
You gasped, legs wobbling from shock. Tears stremead down your cheeks, you weren't upset. You were happy, and incredibly surprised, you never thought he'd propose until he was finished with the idol life.
"Y/n L/n, Will you marry me?" He asked, opening the box to reveal the most beautiful ring you have ever witnessed.
You could see the worry in his eyes, concern of making you feel pressured or moving too fast consumed his thoughts. But they rushed away once you squealed yes, jumping up and down repeatedly. Felix couldn't even register your answer before you pounced onto him.
"Yes yes yes and a million times yes." You giggled, tears drenching the short sleeves that were loose on his shoulders.
Felix laid you onto the ground as he placed kisses on your lips over and over and over again, each one making it more noticeable that he was smiling into the kiss.
There you two were making out, both in pajamas at 3am on the floor of the dining room. Plates brownies still untouched, the words still perfectly visibly on each treat. Minutes ago you were a scared girlfriend/boyfriend recovering from a nightmare, now you were engaged and never felt the amount of joy than you did at that moment.
-Bonus the next day-
You walked into the dressing rooms, noticing Yuna sitting her chair awaiting your arrival. Her adorable bunny smile beamed at you, that smile turned into a large o shape. Gasping when she noticed the ring on your finger.
"Oh my God he proposed!" She squealed, jumping out her seat to embrace you in her arms.
The rest of itzy turned to your direction, rushing towards you as they all wanted to see your new ring. They were your best friends and hair clients, and you couldn't wait to assign them the bridesmaid dresses.
"I call maid of honour." Ryujin commented, raising her arms in the air while looking at each member for confirmation.

The Coal Shed - Teddy
A thing! A thing I like! Huzzah!
[Teddy's Masterlist]
CW: Captivity, parental whumper, failed escape attempt, pushed down the stairs, duct tape restraints, isolation
Teddy stood behind the haphazard stack, breathing shallowly. He didn’t know what the hell was going on, but he wasn’t going to stay in this attic a single moment more. He was going home, back to school, back to his life. He had scoured the attic, gathering the heaviest things he could find - mostly just boxes of books and a TV as thick as the mini fridge. The pile was next to the trapdoor, primed to be pushed over onto the creep as soon as he came up.
There was creaking from below him and Teddy nearly stopped breathing. His palms were sweaty against the plastic, poised and ready to push and then run. He had no clue where he was, how he would get home, but everything would work out if he could just get out of the house.
The trapdoor opened and Teddy shoved the tower of junk as hard as he could at the figure. When the man cried out and fell backwards, the boy saw his opportunity. He dashed past him, catching himself on his hands and knees. He barely had time to look back, no time to look around as he scrambled to his feet and ran for his life.
He clambered down the hall, ramming into the wall and knocking a picture frame off. Didn’t look down, didn’t have time - the man was cursing up a storm behind him. Following him.
“Help!” Teddy screamed, sneakers squeaking on the parquet wood floors. He saw the glossy wooden banister of the stairs and his heart leapt.
From the landing, he could see the front door. It was right there.
Just as he reached the top of the stairs, hands landed on his shoulders and pushed. Before he could grab onto the railing, before he could even imagine catching his balance, he fell forward.
The ledges of the stairs slammed into his sides and arms, knocking the breath out of him and surely leaving long, straight bruises. At the bottom, he coughed and groaned, head still spinning from the tumble. His glasses were gone somewhere, making the world blurry and unfocused. Even then, Teddy could see the door in front of him. There was frosted glass on either side, bright light streaming through and the moving shadows of bushes and landscaping only barely visible.
He got up onto his elbows before a shoe planted in his back and pinned him to the ground. Teddy cried out weakly, but the man simply pressed the air out of his lungs.
“You little shit!” the man shouted, lifting his boot to stomp down on the boy’s back. Teddy cried out, feeling one of his ribs snap. Tears dripped down his cheeks onto the tile as his fingers searched for traction. He wheezed and coughed, breathing now feeling utterly impossible.
“You are going to learn your place,” the man growled, finally taking the weight off his back and lifting him by his shirt collar. Teddy whimpered, struggling to find his footing.
“P-pleas,e, ple-ease” he tried, one arm curled around his ribs and the other over the man’s hand. He was being dragged back through the house, farther and farther from the door. Farther from freedom, from home, from everything. He choked on a sob, only being shoved forward when he tried to pull away.
The man didn’t speak to him again, instead flinging the garage door open and throwing Teddy bodily to the ground. He curled up on the cold concrete, beginning to sob in earnest. He could hear his captor grumble and curse as he collected something, but he couldn’t pay attention to what.
There was the screech of duct tape being unwound, then the man’s hand roughly grabbing his hair. Teddy looked up at him blearily, breath hitching as he cried. “Pl-”
Emotionlessly, the man pressed the tape over Teddy’s mouth and circled it around his head once before he ripped it off. Teddy’s shoulders shook as he cried, eyes growing wide with panic. His muffled cries were ignored, instead the back of his neck pushed forward until he was nearly folded in half. The position was agony on his ribs, one in particular sharp with pain.
More tape secured his wrists to his ankles, then the ankles together. He was now an awkward shape to pick up, but that made the man’s brute strength simply all the scarier. Teddy wished desperately for his glasses, at least so he could know where he was going.
The man kicked open another door, a smaller one, leading into a small, dark room. He dropped the boy carelessly, shoving him farther into the shed with his foot. Teddy looked up at him to try and beg with his eyes, but the door was slammed in his face.
More tears dripped down his face as he laid his head on his knees.
~
It was cold in the shed. Cold, dark, uncomfortable. Thick, black coal dust floated around his head, finding its way into this nose, his eyes. It would tickle and build up, but without the use of his hands all Teddy had to rely on was his knees to try and wipe the horrible feeling away.
His rib hurt. Lines of bruises on his arms and legs hurt. His chest hurt.
~
Eventually he was able to pull himself upright, even shoot closer to the door. With a shiver, Teddy leaned his head against the side of the shed and whimpered. He doubted anyone would be able to hear him, but he could try. He somehow fell asleep like that.
~
Teddy thought things would be better when he woke up. He’d be home in his room, all of this a terrible dream. Or even still just back in that attic, trapped and kept but at least able to stretch out his legs. Able to get some water or a little food.
In some ways, the darkness was kind like that. He could imagine - ignoring the dust and cold of course - that he was home. That things weren’t so bleak. That he’d be found.
He felt like he could taste the coal in his mouth by now.
~
He woke and slept and cried and wriggled in his bonds all he could, but nothing changed there in the dark. He curled on his side until he was numb, tried to work the tape off his mouth. Useless useless useless.
When the door did finally open, all Teddy could do was whimper shakily. He had leaned up against the wall at one point, and could no longer find the strength to change his position. The man’s shape was a dark figure only barely lit by the low light outside.
The first thing Teddy noticed was that his hand was warm as it cut away the tape.
Bernard sighed, picking the limp boy up in his arms. He better be more well behaved by now - this had not been how Bernard had hoped to spend his weekend. Regardless, the attic was freshly combed through and cleaned, a new chain installed to keep him secure until he could be trusted more.
He was filthy, soot covering his entire body and Bernard’s clothes by proxy. Not wanting to dirty his bathroom, he used the hose outside to get most of the dust off. While it wasn’t his main intent, seeing the boy shiver so violently from the cold was satisfying. He deserved it.
“Shh, shh,” he cooed, coiling the garden hose away and wrapping a beach towel around the boy’s shoulders. “All done. You’re all done now, son. Let’s get you inside and nice and warm, hmm? I might even put on the game for you while you warm up.”
He sat the boy up at the table and closed the door, confident he wouldn’t be going anywhere in this state. When he turned back, he chuckled at how the young man had slumped down onto the table.
“Hey now, no need for that,” he chided, propping him back up. “You know you’ll feel better when you warm up.”
Teddy’s head lulled to face him, soft brown eyes dull with confusion and hurt. Bernard smiled and stroked his hair, not worrying how they’d get the duct tape out later.
“You know I don’t like to do this to you, Slugger, but you have to obey. Remember that, and things will be much easier.” He ruffled the young man’s wet hair and stood, checking his watch. He needed to get to sleep if he was going to make his meeting tomorrow morning.
Just as easily as before, he carried the boy out of the kitchen and back up to the attic. He was still a bit damp, but Bernard laid him down on the cot anyway. The boy’s eyes were closed almost immediately, drifting softly to sleep.
He reached over to the shackle he had installed earlier and secured it around the sleeping boy’s ankle. He wouldn’t be going anywhere.

Light in the Window
Jasonette July prompt 10: light
Jasonette July
My masterlist
Marinette jumped as there was a crash outside her window. She cursed loudly as she realized she ended up with a long, jagged line of stitching going off the wrong direction. At least she had just started this part and it would be on the inside so no one would see the mishap. She glanced over at the window. It had gone very silent but the crash was too loud for it to have been something that would have crept away without her hearing it.
She supposed she could use a stretch anyway. It wouldn’t do to not check out something hitting her window at this hour in Gotham. Too many possible things to go wrong. She didn’t want to test her luck against the City of Crime. But test it she had apparently, she thought with a sigh as she looked through the curtains.
She pried the window open to check and see if the form outside her window was breathing. She didn’t know all the characters that ran around on the rooftops in this city. They seemed to have a full cast of rotating characters. It was basically a vigilante soap opera. Too many of them used red as a main color. Perhaps it was inspired by Deadpool. They couldn’t show weakness so they had to camouflage the blood from any injuries.
The man moved and groaned slightly as his arm flopped off her window as she pushed it up. He jolted when his hand landed on his chest. She sucked in a breath as he went from laying there appearing dead to shooting his hand out to grasp her wrist in a death grip instantaneously. She backed away and started what would have been a surprised squeal if his hand hadn't covered her mouth muffling any noise she would have produced. He slipped through the window and closed it and curtain in a quick motion. He pushed her against the wall with his hand that was still covering her mouth. He made a quiet shushing noise before removing his hand and then walked over and turned off her light leaving her apartment in total darkness.
Marinette should have looked for a pamphlet or guide to the rooftop cast. It was something she had thought about but hadn’t done yet because she had hardly left since moving in. She had supplies and groceries delivered and there was a trash chute in the hallway. She hadn’t needed much yet and had a lot of work to do. Learning about the outside world here was not that high up on her to do list. She would have to hope that since he hadn’t already attacked that he would not find cause to do so.
She could have done a better job decluttering her pile of boxes that she hadn’t unpacked. She realized this as she tripped on a stack and then nearly fell over another. She hadn’t realized how close he had left her to the hazard. But before she tumbled all the way to the ground he had caught her mid fall and pulled her off her feet. She was awkwardly against his chest and thrashing until he set her down somewhere else. He moved her hand to the counter so she could tell that he had put her down in the kitchen. He must have some sort of night vision in his helmet.
“Do you have a light in here?" he asked.
“There is a switch by the fridge.”
A brief shuffle of feet and a flick and the soft glow of the kitchen light brought them out of darkness. Marinette still wasn’t sure what to say. He seemed to be moving around a bit, possibly checking for injuries. Now that there was enough light to see, she could see that he had guns on him. So, probably not one of the less dangerous ones. She didn’t think they used guns much. He righted himself a moment later, she could tell he was still on high alert and looking around her apartment. She moved herself closer to her abandoned place setting from earlier and tried to pick the quickest route to the door just in case she needed to escape.
“So, umm, who are you?” Marinette tried to sound casual.
