what devastates me the most about shinjiro’s death is the fact that deep down i think he really wanted to live. he spends all his time trying to convince everyone, including himself, that he doesn’t- says he doesn’t have much longer to live anyway, the suppressant side effects will kill him soon, he doesn’t want to spend what little time he has left stuck in school, his life isn’t worth half as much as anyone else’s- yet after he dies you can find the high school reinstatement form mitsuru gave him sitting in his desk drawer. he signed it. he was thinking about it. he was hoping again. he was keeping his promise— literally a final act of love. he wanted to live again. goddddd
