Lonelyeyes....I love you, Lonelyeyes.... Anyway. So. I made a little Lonelyeyes fanfic. Enjoy, I suppose. I haven't properly written in a while, or posted writing, at that, but. We ball
Warnings I guess? Mentions of death and age and stuff, might be slightly ooc for them buttttt wtv
"Peter!" The voice called out from behind him. He didn't even need to turn around. No, he recognised the voice without the face. He sat at the well worn wooden bench, hands shoved in his pockets. Simply watching the choppy waves of the Thames River, the thick, lonely morning fog rolling over it. He was almost at peace.
Behind him, the steps got closer, and closer, until they were almost right next to him.
"Elias."
He spoke, his voice flat as the smaller man sat down on the bench next to him, following Peters gaze, and watching the waves, much like him.
"Long time, no see, Peter."
Peter shifted uncomfortabley. He hated having to sit close to anyone, to talk to anyone if it wasn't nesecary. It wasnt so bad that it was Elias who was speaking to him and sitting next to him....but still bad.
"Yes, I suppose so... What is it you want, Elias."
He spoke bluntly, to the point; He knew Elias was after something, he always was.
"Can't two old friends catch up, without needing a reason?"
"No. Not if you're involved. I know you, I know there is always an ulterior motive. So, I'll ask again; What is it you want?"
Elias scoffed, half amused, half annoyed.
"Well... I just need to ask a little favour, of sorts. I'm going away soon. I won't be able to look after my Institute."
Peter raised an eyebrow at this.
"And, what, I suppose you want me to do it for you? What gives you the idea that I'll do that?"
"I figured that, since the Lukas's and the Institute have had a very long partnership together, that you might be willing. And besides, it'll only be for a little bit, whilst I'm away. As soon as all the pieces of my plan fall into place, you'll be out of there, and back to The Lonely."
For a few moments, Peter did not reply. He thought over it, but he knew he couldn't refuse Elias, anyway. Damn it.
"...You have a way with words, Elias, you know that? Fine. I'll look after your precious Institute, but only to an extent. If your employees decide to do something stupid, or get hurt, I'm not intervening."
"Thats fine by me."
Elias replied, a slight chuckle in his voice. Peter didn't understand what was so amusing, but said nothing. He simply continued to enjoy the peace and tranquility, till it was once again broken.
"You look...More tired nowadays, Peter."
"Yes, well. I'm getting old. I'm more worn. It catches up to everyone..."
He pauses, and glances over at Elias, before adding on, slowly:
"Or, almost everyone."
Once again, Elias laughed that same smooth laugh. He knew he would live to be older than Peter. His tone took a slight turn, almost... concern.
"Just... Take care of yourself."
This suprised Peter, just a little. It wasn't often Elias would show...Well, any type of feeling for another.
"I am. Or, atleast, I'm trying."
"Well, thats something, atleast. I just dont want to lose you."
Elias felt odd saying things like this. He was never really able to say these things without feeling off. But with Peter? He was genuine.
"You won't. Not soon, anyway, if I can help it."
Peter's gaze turned down. Truthefully, it had felt strange to have Elias - or anyone - care for him, but not all unwelcome. He felt compelled to move his hand, placing it on top of Elias's own, intertwining their fingers, almost suprising himself. Despite the smile on Elias's face, there was a heavy feeling in his chest, an awful dread. For him, he didn't doubt he would live for a long time, but Peter... Peter could feel the change in atmosphere, the change in the silence, and eventually spoke up.
"When I do...Well, you know...When I'm gone. I don't want you- I don't want it to get in the way of anything. I dont want you to be sad..."
The words made Elias's chest tighten more.
"Don't talk nonsense, Peter. You don't get to decide if I'm sad or not."
Peter looked away slightly. Had he said the wrong thing? He wasn't doing very well at this... He shook his head a little.
"No, no, of- of course not, i just mean... i just..."
His voice trailed off a little, and goes quiet. He couldn't even find the words to say.
"...Please, don't leave me."
Elias said simply, quietly. It was clear that the idea of out living Peter had hit him hard, and Peter once more, didn't know how to reply. He simply gave the other mans hand a gentle squeeze, and pulled him close next to him.