She, of course, couldn't see his expression when he turned his head to look at her, but she imagined it was a quizzical expression on his face. Probably most Gothamites, native or otherwise had a good idea of most of the players around. Maybe he was one of the main characters and was offended that she didn’t know him.
“Are you new here?” he asked.
“Yes, not quite as new as you seem to be right here in my apartment. But I moved here recently.” she paused, not able to help a bit of snark in her current state. “The packed boxes are not just my choice of decor.”
She was glad to hear what she thought might have been a chuckle under his helmet.
“Most would probably tell you to leave them packed and just leave.”
“Everyone I know told me not to come at all, but my work is here.”
“Guess you can’t fault that.”
“So you aren’t offering a name, but you also don’t seem to be heading out. I was making some tea. Do you want some?”
“That sounds really nice. I would love some. Since you are so graciously offering your hospitality.”
“That’s one way to put it.”
She turned away to start the water and went about getting some snacks while waiting for the kettle to boil. He seemed to have no issue helping himself to whatever she had put out after removing his helmet to reveal a lensed mask beneath it. She ended up having to go in search of additional offerings because she hadn’t considered how much the man would eat. She pulled out noodle bowls she had made ahead to have easy food for herself and offered him one. It was simple to do with the kettle already freshly boiled.
She turned back around and slapped his hand away from the last macaron. Then gasped in shock when she realized what she had done. She still had no idea who he was. He laughed at her again before he picked up the macaron anyway. But instead of eating it he walked around to where she was sitting and lifted it up to her mouth. Marinette blushed as she took a small bite of it. He must have still been laughing at her because he leaned his face close to hers before he put the remainder in his own mouth.
“These are very good. I couldn’t just let you have the last one.”
“It's fine,” she said, her cheeks still burning. “I was due to make more soon anyway.”
“You made them? It is definitely settled, I will have to come back for more.”
“I don’t even know why you came here now. Unless you just didn’t have any food and needed some of mine.”
“I followed the light. I needed to lose someone following me.”
“Are you in danger?"
Her unasked question was whether or not he had put her in danger. He carried his tea and bowl of noodles and sprawled out on her couch before answering.
"They will have moved on tonight or will soon. I'm relatively certain no one saw where I went."
She set her own food on a tv tray and sat down on the other side of the couch. She was trying to pretend that this was all perfectly normal. She went about setting her food and tea up how she liked in silence. She didn't know what to say and he was content to remain silent. She could feel him watching her but she didn't want to turn and make eye contact with his mask lenses.
“Tell me about yourself.” He said breaking the silence.
“There isn’t much to tell. I moved here to expand my client base.”
“Where did you come from?”
“Originally I’m from France but after fashion school I took a semester in New York to get additional skills and help with understanding the language.”
“Fashion?” He raised his eyebrow at her.
“Not everyone can be as confident as you and run around the rooftops every night in an outfit that looks like that.”
He leaned close to her when she said that. She was pretty sure he was trying to intimidate her but she had to bite her lip to keep from laughing. Apparently her could tell though.
“Are you laughing at me?” she shook her head and bit her lip harder. “I like you. You either take no shit or you have no self preservation.”
“You have been here for a bit and you seem to have developed a vested interest in keeping me alive.”
“Did you not notice that I am carrying guns? I’m very good at using them.”
“I did. But you also ate all my food and decided you want to come back for more of my macarons.”
“I could get cookies anywhere. I’m a crime lord. I get whatever I want.”
“You probably won’t get better than someone who grew up in a French patisserie. But maybe that doesn’t matter if you are a crime lord resorting to hiding out in the apartment of a lowly fashion designer.”
“I like this. I don’t get a lot of people willing to talk to me like this.”
“Maybe its just because I don’t know who you are.”
“Could be. But I think you just can’t help yourself.”
He stood up and began walking around her apartment looking around. He spent a couple minutes looking at her designs in progress and then picked up her sketchbook. He held it up silently and she nodded, giving him permission to look in the book. When he got to a blank page he doodled a little picture and then closed the book without showing her. He looked back out the window and seemed to come to a decision.
“Thanks for the shelter and the hospitality. I guess I never got your name.”
“I didn’t get yours either.”
“I’m the Red Hood.”
Her eyes widened slightly. He chuckled. “So you have heard of me then.”
“I’m Marinette,” she said while nodding.
He walked up to her and brushed her hair from her face gently.
“I hope to see you soon Marinette. Its been a refreshing experience.”
With that he put his helmet back on and left through the window her came in and disappeared into the night. Marinette decided she was finished working for the evening and went to bed without bothering to put anything away. That certainly had been an interesting encounter. She wondered if he really would come back. She would have to buy more groceries if he did.

Masterlist
Working at Chicago Med was stressful, to say the least. Every day was filled with what felt like hundreds of patients, running around to make sure you were taking care of them to the best of your ability. For the most part being an ED doctor with fulfilling, seeing people come in sick and come out good as new. But other times it was draining, either from being swept off your feet every minute of the day or doing all that you could for a person and it still not being enough. That was what had happened today.
You were content as you entered the ED that morning, having spent the night at your boyfriend’s. Everything about your relationship was absolutely perfect, with everyone around you noticing your positive change of mood since getting together with Hank. Walking towards the nurse's station to log into a computer, Maggie and April came over to greet you, both commenting on the large grin that plastered your face.
“Someones happy,” April teased, watching your cheeks glow, as you looked down in mock embarrassment.
“Couldn’t have anything to do with the Sergeant boyfriend of yours could it?” Maggie lowered her head as well, trying to catch your eyes to find the truth within them. Opening your mouth to reply, you were interrupted by an incoming patient being wheeled on a gurney, the paramedics beside it holding a grim look on their faces.
The patient turned out to be a six-year old girl, she had suffered severe trauma to multiple areas of her body, including broken ribs, a collapsed lung and a mild concussion. You immediately took the case, being the only ED doctor available at the moment, but also specialising in paediatrics alongside Dr Manning. Looking the girl over, you noted each of her injures, seeing it was consistent with a severe car accident, and proceeding to insert a needle into her lung to allow it to re-inflate, before sending her upstairs to the OR for surgery. To an adult, the injuries wouldn’t have been fatal, but for a girl this size, the extent of the trauma didn’t bode well for her chances of survival. Praying for her as she was wheeled up to surgery, you felt a tear come to your eye, hoping that this little girl would actually be able to live her life to the fullest. An hour had passed and you still hadn’t heard any news on the little girl, so instead of dwelling on it, you busied your mind, taking any patients Maggie would give you, from a broken leg to a baby with a fever. But finally, as you were leaving a low-level emergency case, your pager buzzed, signalling you to the PICU, nodding to Maggie on the way up, knowing it would be the girl who had just come out of surgery. Speaking to her surgeon, you waited for her anaesthetic to wear off, knowing it wouldn’t be too long because of the low dosage she was given. It seemed as though she had no family with her, either injured or dead from the car wreck and so you sat by her bed, not wanting her to be alone when she finally woke up.
As she woke, you held her hand, introducing yourself, trying to make her as comfortable as you could. You spoke to her for a long time, completely forgetting about your other duties downstairs, instead, trying to make her laugh, telling stories and attempting to get her to recall the events that had happened earlier that day. Building trust was important to you, knowing she would need someone who she was happy with before all the other doctors and DCFS got involved. But time got cut short as your pager once again demanded you downstairs to deal with another patient. Quickly saying goodbye, you dashed downstairs to deal a man with a GSW to the abdomen. Checking his wound thoroughly, you tended to it before sending him to specialists upstairs. Content with the job you had done, you continued with your work in the ED.
After your shift had finished, you headed upstairs to say a final goodnight to the girl, bringing a small teddy with you that you had purchased in the gift shop, hoping it would keep her company overnight before you returned the next day. But as you walked towards her room something didn’t seem right. The lights were turned off, the bed empty. Maybe she had just been moved to a different room or ward, you thought to yourself, knowing there was probably a good explanation for this. Turning towards the nurse on duty behind the desk, you questioned her on the whereabouts of your new friend.
“Didn’t you hear? She coded and was pronounced dead an hour ago. Sorry Doctor Y/LN, I thought someone would have told you already.” Staring at the women, your mouth dropped open, stumbling backwards a bit to brace yourself on the doorway behind. Tears fell from your eyes, why would the universe allow an innocent young child to be taken so earlier in their life? Moving back downstairs you felt numb, just wanting this tragic day to be over. You texted Hank telling him you were on your way back and that you had the most horrible day, not going into any details on how or why.
Unbeknownst to you, Hank was already preparing your favourite meals, as he knew you were already getting increasingly stressed at work when your text came in. He felt bad for you, knowing the type of tragedies you saw daily, experiencing similar in his line of work, completely aware of the repercussions people felt being surrounded by death constantly. On top of making dinner for you, your text had prompted him to drove to the store in order to go above and beyond to try and boost your mood, buying things he knew would make your day better. Returning home he had about ten minutes before you would be back to try and set everything up, rushing about the house making sure every individual detail was perfect for your return. The table was prepared beautifully, accessorised with fancy silverware and candles, that were flickering slowly, ready and waiting to provide you with a romantic dinner. He had bought you a bouquet of your favourite flowers, already placed in a vase of water so you wouldn’t have to deal with the fuss of it on your arrival, and rose petals scattered along the floor in the direction of the table to add an extra romantic touch. Finally, he had one more surprise for you, hidden away in his back pocket, one that was guaranteed to make you smile.
Pulling into the driveway you exited your car, noting the darkness within the house, uncommon for this time of night and the fact that Hank had said he would be in all evening. Opening the door you called out to him, hoping that he hadn’t been pulled into another case, spending the night in his office once again. But as you took off your coat to place it on the hook you noticed the flowers on the table, to be specific your favourite flowers. You called out to him again, hoping he would appear to explain what was happening. Looking up, he stood in the doorway, a slight smile on his face, as you finally looked round properly noticing the rose petals, candles and your favourite food on the table.
“You did this all for me?” You asked.
“Of course I did sweetheart, I know you’ve had it hard at work recently so I wanted to surprised you with some of your favourite things.” To most peoples surprise, Hank was a true romantic at heart despite the cold exterior he held, just wanting to pamper you and treat you like the queen you were. Whether that be buying you your favourite sweets or complimenting you whenever possible, he did everything in his power to make sure you were happy.
Leading you towards the dinner table, you both sat down, quickly making conversation about everything, except work, that being an unspoken rule between you. Conversation flowed easily, both of you just happy to be in the presence of each other once more. Dinner had been polished off, with Hank fetching the dessert from the fridge after as you uttered the millionth ‘thank you’ to him. You both tucked in, moaning at the flavour that tasted like heaven after the day you had had. Looking up you noticed your boyfriend's demeanour had changed, no longer joyful but instead nervous, staring at his hands in his lap.
“What’s wrong Hank?” You asked, worried you had done something to set off this mood change. Instead of replying he lifted his hands from his lap onto the table along with a velvet box, slowly opening it to reveal a ring.
“Y/N, I know we haven’t been together that long and we haven’t discussed this that much but I’m getting old, and whilst I was thinking about that, I realised you really are it for. I can't even imagine myself with someone else or not spending the rest of my days with you. So Y/N Y/LN will you marry me?” Tears pricked your eyes, never in a million years would you have expected this, but instead of being angry about it, you couldn’t think of anything you wanted more.
“Only if you do it properly and get down on one knee,” you countered, watching as he got off his chair and onto one knee.
“So will you?”
“Yes!” You exclaimed throwing yourself into his arms.
As the evening winded down, you laid in Hank's arms on your shared bed thinking about everything life had given you. You couldn’t have met anyone as perfect as the man beside you. The man you would spend the rest of your life with, bear children with and grow old with. So as you drifted off to sleep, you pictured the little girl, hoping she was in heaven looking down on your life and smiling

The Strings That Bind Us ~ Servant of House Beneviento
Tumblr media
Summary: Vulcan becomes The Servant of House Beneviento. How will he do?
Pairing: Donna Beneviento x Male OC (Vulcan)
[A Few Hours From Sundown]
"And this will be your room." The small puppet said as she pushed open a door that revealed a room. One full-sized bed against the same wall that the door resided in but was placed in the center of the wall. The bed was downed in a blanket with dark grey and blue color schemes with two pillows at the head of the bed in grey pillowcases. Underneath the bed was a decent-sized grey rug that complimented the grey tile floor. On either side of the bed were dark grey hardwood nightstands - the left of which had a lamp and a small alarm clock. Across from the bed - on the other side of the room - was a study workstation with a chair, the dresser was tucked away in the corner, and the main closet was sitting on the adjacent wall of the dresser.
Vulcan walked into the room after Angie stepped away and looked around with a smile on his face, he left his cloak in the entrance hallway where the coatrack was located; revealing the black shirt and jeans he was wearing, along with his black boots and belt - the belt contained two sheathes that held his daggers. Lord Heisenberg wanted so badly to keep them because - in his own words - he was a house servant and house servants are not allowed to keep personal weapons, but Vulcan explained that he crafted those weapons and he was not just going to be one of those house servants that remained at home all the time - he intended to go out and do what he could for his House Mistress and he would need his daggers in case he ran into any...problems. Mother Miranda knew that Vulcan would cause no threat to Donna and demanded Heisenberg return the daggers to their master; which he reluctantly did. After which, Miranda dismissed the meeting and the other lords returned to their lands.
"I'm guessing the room is to your liking?" Angie asked as she levitated to reach Vulcan's eye level. The tall man looked at the possessed doll with a smile.
"It's perfect for me. Thanks for asking, Angie." Vulcan said as he placed his travel back - something else Heisenberg took from him and tried to keep because of the leather and design - against one of the nightstands.
"You're a strange one, ya know? Any sane person who saw a living doll would have run away, screaming for the hills." Angie said with a tilt of her massive head. Vulcan chuckled at those words.
"I may not be a 'sane person' then. Besides, I've spent years looking for you two; there was no way I was going to run away after finding you again." Vulcan said before his gaze turned to the outfit on the bed. "Is this going to be my work outfit?" Vulcan said as he walked over to it.
"Yes. Donna never really expected to have a house servant but just in case she did - she had two outfits said, one for each gender." Angie explained.
"I'm grateful," Vulcan said as he reached out to the suit's upper, his fingers lightly grazing against the House's Crest - The Sun and the Moon. "Angie, do you know what time Donna usually takes her dinner?" Vulcan said, looking back to the doll.
"In an hour or two, I wouldn't try to make too much; it all kinda tastes the same to her." Angie explained.
"What do you mean?" Vulcan asked.
"All the food is just...bland; you know, kinda tasteless but very filling for her." Angie said.
"Oh - don't worry about that. I didn't survive as long as I did on bland food and I refuse to let my mistress eat another bland meal." Vulcan said with a smirk.
"What are you planning to do, Vulcan?" Angie said with a tilt of her head.
"Oh, that would ruin the surprise but I know that she will like it. I need to get to work and you'll know when I'm done with dinner." Vulcan said as he turned back to look at his uniform.
Angie tilted her head again before she left the room, closing the door behind her. Vulcan looked at the black uniform with a smile before he placed the shirt back on the bed and began to undress.
[After Vulcan Got Dressed]
Vulcan looked in the tall mirror with pride in his new uniform - the Beneviento Family Chest proudly resting over his heart. He left his room and walked down the hall, down the stairs until he reached the ground floor; from the tour of the house given by Angie - Vulcan found the kitchen.
The Amber-Eyed Man looked around - there were a few things out of place but that was no challenge. He opened the cabinets and fridge and looked around - there were a few assortments of meats and some grains.
'I can make meat with a bread...Hm...but I need something else to add to it. Does she have any kind of veggie here?' Vulcan wondered as he continued to look around and got lucky when he found some potatoes in a sack. 'Perfect.' The red-haired man smirked as he placed all the items - except for the meat - on a clear table and got cleaning: he washed the few dishes that rested in the sink, swept the floor, wiped down the table and counters, placed any kind of box that wasn't supposed to be out in the open and placed them in a lone closet - that he had the cleanout of cobwebs and dust. Once the kitchen was clean - he jogged back to his room and opened his backpack; digging inside until he found the small wooden box he was looking for and walked back downstairs.
[Around Half An Hour Later]
Donna and Angie were talking in Donna's room - the veiled woman sat on her bed with her hands in her lap as Angie stood on the bed at her creator's right side.
"Mom, you don't have to be so nervous." Angie said as she tried to cheer her mother up.
"It's hard not to be, Angie. I hadn't seen him in years and suddenly he shows up here - he's been looking for you and me for...goodness knows how long and..." She paused for a moment as she wrapped her arms around herself - mimicking Vulcan's hug, still feeling his warmth in her bones. "The way he hugged me - not even Mother Miranda held me like that when she adopted me. It was so...comforting." Donna said in a low voice.
"I'm curious - just what is he to you, Mom?" Angie asked with a head tilt.
"Vulcan...He was the only real person who cared for me, even with the scar. He would stand by my side when others would badmouth or turn away from me; he would hold my hand to keep me grounded when I thought I was going to slip in a sobbing fit. When I introduced him to you - he was just as interested in you as I was. We were like...our own little family." Angie could hear the smile on her mother's lips.
"You loved him, didn't you?" Angie asked.
"Yes, I did." Donna said.
"Do you still love him?" Angie asked.
"I...I believe that I do but it's been so long - I never knew if he felt the same for me and I don't know if he thinks of me as a possible partner for him. I know he cared to me but..." Donna stopped in midsentence when a heavenly scent hit her nose. "Do you smell that?" Donna asked as she rose to her feet and began following the smell.
Donna and Angie followed the smell down the stairs but the longer they descended - they noticed just how clean the house began to look: pictures were dusted and wiped down, the floors appeared to be swept, mopped, and polished, there was even a pleasant smell of pine. When they made it to the ground flood - they entered the dining room and saw the table was...decorated? There was a long black tablecloth on the rectangular table with a candle holder in the center of the table - 3 candles were lit with their flames dancing to their slow beats. On the ends of the table - there were plate mats; when...when did have time to do all this? Where did he get all these items from? Donna and Angie continued to ponder until the kitchen door opened - letting the heavenly smell flood the room - as Vulcan walked out with a serving platter held by his right hand and bottle of wine in his left hand, tucked under his arm.
"Oh, Lady Beneviento and Lady Angie, I was just about to get you both for dinner." Vulcan said as he placed the serving tray, covered by a silver lip, in the center of the table before then retreated to the kitchen and returned with 2 glasses and walked over to Donna. "Please, allow me, Lady Beneviento." Vulcan said as he grabbed Donna's chair and pulled it out, waiting for Donna to sit with a smile on his face. When Donna sat in the chair, he pushed it in for her before walking over to her right and pulled out another chair for Angie; the puppet giggled before taking a seat and was pushed in behind her mother.
"Did...Did you do all of this yourself, Vulcan?" Donna asked in a low voice.
"Of course, Lady Beneviento, as the servant of House Beneviento, I must ensure my ladies and house are taken care of." Vulcan said with a smile of pride - he was happy being the servant of House Beneviento?
"We smelled something incredible on our way down here; just what were you doing in the kitchen?" Angie asked.
"I was prepared dinner for Lady Beneviento. During my travels, I came into some very interesting spices and I did jobs to make sure I had the funds to purchase spices and recipes that I thought Lady Beneviento would love. I would like to think I did this once justice but I would love my lady to tell me if I did." Vulcan said as he moved over to the tray and lifted the tray cover off the food, revealing the tinder-looking steak with toppings of garlic and herbs on top of it with some kind of sauce, a side of mashed potatoes with butter - a touch of pepper with gravy on top, and two bread buns. The smell was enough to get Donna's mouth watering and Angie's - if she had organs to eat.
Vulcan lifted one of the plates and walked over to Donna before setting it down on the plate mat before her; her utensils already on the mat, ready for use. Placing the bottle on the table, he got one of the two glasses he retrieved from the kitchen and placed it near Donna on the mat before opening the bottle of grape wine and poured a good amount for his lady to enjoy with her food. He got his plate and went to his seat before he pours himself a bottle of wine and looked at Donna with a smile.
"Please, tell me what you think, Lady Beneviento." Vulcan's eyes shined with the hopefulness that she would love it. Donna lifted her knife and fork, stabbed the steak with the fork before severing the part she stabbed with her knife. She lifted the meat to her lips, making sure to move her veil as to not touch the meat with the cloth; she took her first bite before she let out a moan of pleasure (NOT THAT KIND, YA NASTIES!).
"This...This is delicious, Vulcan." Donna said as she moved to eat more.
"I'm glad you like it, Lady Beneviento. I have lots of recipes I'm sure you'll love." Vulcan said with a wide toothy smile.
"Enough. When we are here - in House Beneviento - or when I permit you, you are to call me Donna. None of that 'Lady Beneviento' business." Donna said - if her veil was off, Vulcan would have been able to see the light blush on her face.
"As you wish...Donna." Vulcan smiled again before he began to eat his food.

Twice HC- How They Would Make Their S/O Feel Better After a Bad Day
Requested: Yup
Request: How they would make their s/o feel better after a bad day
a/u: Hey, guys! So I hope you all had a great new year and yay first post of 2021! I meant to go on a break but not posting makes me nervous so I wrote an HC for the first in over a year. I hope you guys like it, but my posts still might not be as frequent so I’m sorry about that. I love you guys!
Category: Fluff and Minor NSFW
Tumblr media
Nayeon
Nayeon would immediately notice the far off look in your eyes the second she greeted you at the door
Your usual cheerfulness was replaced with something more solemn as your smile never reached your eyes
She would immediately go into “Mom Mode” as she sat you down on the couch, and went to make you a cup of hot cocoa
Ordering take out from your guy’s favorite restaurant while she cuddled with you on the couch
By night’s end, delivery boxes littered the coffee table as your body began to feel heavy in Nayeon’s hold, “Thanks Jagi.” She would smile as she placed a kiss on your forehead, “Anything for you, Y/N-ah.”
Tumblr media
Jeongyeon (This is my favorite gif of her)
Jeongyeon tapped her foot against the cement as she checked her watch, you were late getting out of work. Which was strange since you always made a habit of not staying longer than you had to
Another five minutes passed before your disheveled form made its way out of the building, and your girlfriend immediately knew you had a bad day
You didn’t even need to say anything as she placed a kiss on your lips and began walking towards the park outside your work (coincidentally, the same park the two of you had your first date)
Jeongyeon would talk about practice and the rest of the girls to ease your mind off today, knowing she did her job when she saw the way your eyes lit up at the sight of your favorite ice cream stall
A bright smile eventually finding its way on your face as Jeong fed you small scoops of her ice cream. “You’re amazing Jeongie.” The sincerity in your voice made your girlfriend’s face scrunch up in “disgust”. “Sweet talker.” You chuckled at her words as you leaned into her. “Only for you.”