Fic: Who Could Love Me Better
For @twodrunkencelestials, have a LonelyEyes with "divorce of convenience" theme! In which Peter and Elias divorce so Peter can fulfill his family duty with another marriage, SFW with angst.
Who Could Love Me Better
After the divorce has been finalized, Peter comes to Elias's house for one last time.
"I guess you won't miss this place that much," Elias says when he opens the door for Peter, stepping aside to let him in from the rain outside. "You never spent much time here in the first place."
"You never know," Peter replies, although Elias is right; Elias's house is just a house to him, not a home the way Tundra is. Still, Peter knows how to move there, where to take off his shoes and where to leave his clothes, where to go for the cognac. He heads to the living room and the cabinet there, seeking out the bottle of cognac from Elias's selection of liquor.
"You read my mind," Elias comments behind Peter, voice thick with amusement. "Which one of us belongs to the Eye again?"
The idea of belonging to the Eye is, as ever, repulsive to Peter. He shudders, but takes the cognac out.
"That would be you." He takes two glasses out too, watching Elias's reflection in the cabinet's glass door. Elias is smiling, standing just close enough to Peter for Peter to sense the warmth of his body, but not quite touching. Being his usual self, in other words, and while that should be a relief, it irritates Peter. But Peter doesn't comment on it for now, taking the bottle and the glasses over to living room instead.
They sit on the sofa side by side, Elias's knee brushing against Peter's. Peter is the one who pours the cognac; he always is.
"To think we won't be doing much of this anymore." Elias's voice is soft and wistful. "But you will come see me sometimes, won't you? Or will that be a problem for your future bride?"
"If it is, then it's not someone I ought to marry." Peter takes his cognac, taking a long sip instead of answering. But he can't put the words off forever, doesn't even want to. "I will. All my family wants out of a marriage is a heir. They won't care about minor details."
Peter risks a glance at Elias, who is looking thoughtful. Elias has his cognac in his hand, but instead of drinking it, he's waving the glass around a little bit, watching as the liquor splashes within it.
"You know, I know it's just usual business thing for your family." Elias turns his head towards Peter, and the smile on his lips takes a bitter edge. "It still stings to be considered a minor detail in your life."
Elias could give Peter relief now, look away and drink his damn cognac. But he stares at Peter instead, his grey eyes serious, and since Peter isn't looking away, he has to address this. Licking his lips, he puts his glass back down on the coffee table, and turns towards Elias on the sofa.
"Do you want me to apologize?" he asks. "You said you understood."
"I do. I still get to have feelings about this, don't I?" Elias puts his glass down too, reaching out to rest his hand on Peter's knee. He grips it, the clutch of his fingers tight despite him being a smaller man, and Peter lets him, lets him touch him and look at him. "And no, Peter, I don't want your apologies. I just want to know that it mattered."
Peter doesn't think he has ever seen the Lonely hang so close to Elias, dimming his sharp gaze, brewing despair in his voice. It's beautiful.
"It did," he whispers.
Elias says nothing, just nods as his grip on Peter's knee loosens. But as Peter tries to stand up, eager to flee, Elias grasps him by the arm, pulling him back down. A moment later, Elias is moving in on him, his lips pressing tight against Peter's own, his hand finding its way to the back of Peter's head. Peter slings his arms around Elias, pulling him against himself as he kisses Elias back.
It's a bitter kiss, an angry one with teeth and hair pulling and fingers pressing bruises into skin, and it makes Peter feel too much. He shoves Elias away from himself, gasping for breath as soon as their mouths have parted. This seems to satisfy Elias, who is starting to smile like himself again. ´ "Do visit me, Peter," he says. "Know that I always appreciate your company."
Peter can only nod.

Ok but Peter and Elias are preak money money money by ABBA dynamic. Elias looks the part as CEO all dolled up but Peter is essentially supplying his paycheck and is loaded dude. They are both halves of the aesthetic. Do you understand me.

You ever think of how Martin defeated Peter with the power of low self-esteem? Peter told him that he was the Hero and Martin thought to himself "He must be lying", because he didn't believe that he could ever be the hero in anyone's story.
You ever think of how the exact opposite happened with Jon because he believed Elias? He believed if he did everything by himself then he could save others from harm, but his actions led to situations that hurt every single person he loved.
Ever think of how Martin is the hero of Jon's story. How Martin inadvertently saves him over and over again just by being....himself. His clumsy, determined and brave self. It's how he doesn't save Jon in the traditional sense, he just reminds him to be human.
Ever think of how Martin ends up the hero of TMA in general because he could sacrifice the person he loved the most to save the world.
It's the contrast between The Hero and the Ordinary Man. The Saviour and The Monster.
A repeat of Basira and Daisy's story. Daisy thought she was the hero killing all the monsters to protect Basira. Until she found the monster in the mirror. The monster staring at the end of Basira's gun, staring at The Hero who had tears running down her face.
This isn't an "I love TMA" thing.
This is an "I wonder if Martin ever realised how amazing he was" thing.
Everyone talks about how Martin was proven right with Peter only using him to get to Elias, but did Martin even take note of when he was proven wrong?
Did he ever realise how incredibly hard it is to do the right thing? That he did it anyway, giving up the one good thing he had left, for the sake of so many others. Even if he expected to die with Jon, did Martin ever realise that he was an amazing hero?