Tumblr media
Momo (This is perfect because Boo’s actually in this)
Usually it was you who would be taking care of Momo when she had a bad day. But now that the roles were reversed, she was determined to make you feel as special as you made her feel
By the sound of your voice on the phone she knew today had been rough and she wanted to make it just a bit better once you got home
So she got set with making your favorite foods for dinner. Even sending you a cute photo of herself and Boo with the caption, “We can’t wait for you to come home!”
As soon as you opened the door you were hit by the different smells of the dishes Momo had made, your mood lifting slightly as the sound of paws and feet came at you as your girlfriend wrapped you in a hug and Boo circled around your feet
The Japanese girl leading you to the dining table that was scattered with all your favorite foods. A smile broke out onto your face as you felt your heart swell, bringing her in for a kiss as you hugged her tightly. “Thank you, Momoring.”
Tumblr media
Sana (Penny for your thoughts -> What’s on your mind?)
From the way the door slammed when you came into the house, Sana could tell you were not exactly happy
Her frown deepened as you went straight for the fridge to grab a beer. It was worse than she thought, as she watched you fall back into the couch. A heavy sigh leaving your lips as you just sat there
Sana made her way next to you slowly as she noticed the way your eyebrows knitted together, “Penny for your thoughts?” You nodded, leaning into your girlfriend’s touch as she ran her fingers through your hair as you talked about your day
“Wow, I do feel better. Thanks Satang.” You whispered as you buried your face into the top of your girlfriend’s hair as she snuggled into you
“Anytime, Y/N-ah.” She whispered back, placing a kiss to the top of your hand that was intertwined with hers
Tumblr media
Jihyo
Jihyo could sense the second you walked through the door your day had not gone well, if the fact you were missing a shoe and soaking wet didn’t give any hints
You took one look at your girlfriend before sliding down to a sitting position at the front door, hitting the back of your head as you groaned, “Never tell me, ‘You should try jogging, it’s fun!’ ever again.”
The brunette bit back a smile as she came to kneel in front of you, brushing away the hair from your eyes, “Y/N, what happened?”
You looked Jihyo in the eyes as you explained how a branch had almost fallen on you, which caused you to dive into a person’s front yard, when their sprinklers turned on and their dog came out and started chasing you, then just you thought you weren’t gonna get away you threw your shoe to distract it
Jihyo concealed her laughter with a cough as she wrapped you in a hug, “My poor baby. How could I ever make it up to you?” The teasing glint in her eyes wasn’t lost to you as you smirk. “Well, I can think of a few.”
Tumblr media
Mina
Mina had noticed the far look in your eyes when you got home, but decided against prying when you offered to play a game with her on the new Switch you had gotten her for Christmas. An offer you rarely made which caused her to take it when she had it
Your girlfriend didn’t find it difficult to beat you, but after about the fifth time you loss Mina could see it was starting to become more personal than she thought
“Let’s take a break.” She offered, pausing the game so you would look at her. “No, it’s fine.” You insisted but Mina refused. “Something’s wrong Y/N. What happened today?”
You sighed as you revealed that the project you had been working on had fallen through and your months of hard work had pretty much gone down the drain. You sniffed hard, holding back your tears as Mina pulled you into a hug, “Oh, Y/N. You should have told me sooner, I’m so sorry.”
You shook your head, “It’s not your fault, my boss is just stupid.” Mina cupped your cheek, “The stupidest.” The Japanese girl’s words made a smile break out onto your face as you pressed a kiss to her lips.
Tumblr media
Dahyun
Dahyun had noticed the somber look in your eyes when you had picked her up from work. Your smile replaced by a persistent frown as you pulled into the driveway
Before you could go any farther into the house Dahyun caught your wrist in her hand, “Tell me what’s wrong Y/N.” You were about to open your mouth to protest when Dahyun held a hand up, “Save it. Just come with me.”
You shrugged as you allowed your girlfriend to drag you into the living room. Before she sat you and herself down at the piano, not saying a word as she let her hands glide up and down the keys
Your eyes closed as you let the music move you, feeling your body lighten as your girlfriend concluded her concerto. “That was amazing Dahyun-ah.” A light blush colored her cheeks as she smiled, “Thanks Jagiya. My mom used to play it to me when I wasn’t feeling too good either.”
You let her words sink in as you pressed a kiss to her cheek, “You’re too good for me.” Dahyun shook her head, as she rested her head on your shoulder, “No, you just need to realize you’re worth a lot more to me than you’ll ever know.”
Tumblr media
Chaeyoung (TW: Meantions of pet death, P/N -> Pet’s Name)
Your red eyes weren’t lost on Chaeyoung as you did your best to wipe away any stray tears that fell. The news of your family dog’s death had really hit you hard and she’d be lying if she said it hadn’t hurt her too
She had met your prized pup many times visiting your family and knew from the first few dates she had gone on with you, that your dog meant the world to you
So deciding that she was going to put what she did best to good use she went to work. Her nose buried in her sketchbook for most of the day as you left to pay your respects
It wasn’t until later that night did she see you again, a wrapped present on the table as she stayed latched to your side, “I’m so sorry about today Y/N, I know how much you loved P/N. And I made something for you.” She handed you the wrapped present, “Open it.”
You bit your lip as you pulled back the wrapping paper, gasping as you turned over the picture frame. It was a drawing of you and your dog in Chaeyoung’s style with the caption, ‘In our hearts forever.’ The sound of your tears hit the glass of the frame as you tackled your girlfriend in a hug, “I can’t thank you enough.” Chae smiled as she held you tight, “No need baby.”
Tumblr media
Tzuyu
Tzuyu knew as soon as she had stepped into the apartment something was off. And her suspicions were only confirmed when she noticed your papers had been thrown in the trash
Following the sound of sobs to your office, pushing open the door to find you curled in on yourself in your desk chair. She quickly rushed to your side as she cupped your face, using her thumbs to brush away your tears, “Hey, Y/N. It’s okay, it’s me. I’m here. What happened?”
You sniffed hard, “I got passed up, I broke my back for the bastard and they passed up my promotion.” Tzuyu frowned, she knew how hard you had been working these past few weeks, “Oh, Y/N. God, I’m so sorry. Is there anything I can do?”
You couldn’t respond as your body continued to tremble so your girlfriend opted to just hold you. Whispering sweet nothings in your ear till your breathing finally evened out. Your eyes puffy from crying as you leaned into Tzuyu’s hold
“Thank you Tzu.” Your girlfriend smiled as she placed a kiss to your forehead, “No need. I’m sure if you ever want it, we’re always looking for new managers.”

💬: i wanna lick the veins in your arms
You're sitting close to Angel, enjoying a talk with Coco, Gilly and Creeper about motorbikes, because you need to buy a new one since yours is too deteriorated. And they're the best to advise you. But for a moment, you looked at your boyfriend and noticed how much his veins are marked on his skin, because of the effort moving the heavy boxes of beer from the floor to the bar. Leaving one of them over it, he takes his phone to check the recent notification. Sideways, you can see him reading it twice before putting his eyes on you with an incredulous gesture.
Clearing your throat, trying to hide licking your bottom lip and laughing about something funny Coco said, you unlock your phone again.
💬: i wish i were those boxes so you would lift me up like that
Your boyfriend bows down his gaze to the new message, shaking his head and chuckling in silence, before keeping his phone in a pocket.
💬: ez don' ignore me
💬: i want you to fuck me wearing only your kutte
He's trying to not laugh hearing the ‘dings’, placing the beers inside the fridge under the bar. Pursing your lips, you decide to send him one of those pictures you take for him, when he has to leave Santo Padre for more than one night. And you are ready to die, when you watch him having a sip from his beer, unlocking again his phone. Spitting the drink all over the floor and drowning with his own coughs, everybody in the clubhouse turns at him.
“Eh, boy scout, you okay?” Coco asks, having a drag from his cig.
He just nods, hitting his chest with a palm trying to recover his air. Then, when everything comes back to normality, he kills you with his dark eyes frowning.
💬: im fucking wet right now
💬: stop am working
💬: and that make it funnier
💬: i can feel my skirt soaking
💬: and my pussy throbbing
You can see him cleaning his mouth with the back of his hand, leaning towards the bar and resting his forearms against the edge.
💬: look at these fingers
💬: they feel so good inside me
💬: fucking me
💬: making me cum
💬: crying your name
💬: shit ezekiel
💬: im gonna fucking kill you
💬: yeah choking me daddy
💬: hard on the pool table
💬: deep against templo's table
💬: or rough on this couch
Ezekiel rubs his face with a hand, trying to think what he can reply to you, to calm yourself. Taking a deep breath biting his lower lip by the middle of it, he looks at you smirking, crossing one leg over the other really slowly, provoking him.
💬: i can imagine how much those jeans are clenching your cock right now
💬: you wanna know something?
💬: no
💬: aint wearing nothing under this dress
His look turns to a surprised one with parted lips, perfectly watching him gulp.
💬: jeez i would love to feel you deep inside me
💬: fucking me hard till make me cry again like last night
💬: because youre so fucking thick
💬: so fucking big
💬: please stop
💬: not until you cum inside me papi
“So, what do you think about Yamaha?” Angel asks leaning against his chair.
“Yeah! I saw one in Santa Madre that… fits in what I'm looking to ride to”. You reply naturally, locking your phone and having a sip from your beer.
“The black one?” Creeper asks a little excited, pointing at you.
“Yes!” You chuckle. “We went together last saturday, and that's pretty good. The engine is a fucking monster. I really liked it, and it was, ahm…”
“Four k”. The half-mexican adds.
“Not bad. I would buy it”. Gilly says nodding.
“I probably will”. You nod then. “I'm gonna take some air, guys”.
“Okay, mami”.
Getting up from the couch and putting your dress well on, you walk towards the outside carrying your phone in a hand, and not looking at your boyfriend just to tease him a little more. You have a clear destiny with clear intentions, leading your steps through the scrap alley, until reaching EZ's roulotte. Turning on the main light, you type his number by heart and setting the speaker, so you can undress yourself in the meantime. The heat is running all over your body, feeling how it suffocates you hearing the call tones.
“Yeah...?”
“I'm naked. Sitting on your bed. With my legs opened. And you know what?”
He doesn't reply, but you can hear his shaky breath on the other side.
“My thighs are fucking wet, just like my pussy”.
“Are you…?”
“Fuck, yes…” You moan, lying on the pillow and easy sliding one finger between your warmth folds.
“Shit…”
“I know your… fingers feel better, but… oh, fuck, EZ…”
“Ju—Just… give me… give me five minutes”.
“Hurry up, baby… I'm fucking desperate”.
Your boyfriend hangs up the call and, even if you could play with yourself a little more, you decided to wait for him imagining and thinking about all the things you're going to ask him to do. Ezekiel lives to please you, as you live to please him, whenever you need each other's body. So at the moment you hear his heavy steps coming closer, you sit over your forearms with your legs opened. Coming into his roulotte, he licks his bottom lip, looking at you whilst closing the door.
“Fuck… You're gonna pay for that”. He growls rubbing the rock under his tight jeans.
“And you're gonna enjoy it, daddy”. You reply with a naughty smile on your mouth, biting your forefinger.
“Show me what you were doing, when you called me”. His voice is hoarse, and his orbs are burning in lust, resting a shoulder against the wall.
Touring your breasts down to your abdomen, you lead your right hand to your needy pussy tucking in two fingers. A soft moan escapes from your throat, pulling it back to pulling it in, once and again. Keeping a slow pace for his delight. You can feel some tickles in your low belly, with his dark eyes fixed in yours, enjoying the private show.
“Faster”. He mumbles, seeing him barely swallowing.
Moving your wrist as he demands, the pleasure intensifies and your vocals become a little higher. Taking off his kutte to leave it over the table and rolling up the sleeves of his shirt, EZ kneels on the mattress settling himself between your legs. His lips goes straight to one of your nipples, sucking and licking it with the tip of his tongue, maintaining your gaze while his huge and callous hands paw your whole body. You can't help but speed your moves, fingering yourself deeper.
“You wanna cum, baby girl?” He asks then, traveling down his thumb to stroke your swollen clit.
“Ye—Yes, daddy…” You nod using your most innocent tone of voice.
Grabbing your wrist, Ezekiel forces you to pull out your fingers, making you sob disgusted. Until you watch how he brings them to his mouth, taking into it in all their extension to lick and taste your clingy juices wrapping your skin.
“On top of me, baby girl”. He orders you, before sitting up by your side with his back against the wall.
Sitting on his lap, your lips crash against his, looking for his tongue in a pulse of dominance. Your hips are swinging over him, rubbing your clit with the rigid fabric of his jeans, finding out that your boyfriend is harder than actually looks like. You know exactly what he wants, soaking a little more his pants with every move and drowning all your moans into his mouth. While one of his hands is clinged in your ass, the other strongly slaps it making you squirm under his grip.
“C'mon, baby… fucking cum like the needy bitch you are for your daddy's cock”. He grunts, slapping you again provoking you to speed up.
“Fuck, EZ…” You almost cry with your fingers on the back of his head.
Sinking his face in your neck, you can feel his teeth biting your skin without mercy, marking his territory on you all over it. And the heat running down your abdomen, flooding in the longed-for orgasm screaming out his name, barely breathing.
“Such a dirty girl… look at the mess you made”. He smirks with that charming smile, wrapping your throat with his fingers to stand you up.
Walking backwards until your waist hits the edge of the table, he urges to sit you on, spreading your legs over his shoulders while he kneels in silence. His tongue licks your core, reaching your throbbing clit with the tip of it, catching it between his lips to suck it hard.
“Oh, fuck, daddy!” You yell out, placing both hands on his head, while his are nailed on your waist.
He's going to make you cum again, being easier with your pussy being so sensible because of the recent orgasm. His mouth devours you delighted, focused in your center with his tongue touring you completely. Moving slightly your hips by arching your back, you start a low pace riding his face, feeling the tickles of his moustache and his goatee scratching pleasantly your skin. And you don't need anything else to finally fall again between sobs and groans, biting your lower lip.
You're pretty sure that if he asks you to put on your feet, your shaky legs will not respond. And he knows it too, grabbing you by your waist and lifting you up to bring you back to the bed. Cleaning his wet mouth with a hand, he uses the other to undone his jeans.
“You said something about sucking, didn't you, ah?”
You just nod, trying to catch some air.
“Beg for it, baby girl. I know you're praying to fill your mouth with my cock”. Ezekiel says with a rough tone, taking off his shirt to throw it somewhere over the counter.
“Please, daddy…” You mutter leaning forward to kiss his pelvis, touring his sides with your nails.
“Not enough. And I can't hear you”. Tangling one hand in your hair, your boyfriend pulls you closer.
“I want you to fuck my mouth, daddy… I fucking need it… I've been thinking about it the whole day”. You say somewhat loud, while EZ pulls down his stained jeans and his boxers, freeing his hardness.
You let him stroke your lips with his reddened glans, teasing you. Until he forces them, impaling his cock against your throat and holding it in, feeling your mouth buzzing because of a soft arcade that makes him groan, closing his eyes for a second.
“Fuck, baby girl… You're so fucking warmth”.
Moving his pelvis back, he digs again his erection into your mouth, causing you the same sensation of pleasing suffocate you. His pace becomes rudely, pushing your face until your nose collides with his abdomen in an erratic and anxious dance, while your tongue licks all his extension and your lips get closed wrapping and making some pressure. One of your hands is fixed on his lower back, using the other to stroke his balls between your fingers, slightly squeezing them. EZ's moans flood the roulotte, knowing whoever is walking closer can hear how good you're sucking his cock, figuring out why he left the clubhouse so quickly.
“Fuck, baby girl… look how you take it all… shit”. Leaning back his head, he holds yours with both hands taking a step towards you, to pound your throat again. “I want you to put in four, right now”.
You obey without complaining and knowing how he likes it, you kneel before lying down your chest over the bed. Your legs perfectly spreaded for his delight, feeling the mattress sink slightly behind you some seconds after. What you aren't expecting is to hear a soft buzz coming closer, before feeling the cold metallic vibrator clenching your back hole, while EZ rubs his wet glans on your pussy. The wall of your ass molds itself around the small toy, producing a nice vibrating roaming your anatomy.
“EZ… Fuck, EZ”. You whimper, sinking your face between your arms. “Please… Please, fuck me… I fucking beg you, daddy”.
Make you cry because of the pleasure is his new favorite thing in the world, since he discovered it. And you're aware that he's going to do it again. Slowly sliding his cock among your lips, nailing his hands on your waist, he lies down over your back enjoying how wet you are yet. Pulling your hair aside and pressing his hardness to your limits, you can feel his lips gently kissing your nape.
“You're a delight for me, mi amor”. He whispers into your ear, softly sobbing at him, moving your ass to look for any touch. “I'm gonna fuck you so hard, that you will have to call tomorrow to your boss, 'cause you won't be able to walk”.
Leaning back, he almost pulls out his cock, to push it inside you again with all his strength. His thrusts become hard and deep, hitting you without mercy and without any intention to stop. You're fully filled up, rolling your eyes and screaming his name, as only he could do. Loud and clear. Pleading for more every time he impales you, crashing his pelvis on your buttocks. His desire increases, bewitched with the wet melody that your pussy produces in every move he does. He will never complain about the dirty situations you put him in, loving that confidence of asking for whatever you want him to do. You have known each other since one year ago, and feel like you have known each other since ever.
“Harder, daddy…” You beg him almost crying, with the vibrator wreaking havoc in your body.
“My dirty baby girl… You're fucking insatiable”. He laughs for a second with a deep tone of voice, after tangling one of his huge hands in your hair to pull it back.
Making you kneel over your shared bed, you feel how the toy gets somewhat in, loudly moaning because of that. Wrapping your throat with his hand, the other travels down your abdomen easily finding your clit. The rapturous pounds don't stop, killing you because of the pleasure hitting your body, once and again.
“Oh, fuck, daddy… I fucking love it… I love your cock, daddy… You fuck me so good, like no one before”. You cry out, noticing how your gaze begins to be a little blurred because of the tears stuck in them. “Please… make me cum again, please, daddy”.
Your fingers surround his forearms, nailing himself into you, feeling your walls pressing his sensitive skin about to fall into the edge.
“I wanna see your face, baby girl”. He mutters against your neck with a broken thread of voice, biting it and provoking you the imperious need to take a deep breath, drowning another loud moan.
Pulling out his cock, complaining about the emptiness, he turns you over the bed to place your legs on his shoulders, curling them to your chest. His right hand comes back to your throat, while the other is placed in one of your thighs, squeezing it under his grip. And he pounds you harder, knowing how close both are to cum, seeing the tears of pleasure running down your cheeks, with your heart racing inside your chest. It doesn't take you much more, when your anatomy begins to softly shake while the lash of heat drives your body straight to the orgasm. Again, you're crying as he was expecting, watching the satisfactory and proud smile getting drawn on his lips, a second before filling you up with his seed. The pleased howl echoes inside the roulotte, collapsing over you and pressing his pelvis against your pussy as much as he can, feeling the soft buzz in his balls. You're trembling inevitably, when his lips find yours to devour your mouth in a filthy kiss, letting you know that the night just started.
“Fuck, EZ…” You cry biting your bottom lip, surrounding his neck with both arms.
“Hold it a little… more, baby girl… It feels so fucking good”. He gasps with his fingers nailed on your thighs, pushing them to his own body.
“Fuck…”
“I have to… come back to work”. Your boyfriend whispers, touching your nose with his. “I want you to rest, because I will… fuck, seriously… it feels so fucking good, mi amor”.
Much for his regret, he has to pull down his semi-erection and the toy inside your ass, getting up from the bed while you cross your legs with both hands over your pussy; pressing it and trying to calm the throbs in your clit.
“I will be back in an hour”. He just says, looking for a clean pair of jeans, taking off the one he's wearing yet. “And I will fuck you again, baby”.
You're already counting the minutes left, trying to sit up over the mattress, cleaning your tears with the sheets watching him changing his clothes.
“I love you”. Your boyfriend says, once he's ready to let you rest, leaning towards you to slowly kiss your lips with his hand caressing your chin.
“I love you, EZ”. You mumble, showing him a soft smile drawn on your lips.

What Ifs, Part 3 || Jeff Skinner
Tumblr media
Requested: [ ] yes [x] no
Authors Note: I’ve been trying to write this part for at least six months so it feels good to finally get it finished. Hope you’re ready for some fluffy Christmas content in April, and a boatload of sexual tension and some idiocy. Set Fri/Sat Dec. 13th/14th. See next post & 010 tag for Jeff’s apartment inspiration and the Christmas tree inspiration.
For a quick recap: You met Jeff at a spillway in northern PA and met up with him at a beach in Erie a few days later. After that daily conversation ensued and he visited you to go to a college football game before you surprised him at a Pens/Sabres game he didn’t think you were coming to. He kissed you postgame and murmured that he would very much like to fuck you after you teased him as he headed to the team bus.
Warnings: sexual tension ||  Word Count: 5,472
~~~~~~
Light snowflakes were falling, landing on your car’s windshield and then quickly melting. Christmas music played softly over the radio, while you followed your phone’s navigation through the streets of Buffalo, New York. There was just something about Christmastime that caused little bubbles of joy and excitement to course through your entire body. Those bubbles grew two sizes larger when you thought about the week ahead.
It had been a month and a half since you’d seen Jeff in the bowels of PPG Paints Arena, had felt his arms wrapped around you, felt the press of his lips against yours. Since then, you hadn’t been able to get those brief moments out of your head. Though you talked with Jeff basically every day, and your conversations had become more intimate, you hadn’t talked about the fact that he’d kissed you and you certainly hadn’t talked about his declaration that he would indeed like to fuck you. Finally though, after a month and a half, you were less than 12 hours away from seeing him face-to-face once more.
Pulling into his apartment’s parking garage, you gathered the trash you’d accumulated during the six-hour drive before climbing out of the car, stretching out your body. You’d finished your last final this morning and per Jeff’s request had immediately packed up before hitting the road. You’d be asleep when he got in from tonight’s road game, but when you woke he’d be there and that was more than enough motivation to not delay your trip until tomorrow.
Throwing your trash into your purse to take inside, you gathered the rest of your bags and locked your car. Stepping into the apartment complex’s lobby, you stopped at the doorman/security officer’s desk. Two minutes later, you had a key in hand along with a note and were directed to press the button for the fifteenth floor in the elevator. Stepping off the elevator, you searched for the right apartment, stopping in front of it with a sigh. Setting your bag down, you fumbled with the key for a moment but as soon as the door swung open you couldn’t help but smile. Though it was clearly a bachelor’s apartment, the atmosphere was immediately calming, something you very much needed after a long day.
Setting your bags down, you slipped your shoes off and made your way into the kitchen where you leaned yourself against the counter to read Jeff’s note. His scratchy script urged you to make yourself at home, rambled about how excited he was to see you, insisted that you use the money he’d left on the counter to order dinner, and left channel information for the television so that you could watch the game. Just above the scrawled Jeff, his final sentence brought a warm flush to your cheeks.