Stiles, singing while cleaning: oh, and I'm so into you~ * points at Derek *
Peter: is he always this annoying?
Eli: Ohhhh, I wouldn’t say that if I were you…
Derek, already behind Peter with his hands around Peter’s throat: SAY IT AGAIN! I DARE YOU TO SAY THAT ABOUT MY HUSBAND AGAIN. THE LIGHT OF MY LIFE, THIS FAMILY’S SAVING GRACE, MY SONS MOTHER!

Fic: Just Communication
For Twitter requester, here is a LonelyEyes with "nobody believes they are dating" theme! Set before the show. Guest appearances by Nathaniel Lukas and Simon.
Just Communication
"You have grown close to Jonah Magnus, haven't you?"
Peter knows that Nathaniel is deceptive; he might sound perfectly casual, and still have a knife hiding in his words. Therefore, Peter has to be cautious.
"I have," Peter says, his own voice calm. "Not willingly though."
"Of course not." There is faint approval in Nathaniel's voice, but it could also be a trap, so Peter doesn't let his guard down. Nathaniel goes on, his voice still plain: "It's actually good that you get along with him. Jonah Magnus has been an ally of the family for years, and it would be better to keep it that way."
"How about you get to the point?"
Being rude is risky, but Peter doesn't like mind games, so the sooner he puts an end to them the better. Nathaniel raises his brows, but doesn't seem offended.
"My point is that you're doing well, Peter, and you should keep doing what you do." Nathaniel's voice hardens a bit. "So you should fix your attitude, both with the family and Mr. Magnus. We don't afford to push him away."
And with that, Nathaniel gives himself away. Peter restrains a sigh of relief; nobody still knows the truth.
*
"Simon," Elias says. "What brings you to my office today?"
He could scold Simon for barging in without an invitation, but he knows it's no use; Simon will just pretend he didn't hear a word Elias just said. So Elias lets Simon walk around in his office, investigate the shelves, even Elias's desk.
"I miss it when you had a skull on your desk, it was funny." Simon finally sits down, crossing his legs as he gives Elias a bright smile. "Now, I'm here to talk to you about Peter Lukas."
Well, isn't this interesting? Has Simon sniffed them out, being as nosy as he is? "What about him?" Elias asks, keeping his voice cool.
"You two have been spending a lot of time together." Simon links his fingers together above his knee, and although there is still an amused glint in his eyes, they have become sharp. "As an old, quite literally, friend of his, I want to caution you to be careful with him. He isn't used to having friends and I know you are a vicious creature to have for a friend."
"Saying that from experience?" Elias asks, smiling himself.
"Naturally." Simon shrugs. "Anyway, whatever nasty things you have in mind for him, I suggest you watch your step. He has other friends too."
Elias laughs, leaning forward in his chair.
"What if I have him wrapped around my finger already?" he asks, keeping his tone playful. Still, he has his guard up; if Simon really knows somethng, it could spell trouble for him and Peter.
To his relief, Simon snorts at this words.
"Please, as if you could resist the urge to air it out to the world." Simon shakes his head, starting to get up from the chair. "But remember what I said, Elias. Don't go toying with him." He gives Elias another sharp look. "You will regret it."
Simon is right; it's hard for Elias not to taunt him straigth in his face. But he keeps his words down, and only nods.
*
In the afternoon, Peter comes for a visit.
"I had a talk with good old Uncle Nathaniel today," Peter says instantly upon entering the office, just barely having closed the door behind him. "He was telling me to be nice to you, which I think means that he doesn't know just how nice I have been."
"That is some strange timing." Elias frowns, leaning back in his chair. "Simon Fairchild came to me today to tell me to stay away from you."
Peter's eyes widen. "Do you think he knows?"
"I don't think anyone knows for sure, but it seems like your family and Simon are aware that something is going on. Your family seems to approve so far, but that could change." Elias looks over to Peter, who still lingers by the door. "But it also means we have done a good job keeping our affair secret. We should keep doing what we do."
"That's kind of what my uncle said." Peter sighs, but takes his coat off, signaling he's about to get comfortable. "Now, do you have anything to drink here?"
"Don't be ridiculous. We will go to my house once my work is done." Elias smiles at Peter. "You could give me a back rub while I'm at it. Help my concentration."
"Since when have you needed anything to help with that?" But Peter is smiling too, tossing his coat over to the sofa in Elias's office before pacing over to Elias, tracing his arm with his fingertips as he moves behind him.
It's good that Elias is the one whose god watches; they will be safe from other prying eyes for a while. But if they eventually are exposed- well, it will take a little more than disapproval from family and friends to make Elias back off.
Not now that he has decided that Peter is his.