The guest bedroom is all yours if you want...but I’d love nothing more than to come home to you in my bed.
You’d shared a bed before, but that was prior to the not so innocent encounter you’d had in Pittsburgh. Still, something pushed you to carry your things down the hall, past what you assumed was the guest room and into what was clearly the master suite. Leaving them on the bed to deal with later, you returned to the main living space of the apartment, taking a few minutes just to wander around. Jeff had pictures of his family on shelves by the tv which was hung on the wall above a gas fireplace. Looking out the window, you could see the arena just a few blocks away and couldn’t help but laugh knowing Jeff hated long commutes. Turning back to the apartment’s interior, you noted that his large sofa looked warm and comfortable, and he certainly had a chef’s kitchen even if he was no chef. As promised, there were a pair of twenty-dollar bills tucked under a fruit bowl on the island and you decided maybe it was time for dinner since it was nearly seven o’clock.
After searching for local restaurants you decided that game food sounded good and so you placed an order for chicken strips, mozzarella sticks, pretzel sticks, and deep-fried cheesecake for dessert.  Since Jeff had threatened you not to even think about paying for the food yourself you complied and noted that you were paying with cash. With food on its way, you moved to try and figure out Jeff’s tv, settling it onto the channel for the game, pregame programming already playing.
It wasn’t long before Jeff’s face came across the screen and immediately your heart fluttered. It was silly because you watched Jeff’s games all the time (at least when they didn’t conflict with the Penguins), but for some reason watching it while sitting in Jeff’s apartment felt different. Just before puck drop, you got the alert that your food was downstairs so after slipping on some shoes, you grabbed the cash and key and made your way down to get it.
With dinner spread out across the coffee table, you got yourself a glass of water and settled in on Jeff’s couch. About midway through the first period, he snuck the puck through the goalie’s legs and into the back of the net causing you to let out a cheer. Just before the end of the second, he buried another puck past the goalie to give the Sabres a two-goal lead. Watching Jeff play so well made a content smile settle onto your face as you cleaned up your leftovers and trash before snuggling under the blanket that was tossed over the back of the couch. With your eyes occasionally fluttering shut, you missed what preceded the tussle Jeff was currently in with a player on the opposing team. Immediately anxiety filled your body, but soon you watched as Jeff was led to the penalty box appearing no worse for wear as he continued to chatter away.
By the time the game ended, you had already started to fall asleep on the couch, so you decided it was time to head to bed, tidying up before locking the front door and retreating to Jeff’s bedroom. There you changed into pajamas before setting your suitcase on a chair in the corner. Brushing your teeth and washing your face was all you needed to do in the bathroom and after plugging your phone in, you flipped off the lights and tugged the covers back climbing into bed. Soon, with your body sinking into the comfortable mattress, you were out like a light.
___
“Shh, it’s just me…go back to sleep.” You heard whispered as you stirred. You had no idea what time it was, but as the bed shifted beside you, part of you realized that Jeff had arrived home. Unconsciously, you shifted toward him and a warm set of arms draped around your waist as you settled your head against his shoulder and dozed right back off.
When you actually awoke, the room was filled with the faintest morning light. It was only then that you processed the fact that your entire body was tangled with Jeff’s, pressed tightly against him. Your head was still on his shoulder, your bodies touching from your chests to your hips, and your legs were entwined with his. Your mind raced to figure out how to best extract yourself when you felt Jeff’s chest vibrate under you.
“Morning.” He murmured, his voice groggy. Lifting your head, you glanced up to see that his eyes were still filled with sleep and he had a sleepy smile on his face as he gazed right back down at you.
“Morning…” You whispered back, shifting the hand that had been curled against Jeff’s chest to run through your hair.
“Sorry if I woke you coming in last night…” Jeff said, yawning softly.
“I don’t think you did…” You whispered. “I don’t actually remember you climbing into bed.”
“Then it was just your body that noticed.” Jeff teased. “Because you shifted to cuddle me immediately.” A warmth crept over your cheeks but Jeff’s smile only grew, still lazy and soft due to the early morning hour. “Was kinda nice,” Jeff explained with a small shrug. “Told you I wasn’t going to complain if you chose my bed.” He continued, his lips dropping to press gently against your forehead.
After stretching slightly, you finally dropped your arm back to Jeff’s torso, your fingers grazing against his abdomen. A low groan slipped from his lips and he moved his hand to lace his fingers with yours.
“As much as I wanna stay here…” He mumbled. “Want you to keep touching me.” He added under his breath. “We should probably get up before I have an even bigger problem.” This time when your eyes met his, they were a shade darker than just a minute ago and your saliva caught in your throat at what he was implying.
“Mmmm...yeah…” You agreed, working to extract your body from his. “I um...I’m gonna use the guest bathroom real quick...do you have stuff for breakfast in your fridge?” Jeff’s expression was unreadable as he watched you climb from bed, making your way towards the hallway door.
“I’m sure we can find something.”
___
By the time Jeff made his way out into the kitchen, you had managed to find a package of pancake mix and some bacon and eggs in his fridge and were hard at work making breakfast. Without saying a word, Jeff moved to start some coffee before taking over the skillet with the eggs from your hands.
“Let me help.” He chided. With the two of you working side by side, it didn’t take long to have breakfast made and once it had been served onto plates, Jeff paused, pulling you into his arms. “I haven’t had a proper hug yet.” He explained, almost whiny about it. Settling your arms around his waist, you returned his hug, enjoying the feeling of his arms around you. “So glad you’re here.” Jeff declared, kissing your head once more before pulling away.
Settled at his kitchen island you ate breakfast in comfortable silence. When you were finished, Jeff took your dishes and loaded them into the dishwasher. As he did so your eyes raked over his body, dressed only in sweats and a t-shirt. He was so attractive that you had to force yourself to look away before he caught you staring.
“So what’s the plan for today?” You murmured, not sure what exactly he had in mind since you’d let him plan pretty much everything. “Or I guess I should ask about today and the rest of this week?” You added, realizing that beyond the fact that he had one home and one away game, you had no idea what his schedule was like.
Jeff turned to lean against the counter across from you as he responded, his smile bright and eyes twinkling.
“I thought maybe today you could help me decorate?” He suggested. “We have the day off so I’m all yours. Then tomorrow we just have practice so I was thinking you could play tourist for a bit and then we could go out for dinner, maybe introduce you to Jack or some of the other guys.” After laying out his thoughts for weekend plans, Jeff paused for a moment to let you respond, and when you simply nodded he continued. “Monday we play at home, I already have your game ticket. Tuesday is a quick up and back to Toronto, we’re literally flying up in the morning and back after the game. I think a few of the guy’s girls are going if you have your passport on you and would be interested, but no pressure there if you want to stay here and veg for a day.” Warmth flooded through you at Jeff’s acknowledgement that this trip could be a lot and that if you needed some quiet time during it that was more than okay. At the same time though you couldn’t help but feel slightly overwhelmed at fact that he wanted you to meet his teammates and their significant others.
Jeff pulled his lower lip between his teeth and his fingers rubbed at his neck before he spoke once more. “And then uh...Wednesday we have our team Christmas stuff, an official organization family skate in the morning and then Jack is hosting just the team and dates to his place for the evening…”
“Oh uh…” You breathed, having no idea that all of that was going on while you’d be here. Sensing that your brain was spinning away from you, Jeff rounded the island.
“But uh...we can talk about that later. I don’t have to go if you don’t want to. Let’s just see how things play out okay?” He offered and when his fingers laced with yours you found yourself nodding. “Good…” Jeff breathed. “I just want you to enjoy being here.” His concern, the way his eyes spilled over you, it all made you want to shiver in the best way.
“So...decorating?” You mused, bringing your mind back to focus on the day ahead instead of dwelling on everything else and the weight all of it held.
“Yep...go get dressed.” Jeff prodded, lifting you off of the stool with ease and placing you on your feet. His show of strength sent a spark through you and you nodded, retreating back to the bedroom to dig through your bag for clothes. Fifteen minutes later, you had pulled on a pair of jeans, a snuggly sweater, warm socks, and had done a really light coat of makeup before sliding into your tennis shoes and grabbing your coat.
“Ready?” Jeff inquired from his spot on the couch in the living room.
“Yep.” You replied, taking in Jeff’s similar outfit and the way it clung to his form. Sliding your phone into your pocket and grabbing your wallet, you followed him down to the garage, sliding into the passenger seat of his SUV with just a little help. Once he had pulled the car out onto the downtown Buffalo streets, his hand fell to rest over yours and you looked over at him, biting your lip at how natural the warmth of his palm felt.
With Christmas music playing over his car’s speakers, the drive was quiet and almost a bit stifling. Then Jeff murmured once more that he was really glad you were here and the way he glanced over at you told you that he meant that with everything in him.
“I’m glad I’m here too.” You replied, heart fluttering a bit no matter how much you tried to control it. Jeff drove out of the city and into the surrounding suburbs before pulling into the parking lot of a Walmart. When he parked, you climbed out, dropping down onto the pavement before meeting him at the rear of the vehicle.
“And here I thought you were taking me somewhere more exciting than a Walmart.” You joked softly, bumping your shoulder into his arm. Jeff’s cheeks turned a little pink as he walked beside you into the store.
“I figured we’d get the ornaments and garland and everything first and then head to the tree farm to pick the tree.” He explained rubbing the back of his neck. “I don’t really have any decorations here.” He mumbled under his breath causing you to look up at him curiously. “I’m fairly close to home, usually traveling, and haven’t really had a reason to decorate before.” He shrugged. You nodded, letting him grab a cart as you followed him into the store. In the back of your mind you couldn’t help but focus on his words though. Neither of the first two points had changed all that much so was the driving factor the third...and if so was that reason you? Though you wondered, you didn’t ask, instead just pushing it to the back of your mind once more.
Being that it was already mid-December, the Christmas section of the store was fairly well decimated and you watched Jeff’s eyes go wide as if he didn’t expect that. Giggling to yourself, you moved over to the rack of tree lights which was mostly empty but still had a few boxes of both white and colored left.
“What color lights do you prefer?” You asked him softly knowing that was as good a place as any to start. Jeff looked at you like he honestly had no idea so you grabbed the remaining few boxes of white lights, tossing them into the cart he was pushing.
“I didn’t expect everything to be gone.” He whispered softly as he pushed the cart down the empty aisles. There was one container of white glass ornaments tucked onto the back of a shelf but otherwise there really wasn’t much of anything.
“Jeff it’s mid-December.” You murmured back leaning against the cart. Sensing his distress you rested your hand over his. “Is there a Michael’s nearby?” You asked, pulling out your phone to check when he didn’t seem to know the answer. Finding one about fifteen minutes down the road, you grabbed the container of white balls since they’d go with anything, a box of ornament hooks, and you then urged Jeff to head to check out with your meager findings.
Back at the car, you plugged the address into his GPS and squeezed his hand assuring him that Michael’s would have plenty of decorations left for him to choose from. It didn’t take long to drive to the craft store and when you led Jeff inside this time you couldn’t help but laugh at the expression on his face at seeing aisles upon aisles of Christmas and other decorations. Starting in the aisle full of ornaments, you asked him what he liked and what kind of aesthetic he wanted for his tree.
For a moment he just looked back and forth like this was too many options before finally pointing to some wooden carved ornaments and how those looked kind of cool. Finally getting somewhere, you smiled and pulled a few of each design off the hooks setting them into the cart. After suggesting various colors of ornaments which received faces with varying degrees of dislike, you finally picked up a container of dark green balls and a pondering face crossed Jeff’s face.
“Forest green with the white balls from Walmart and the wood?” You reminded him trying to get him to picture how it would all look together.
“Do you think it would look good?” He asked and when you nodded he offered his hand out for the container to put it into the cart. Spotting a similar container that was just a little smaller with silver balls, you grabbed those as well putting them into the cart and shrugging at his questioning glance.
“You need at least a little bit of sparkle. So just a little metallic.” You insisted. Deciding that should be sufficient ornament wise, you moved down the aisles to find something that would serve as a nice garland and fit with the aesthetic Jeff seemed to like. A few aisles over you found strings of wooden balls and you showed Jeff before adding them to the cart. Then you disappeared into the depths of the store before coming back with wide-width forest green velvet ribbon which would give the decorations just a little bit more depth.
Jeff just watched you maneuver through the store before asking if you had everything you needed. For a moment you nodded but as you made your way to the check out, you spotted pine cones and added a container of those as well knowing that would be the perfect finishing touch.
“Oh…we need a tree topper too.” You said, stopping out of nowhere right in front of the cart before tugging him off in the direction of the toppers before picking out a simple but pretty silver star to go on top.
“Now are we done?” Jeff asked, though his expression was one of amusement not annoyance. Pausing for a moment to look over what was in the cart, you then nodded finally letting him go check out with all of your goodies. It was going to be a pretty tree, well once you actually picked out a tree.
As Jeff unloaded the cart, you noticed that he had picked up a few small wreaths. One was just plain and you weren’t sure what he had in mind for that but the other was simple but pretty and perfect for a door and the command hook he unloaded alongside of it suggested that he’d thought the same thing. There was also a tree stand which was probably going to be helpful, and a white faux fur tree skirt.
It didn’t take long for Jeff to pay for all of the decorations before grabbing the bags and guiding you back out into the cold weather to the car. Shivering slightly from the wind, you tugged your coat tighter around you as you climbed into the passenger seat again, reaching for the seatbelt.
Within just a few minutes of Jeff starting the car though, you were warm from head to toe and you realised he’d turned the seat warmer on for you. While you were still in a fairly commercial neighborhood, Jeff pulled into a Starbucks drive-thru and ordered warm beverages for the next part of your day. From there he drove even further away from the city and you watched the northern New York countryside pass by your window unsure of whether the warmth you were feeling was solely emanating from the seat and beverage or from the way Jeff made you feel.
As you drove farther into the countryside, a light snow covered the ground and trees making everything look that little bit prettier. Seeing the tree farm up ahead you couldn’t help but bounce a little in your seat because this was something you’d never done before. Your family has always had an artificial tree so you’ve never picked out a real one before.
Following Jeff because he clearly knew what he was doing in this regard, you moved through the rows of trees behind him, eyes wide at just how many there were.
“Have you seen any you’ve liked?” Jeff asked, popping up behind you somehow after a few minutes.” Jumping a little you smacked his arm gently for scaring you.
“I don’t know what I’m supposed to be looking for…” You murmured. “It’s your tree.” You reminded, shrugging your shoulders after sticking your hands back in your pockets because it was cold. Jeff’s chuckle filled your ears and he reached to pull one of your hands out of your pocket, tucking it into his own as he led you down the row of trees pointing out a couple that he liked. Reading his body language, you urged him that the one he really liked but wouldn’t say so was the one and after that he handed you the keys, kissing your temple and telling you to go warm up while he got the tree paid for, cut down, and loaded up.
From the car you watched as, with the help of the lot’s employee, Jeff loaded the tree up onto the top of the SUV and got it tied down. Soon after that you were off to head back into the city Jeff asking what you wanted for lunch since it was already that time of day.
“I can just make something when we get back.” You assured him, not minding cooking for the two of you. Jeff murmured back that he didn’t invite you here to cook for him all week and you sighed softly replying that you didn’t come up expecting to not do anything all week either and that you could handle a few meals. A moment later he nodded, deciding that this wasn’t something worth going back and forth over and he turned his attention back to the road as the city loomed in front of you once more.
Having reached the garage of his building once more, you moved to grab as many shopping bags as you could so that you could get them inside and ready to decorate the tree which you weren’t quite sure how Jeff was going to get inside and up to the fifteen floor as you had a feeling it was too tall for the elevator.
You realized Jeff had come to this same conclusion moments after you did when he cursed under his breath.
“Let me get all the breakable decorations upstairs and then I can come help you with the tree?” You suggested. Jeff seemed to agree but when you came back down, he was carrying the tree with the help of the building’s doorman, brushing off your help and just asking you to go wait on his floor to open the stairway door.
Shaking your head to yourself, you took the elevator back up not envying the poor doorman helping Jeff to carry a tree up fifteen flights of stairs. At the top, you waited for them, holding the door up when they approached and then moving to hold the apartment door open as well before moving out of the way as they leaned the tree against a wall. While Jeff talked to him, you retreated into the kitchen to try and figure out what to make for lunch, deciding to make up a quick stir fry because that wouldn’t take long after defrosting some chicken in the microwave.
You were grabbing some things from his freezer and searching for another pan when Jeff appeared behind you making you jump again.
“You gotta stop that.” You chastised, looking over your shoulder at him. “And I hope you are going to do something nice for your poor doorman.” You added teasing, nodding when Jeff assured you that he was getting him game tickets and a signed jersey. When he asked if he could help you shook your head telling him that he should go figure out where he wanted to put the tree and get it set up so that you could start decorating after lunch.
“Alright, just holler if you need something.” He agreed before moving back around the island to the living room leaving you to navigate his kitchen to make up a quick lunch. By the time you had all your ingredients ready, the chicken was defrosted and you put it into the pan with just a little bit of water to start cooking, adding in the vegetables shortly after that. When everything was looking good and ready, you added in the stirfry sauce and added the rice to the small pot of water you had brought to a boil.
Within 20 minutes you were serving lunch onto plates and calling Jeff to come eat, laughing at how he was struggling with the tree. Moving to lend him an extra set of hands quickly, you managed to help him get the tree into the base and secured so that it would stand on its own. Repeating that food is ready, you smile at how flushed his cheeks are before moving back into the kitchen teasing that now you understand why he’s never decorated before.
Getting ice from the icemaker you didn’t hear him say that he never had anyone worth decorating for, though those words would have brought tears to your eyes if you had.
___
After lunch you let Jeff finish up the dishes while you worked on pulling all the decorations out of their bags. With everything laid out, you turned some Christmas music on from your phone to set the mood again.
When Jeff came in he turned on his gas fireplace and taking a strand of lights you’d already plugged in and checked from you, he started to wrap the lights amongst the branches working his way from the bottom of the tree up. It was almost seamless, the rhythm you settled into with you checking the lights and unwinding them before Jeff took them to continue wrapping around the tree until it was fully lit once plugged in.
“It already looks pretty.” You grinned signaling to him that he’d done good work with the lights.
Jeff just smiled that bright smile back and you reached to open one of the containers of ornaments while also grabbing the box of hooks. Again, the two of you took turns putting hooks on the ornaments and handing them to each other, making sure that each color and type was dispersed evenly around the tree. As you hung one of the wooden ornaments toward the middle of the tree you felt Jeff press up behind you, hanging a silver ball above your head. The heat of his body made you shiver and as he pulled away his hand slid along your waist as he steadied himself. You didn’t say anything for a moment before asking him to hand you one of the green balls.
Jeff pressed against you from behind twice more while tucking pinecones up into the branches of the tree and he slid against you while passing to grab the ribbon to drape around it. Each time he did so, a jolt sparked through your body, but that little voice in the back of your mind insisted that he didn’t mean it like that. Focusing on draping the wood garland so that it was spaced opposite the ribbon, you didn’t see Jeff’s eyes rake over your body or the way they softened as you hummed along to the Christmas carols. When everything was finally on the tree you reached to hand him the star to top it off insisting that he do it since it’s his tree.
For a moment Jeff hesitated before he reached to set the star on top before stepping back to admire the tree with you for a moment before you shifted it back toward the wall and got it plugged in, adding water into the base now that it wasn’t going to be moved anymore. The final step was adding the skirt around the base which Jeff insisted you do since you were already down there with the water. Once that was done, you smiled at how pretty it looks and hugged him from the side declaring that it looked worthy of a magazine.
Cleaning up the packaging, you watched as Jeff moved to hang the one wreath on his door while the other was placed under the fruit bowl in the center of his island with pinecones and a small green and white ornament tucked into it.
“Good work Mr. Skinner.” You grinned, washing your hands from the pine so that any pollen didn’t irritate your eyes. “Your apartment is ready for Christmas now.” His dimple was showing and his eyes flashed with something you didn’t understand as you peeked over at him suggesting that they watch a Christmas movie since they were done decorating.
Jeff agreed and you settled onto the couch handing him the remote as he pulled your feet into his lap before draping the throw blanket over your legs. After checking for your approval, he settled on Elf and you couldn’t help but smile as he quoted along to the movie.
Pausing after one movie to order dinner in and eat, you settled back in, bellies full, this time putting on the first Santa Clause. Instead of sitting like you had before, this time you sat next to him, leaning into the same space. When his thumb dropped down to brush against your inner thigh part way through the movie you felt a buzz form low in your core that didn’t stem from the bottle of wine you’d shared with dinner.
Jeff seemed to have no idea of what he was doing nor any idea the effect it was having on you. Yawning slightly, you murmured that you were going to go use his bathroom to shower if that was okay. You weren’t really paying attention to the movie anyway and you needed a moment to breathe. You’d thought that things with Jeff were different than they had been before Pittsburgh, but he hadn’t made a move or anything so maybe you were wrong. Either way there was no way you were going to stay sane with the pressure of his thumb against that part of your body.
Tonight, when Jeff slid into bed beside you, you were going to keep some distance. As much as your body wanted to be close to his, it was for the best because there was no way you were going to make it through a week here with him if you didn’t, even if he was your best friend.
"Let me in, Edwards." Hastings continued to bang on the door.
"No," I called back at him. "I don't want to spend another night in your bed. Never. Ever." Back braced against the wood.
"Don't lie. You'll make the baby Jesus cry."
"Shut up, Hastings." I turned, fingers digging into the wood grain as I stood on my tippy-toes watching him. There he was out in the hallway, one arm resting on the other side of the door, his teeth showing as he laughed all too easily at his own dumb joke. "I'm not opening the door, so you may as well leave." He rolled his eyes, looking at the peephole. "I'm serious." He stood there for a minute, contemplating the options I'd given him.
"Fine." He pushed away from the door. "Have it your way." and then he was gone, disappearing down the hallway.
"Alone again, finally." I pushed myself away and walked back into my kitchen, where my frozen meal sat on the cutting board. I'd been reading the directions before Hastings had so rudely interrupted me. "Heat on high for ten minutes… ten minutes." I picked the box up and looked at it. "You're supposed to be easy and quick!" I cried at it as if it had the ability to apologise for the disgusting amount of time I was going to have to wait for it to heat up.
"I am sorry about this." I heard Hastings voice from the hallway. "Forgot my key again." Jude Hastings says what now?
"It's not a problem, Jude. I'm just happy you and Darcy finally got over your issues." The voice of my too sweet, too kind, too naive landlady Patricia Gregson cooed at Hastings. "And what you have planned for the night, It's the least I can do after the effort you've gone through." Was the last she said before the door swung open.
"Honey, I'm home." My own personal demon smirked, stepping into my house. My domain. He was not allowed in my house. "What are you doing there? I told you I was taking you to my apartment for a special dinner." He walked in like he owned the place.
"Hi Darcy, sweetheart." Patricia waved from the hallway. "I was just telling Jude here how happy I am for the two of you." She smiled happily. "If my Colin was around to see you two now." She shook her head, her eyes glazing over to another time. She pulled herself back, shaking her head, looking at both Jude and I. "He'd be so happy to see this. We always knew you'd wind up together."
Oh, Patricia. If only you knew.
"Yeah." I nodded my head, unable to break her heart. "It's a shock to us all." I walked over to where he stood and slung an arm around his waist. "Thanks for letting him in." I smiled through gritted teeth. "I must have been in the bathroom when he was knocking."
"You've been peeing a lot lately." Hastings looked down at me. "When was your last period? You don't think-"
"I better be off, lots to do." Patricia reached in and grabbed the door handle, quickly pulling it shut behind her. When I'm sure she was gone, I pushed Hastings away from me, shoving him hard.
"Are you out of your mind?"
"What?"
"What?" I mimicked his stupid voice. "You just insinuated to my landlady that I am with child, you absolute dickhead."
"Sorry." He snorted.
"Sorry?"
"Yeah, sorry." He turned away and started to look through my house. "You packed your bag yet?"
"You know I haven't." I sighed.
"Well, go pack one." He put his hands on his hips, his shirt lifting as he moved to reveal the slither of flesh that I have a distinct memory of running my tongue across last night.
"Look, Hastings… Tonight really isn't a good night." I ran a hand through my hair. "I have to be at work early tomorrow, and it's just… I don't know how ready I'll be to teach a group of kids if I don't wake up in my own bed, and I'm still tense from a sleepless night lying beside you." I admitted. "I know what the whole game is, but I don't know if I can play tonight-"
"Darcy." He stopped me mid-speech. "Don't worry about the game. Your job's more important." He pointed through to where my bedroom was visible. "Besides, your bed looks comfortable, so I don't mind. I'll sleep here." He shrugged, walking into the small kitchen. "We'll order some food because that looks like unappealing crap… watch a movie, and then I'll woo you to death." I watched him. For the first time in a long time, I watched Jude Hastings rifle through the assortment of take away menu's I had hanging on the fridge. His body looked abnormally large in the small kitchen. "Aha." He cheered when he found a menu he liked. "Chinese." For the first time in a long time, all I could think was maybe this wouldn't be the worst night ever.
"What are you doing."
"Ordering us Chinese." He waved the menu. "Still a fan of chow mien?"
"You remember?"
"You ate it every Friday for a year." He winked. "And I have a good memory."
"I see your good at self-encouragement."
"It's not the only thing I'm good at." He smirked, holding his phone to his ear. "I'm also good at rescuing a damsel in distress from a microwave meal."
"I'm not going to sleep with you again, Hastings." I walked to the fridge and pulled out a bottle of wine, grabbing the nearby glasses. "So this whole thing, the hot guy coming to order Chinese food with his dreamy bedroom eyes… It won't work."
"You think I have dreamy bedroom eyes?" He gave a lopsided grin. "Hi yes," He spoke into the phone. "Can I order a delivery please." I tuned him out as I poured the two glasses of white wine and sat down at the small island bench. I wasn't even sure if he drank wine, but it was open, and I wasn't one to waste alcohol. "It'll be about fifteen-twenty minutes."
"Okay." I passed the second glass of wine to him, taking a large sip of my own.
"Can I tell you a secret?"
"Only if it's a good one I don't want anything subpar." He moved, sitting beside me on the second chair. His glass of wine clanking against the bench as he moved. He leaned in, his free hand brushing hair behind my ear, teasingly slow.
"If you think I was giving you bedroom eyes before." He chuckled lowly, head dipping so our eyes were level, the very tip of his nose bushing mine. "Then you won't believe what it's like when I really give you bedroom eyes."
"You think you're so smooth, don't you."
Part of me really wanted to see those bedroom eyes, the other part of me knew that I may not have the will to not sleep with him again if I did.
"I don't, actually." He pulled away slightly. "But I'm trying to win your heart, and your beautiful, so I'm going to tell you."
"Are you drunk?"
"No." I leant an elbow on the counter, laying my head in my hand looking up at him. "And tomorrow morning, I'm still going to be sober, and you." He shook his head, looking up to the ceiling. "You… You are still going to be beautiful." Am I imagining this, or is THE Jude Hastings giving me a compliment.
"Woe." I couldn't help the smile that came to my face. A big smile, one that felt like it was the first genuine smile I'd had in years. "You really are a smooth, smooth man Hastings."
"Why do you never call me Jude?"
"Why do you hardly call me Darcy."
"Because you call me Hastings all the time."
"I only call you Hastings because—"I stumbled. "I don't know I've just always called you Hastings." I sat up, pulling one of my knees up into my chest. "Who knows, maybe one day I'll call you Jude."
"I think my heart would stop if you ever did that,"
"How do you think the town is taking the news of our epic romance?"
"Well, I checked the obituaries this morning, so far we haven't shocked anyone to death yet."
"So you're saying we've failed." I laughed. "A day of pretending to be a couple and no one has rolled over and died?" I gasped.
"Maybe that means that we need to step it up, huh?"
"Flattering, but I am not interested."
"Honeybird," Another new nickname? Calm down Edwards. "You looked me in the eye a little too long to not be interested in me."
"You're really trying this aren't you." I waved a finger between us.
"Trying what?"
"To get me to fall in love with you." A smile pulled on his lips, not his usual asshole smirk, but a genuine smile, the one that to make butterflies launch themselves all around my stomach.
"It'd be an honour to have the Darcy Alice Edwards fall in love with me, so I'm going to give it my all."
"As it would be an honour to break your heart, Jude Alexander Hastings."
"So you do know how to say my name." He sat back, arms crossing over his chest as he looked me feigning shock. "I'm also going to need you to tell Sato that Fredrick isn't my real middle name."
"No." I began to pick at the hem of my nightgown, thankful he'd given me a Segway comment from the conversation that was getting all too serious too fast. "I don't think I can do that,"
"What is the obsession."
"With?"
"Telling people I have that heinous name as any part of me?"
"I like the idea of all these girls being so enraptured by Jude Hastings, picturing themselves as Mrs Jude Hastings, then having that dream crash and burn around them when they think that your middle name is Fredrick… I mean the name isn't exactly a turn-on." I shrugged. Hastings watched me for a moment, studying me as if this was the first time he, a male, had ever come in contact with me, a female.
"You really are evil." His hand stretched out, his fingers tapping against my temple gently. "This brain in here, it was made for terrible, terrible things,"
"Not terrible things." I denied. "Just terrible things when you're involved."
I needed him to stop touching me, because the slight rub of his fingers over my skin made flashbacks from last night pop up all over my brain, which caused my heart rate to increase, which caused me to want to see if he was as good as he was last night sober, which was a horrible thought to have indeed when you're dealing with a childhood enemy.
"More wine." I stood and walked back to the fridge, ignoring the half-open bottle on the table. I needed space from him.
"There's wine here." I kept my back to him, walking to the small sink and standing in front of it. I needed my space. I hated Jude Hastings, with a passion… But something inside of me wanted to let him in, let him change my mind about him, or at least let a part of him in… "Darcy." His voice was suddenly behind me, his hands on my hips, the edge of my shirt lifting as he held on.
Stop it Darcy. Stop thinking with your metaphorical dick.
His right hand left my hip and went to the hair that covered my neck, pushing it out of the way. My hands gripped onto the bench tighter, as I told myself over and over not to turn around, not to face him because if I did then that was it. We'd end up in my bed, our incoming food forgotten. But then his lips touched my neck and my knees went weak as my head lolled backwards resting on his shoulder, and I wasn't sure I was in the mood for Chinese anymore. I turned around, looking up at Hastings.
"Do you want to know what I think when I think about you, Darcy?" He whispered, his hands pushing the hair behind my ear as I numbly nodded. "I see the little girl who wore a sunflower sundress and ran around my parents' backyard like a kid on a sugar high." I knew the exact dress he was talking about. "The little girl who I got Christmas photos with every year up until we were thirteen… That was when you started to hate me." He was right. "You will always be the little girl I had a crush on when I was eight."
"You… You had a crush on me?" A smile that made my heart race spread across his lips.
"Only the biggest one, you were the cutest girl I'd ever seen."
Don't fall for it Darcy, this is all part of his big old plan to make you fall in love with his stupid squishable face.
"Dinner will be here in a minute. I'm going to wash up." I sidestepped around him and made my way to my small bathroom. "Get together, Darcy." I muttered, leaning against the door as soon as I'd shut it, disconnecting myself from the girl who was just fawning all over Hastings. "Fuck," I walked over the sink and took a look at myself. My cheeks were flushed and my hair was slightly puffed from where Hastings had moved it aside to kiss my neck.
Involving parents and colleagues was a level of dirty. Inflicting emotional bullshit from the past was a whole new level of dirty. Clearly, Hastings had no problem playing that card.
If he really thinks he can get me on the sentimental crap just because I'm a woman, then I'm going to use the greatest weakness of a man against him.
"Hastings, you are going down." My hands gripped onto the edge of the sink as I formulated my plan. Thankfully years of watching Hastings be a man whore in front of me I knew exactly what to do to get his blood pumping.
"Darcy," His fingers tapped against the door, "Dinner is here."
"You start." I walked over pulling the door open wide. "I'm just going to change." I walked past him and into my bedroom, shutting the sliding doors that cut it off from the rest of the apartment, making sure I left a sizeable gap for any peering eyes - trust me, there were going to be peeping eyes. "Where are you," I muttered, looking at the pile of clothes I'd discarded before I'd begun cooking today. I needed Hastings shirt. "Bingo." I spotted the white material underneath my jeans. Stripping from the dress I made sure the straps of my bra - I'd paid a lot for it once upon a time, I needed it to come through for me - could be seen, or at least enough for Hastings to see through the thin fabric of his shirt. Pulling it over my body, I fastened the buttons before pulling a pair of white socks over my feet. I could feel his eyes on me as I stood back up, fixing my hair and pulling the shirt down.
Play innocent, Darcy.
"Smells good." I called out as I turned. There he was, standing at the kitchen bench filled with Chinese take out watching me. His eyes looked drastically darker and I don't think it was just because of the distance between us. I pushed the doors open trying to control the smile that wanted to break out on my face as I walked over to the bench. "Yum." I picked up the container of chow mien. "You not eating?"
"What I want isn't exactly on the menu."
"Oh?" I picked up the menu and waved it. "They're usually pretty good. You could have asked them to make it." I lifted myself up onto a clean spot on the bench, crossing my legs underneath each other. "I'm sure it could have been on the menu."
"Darcy," His eyes were travelling all over my body. "This isn't fair."
"What I'm going to eat all this Chinese, and you don't get any?"
"Yeah." He picked up a nearby carton and shoved a pair of chopsticks inside. "Something like that."
"I can't wait for bed." I lifted one of my arms above my head and stretched, cool air hitting the newly exposed skin. "I'm so beat."
"Fucking Christ." He mumbled, shaking his head.
Darcy - One.
Man-whore demon - nill.
"Language." I quipped, picking a noodle from the carton and popping it into my mouth. "Mhhhmm." I moaned excessively at the taste. Turn it up, why don't you, Darcy.
Good luck not busting a nut tonight, Hastings.
